Jim was alone when he woke up, the blankets pulled up over his shoulders. He blinked and yawned in the dim light of the cabin, his eyes glancing around the room. It looked the same as it had the day before, save for a small note on the bedside table. He let out another yawn and swung his legs off the bed as he picked up the small note and read over it.
Jimbo,
Sorry I wasn't there when you woke up, I had some work that needed done. I'll be pretty busy with the crew for most of today. Make sure you eat your breakfast, and just tidy up the cabin some. Once you're done with that, meet dogbreath in the galley and help him out until I find other work for ya. Don't worry, he knows better than to mess with you. I'll call for you if I need you, otherwise I will talk to you tonight.
-J. Silver
Jim sighed as he read over the note again, running his fingers through his hair as he thought for a few minutes, his tired brain not wanting to process written words. Guess work still has to be done. He thought as he sighed and hopped off the bed, sliding on his boots, and getting to work.
The cabin was pretty easy, it was already fairly neat so the overall upkeep took maybe ten minutes. Once it was finished, Jim fixed his hair a bit and left the cabin to make his way to the Galley. His eyes roamed over the pirates as they all worked, momentarily shocked as they nodded to him as he passed. He saw no sign of Silver.
The Galley still felt like home, even with Dogbreath's strange, hectic movements making a mess of it. Jim stood in the doorway, watching the alien work on some sort of stew, a pile of dishes slowly growing in one corner of the room, when the cook stopped to look at Jim, he put on a very forced smile.
"Oh, ah, hiya Jim!" Dogbreath said. "Did the Captain need somethin?"
"No." Jim shrugged. "He told me to come help you out, until he needed me."
"Oh! Right, makes sense, since you helped him when he was cooking." The alien laughed. "Alight, go ahead and get a start on the dishes then."
Jim nodded, rolled up his sleeves and slipped on an apron, and got to work.
The rest of the day was non-stop, but hardly unpleasant. Dogbreath, as it turns out, was a chatterbox and seemed very happy to have someone in the galley that he could talk to. After the initial awkward silence had worn off, the alien started going into stories about the crew, the adventures they had been on, and of course Silver. While Jim didn't feel too much up to talking, he was happy to listen to the stories, taking in the information like a kid hearing his favorite book be read aloud. Jims eagerness to hear the stories seemed to delight Dogbreath even more.
"And THAT was how we got away from the royal navy using their own warship!" Dogbreath laughed heartily at the end of the tale as he started serving up bowls for lunch. "Ah, that was the last big fight we had before the Captain lost his leg and what not, but mind you it didn't slow him down one tick!"
"I can see that." Jim chuckled as he carried the bowls to the tables to prepare for lunch break. He stopped and thought for a moment before turning to the pirate. Never hurts to ask, I guess. "Uh, hey Dogbreath...how did he lose the leg anyway?"
The alien stopped and sighed, looking around the room awkwardly for a moment before shaking his head.
"Sorry Jim, not my place to say. Maybe the Captain will tell you if you ask, you're his boy afterall."
Jim sighed and nodded as he took more bowls from Dogbreath, giving a small smile. It had been what he had expected, but even Silver had given a vague answer before. Then again, he was still lying about being a pirate at the time, maybe now he would be willing to talk.
Jim jumped slightly at the sound of Silver's voice coming from the pipe near Dogbreath, one used to communicate with other parts of the ship.
"Dogbreath, is the food ready?"
"Aye aye Captain." Dogbreath responded. "Serving it up now."
"Send Jim up with our food." Silver ordered, causing Jim to smile for a bit. "I'm takin him back for lunch."
"Understood, he will be right up!" Dogbreath nodded and motioned to Jim. "Get that apron off and clean yourself up while I serve the bowls."
Jim nodded and pulled off the dirty apron and made his way to the sink to wash his hands and arms. Once clean he took the bowls from Dogbreath and made his way up towards the cabin.
He knocked lightly before pushing the door open, smiling at the sight of Silver hunched over the table, reading a stack of papers. Silver's eyes turned to the door as Jim carefully kicked it shut, the Captain looking tired as he smiled.
"Hey there, Jimbo." He said softly with a sigh, moving the papers so Jim could set the bowls of food down. "How's the day goin so far?"
"Honestly, not half bad." He chuckled in return, smiling as Silver placed a hand on his back. "You look exhausted."
"Aye, allot of work to do." Silver nodded, shifting to pull the human down onto his lap, placing a gentle kiss against his lips. "But it's gotta be done."
"Well some food should help with that." Jim chuckled, returning the kiss before moving to get off of Silver's lap. The Ursid's large arms wrapped around Jim's waist and pulled him back down, turning him until he was straddling the large man's legs. Jim flushed bright red as Silver chuckled.
"And where do ye think yer goin, Lad?" Silver said through a chuckle as his fingers dipped into the back of Jim's trousers. Jim let out a small squeak of surprise and clapped a hand over his mouth, holding back a following moan as Silver's lips trailed along his neck. His body shuddered as the hands continued to roam over him, fingers prodding at his entrance as a metal palm slid up his thigh. Silver held him tight against his chest, the force of his hands causing Jims hips to press against him. Jim could feel Silver's excitement against his own body, which involuntarily rocked against the encroaching fingers as his own body began to react.
Jim kept his hand pressed against his mouth as one thick finger dipped inside his entrance, holding back the deep moan that wanted to come as a result of the dry penetration. He shuddered as the finger moved, his breathing growing shaky as he worked to regain some sense of control over his body. That work all went out the window when a sharp pain in his shoulder shocked him into a deep gasp. His hands clasped on to Silver's shirt as the pain lessened slightly, and Jim could finally register what had happened. Silver had bit him. What was more, Silver was still biting him, though much more gently as he sucked gently on the spot. Jim let out an almost pathetic whimper as John finally released the section of his shoulder, placing gentle kisses along the sore spot.
"John…" Jim muttered as the finger continued to work inside him, his body feeling almost cold. Silver chuckled as his other hand pulled him closer, trailing kisses up Jims neck.
"What is it, Lad?" Silver's voice was almost a purr. Jim whimpered and shook his head, burying his face in Silver's chest as his hands slid down the large chest and belly, before rubbing against the large bulge in Silver's shorts. John let out a growling hum, his finger pushing deeper into Jim. The human gasped softly but swallowed, working his hands now to unfasten Silver's belt.
"Careful Jim…" Silver hummed in his ear as Jim pulled out Silver's large member, his thin fingers gently starting to stroke it.
"Why?" Jim muttered, his voice cracking from his dry throat, wrapping his hands around the member to stroke it firmly. Silver's growl echoed in the room as his hand gripped Jims backside firmly, pressing his finger against that good spot inside, causing Jim to buck.
"Because I want ya." Silver growled, his voice so deep Jim could feel vibrations in his chest. The cabin boy shuddered and looked up at the Ursid, feeling his own face grow bright red.
"So take me…" The words came out weaker than Jim would have liked, but Silver's hand stopped moving, and his green eye focused down on the smaller man.
"Jim…"
"I can handle it." He interrupted, his voice sounding more solid this time. Silver's jaw clenched as he squeezed Jim even tighter.
"I don't want to hurt you lad…." His voice was soft, almost a whisper. Jim smiled and nodded, reaching up and placing his hands on Ursid's cheeks.
"I know but….I want to try, at least." His own voice was soft now. Silver frowned a bit, his eyes scanning over Jim's face as he thought. Eventually he gave out a sigh and a nod.
"Go to the bedroom, find some sort of lotion and wait for me." He said, a wry smile on his face as he rubbed the back of his neck. Jim felt his heart skip a beat but he smiled back and nodded, carefully sliding off of Silver's lap and making his way to the bedroom.
He opened the drawers and cabinets, looking for anything that might work as a lotion, his ears actively listening to the sound of Silver's approach. After finding nothing in the rest of the room, Jim finally checked the bedside table, where he found a small bottle of hand lotion. He smiled as he took the bottle, closing the drawer. Heavy footsteps approached Jim from behind, followed shortly by large arms wrapping around him in a tight, but gentle embrace. Jim smiled and looked over his shoulder at Silver, who was nuzzling into his neck.
"You sure about this Jim?" Silver asked, his hands sliding up under Jim's shirt.
"Yeah...I'm sure." Jim nodded, closing his eyes and leaning back against the large frame. John sighed against Jims neck and nodded back, grabbing onto Jims shirt.
"Arms up, Lad."
Jim smiled and obeyed, raising his arms so Silver could pull off his loose shirt. Once the cloth was removed a hand pressed against the middle of his back, pushing him forward towards the bed.
"Bend over."
Jim flushed but nodded, shifting until he was bent over, his elbows resting on the mattress, John taking the lotion from him before the large hands worked to pull down his trousers. It wasn't long before Jim was bare, bent over, and feeling very self conscious. He was completely exposed as the warm, organic hand gently slid up and down his back and buttocks.
There was a brief moment when Jim wondered what was happening behind him when there was a knock on the front door.
"Captain!" It was Turnbuckle. "We found a problem with the main engines, it needs your attention!"
"I'll be there in a moment!" Silver called back and sighed, looking down at Jim, who also sighed and sat back up, shifting to pull up his pants. The two were silent for a moment before Silver smiled and put his hand behind Jims head, pulling him into a kiss.
"Ye really want to do this Lad?" He hummed, pressing his forehead against Jims. Jim nodded and sighed, his eyes cast down. Silver let out a deep "Hm" and nodded in return, trailing his hand down the young man's side.
"Alright then, Jim…" He said with a smile. "Then I got a list of orders fer yeh."
Jim let out a soft breath and looked up at Silver, his hands still resting on the Ursid's chest.
"Yes?" He asked.
"First, eat yer lunch, and take what's left back to Dogbreath." The pirate said, his hand still resting on Jim. "After that, help him clean up. Once that's done, come back to the cabin and wait fer me."
Jim nodded, that was easy enough. He was about to say something when Silver continued.
"I don't know when I'll be back in." He said softly. "If things start winding down and the crew start gettin ready for sleep and I ain't back yet, get in bed and try t' sleep. If it aint too late after that, I might wake yeh up."
Jim sighed and nodded.
"Yes Sir…" He muttered. Silver chuckled and kissed his head.
"Alright, I got teh get goin now." He sighed and stretched his back. Jim couldn't help but notice how tired the Captain really looked. The Cabin boy nodded and gave a small smile, standing on his toes to give the alien a peck on the cheek. Silver smiled and returned the motion before turning to leave.
Jim was about to start pulling his shoes on again when Silver stopped and turned back with a smirk.
"Oh and Jim…" He said in a low tone. "No clothes allowed in bed from here on, understood?"
Jim flushed but nodded, unable to speak as the pirate chuckled and left the cabin.
Silver did not return until late that night. The engines had been damaged in the Super Nova, and had required a lot of his attention. By the time things were fixed and the crew was finally winding down, he was exhausted and in a foul mood. He could not help but over-hear his crew talking about Jim, even though they did try to be quiet in his presence. Some of the things they said made his blood boil, but there was nothing he could do, the crew was gonna gossip, no matter what. He ate his dinner in the galley with his crew, gave out a few last minute orders, and slowly made his way back up to the cabin.
John was standing at the door when his eyes roamed to the windows, the lights were still on. For a moment he couldn't tell if he was mad, annoyed, or amused; he had specifically told Jim to get to sleep if he came back late. But he shook it away, perhaps the boy just left the lights on for him, or forgot. Hoping it was one of those two, and not the lad's rebellious side acting up, he opened the door to the cabin.
It was promising so far. The room was lit, clean, and empty, there was no sign of Jim. He gave a small smile and hung up his coat. He was hanging up his hat when he heard something, the light sound of bare feet on wood. He let out a sigh and turned to see Jim standing in the doorway of the bedroom, hair messy, with a sheet wrapped around himself, wiping sleep out of his eyes.
"Did you just get back?" Jim asked through a yawn, glancing at a clock. Silver sighed and nodded.
"Yes, but what are yeh doing up?" He made his way over to the young man, his voice harsher than usual. He looked down at him with hard, tired eyes. Jim blinked up looking confused.
"I heard the door open…" He said slowly. "It woke me up…"
John sighed and nodded, placing a hand on Jim's shoulder. The boy hadn't done anything wrong.
"Alright then...let's get yeh back to bed then.." John forced a small smile and hit the light switch, leading Jim back into the bedroom. Jim walked but looked up at Silver.
"What's wrong?" Jims voice was soft as John hit the light for the bedroom as well, shrouding them in darkness, the only light now coming from the stars out the window. John just shook his head.
"Just tired, Jimbo. That's all." He said with a sigh as he sat down on the bed and started working to get his shoe off. He blinked in mild surprise when Jim, rather than getting back in bed, sat in front of Silver and started to untie the shoe himself. John raised an eyebrow. "What exactly are yeh doin, Lad?"
"Just helping." He said through a yawn as he pulled the shoe off and set it aside.
"Don't yeh worry about it Lad, get back in bed and go t' sleep." Silver grumbled, waving a hand to shoo the boy away. He wasn't used to having someone around on days like this, and with how Jim had fussed about the injury, he didn't want the Lad fussing over him now. Jim, however, got that stubborn look on his face again, the one John usually found endearing, but didn't want to deal with at that moment.
"Why won't you let me help you?" Jim asked, voice soft but harsh. John scoffed.
"Because I don't want it! Now stop back-talkin and get t' sleep." John growled, pulling his shirt off and tossing it aside. He knew what was coming, he could see it in Jim's blue eyes, and even as the young man opened his mouth to speak, he hoped beyond hope that he was wrong.
"Or what?"
Yep, he had said it, what's more he had said it in that tone that had gotten Jim into so much trouble in the past. John glanced at him, his eye shining red in the dark room.
"What did yeh say, boy?" His voice was low and soft, a deep rumble in Silver's chest, so different than the one he used in passion. Jim felt it like static in the air, he had just crossed a major line. Jim said nothing, so Silver continued. "Now I'll give yeh one, ONE, chance to correct yerself, or else you'll find out what."
He should apologize, Jim knew it. Silver was sitting still, like a snake getting ready to strike, the large form seeming to fill the room as Jim looked up at him. But despite knowing what he should do, knowing what was smart, he felt that old, ugly monster rearing it's head, the one he had thought was gone. That burning feeling to fight, that had caused so, so many problems. He opened his mouth, wanting to say sorry, to say he'll go to bed and leave him alone, but instead what came out…
"Or….What?"
