Steve was in a very bad mood. First, he gets told by Agent Hill that his long-term best friend 'Bucky Barnes' was alive, and survived the train accident, but he had also been rude to Barry, and the latter definitely made it all worse.

The whole team could tell there was something off with the man, and they all decided to keep their distance, well Nat didn't but she was just Nat, realistically she could kill them if she wanted to.

Nick Fury stood in the main room of the Avengers Tower when Steve walked in, sighing softly. Commander Hill had told him that he would be seeing Nick when they received more information. Nick held a grim smile as he looked at the Captain.

"Call a Team meeting," He instructed, "It's worse than we thought"

When Barry entered the room with Clint and Nat trailing behind him, his heart ached at the sight of Steve. Clint seemed to notice the slight pain in the man's stance as he grabbed Barry's shoulder and lightly squeezed it.

Thor and Tony entered the room moments later, both of them taking their seats opposite of where Barry and Clint were standing. Natasha had taken her seat beside Cap by the time Barry had sat down himself.

"Now, who the hell is this?" Fury exclaimed upon seeing Barry. The Scarlet Speedster sheepishly sunk into his seat, not knowing what to say.

"I'm surprised Coulson didn't fill you in," Steve began, answering for Barry, "It's a long story but he's one of us now-"

Tony cut him off, exclaiming, "He's from another FUCKING UNIVERSE!"

"Tony!" Steve scolded, "Language!"

"MOVING ON!" Nick exclaimed, stopping the argument that was bound to unfold.

"We have received intel that H.Y.D.R.A have infiltrated one of STARK Industries old warehouses," He explained, making Tony's eyes fly open, "We have also learned of when and where the drop is"

"Now, we want all of you involved in this," Steve told the team, smiling as Barry looked at him questioningly. Barry seemed to be the only person who had no idea who H.Y.D.R.A were. Nick nodded and left the room, exclaiming that Commander Hill would give them the coordinates.

Barry was busy getting changed into his suit, which had now been upgraded because of Tony's obsession with making things, and it now had the Avengers logo on the emblem instead of the Lightning Bolt. Barry didn't mind that though, it wasn't like he was a member of Team Flash anymore.

Steve walked in moments later, and Barry felt himself unconsciously tense at the sight of the older man. He kept his back to him as Steve cleared his throat.

"I came to explain H.Y.D.R.A to you," The blond started softly, taking a seat on Barry's bed. He looked at the younger man as he had yet to face him, "Barry?"

Barry looked at Steve, his face hard as he did so. Steve ignored the look though and continued with what he came to do.

"H.Y.D.R.A is the group I went up against in the Second World War" Steve informed Barry, "They were led by a man named 'Red Skull'" Barry simply nodded his head, continuing to get changed. Steve got angered by this but stayed where he was, he knew he did kind of barge in when he was getting changed.

"Anyway, they are the reason why my best friend is dead so if I'm rude about it, I don't mean it" Steve concluded, finally standing up. Barry refused to turn around.

Now that pissed Steve right off.

"Have I done something to you?" Steve yelled at Barry, making the younger man flinch. He slowly turned around, backing away from Steve.

"Have I?" Steve asked softer this time, his chest hurting when he saw Barry back away from him. He was scared of him.

"It-It doesn't matter," Barry replied just as soft, turning back around and finishing getting changed. He knew he should've gotten ready at superspeed but this was the one bit of life he liked where he didn't have to rush, and he felt as if this had remained the one normal bit of his life.

Steve tried to grab Barry's arm but the speedster had sped out of the room before he even got the chance to blink. Cap sighed softly and grabbed his shield from the floor, exiting the room.
