PREVIOUSLY-
"I love you more than anything, starshine." He told me as he lowered his arms to wrap around me, kissing my head sweetly.
"I love you too, Seth, always." I replied before we both fell asleep.
Over the next week, Charlie and I moved all of my things down to my new basement apartment with no signs of Edward thus far.
We always had a wolf escort, either Seth, Sam, or Jacob when we went back up to Forks, just in case. Charlie still worked as normal but had been staying the night with Billy.
I was getting restless though. I could feel it in the air. I knew something would happen, and soon.
On the last day of moving my things, Charlie was working and Jacob was with me, helping me pack my last few things.
"Why do you have a painting of a dog?" Jacob asked as he put my painting in a box.
"Because I liked it? It's funny, I guess I've always been a dog person." I laughed at my own joke.
"Ouch, Bells, we're clearly majestic animals, not just common dogs." Jacob mocked putting a hand to his chest.
"Uh huh, that's why you guys all act like puppies when I scratch behind your ears?" I giggled as his eyes narrowed at me.
"I—" he was cut off we heard a loud howl, not far from the house. My expression changed from happy to worried instantly.
Jacob was in front of me in less than a second, shielding me.
Out of nowhere, my bedroom window shattered and before I knew it, I was being held by a choke hold with a freezing cold arm wrapped around my neck.
I knew at once that it was Edward. I could feel his icy skin through my clothes and smell the awful sugar-mixed-with-bleach smell the pack was always talking about that I'd never smelled before.
"Let her go, leech!" Jacob screamed at top of his lungs. "SAM! SETH! HERE NOW!"
"Please, please let me go." I begged as much as I could with my throat being constricted. I could feel the blood gathering in my face as my artery was closed off.
"No. You belong with me Isabella." Edward whispered sickly in my ear. "Even if your scent smells more like wet dog now. That can be easily changed. You're my mate and you'll be with me forever."
"I'm not your mate!" I tried to yell, terrified out of my mind as his lips grazed my pulse point.
"What have they done to you, my sweet? Your blood doesn't sing to me as it once did." He crooned to me darkly. "I saw in Alice's mind what happened on her little trip here. I will admit the thought of you living with mutts drove me to near insanity. I wanted to come immediately to get you, to save you from them, but I needed to plan my decisions around Alice's visions. I needed to taste human blood again so that I won't accidentally drain you when I bite you, my love. Now that I've tasted humans again, I dreamed of finally tasting your blood ever since. You'll make such a beautiful vampire."
So that's why he had red eyes. He wanted to turn me and had to build up his tolerance to blood so that he wouldn't kill me instead of changing me. I cried out at the thought.
"I'll have an entire pack of wolves here in minutes leech. Let her go!" Jacob yelled and I begged that they would come soon.
"Shut up, dog! I'll come after you next." Edward threatened before turning back to me. "Is he the one who you gave yourself to, my love?"
"No." I replied truthfully with it getting harder and harder to breath. "Please don't change me, I want to live!"
"Carlisle and the rest don't know yet about my recent change in diet. We'll have to be nomads once your change is final, but I've made arrangements." He spoke without even acknowledging my pleas.
Jacob knew he couldn't phase in the confines of my small room without hurting me, so he attempted to inch forward with his arms outstretched again.
"We won't let you change her, blood sucker!" Jacob growled at him.
"Back up, dog, or she dies now!" He nearly hissed as I cried out. "You can't even phase so close to her or you know she'll be injured. You're practically useless in a fight with me as a human." He cackled in my ear grossly.
I could hear growling coming from the stairwell of my house and I knew it was Seth. Was he phased inside? He was the smallest of them, so I guessed he could fit.
"Seth, please!" I cried, but there was nearly no sound as my wind pipe closed in.
My door flew open and my giant wolf walked in growling threateningly.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Edward spat at my Seth. "So you're the one my precious Isabella has tainted herself with. I might not be able to read your minds because of the atrocious singing, very clever by the way, but she smells like you, and you like her. She even begs for your help. She won't get it. She'll become like me soon enough."
My wolf growled even louder, advancing toward us. I cried out as Edward's hold got tighter on my neck and I felt his razor sharp teeth run across my neck.
"You're going to die, leech! The rest of the pack is right outside waiting for you." Jacob told him threateningly.
"There's just something I need to do first, mutt." Edward growled before I felt an excruciating pain in my neck and the worst burning feeling I could ever imagine.
I fell out of his grasp to the floor before I knew it and vaguely heard screaming and more glass breaking through the pain.
This was it. I was going to either die or change, and both would kill my Seth. I prayed to the spirits that he hadn't gotten Charlie first.
I felt hot arms pick me up and carry me somewhere quickly as I screamed out.
"Kill me! Please kill me! Don't let me change!" I begged whoever was carrying me with agonizing cries of pain and fire rushing through me, burning me from the inside out. "Please just kill me! Please!"
I felt the heat rush through my veins as I also felt my mark burning viciously. I prayed it would be over soon and that somehow Seth would survive my ultimate death.
"I'm… sorry… I love you… Seth." I whispered out between labored breaths as I felt my body shutting down.
Things began to get blurry as I felt consciousness leave me, and all I could think was that I would never exist without my imprint, my Seth.
A/N- You guys hate me right now, don't you?
What do you think will happen?
