Thank you to everyone who read the first chapter of this yesterday and to Calzonafan123 and Guest for reviewing! (This is a Calzona fic, by the way. Addie's here for another reason!) Hope you enjoy this :)

Once Arizona stepped outside, she rolled her eyes as she realized it was raining- again. The moonlight shone against the raindrops as they hit the ground, sparkling almost as brightly as the stars against the inky black sky. Arizona took deep breaths, filling her lungs with the cold air in an attempt to calm herself down. Whatever had happened was her fault, not Callie's or anyone else's. She couldn't blame other people for her stupid mistakes, and she owed both Addison and her girlfriend an apology. However, she couldn't deal with that tonight so she trusted that Callie would forgive her in the morning. She reached her car, pausing to fumble in her bag for the keys, all the while getting wetter and wetter as the intensity of the rain increased and tears began to fall gently down her cheeks.

Suddenly, Arizona stiffened, sensing rather than hearing the man that was standing behind her. Slowly, she turned to face him, standing tall and holding eye contact to fake a confidence she didn't feel. She tightened her grip on the key that she'd managed to find, knowing it was her only weapon if she needed one. Although, maybe she was just being paranoid. Strange men often crept up on you in the farthest corners of car parks at night, right?

A smile crept on his face that Arizona reciprocated, becoming increasingly sure that she was just being silly. But then, just as quickly, he stuck out a hand, grabbing hers that held the key and twisting her wrist at such an impossible angle that she dropped it, terrified that he'd break her bone. She gasped in pain, and only then did he let go, but then he slapped her round the face with his other hand, leaving a bright red handprint on her cheek. Shocked, Arizona stumbled back until she hit the car, dread filling her stomach as she realized she had nowhere to go. One hand clutched her face, the other desperately trying to find her cell so she could call Callie, or anyone, to help her. Her attacker took a step closer, leisurely, as though he knew that this would only end one way. Arizona became more and more desperate, wishing she hadn't parked as far away from the hospital as possible, wishing she hadn't refused Callie's offer for a drink.

'Who was the girl in the hospital? With the dark hair?' he asked, pausing just in front of the terrified blonde.

'C-Callie?' she asked, confused.

'Callie,' he echoed, 'and who is Callie to you?'

Her brow furrowed, trying to figure out where this was headed. 'She's my girlfriend.'

The man laughed. 'Oh, so you're one of those.'

He took another step closer, bending down so his face was inches from Arizona's. She recoiled, leaning back until her head collided with the car, leaving her no room to escape. She began to panic, her breaths coming faster and shallower than normal. Her legs shook, leaving her wondering how they were still holding her up.

Without warning, the tall man grabbed both her arms, pinning them above her head with one hand and driving the other into her ribs and stomach, hard.

'You… filthy… dyke!' he spat, punctuating each word with a blow to her head.

He stopped as suddenly as he started, watching her intently. Arizona's world span, her vision clouded as she felt her legs start to give way. He caught her body with his, holding her against the car as he contemplated his next move.

'Do you know what we used to say about you people?' he whispered, running a hand along her cheekbone. 'That you were just confused, that you just needed to meet the right man. Do you know what I mean?'

His breaths hissed through his teeth, each one sending shivers down Arizona's spine as the implication of his words dawned on her. She wanted to throw up, though if it was from fear or disgust, she didn't know.

'No,' she whispered, struggling against his hold despite knowing it was futile. Summoning all her strength, she screamed as loudly as she possibly could. 'Let me go!'

She knew how pointless it was, how weak her cry had actually been, but thankfully it had the desired effect. Her attacker panicked, drawing back a fist to punch her in the face. Having predicted this outcome, Arizona ducked, causing him to smash the window of her car and set the car alarm off.

'Get off me!' she shouted again once a few heads had turned their way.

'You stupid bitch.'

Arizona forced her focus back onto the man who was holding her against the car. His hands clasped around her throat, slowly constricting and cutting off the oxygen to her brain. She was too hurt to do anything else, so when the darkness came she embraced it, slipping easily into unconsciousness while she hoped that someone would come and help her soon.
