Hello all I'm back with an update. Hey MsJanay Stefan is going to have to face the music this chapter. Babyshan211 Will get to see what Damon will do when Giuseppe's true colors start to show real soon. I hope you guys enjoy this and don't forget to review.

Jaime walked into his parent's house carrying the vacuum and hedge clippers he'd barrowed. He had been a homeowner for a little over a year and he still needed to get the essentials. He made sure to return his barrowed items to where his mother left them before she left on her cruise. Of course his father wouldn't have noticed the items missing for the past few days, but his mom was a little OCD so he made sure to mark were he go everything from with tape. Jaime walked to the laundry room to get some laundry detergent when he heard the faint melody of Have You Ever by Brandy.

Instantly, Jaime remembered how Bonnie would come home every day for three months and lock the door listening to that song all night. He remembered hearing her stifled cries she tried to drown out with the music. He remembered when he found out Bonnie had been crying because Stephanie Keller had tricked Matt into taking her to their junior prom. Then Jaime recalled only a few years ago how his father pulled out the old cassette tape and played it all night long as he looked for a clue to find Bonnie. Jaime swallowed the lump in his throat when he thought about the day he came home and that song wasn't playing. It was the worst day of his life.

Jaime entered his father's study and saw the wall tacked up with leads on Bonnie. There was a shot of someone fitting her height with a taller man. It was taken in Spain and dated a few months ago. The picture was really fuzzy and it could have been anyone really, but Jaime felt it was her. His sister was out there somewhere. "What are you doing?" Rudy asked his son.

"Is this really her?" Jaime asked.

"I don't know," he said as he put his bag on his desk.

"Have you been tracking her this whole time? Do you know what happened to her?" Jaime demanded.

"Look Jaime this is messy and I don't know anything for sure"-

-"But you think she's still out there?"

"I never stopped."

"Then that's all there is to it. We need to find her."

"Don't do this," Rudy said walking up to Jaime and placing his hand on his shoulder. "You just started your life with Lexi and you're already working on your first real case. Let me handle this," Rudy insisted.

"But I'm a cop now I can help, you don't have to do this alone."

"If Bonnie isn't out there I don't want you to have to lose her again," he said. "I just need clarity. I don't want to drag you into this with me."

"She's my baby sister. You told me it was my job to protect her. Let me do my job and you do yours. I have a friend that can work on this photo if you have a digital copy of it," he said.

Rudy smiled at his son. He never been prouder of him. "I'll email you what I got from Jenny," he said.

"Good, I'll have something in the morning."

"On one condition. Shelia and your mom can't know about this," he warned.

"My lips are sealed," Jaime said heading to the laundry room.

"What are you doing?" Rudy asked.

"It's almost empty you won't miss it," he said carrying a bottle of tide.

"Does Lexi steal from her parents too?"

"We're just saving up, it's temporary," Jaime laughed.

"You said that about the vacuum but I know you took it Tuesday," he laughed.

"Mom will never know," he said with a shrug.

"Yeah she will because I moved the tape you put down."

Bonnie and Damon arrived to a small enclosed plot of land on the Italian coast. Damon raved about this being the best place to learn the sex of their baby; as if it was the most advanced and prestigious medical compound in the world. Bonnie wryly took in her surroundings trying to find the silver lining. With every step she took the more uncertain she felt. The grounds were in ruins, the equipment had to be out dated, she thought. The second they entered the gate there was an ambulance sitting out front that looked as though it made it through World War II. And if Damon didn't get her out of this place soon there was going to be a reenactment.

"I really think we should do this when we get home," Bonnie suggested.

"We should already know the baby's sex you're six months. Knowing the baby's sex could help you in your name hunt, for Damon Jr," he smiled at her.

"I'm not naming my child after you so let it go," she said making her husband laugh. Bonnie grabbed hold of his hand lacing her fingers with his and letting him lead her into the far building that resembled a barn. "I'm not delivering cattle."

"Trust me. This is the best OB GYN in all of Europe."

"I highly doubt that," she said kicking hay as he opened the door for her.

"Damon," A tall man said with what was a Sottish drawl. Bonnie shot Damon a questioning look as he and the gentleman embraced. "That bit of acne cleared up nicely."

"Now I know you're crazy to think my porcelain skin was anything less than perfect," Damon looked at Bonnie. "Galen this is my wife Bonnie."

"Wow she's a beauty, and it looks like you have a little friend there," Galen smiled.

"Yep we do," Bonnie said rubbing her round belly.

"Well let's go take a look at the little lad or lass," he said leading the pair down the hall to a back room. Bonnie was surprised to see a hospital room very much like the one back in Henry, Kol used. "Here's a gown for you. I'll go grab the equipment and give you a bit to put it on."

Bonnie quickly dressed and soon Galen was back with the sonogram machine. Galen put the cold gel on her stomach and soon appeared a blurry image of their baby. "There's the baby's big head," Galen said moving the wound.

"Hey let's not talk about my child inheriting Bonnie's big head."

"Damon," Bonnie said with a glare.

"It was a joke," he said leaning down and kissing her forehead.

"And here we are," Galen said. "If you rather not know the sex this is where you speak up.

"Just do it," Damon urged.

"And you guys have a healthy little boy," Galen said.

"Wow what a boy we have," Damon smiled at Bonnie.

"I think you're looking at the umbilical cord," Bonnie laughed.

Damon looked again, "Oh, well that's still not bad for a fetus," he reasoned.

"He's beautiful," Bonnie smiled.

"Just like you," Damon said kissing her.

Klaus walked into the Salvatore boarding house expecting to see his wife upset, but she was looking in the mirror at her reflection. Her golden locks were in a messy bun. She was wearing a plump peep dress that was white with gold trimming that showcased her curves. She wore a pair of white and gold pumps that matched her dress and elongated her slim legs. Caroline looked over and displeasure soon appeared on her face. "What are you doing here?"

Klaus walked over to his wife, "You look beautiful," he smiled at her.

"If that's all you know the way out," she said turning to the kitchen. Klaus grabbed her arm and turned her. "Don't touch me," she yelled.

"I came to talk to you," he said.

"Talk to me about what? How you've been banging Hayley for God knows how long? Nik, you made me feel like shit for being with Tyler when you really are no better than me."

"I know what I did was unacceptable, and if you want to be hurt-fine be hurt," he said before his demeanor turned cold, "But don't act as though that ruse you had with that half-witted mutt means anything. It's just you trying to hurt me because I neglected you."

Caroline let out a snort. "You're the halfwit, you're the mistake, you're the piece of shit I regret loving, not Tyler. That will never be Tyler," she yelled at him.

Klaus walked closer to her so close that he could feel her warmth. "Love, you're only upset, because I foiled our plans. You were going to meet me to work on our marriage," Klaus said placing a gentle hand on her cheek.

"I was going there so you could sign these," she said pulling the divorce papers out of her purse. "I was done with you so long ago Nick. You just conformed how much I was over being hurt and neglected. I'm never going to feel like that again," she said shoving the manila envelope in his chest. "Sign them."

"How dare you," Klaus yelled grabbing Caroline's arm.

"Is there a problem?" Tyler said as he walked into the house with Stefan and Katherine.

"Look who's here," Klaus said turning to Tyler.

"Leave him alone Nick and just go," Caroline warned.

Klaus walked over to Tyler and looked him square in the eye. "You may think you're happy now Caroline, but he has nothing to offer you. And when you need me most, I won't be there. Just this poor excuse of a man," Klaus said as he walked pass Tyler to the door. "I need to have a word with you friend," he said to Stefan.

Klaus and Stefan stood on the porch of the boarding house. Stefan tried to keep his feelings in check, but what he walked in on was anything but okay. "What just happened between you and my sister will never happen again," Stefan sneered through his teeth at Niklaus.

"I apologize for my brashness with Caroline. Surely, you Salvatores are the panicle of purity and have never hurt anyone," Klaus said with mock sincerity. "Especially when they've hurt you."

Stefan's jaw clicked and he decided it was in everyone's best interest if Klaus was just gone. "What did you want to discuss?"

"We are going to war. There are feds looking into our affairs. In two days Mason will return with our cargo. After he arrives we are going on lock down. Nothing in and nothing out, until all the kids have a place to go," Klaus informed him. He turned to leave and paused. "And Stefan," he called over his shoulder. "I'd do well in reminding Caroline, that if something should ever go wrong I'm the only one that can protect her, Tyler," he paused. "Even you."

"Get off my porch," Stefan yelled.

"Later mate," he said whistling his way to his car.

Katherine and Stefan made dinner together. He told her about what Klaus said and Katherine made a note to tell Bonnie. Tyler and Caroline went out for dinner and Stefan decided not to ruin their night with the news. "You're being really quite," Katherine said as she took his plate to the sink.

Stefan smiled at her. "There's just a lot going on, and I haven't talked to Damon in a bit," he smiled.

Katherine tried to hide her fear so she turned back to the sink and turned it on. "You have been sulking around the house. Whatever happened to your runs with Melissa?"

Stefan's heart raced in his chest. "I-uh. We need to talk," he said.

Katherine put down the plate she was washing and turned to Stefan. "Talk about what?" she asked knowing something was very wrong, but unable to tell what.

"Sit," he said gesturing for her to have a seat. Once Katherine sat down, regret rippled through him. He didn't have the words to tell her what he had done. He knew how much Klaus hurt Caroline, and there wasn't a doubt in his mind that she was in love with Tyler. "I really don't know how to say this," he started.

"Then don't. If you don't want to say anything then just don't," Katherine said standing up.

Stefan stood. "No I have to you deserve the truth. I don't want things to get out of hand and we turn into Klaus and Caroline," he said.

"Look I love you Stefan," she said tearing up. "I couldn't bear to lose you so if you can find it in your heart to just let me believe that something like this can last forever, then just let me," she cried.

"You deserve much better than me Kat. I wouldn't blame you for leaving me," he said as he wiped a tear from her eye.

She looked up at him. "Leave you, I thought you were trying to leave me?" she questioned.

"No, no that's not what I'm doing. I-I just."-

"Just what Stefan?"

"The other day, Melissa and I kissed. I was caught off guard and I'm so sorry. I love you, I know that, and I understand if you're done with me," he said looking into her eyes.

Katherine walked out of the room and gathered her coat. Stefan ran up to her, "Please don't go."

"Oh Stefan, there is nothing you can do to keep me from kicking her ass," she said as she put her coat on. "Caroline and Bonnie were trying to convince me I was crazy, but I knew it. I could see it in her eyes that she wanted you, and that's not going to happen," she yelled.

"You're right. It's not going to happen, because I love you and only you. You don't have to fight over me, I'm always going to be yours," he smiled at her. Katherine looked at him for a moment and he was unsure of where her mind was.

Caroline and Tyler rented out a private room in Caroline's favorite restaurant in Atlanta. He had his ring, he had Giuseppe's and Stefan's blessing, and now he was going to ask the most extraordinary girl in the world to be his wife. Caroline had just finished her desert and on cue the band started to play a cover of I'll Be by Edwin McCain. Tyler reached for Caroline's hand when her eyes lit up after she recognized the melody.

"I have another surprise for you," he said pulling the jewelry box out with the necklace and earrings in it.

"You didn't have to," she smiled up at him.

"I did, because you'll need something to go with this," he said pulling out the smaller box. He got down on one knee and he could see the joy twinkle in her eyes. "Caroline Beula Salvatore will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

Caroline clapped her hand over her mouth as the words left his. "Of course I will," she cried.

Tyler stood and hugged her. "I love you so much," he said before he kissed her.

"I love you too."

Giuseppe had been calling all of his contacts in Europe to find his son. It didn't take long for it to come out that Damon was in Italy in the town Giuseppe grew up in. Giuseppe assumed Damon wanted to introduce his wife to the other Salvatores and he had been correct. He also got Damon's new number from Galen and an update on Bonnie's baby. They were going to have a health little boy in three months.

It only took four rings for Damon to pick up his call. "Hello?" his son questioned.

"Damon," he said and the line went silent. "I'm guessing you thought you had heard the last of me. Giving that you have been showing you're pregnant whore off to the family, why would you expect a call from your father," Giuseppe yelled.

"Look dad I"-

"Come home," he being as clear as possible.

"I can't do that," Damon stressed. "I can't be your foot solider anymore. I have to think about my son and what's best for him. And it's not what you have to offer me," Damon yelled.

"You don't know what you're talking about. It's that girl. You were perfectly happy before. We were happy."

"I wasn't happy. I haven't been happy since that day twenty years ago," he yelled. "If you really love me let me be the man you taught me to be and take care of my family."

"That's the thing Damon. You can't do that without me. Bonnie's dad is following you. He's closing in on you by the day, and if it wasn't for me and this family you'd be in jail right now. Before you left your wife tipped him off that she was coming home, and know he is out for blood. Your blood," he yelled.

"I'll deal with it. I don't need you to protect me or my family. I practically raised Stefan and Caroline on my own, I'm sure I can protect myself and my wife. So thanks but I got it from here," he yelled back.

"Damon I"- Giuseppe grabbed his chest. "God," he said as he collapsed on the floor.

Damon only heard a lot of rustling and coughing after that. "Father… Father. Dad! Dad!" he yelled into the phone, but there was no response.
