Two weeks after that, I was 18 weeks pregnant. We were finally able to tell the sex of the baby, and the pack was holding a dinner for us after our ultrasound for a gender reveal.

Sue did the ultrasound and we decided we didn't want to know until we were with the pack, so she knew before we did. She printed off the picture and put it in an envelope for us to open when we got to the dinner.

As we walked over to Emily's, I turned to look at Seth.

"So what do you think it is?" I asked him curiously.

"I'm really not sure. I'm kind of on the fence about it, honestly. The wolf part of me wants a boy to pass on the name, the wolf gene, and all that good stuff, but the human part of me wants a girl. You know the pack all thinks it's a boy, other than Leah." He told me.

"Oh really? All of them but Leah?" I asked.

"Yep. What do you think?" He asked me.

"I'm on the fence too. Your mom said boys are easier to raise." I told him and he laughed out loud.

"HA! Says the woman whose 16-year-old son is getting married and has a pregnant fiancé. Boys are easier to raise… Leah's 19 and doesn't even have a boyfriend." He laughed.

"Let me rephrase. She said baby boys are easier. Every teenager is difficult. We just happen to have a different set of circumstances." I laughed along with him.

"So you think it's a boy?" He asked.

"I'm not saying I think it's a boy, I'm just saying there's a higher probability that it is, considering the wolf gene and the fact that it was your wolf that wanted me pregnant." I explained.

"I guess we'll see soon, starshine." He replied as we walked into Emily's.

"Oh my gosh, Bella, I'm so excited!" Emily shouted as we walked in.

"Are you in the same group as the guys, all thinking it's a boy?" I asked her curiously.

"I personally think it's a girl, but that's just me." Emily said with a wink. "Everyone's here, so whenever you want to do your show and tell…"

We gathered over in the living room and Seth stood behind me, holding my belly like he loved to do so much. We could definitely feel the baby moving now and he couldn't get enough of it.

"Well go on, we're all waiting here!" Jared yelled impatiently with the others joining in on the sentiment.

"Seth, you want to do the honors?" I asked him and he smiled brightly. I handed him the envelope and he let go of me to open it, pulling out the picture and smiling big, making me very curious.

"Well guys, my big sister called it. It's a girl!" He said excitedly.

We were having a baby girl! I couldn't believe it. The thought made me so happy and I looked over at Seth seeing his excitement as well. He was going to be such a wonderful father, 16 or not.

"Yes! I knew it! Aunty Leah is always right!" Leah said proudly.

"We're having a girl, starshine." Seth said happily, showing me the picture. "That's our little girl."

I felt myself tearing up at the sight of the picture. Our little girl.

"Well our little girl likes the fact that everyone knows she's a little girl now." I told him as I felt her kicking excitedly. "Despite all of her uncles thinking she was a boy."

He handed the picture off to Leah and put his hands back on my belly to feel our little girl jumping around.

"I can't believe it's a girl! I thought for sure it would be a boy. Seth's got two lines of the wolf gene in him." Jacob said as he looked at the picture before passing it along.

"Well, Leah phased, which means she had both wolf genes too. Apparently it doesn't discriminate between guys and girls anymore." Seth told them.

"Congratulations to the Clearwater's, or soon to be Clearwater's." Emily winked at us.

While Seth and I hadn't officially decided on a date for the wedding, we did decide that we wanted to get married before the baby came.

"Well, at least you don't have to tell Mom." Leah laughed as the picture made it back to us.

"How much do you want to bet she's already told Charlie?" Seth asked me and I looked up at him.

"Oh she's definitely told Charlie. I'm sure of it. She'll probably tell us she hasn't and then he won't be surprised at all when we tell him." I responded.

Sure enough, that's exactly how it went down. Sue told us that she hadn't told Charlie, but when we called and told him, he didn't sound the least bit surprised.

The weeks started passing by more and more quickly as it got colder and before I knew it, it was Christmas Day.

I was 29 weeks pregnant and feeling like I was the size of a house. In reality, Sue said I was very average size, but I definitely didn't feel it.

There was snow outside and we decided to invite Charlie down to our house for Christmas so that I wouldn't accidentally slip and fall, which with my luck, I would have.

"Merry Christmas, starshine." Seth told me as I woke up while his fingers danced over my belly. "And merry Christmas, baby girl." He leaned down to kiss it.

"Mmm, Merry Christmas Seth." I told him, rolling to my side to get closer to him for his warmth.

"Using me for my body heat?" He laughed.

"Yes. Your daughter and I are cold." I murmured into his chest.

"Can't have that, now can we?" He said, pulling me closer with one arm while his other hand rested on the side of my belly.

Our little girl started kicking against her father's hand. She always seemed to know when he wanted her to kick. I figured she must've known because of his abnormal body heat, either that or she was a Daddy's girl already.

"I was thinking… How would you feel about getting married on New Year's?" Seth asked me. "I mean, I know it's kind of cliché, but it's a new year, a new beginning, and I want you to be my wife for all of it."

"We'd only have a week—"

"All we need is both of us, Billy, mom and Charlie, and the pack." He told me, reaching up to run his finger down my cheek.

"You're right. I never wanted a big flashy wedding. I just need you. We can have it on New Years. Do you want it to be at midnight?" I questioned.

"Midnight sounds perfect, starshine." Seth told me, leaned over to kiss me softly. "And our daughter agrees. Isn't that right baby girl? You want mommy and daddy to be married, don't you?"

She kicked against Seth with vigor as if she was actually answering him.

"I think it's time for us to get up and go tell Mom and Charlie the news, don't you?" He asked.

"Do I have to? I'm so comfy." I murmured.

"I promise plenty of comfy time tonight, starshine. Come on, my little girl wants to see her Mimi and Pops too." He told me, sitting up in the bed and helping me up as well.

We went up the stairs and Sue had made a wonderful breakfast for us. Charlie was already there and Leah was just coming in from patrol.

I was so happy that they'd only had one nomad pass through since the Cullens were last here and the nomad had been taken care of easily by only Paul and Jared.

"How's my niece doing on this wintery Christmas morning?" Leah asked me as she took a towel to her hair.

"Very excited today. She's about to kill my ribs." I told her as I sat down at the table.

"Try not to slouch, honey, it only makes it worse." Sue told me as she sat down a plate of food in front of me.

I tried to sit up straighter in my seat and she was right, it wasn't as bad. Still hurt, but not too much.

After breakfast, we all went and sat around the tree where our presents were. Seth was designated to hand them out because he was the youngest and I certainly wasn't in any shape to do it.

"Alright, the first one is for Mom." He handed her a small box from the both of us. "This one's for Charlie." That was from us as well. "Leah." The last one from us.

"Those are all from us." I told them with a smile.

"Alright, Bella, this ones for you." It was from Leah. "Ooh this one's for me. Can you hold mine, starshine?" He asked me and I took his as well.

He handed us all several more and we began opening the presents. I got several things for the baby and some new books and kitchen supplies. Seth hadn't given me his yet, and I hadn't given him his either. We decided we were going to exchange ours later.

"So Bella and I have another Christmas present for you guys." Seth told them and they all raised their eyebrows at us.

"Well she's already pregnant and engaged, so what else is there, baby bro?" Leah asked laughing.

"We decided when we're going to get married." He told them excitedly.

"And when's that going to be, son?" Charlie inquired.

"New Years at midnight." He said proudly.

"In a week?" Leah asked.

"Yep. We don't want anything big or flashy. Just family, the pack, and Billy to officiate. That's it." I chimed in.

"Well, it sounds like we're having a New Year's wedding then." Sue said, clapping her hands together.

"Sue and I have another present for the two of you as well." Charlie told us and we both looked between them with confused expressions.

He dug into his pocket and pulled out a key, handing it to Seth.

"Go look outside, son."

Seth helped me off the floor and we went to the front door, opening it to see a new dark blue Ford Escape sitting in the driveway.

"Dad?" I asked, wondering how he could've bought us a brand-new car.

"Sue and I went halves on it. We knew the two of you needed a family car that was 4-wheel drive and reliable. You guys have to pay for the insurance on it, though." Charlie told us as I stood there in shock, leaning against Seth.

"I don't know what to say… Thank you guys. This is amazing." I muttered, looking back at them with teary eyes.
