Two Weeks Post Wedding
Damon and Bonnie entered their suit in the quiet Parisian suburb. The hotel was small and quiet on a small side street. Damon loved the city and knew Bonnie would love the pleasant mixture of history and couture. He was going to take her to the opera tonight and tomorrow they had reservations at the Moulin Rousse. Damon had gotten two prepaid phones for them to use. They ditched Bonnie phone by the time they reached the airport and once they were in Spain they let the family know Bonnie lost her phone and would be getting a replacement once they reached the states again. They couple still had several counties in Europe to visit before they would hit Canada and then find themselves in Virginia all before Bonnie could no longer see her toes over their growing baby.
"What do you think?" Bonnie asked modeling her pin stripe sundress for Damon.
"All you need is some red lipstick and a barre and I'd never guess you weren't French," he smiled as he took her in his arms and kissed her. "Are you guys' hungry there is a really great sandwich shop down the road?" Damon have been openly talking to Bonnie and the baby at the seam time the second they left Georgia. The farther they got from his family the more himself Damon seemed.
"I'd love a sandwich," Bonnie said kissing him.
Caroline lay her head on Tyler's chest and he gently caressed her hair. She'd been thinking the pass couple of days about her fight with Klaus at the wedding, and what she said to him. She wanted nothing more than to live out her life with Tyler. "Do you want to marry me?" Caroline asked.
"Aren't I supposed to ask you that?" Tyler asked as he sat up in bed.
"I'm not proposing, I just want to know. Do you see yourself marrying me?" she asked looking into his eyes.
"Yeah I do," he smiled and kissed her nose. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you." His voice became aggravated as he said, "I know Klaus will do anything to keep it from happening," his eyes lightened as he looked down at her, "but I'm going to marry you," he smiled at her.
"I'm going to ask him for a divorce," she told him.
"I'll go to the big house with you, if you want," he said as he held her hand.
"No it's something I have to do on my own. I love you," she smiled.
"Oh, do you?" he questioned as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Yes," she squeaked.
"Prove it," he said sitting her on his lap so she could straddle him.
"Oh I will," she said taking off his t-shirt, she was wearing, and kissing his neck. "I will," she moaned as she sucked on his ear lobe making him moan.
Stefan and Melissa ran through the park stepping in sync with one another, perfectly matching the other's strides. It had been a while since Stefan went out for an early morning run. Stefan ran track back in high school. Early mornings he and Melissa ran the trail behind the high school and showered at her place before school. He didn't know he could make it this far done the trail. It had been a year or two since his last run. "You think you can make it all the way back?" she asked as they reached the end of the trail.
"I think I need five," he huffed. They shared a laughed and turned to walk for a bit. "I haven't been on this trail since you guys moved," he laughed.
"I haven't run since we moved," she laughed.
"We're amazing," he smiled.
"We are," she said lacing her fingers with his. She turned to look up at him and she could see in his eyes that there was still some feeling there. He still loved her. She reached up and kissed him. She roughly pulled him into her body by his shirt and trailed her hands up to his hair. Stefan kissed her fiercely and pulled her closer. Then he flinched away from her touch as if she burnt him. "Stefan," Melissa started.
"I can't do this with you Melissa. I'm in love with Katherine. I'm sorry if I made you feel like there was still something here for me, but there's not," he tried to reassure her.
Melissa simply smiled. "I know you better than you know yourself Stef, and you wanted to kiss me. That's why it took you so long to stop. You can lie to yourself all you want, but you're still in love with me," she said playing in his hair. She kissed his cheek, "See you later," she said continuing her run up the trail with a huge smile on her face.
Stefan released a long deep growl as he kicked up dirt. He paced for a moment not believing what he just did. As much as he didn't believe it Katherine was fully capable of committing murder, and he was sure he was going to be at the top of her hit list, right under Melissa. Stefan had to find a way to fix this situation, and fast.
"Eureka," Katherine smiled to herself as she read over her print out. It was evidence of a few dirty dealings Theresa had been involved in that had connections her in Henry. All Katherine had to do was to find the right link to Giuseppe, and her happily ever after with Stefan could start. There was only the not so tiny matter of information on the man she hated more than a pimple on picture day. She paced trying to think of who else could get her into the account.
Tyler stood in the jeweler look at the two rings he narrowed his choice to. Caroline loved purple and the bright gem of the gold ring screamed Caroline, but there was something about the platinum ban of the other ring that seemed to spell happily ever after. It reminded him of something from those cheesy chick flicks Caroline loved. Tyler's phone went off just when he was going to get the clerk's opinion. "I'm a little busy at the moment."
"Yeah well that makes two of us," Katherine sneered and he could practically see the sarcastic smile on her face.
"Make this quick," Tyler said deciding to go with the purple ring and a pair of earrings to match.
"Meet me at the library on Main Street," she said.
"Why the Salvatore's have two?"
"Because spies need to use the public computer that erases any trace of their browser history once they long off," Katherine smiled at the genius in her plan.
"You know this isn't Twisted or The Pretty Little Liars or whatever else you and Rebekah watch on ABCfamily. This is real life. The kind of real life that people get put in jail for doing illegal things."
"Oh things like kidnapping?"
"Kat"-
"Ty." She said with a grin.
Tyler groaned knowing there was no way he was getting out of this situation. He was stuck, and if he didn't help Katherine she could get caught. Then Stefan would be depressed which would make Caroline depressed and none of them needed that. "Fine, but this is the last time. I'm not doing anything like this ever again."
"Did I ever tell you how fabulous you are? See you in fifteen minutes," she said and hung up.
Caroline was shocked when Klaus agreed to meet her at her favorite restarunt, but as time passed it became apparent that he was bullshitting her. Caroline was furious after two hours of sitting in the five star restaurant alone. "Just like old time," she muttered to herself as she got up and headed to her car.
She was going to give Klaus her two cents and more since he refused to answer his phone. She dialed him repeatedly and got no answer. She drove over to the big house and there was no sign of him there. She drove over to the office and no one was there, but Klaus' office light was on. She stormed over to his office hearing faint noise she paid no attention to. The only thing driving her was the intense hatred she had for him and his empty promises. She couldn't believe she thought just maybe he'd be different today. No matter how many days she hoped for it, Klaus never changed.
Caroline barged through the door to see Hayley laid out on Klaus' desk with him thrusting into her. The image of the pleasure on their faces was burned into Caroline mind. Her fury bubbled over and she slammed the door and ran to her car. She sped off wanting to be as far away from her bastard husband as possible. When Caroline reached the end of the town road and was stopped by the traffic light she allowed her tears of frustration to fall.
There was no denying that she loved Tyler, but Klaus was her husband. She married him because she believed that she was in love, and that he loved her too. She was finally realizing that everything she believed to be true about her marriage was a lie. Not only was he neglectful, and emotionally abusive, he was a lying cheat. He made her feel like shit for falling in love with Tyler when he had been sleeping with Hayley for god knows how long. "GGGGRRRRR!" Caroline said gripping the steering wheel and letting out a loud roar.
