PREVIOUSLY-
"Miakoda Sophia Clearwater." I said, looking down at her with a smile. "We're going to call her Mia for short."
"So Koda it is." Leah said with a laugh. "I gotta admit, you two make a cute kid."
"Can you go get my dad?" I asked Leah and she nodded, heading up the stairs.
A minute later, Charlie came down the stairs and saw me holding my little baby girl.
"Charlie, this is your granddaughter, Miakoda Sophia Clearwater." Seth told him as he walked up.
I held her up a little bit so that he could see her face.
"She's beautiful. I'm so proud of you, Bells." Charlie said to me as he looked down at the sleeping baby in my arms. "Gosh she sure is a tiny thing, isn't she?"
"5lbs, 3oz." Seth said proudly.
She started tilting her head toward me again and her tiny mouth formed into the shape of an 'o' before she started whimpering.
"I think it's time to feed her. Dad can you tell Leah to let the pack know, but tell her to ask them to wait until tomorrow to come over? I think Seth and I need to have this first night to ourselves." I asked Charlie.
"Will do, kiddo. I'm going to stay here for the night, so if you two need anything just holler." Charlie responded before walking back up the stairs.
Once he was out of the room, I pulled the sheet down that was covering my chest and held Mia up to my breast.
It took her a minute to figure it out, but she finally started suckling while her tiny hand wrapped around my finger.
Seth watched in fascination the whole time.
"That's our daughter, Bella." He whispered to me as she finished feeding.
"Our little girl. I can't believe she's here already." I told him as he came to sit down in the bed next to me.
"She just couldn't wait to meet mommy and daddy. Isn't that right, my little Mia?" Seth replied, reaching his hand over to brush his finger through her tiny head of black hair.
The first night was really long for us. She woke up every two hours and I was so exhausted, but I knew that came with the territory of being a new parent.
The next day all of the pack came over just as Seth was helping me out of the shower. Sue and Charlie had taken Mia for however long it took for me to get clean.
Seth helped me get dressed, then helped me walk up the stairs to the living room where my baby girl was now being passed around the whole pack.
"Congrats, Clearwater x2" Paul said as he looked down at Mia in his arms before passing her off to Jared.
"Damn she's so tiny! It feels like I'm only holding the blanket." Jared said as he looked at her.
"How are you feeling, Bella?" Emily asked me, coming down to sit down next to me while the guys and Leah all took turns with my daughter.
"Tired and like I got ran over by a semi, but I'm so happy that she's here." I told her truthfully. "I'm sorry for not being more eloquent with my reaction to your news yesterday."
"Oh Bella, it's totally okay. You were minutes away from giving birth." She told me with a smile and laugh.
"I'm really happy for you, Emily. I swear it's truly like nothing else in the world. She's entirely worth all of the pain and exhaustion and whatever else comes." I said to her, watching as Seth kept his eyes on her protectively as she was being passed around.
"How did Sam take the news?"
"He's completely overjoyed. None of them can believe that Seth is a father before Sam though." She laughed and I shook my head.
"I'm sure Sam will be just as protective with yours as Seth is with Mia. Just look at him." I whispered to her and she looked over just as Seth was holding his arms out in case one of them accidentally dropped her. "I'm really excited that our kids will be so close in age though."
"I am too." She said with a smile before I heard Mia start crying.
"What did you do to her, Lee?" Seth questioned, taking Mia out of her arms.
"Chill over-protective daddy, Koda's just hungry. She was going for my tit and it doesn't have what she wants." Leah said as Seth brought her over to me.
"Can you go grab me a small blanket?" I asked Leah who nodded and ran down the stairs.
When she got back upstairs, she threw me the blanket and I put it over my shoulder, covering myself so that I could feed Mia without having to kick all of them out.
"I'm really happy for you and Seth, Bells. You're going to be a great mom." Jake said to me with a fond smile that still didn't quite reach his eyes.
"Thanks, Jake." I smiled back at him.
"So when are the rest of you guys going to have some kids so that Mia gets to have friends?" Seth asked all of them laughing.
"About 8 and a half months for us." Sam said proudly, but we all knew that already.
My attention was turned to Jared, who was looking away, scratching the back of his neck, and Kim, who was standing by his side, turning a shade of bright pink.
"Kim?" I questioned, looking at them curiously.
"Well, I, uh—"
"She's late and I can smell the same scent change that I could with you and Emily." Jared replied for her.
"We're going down to get some tests today." Kim said, still bright pink.
"Wow, that's great, you guys. I'm so happy for you." I told them with a bright smile.
"Yeah, the rest of us actually have to have girlfriends first." Embry replied, laughing.
"Speak for yourself. Bachelor for life, baby!" Paul said, pounding his chest like a gorilla.
The very next day, Paul imprinted on Rachel Black.
When it was time for Seth to return to school, Leah dropped him off and came home to help me with Mia during the day.
I decided that I would go surprise him by picking him up with Mia. He was truly the most wonderful father to her and you could see immediately that he loved her more than life itself. I think it was safe to say that she would be a daddy's girl for sure.
I parked in the parking lot of his school and got Mia out of her car seat, wrapping her in a blanket and leaning against the hood of the Escape, waiting for him to come out.
As soon as the bell rang and people began flooding out of the school, I could hear the whispers.
"Awww his wife brought the baby!"
"It must be a girl, the blanket is pink!"
"I can't believe Seth is a dad!"
I saw Seth come out with a huge smile on his face as he rushed over to us, holding out his arms. He took Mia and leaned in to kiss me.
"Hey starshine, how's my little girl been today?" he asked, rocking her back and forth in his arms.
"She missed her daddy, but her Aunty Leah helped a lot." I told him, smiling as I watched him with her.
"Did my little Mia miss Daddy?" He asked our daughter as she grasped onto his finger.
"Oh my gosh look at him with the baby! That's so adorable!"
"Dude, that kid is 16 and already has a wife and baby."
"Did you hear her name is Mia?"
"I want to see them up close!"
"I wonder if she'll be pale like her mom or tan like Seth?"
I laughed. Mia's skin had already darkened to a beautiful russet color, just like Seth. So far she looked like a carbon copy of him and had absolutely nothing from me, even though Seth thought she had my eyes.
"I didn't know you were bringing the baby to school today, Bells." I heard Jake say, walking up from behind Seth.
"I wanted to surprise Seth. I could feel how much he missed her all day." I told Jake honestly.
"Dude, don't hog Mia, she wants some Uncle Embry time too." Embry said to Seth as he approached.
"You realize she's my daughter, right? I think I can hog her all I want." Seth said before reluctantly handing her over to Embry.
All of the guys were totally in love with her and wanted to play pass the baby whenever they came over. They proudly claimed to be her uncles but would always give her back when she started crying.
"My turn with Koda, you need to go patrol." Jake said, having adopted the nickname Leah had given our daughter as well.
