I have yet another Tiny Toons fanfiction involving animated movie/TV characters existing in an alternate universe from ours, as well as Furrball rebelling against his original role and mistreatment, and this one's supposed to be the ultimate of the ideas. This fanfiction is one I've been considering since 2014, and is a response to a majority of the fandom's ideas for continuations and how cats are treated in the Looney Tunes world.
Working Title: Furrball and the Final Frontier (not sure if it would be the final title)
Plot: In an alternate Earth where animated characters have somehow found a way to exist by themselves (i.e. Garfield Gets Real), a selected group of cartoon characters (who are ignored and/or mistreated by their various fictional societies, feeling like they don't belong) are invited aboard a giant luxurious spaceship on a re-colonization mission to another planet that's a replica of Earth and is uninhabited. They accept because they feel they'll belong better on the Earth replica than the Earth they already live on (not OUR Earth, by the way). Then there's a huge galactic voyage, and well...to be honest, I don't know where the story goes from there. That's the main problem, figuring out how to pick the plot up from there, making it a decent story.
Inspirations for this story included Yellow Submarine, WALL-E, Titanic, DreamWorks's Home/Almost Home, Wreck-It Ralph, and the Animal Train/Oi! Get Off Our Train! (1998). Like the last one, this story involves animals boarding a mode of transportation to escape their miserable homes in search of a better life.
Deal with the first Toon Earth: Almost all characters co-exist peacefully, and most of them have evolved from how we see them in their films and shows (i.e. some villains aren't truly villainous to the core, some dumb characters are a teensy bit brighter than their canon media, and despite their companies being rivals, Disney and WB characters accept each other's existence). This doesn't apply to literally every character, mind you. Of course, with the Looney Tunes/Tiny Toons/Animaniacs alumni, there are some things they have difficulties to evolve from. Their world revolves around the viewers of the universe, and both laughter and remembrance (especially from those who DO remember Tiny Toons and Animaniacs) keep the world from disappearing.
The characters do not belong to me, except some original characters I would get to when I cross the bridge.
Here are the misfit characters that would be boarding the ship:
1. Furrball Cat (Tiny Toon Adventures; yes, he's the main protagonist)
Reasons: Ever since the show ended, he's learned that in the Looney Tunes world, after they're done filming their media, there's no justice or respect for cats, especially not Sylvester, Tom or him, and decides that being immortal is not worth not having respect from everyone else around him. He also learns that Buster and the gang are part of a clique who follow a law that cats should not be treated as equals (i.e. not allowed in public places like stores while rabbits and ducks are) in order to keep their old-school viewers happy, don't let him in their friend circle because of the anti-cat law and because they don't believe in risking his cramping their style (as they seemed to value stardom over friendship with him). Basically, he refuses to continue living on the planet or do further media if everyone around him thinks he's worthless. Also, he doesn't want to be continued to be reprimanded by Sylvester and be considered nothing compared to a certain skunkette (when people love her and not him).
2. Buttons (Animaniacs)
Reason: Though the Animaniacs cast would miss him, he believes Furrball needs more protection than Mindy.
3. Tyrone Turtle (Tiny Toon Adventures)
Reason: While not mistreated by Buster and the gang, he looks up to Furrball like a big brother and wants to be by his side (in a friend/brother-type way), even if no one else wants to.
4. Scratte (Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs)
Reason: since everyone hates saber-toothed squirrels (treating them like Frankenstein's monster, hurting them and what-not), and she just wants to live peacefully without being viewed as a monster without feelings (and yes, she'd be evolved from the typical saber-tooth squirrel personality)
5. Panthy (Noah's Ark)
Reason: redemption, but everyone will just view her as a villain because of her being a villain. I got the idea of Panthy reforming in the animated world from some fanfictions where she was good, but I'm leaving them unmentioned to avoid getting the authors of those in trouble.
6. Randall Boggs (Monsters Inc./University)
7. Lots-O-Huggin' Bear (Toy Story 3)
8. the entire cast of Skunk Fu! (except for Dragon, Baboon and the Ninja Monkeys)
Reason: The public doesn't believe that they should live in the same fictional universe as the Kung Fu Panda cast (and I like both franchises, but the mass opinion gets the Skunk Fu cast believing that they'd never be missed)
9. the critters of Over the Hedge
Reason: The public doesn't remember them, even though they'd like to another adventure
10. Foulfellow and Gideon (Pinocchio)
Reason: They can't make an honest living with every job they apply for gets denied
11. Scalawag and Igor (Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night)
12. Julie Bruin (Tiny Toon Adventures)
Reason: I haven't figured her reason to leave in spite of how popular she is.
13. Hugo, Rita, her mother and siblings (Jungledyret Hugo movies)
14. CatDog, their relatives, their blue monster mother, their frog father, Dunglap, Lola and that pig friend of theirs (CatDog)
Reason: Everyone in Nearburg hates Catdog, as well as anyone who supports them
15. Scrappy-Doo (Scooby-Doo)
Reason: wants to make a living without being hated
16. the good guy cast of Rock-A-Doodle (and Edmond is in his kitten form)
17. Kitty Katswell (T.U.F.F. Puppy)
Reason: for always being the butt-monkey of her show
Again, the idea is a work-in-progress, because I don't know where the plot will go once the voyage begins. I'm open to suggestions, well almost all.
Type of suggestions I will NOT accept:
* Furrball deciding he's okay with everyone considering him inferior and worthless compared to Buster, Babs, Plucky, Shirley, Hampton, Sweetie, the Warners, Sneezer, Skippy, Slappy, Calamity, Lil Sneezer, Dizzy, Lil Beeper and Byron.
* Furrball ending up with a generic female non-anthro cat. If you want him to have another cat for a love-interest, have her be anthro and talking. I'm not taking the easy way out.
* Furrball and Rita not being a couple. Again, not taking the easy way out. Rita may talk, but he's still hardly an anthro.
* Fifi and Hampton being a full bonafide couple. I will never show interest in the couple and I will never accept the idea that he's her mate. I might make a reference to the prom episode but I won't have them depicted as a couple now.
* Furrball accepting to be a punching bag for anyone.
* Furrball accepting to be Elmyra's favorite torture object.
Other than that, if you have ideas for when the actual story comes, please share. You may suggest ideas toonsters trying to talk him out of abandoning Toon Earth, but I don't think it would be believable that Buster and everyone else would want him to stay.
