Thea Queen was lost. She could not sleep, not without falling into countless dreams about her brother, Oliver's fate before his death. It had all been her fault too. After she had finally confronted Oliver's friends and her father about why Oliver had been missing for over four weeks, they sat her down and explained what happened.
Her father revealed that Oliver had gone to fight Ra's al Ghul, The Demons Head, and leader of the League of Assassins to protect her. Malcolm had drugged her and she murdered Sara Lance, a woman who had been her friend. She was a killer now, all thanks to Malcolm And Ollie was dead. Her former father found the sword that killed him and stated that Olivers body was unrecoverable, pushed into the ravine below the cliff, where the duel had taken place.
She kicked Malcolm out the second he was done explaining his part in her brothers death. She no longer wanted anything to do with him, after discovering what he had done, what she had done.
What Thea now knew to be Team Arrow, Diggle, Felicity, Laurel, and Roy, all stayed after to explain to her that they weren't sure if Oliver was actually dead, expressing their belief that he could possibly still be alive. They then told her about how Oliver was the Arrow, the vigilante that protected their city. Thea was too distraught to actually comment, but in her head it made sense. Oliver randomly disappearing all the time, his advanced senses, quick reflexes, his "motorcycle" accidents.
Team Arrow left to give Thea her space, while Roy stayed, holding Thea as she sobbed in his arms. Thea eventually told Roy to leave as well, and that led to Thea now sitting in her living room with a glass of wine, her thought's filled with disgust towards herself, and guilt about Sara's death.
Unknown Location
Nearly half a world away, Oliver Queen shot up from his bed panting. He was, like Thea, having trouble sleeping, unable to escape the nightmares about his fall off the cliff. The memory for the cold wind freezing his skin as he fell, and the feeling of helplessness, having no way to save himself from the fall. The last thing he could remember the impact as he hit the ledge. The snow softened his fall, but not by much. Oliver thought he was going to die, before succumbing to unconsciousness.
Beside him Nyssa woke as well, immediately alert, "What happened, did they find us?"
Oliver shook his head, "No, it was just a bad dream, I'm fine now."
"No you are not," Nyssa responded, "You are still shaking slightly. Was... the nightmare about the fall, or your past?"
"The fall," Oliver answered shakily, "I can't get it out of my head, I just felt so helpless, there was nothing I could do to stop myself from falling."
"It's okay to not be okay Oliver, falling from a cliff and then dying is a terribly traumatic experience that most wouldn't survive. You survived due to your sheer strength and will to live. Your body may be almost healed but it will take time for your mind to recover." Nyssa said softly while rubbing his back in circles.
"I did it for Thea you know," Oliver whispered, "She's my little sister, and Malcolm, her own father, drugged her with Votura, and told her to kill Sara. He.. he even had a video of it, Malcolm told me he would show it to your father, if I didn't challenge him to a duel. Don't kill her, please. Thea wasn't in control and she would be haunted if she knew."
"I have heard of the drug called Votura, I will not kill your sister, she may have fired the arrows, but Malcolm Merlyn is Sara's true killer. Al Sa-her will face justice for his actions."
"Thank you," Oliver replied, "Malcolm Merlyn is in need of a reckoning, he took part in killing my father, the people in the Glades, drugged Thea, and his actions led to Sara's death, his list of crimes continues to grow."
"It's been over 5 weeks now, and over a week since you woke up. Your arm is healed, and your chest is almost fully healed thanks to the herbs. We may leave today, but you must be careful, and not overwork yourself. Your wounds are newly healed. I will pack necessities, you should get dressed, you will need to put a heavy coat on." Nyssa said, before quickly leaving the room.
10 minutes later Oliver had finished getting ready to leave, it had taken him longer than usual due to his chest injury not being completely healed. He walked out toward the exit of the small house when before could react Nyssa pulled him down quickly. "Quiet, I think the League has found us. There is two squads outside, we can't taken them all alone with you not being fully healed." Nyssa whispered.
Oliver looked at her not speaking but instead silently asking her what to do through facial expressions.
Nyssa got his question and looked behind them, "We will go out the window, through the back, we can't get caught."
Oliver nodded and followed Nyssa through the window in the room he had been staying in. Nyssa quietly opened the window, jumping though the window and then helping Oliver out after her. "We must go now, as fast as we can. I don't want to fight my fathers men without back up, it is a death sentence kill a fellow member of the League."
"How will we get out of here, is there roads nearby?" Oliver asked.
"We must hike for a short while, but yes, past the forest there is a road, we can get a ride from there." Nyssa said in response.
"Will we return to Starling City?" Oliver questioned.
"Yes," Nyssa said, "You need to see your sister, but we will eventually need to go to Nanda Parbat, my father will search Starling as soon as his shadows report back, that we fled the house back there."
Oliver gave Nyssa a grateful nod, and then turned back to watch the path ahead of them in the forest, staying vigilant incase the League caught up to them.
Nanda Parbat
Al Sayf nervously entered the main room in the fortress, where their leader Ra's al Ghul was overseeing the training of new recruits. Sarab was walking next to him as they went to give their report.
"Al Sayf, Sarab, do you bring me my heir?" Ra's al Ghul asked calmly.
"No my lord, we found the house they had stayed in but it had been recently vacated, we suspected that they escaped through the window. By the time we checked the premises they were already gone." Al Sayf replied with his head bowed.
"Should we continue our search in all near areas my liege?" Sarab questioned respectfully.
"No, they will most likely be gone. We will let them leave. They will return to Starling City, Oliver Queens connections with his old life are strong. We will retrieve them from there. You will both go with one squad, and I will take another. We shall depart on the plane for Starling City in two days." Ra's al Ghul demanded in response.
Chapter Three is out!
Thea finds out the truth. I tried my best to portray her accurately because I believe if she found out she killed Sara, her father drugged her, Oliver was "dead", and was the Arrow all the the same she would be pretty traumatised.
Oliver and Nyssa talk about Olivers nightmare and Sara's death. They then get ready to leave and are found by the League, but luckily escape in time. Next chapter they will return to Starling city and encounter the Team, Malcolm and Thea!
Ra's al Ghul is still in search of Nyssa and Oliver, and is now taking two squads of shadows, with Al Sayf and Sarab to Starling City, to find his runaway daughter and his heir. (Two squads is 14 shadows + Al Sayf, Sarab, and Ra's al Ghul.)
Back to what I said in the first chapter about how I thought Oliver should have accepted his place as heir to the Demon, and eventually assume control of the League. I also don't think he should have given the title of Ra's al Ghul to Malcolm, who out of all people was the worst and most stupid choice. I would have at least given it to my wife Nyssa, it was her birthright. (If we are going by the show and he gives the title away.)
Another thing is how much more well trained and ruthless Al Sahem (League trained Oliver) was. That was by far my favourite version of Oliver besides in season 1 "the Hood." After that I personally didn't like the Arrow as much. I've watched the whole show, but in my opinion season 3 was the last good season. They watered down Olivers fighting skills so much, after that. There were some good parts on season 4 and 5 but after that, seriously. He had to turn himself into the FBI for protection against Diaz? If he had control of the League they would have absolutely destroyed Diaz. If he was still as ruthless as he was in season 1 and when he was Al Sahem in the League, then those villains like Prometheus and Diaz wouldn't have stood a chance. Even Damien Darhk would have been defeated quicker if Oliver had the backing of the whole League.
Thank you for reading! The next chapter should be out soon.
