Bonnie watched Ian like a hawk. She knew Giuseppe wanted her gone, but she couldn't figure out why he'd let her take Ian. The boy was perfect in every way. Bonnie stroked his thick jet-black hair. Bonnie felt two arms wrap around her waist and a chin rest on her shoulder. "He's so beautiful." Bonnie whispered.
"He gets it from you," Damon said as he kissed her cheek. Bonnie turned to face him and she rubbed his cheek. Something was off with her. Damon just couldn't quite place what it was. "You need to rest."
Bonnie grinned at her husband. "But I'm not sleepy," she said. Bonnie placed a gentle kiss on his lips and rested her forehead against his.
"I think I can help with that," he said as his lips descended to her neck.
"I can't have sex with you for the next four weeks so go entertain yourself," Bonnie laughed.
"Oh, I could, but that wouldn't be any fun," he smirked.
"You're disgusting."
"I know," he said kissing her neck. "It's bedtime for you mommy," Damon ordered.
"Can we put him in the bassinet? I want him close," Bonnie said.
"Of course, babe," Damon said as he grabbed the bassinet and Bonnie picked up Ian.
"I don't remember anything else. We went to bed and she was gone when I woke up," Damon informed Rudy. "I should have known something was wrong. I knew she was really jumpy."
Rudy watched Damon place Ian in the car seat. The infant was sleeping soundly and Rudy couldn't get over how much he looked like his little girl. "We're going to find her."
The pair looked at the door after hearing a loud commotion. Soon Jaime came rushing in. He grabbed Damon by the collar and pushed into the two-way mirror. He punched him one good time in the face, "What the hell did you do to my sister," Jaime yelled as Jonas and Bill came in to pull him off Damon.
"Please leave now, James," Rudy yelled.
"Dad!" Jaime yelled in outrage.
"James Malcolm Bennett-Hopkins, if you don't get your shit together feel free to leave this room. Let him go now," Rudy yelled waking Ian.
Liz rushed in to help attend to Damon's injuries. Rudy instinctively picked up Ian to hush his cries. As Jaime's anger subsided he noted the chaos he created. "I told you not to make a scene and you make a scene," Jonas said shaking his head.
"I'm sorry," Jaime said looking at Damon. "I just saw red and I lost it," Jaime admitted.
"Bonnie once said I reminded her of you, because I lead with my heart and it made me super impulsive," Damon said, and Jaime smirked.
"Where is she?" he asked.
Every eye in the room was focused on Damon. "I'm not sure, but if it's with who I think, we have to find her quickly."
Bonnie was terrified of Kai and she was trying her hardest to remember what happened with him after he burned Kenzia's body. She needed to get out of that room. She had to get away from that lunatic. "Kat," Bonnie called.
"I've almost got it," Kat said as she continued to twist the loose end of the radiator.
"Kat if he hears us, he'll come back in here we need another plan," Bonnie said. "We also don't know where we are."
"It doesn't matter where we are. We just need to get as far away from this psycho as we can." Kat said as she pulled the bar from the radiator. "I got it Bon," I'm going to start at the wall back up," She said taking Bonnie's advice and prying the boards apart. Once the hole was big enough Bonnie helped Katherine climb through. They rushed to the window and Bonnie wrapped down the curtains. She wrapped the cloth around her hand as Katherine heat the window. Once the glass was shatter Bonnie knocked the remaining shreds out, with out thinking the girls climb on to the roof. "Oh Fuck," Katherine yelled as she slipped on a patch of snow.
Giuseppe was a lot of things, but a fool was surely not one. It had been a week since he's seen Damon, however, Caroline kept reassuring him that he and Stefan, just needed space. Caroline was very attentive to Giuseppe and his needs. She took on Damon's household responsibilities. She even helped, Elijah, transfer and delete accounts and records. Giuseppe was proud of his daughter.
"Tesora, I know I've been harsh with my demands, but everything I do it for the greater good of this family. I hope you understand how much you and your brothers mean to me. I promised your mother on her death bed that nothing would ever tear us a part. And I'll move hell or high water to keep that promise," Giuseppe said as he stood behind Caroline as she worked. He reached down and placed a gentle kiss on the crown of her head.
Caroline felt a tear run down her face. She didn't remember much about her mother, but she knew this wasn't what she imagined for them. "I understand your reason, but I for one am not a fan of your method papa. Bonnie was my best friend. I went my whole life thinking I had real friends and true connects, but I never had anyone like Bonnie in my life, and you took that from me. And Damon. She was a part of him. She was part of their son, and now you want them to go on like they're whole, when they're not. And not only did Stefan lose Katherine, but he feels like he lost Damon and you too. He thinks you and Damon hate him, for loving someone in a way he had absolutely no control over."
Caroline paused realizing she was not hysterically yelling at her father. "I want us to be whole and to fix this, but only you can do that. Only you can help your sons. Let them love freely like you let me. Love them through their mistakes like a father should." Caroline left the study and locked herself in her room. She waited until she heard the Giuseppe's car pull out of the drive way before she text Stefan.
Did you and Tyler find anything on Elijah's computer yet?
"No. We are going to check Mason's for Kai's last known place. I think it's in the mountains."
"Like Rocky Mountains."
"Like Alaskan Mountains."
"Shit."
"I know, but we'll get them. Did you hear from Damon?"
"He and the baby made it to Mystic Falls, he just got to Bonnie's dad the last I heard from him."
"Check in and let me know he's ok, and Rudy's on broad. Remember to get out of there tomorrow regardless."
"Got it bro. Be safe and tell Ty I love him."
"Gross, but ok."
"I love you too Stefan please don't get caught."
"I love you too. We'll be safe."
Tyler and Stefan walked into the Lockwood mansion to Richard's study. Tyler was able to hack the file on Kai's drop off and pick up points. Tyler searched for one that matched Stefan's guess and there it was. "I got them, it says Whittier, Alaska." Tyler said.
"How the fuck do we get there?" Stefan wondered.
"We need to get them some clothes first and grab Kol," Tyler said.
"I can't wait for this to be over," Stefan sighed.
"For what to be over?" Tyler's and Stefan's heads jerked in the direction of the voice. Tyler quickly shut down the computer and stood.
"Fuck this bullshit," Katherine yelled as she held on to the side gutter.
Bonnie grabbed her forearms and helped her back on to the roof. "We can't go out there we'll freeze to death." She said looking out at the miles of snow off into the distance.
"There is smoke coming for that way," Katherine said as she pointed out behind Bonnie.
"That has to be at least 15 miles away. We need to figure something out."
"Let's get off this stupid roof. He must have a truck or snow plow we can hotwire. We'll get to the nearest house and call the police."
"'Kay," Bonnie said. She lost all hope in that moment and Katherine could see it in her eyes.
"B, you trust me right?" Katherine asked.
"I do, but this seems to easy. We didn't go through all of that for this to be easy."
"We're going to get through this because we are fierce badass bitches," Katherine said making Bonnie laugh.
"I love you," She said wrapping her arms around Katherine.
"Hey, let's get down first. I don't like heights," Katherine said eyeing the edge.
