Chapter 2 Back home
By the time Inuyasha made it home, he was out of breath and pumped full of adrenaline. He entered his home and then called out stating that he was home. But there was no answer, so he just shrugged his shoulders then headed up to his room to relax. But before entering his room his name was called. Inuyasha turned to see his mother asking him why do you look like you just ran a marathon and where did you get that book.
He responds by saying I was running because Theo was being a creep towards me again also the bookshop keeper gave me this book since I liked it so much. Melissa says you know that Theo is quite the looker. You should give him a chance "with a wink." Then his mother says oh ok dinner should be ready soon. Then why don't you go down to the cellar and let your father know. Inuyasha nods then enters his room to put the new book on the shelf. Then got changed into some lighter clothes since the heat was on then headed down to the cellar. On his way to the cellar he took an apple from the basket for a quick snack before dinner. Then went out the backdoor to the cellar door. As he was heading to the cellar door Inuyasha felt like that he was being watched.
But then Inuyasha realized that it was Theo. He was there with his henchman Miroku when he arrived to the cellar door. Theo started to flirt with Inuyasha. Inuyasha just groaned in disgust. They heard a loud commotion coming from inside the cellar. Miroku makes a joke stating it sounds like the old coot is trying to blow himself up instead of succeeding with the invention. Inuyasha yells at Miroku and tells him don't talk about my father that way he is a genius. Theo bops Miroku on the head saying don't talk about his father that way. But as Inuyasha goes to enter the cellar he briefly heard both of them start to laugh hysterically.
Meanwhile down in the cellar Inuyasha's father was currently working on his newest invention. A invention that would do the task by chopping perfect log pieces for a fireplace. So then Rafael begins to start it up. Instead of starting up it caused a minor explosion. By the time Inuyasha made it down to the cellar he hears an minor explosion. Then without thinking Inuyasha rushes in to see what caused it. Once the smoke cleared he sees his father having yet another episode of swearing and meltdowns. Inuyasha just shakes his head in amusement, and laughed to himself because of his fathers rants and antics.
Once Inuyasha's father calmed down he finally realized that his son was there. Rafael says hey son how was your day and did anything new happen. Inuyasha responds that he got a new book. Rafael states that is awesome you sure do love reading. But enough of that how about you help me get this to work. Inuyasha was about to tell his father something but Rafael just held a hand up then said whatever it is I am sure it can wait. Rafael then lays down on the sliding board to get under the invention. Then started to put pieces back on that came off in the minor explosion. Rafael just gave his son commands Inuyasha followed them without question. Inuyasha started to hand his father tools that he asked for. Then after a little while Rafael rolls out from under the invention. Got up then said that should do it. Then Rafael started the invention up again, and before their eyes it started to work.

Hitch up Danny son I am off to the fair. But as he said that Melissa calls out to the boys telling them that dinner is ready. Both men just stare at each other. Then their bellies growled and they just laugh. Rafael then says we better get going you know how your mother gets when we are late. Inuyasha just cringes at the thought. So They both left the cellar and headed to the kitchen to see the large display of various finger foods and the main course of a big stuffed turkey. They were about to offer their help to set of the table. But Melissa just says that I got it boys. She points at them and then to the bathroom. Then they just give a confused look.
Melissa says you both are filthy and covered in dirt and grime. Both Inuyasha and Rafael look at themselves. Then nervously rub the back of their necks and chuckle. Finally realizing what she met. They both decided to use the master bathroom near the kitchen since it was closer.
