AN 1/2: sorry if this looks like I'm rushing, I want to get through Pilaf saga quickly.

I let out a silent yawn, as I got out of my bed, moving as quietly as possible I made my way towards the only door in the house. The light of dawn was just barely coming through the only window.

I reached for the doorknob, but before I could turn it, I heard a voice.

"Don't work yourself too hard, Kakarot," I heard the man say as I turned around to face him. Grandpa Gohan had a small self-satisfied smile on his face, clearly way to happy at winning our little game again.

Its like he had eyes in the back of his head, and I haven't been able to sneak past him once, even after all these years living together. Its embarrassing that I, someone who spent years as a skilled assassin and freedom fighter, am not be able to sneak past an old man. Even after I built us bunk beds so that we were no longer in the same bed.

"We have an important match today," Grandpa Gohan continued as he stood up, and jumped off his top bunk bed.

"What do you mean?" I asked, as my tail drooped down.

"Its time to see if you're ready to travel the world," he said with a resigned sigh, clearly not happy at the prospect of me leaving Mount Paozu.

As excited as I was to finally have a chance to leave the area, part of me still felt bad for Grandpa Gohan. He has taken care of me all these years and has probably gotten used to me living with him. If I leave, then he'll be left all alone.

"Don't worry, I'll come and visit when I can," I told him, hoping to comfort him.

If he weren't so bad with technology, I would go and get him a cell phone. Well, that's assuming there are cell phones on this Earth.

"How kind of you, but don't worry about me. Besides, I have my friends who always write me back."

I released a huff at the last part, "By the way, how did you ever make friends living out in the middle of nowhere."

"I didn't always live out here you know," he said before a light bulb seemed to appear above his head, "it might be beneficial for you to train under Master Roshi. I used to train under him, he is one of the greatest teachers on the planet and would be a great way for you to make some friends."

"Just how old is this Master Roshi?" I asked, confused on how this Master Roshi was still teaching people if he was the one who trained Grandpa Gohan. He would have to be over a hundred years old.

"Master Roshi is several hundred years old," Grandpa Gohan told me that like it was no big deal.

How could anyone be that old? Grandpa Gohan doesn't seem like the type who would associate with someone who used a magus like method to extend his life, and definitely wouldn't try and get me to go train under a dead apostle.

I gave him a question glare, hoping Grandpa Gohan would answer my unaired question.

He just smiled and shock his head, as if to say I would have to find out on my own, "So, what's for breakfast?"

I just glared at him, before letting out a huff, "I was going to go catch some fish from the nearby river."

"Ok, I'll go prepare a fire, while you do that."

I didn't respond as I turned and opened the door to leave the house. My tail wagging slightly in rhythm with my steps.

The fish around Mount Paozu were extremely large, and a single fish is large enough to feed an entire family for a week. Which means that it could feed me in my new body for about two meals at most.

Its stupid how hungry I always am. Its like my stomach has been replaced with a black hole.

My stomach started to growl, I let out a sigh. I'm to hungry to be thinking about food.

Luckily, it didn't take me long to reach the river.

"Trace On,"

Motes of light formed around my hands as my most reliable fishpole came into being.

It was a black rod made up of 99% carbon, and the reel was top of the line at the time of my death. It was a sixteen-ball-bearing, no-vibration model, with high-speed electric reeling. No fish could escape once they were hooked, and they would get hooked given the reels final technological ability. The reel can be input with data, along it to essentially cast itself out to the best possible location to catch fish, all I have to do is sit back and watch.

The only issue is that the fish of Mount Paozu were too big and heavy and would break my pole in two. But that was easy to fix through a little reinforcement magecraft, to improve the rod's durability, while increasing the electric rods ability to reel in to compensate for the massive weight of the fish.

I placed the bait I caught the night before on the fishing pole's hook. It didn't take for a fish to take the bait, and my rod did its job, pulling the fish in automatically.

I caught the fish. I detraced my fishing rod, as this fish should be enough for breakfast. Besides, it was hard to carry more than one fish at a time due to how small my body was.

With the fish pulled over my shoulder, I moved towards the nearby road. As its far easier to walk back to the house this way.

My nose twitched at an unfamiliar scent reached my nose, my tail instinctively wrapping around my waist.

I reinforced my ears to see if I can pick up any sounds, and I turned around, in the direction opposite of my home. It almost sound like car.

It didn't take long for my suspicions to be confirmed, as a small two-person car came speeding down the road. I quickly jumped out of the way of the car, as the person inside slammed on their brakes.

The car came to a stop slightly in front of where I was, the breaks on that car were impressive. A car of that make and model would have had to been modified to be able to stop that quickly in my old world.

It might be a good idea to not underestimate the technology of this world.

I shelved that thought for now as I look at the terrified face of the driver. It was a teenage girl with blue hair tied into a ponytail with a red ribbon. She was wearing a pink outfit with the word Bulma on it, she had a belt around her waist with a satchel attached. She was also wearing a neckband.

"You should really watch were you're driving, before you kill somebody," I said before making my way back towards my home, that was now in sight.

"Hey, wait kid," the blue haired girl called out to me.

"Follow me if you want to talk," I told the girl, blowing her off. The only reason I can think off for a human to be here is either because their lost or our looking for Grandpa Gohan, either way the girl will need to talk to Grandpa. And I wanted to start cooking.

I tensed as I saw the girl reach into her satchel, as I'm not sure what could be in there. She pulled a round object out, I couldn't quiet see what it was, as I can't use structural analysis on it without touching it.

The girl clicked the top of it, before looking up at the house, a smile appearing on her face as she pressed down on the gas of her car. Her car accelerating quickly towards the house, and I moved to keep up with her.

I looked down at my own legs. I couldn't understand how I was moving so fast. In my past life, I never was able to keep up with cars, without using reinforcement magecraft at its maximum.

We reached the house in less than a minute. While the girl got out of her car, I felt her eyes linger on, analyzing. A self-serving smirk formed on her face.

"By the way, my name is Kakarot," I told her, trying to distract her from whatever evil thoughts were filling her head.

"Kakarot? What kind of name is that?" the girl said tauntingly, and with an air of arrogance.

"And what's your name?"

"I'm Bulma," Bulma said as she turned away to close her car door.

"As in Bloomers?" I more said then asked, as a smirk formed on my face, "and you go around making fun of people with a name like that."

"I didn't pick my name!" She yelled at me, "at least I'm not a vegetable."

"By the way, do you have 'Bulma' written on your shirt to make sure you don't forget your own name?" I asked her with mock innocence, choosing to stay on the attack, rather than defend myself.

"Shut up you twerp. On top of being one of the most beautiful people in the world, I'm also one of the smartest people alive. I would never forget my own name," she said that as a tick mark formed on her forehead.

I consciously cocked my head to the side, "you're beautiful?"

Honestly, Saber, Ciel, and even that magus girl, that I went to high school with, looked better her. Ciel pulled of blue hair better.

My thoughts were interrupted as a felt a painless banging on my head.

"What was that for grandpa?"

I turned around to look at him, just to be left shocked.

He had switched into a black suit, with gold cufflinks. A fake smile on his face, "Sorry for Kakarot here, he doesn't have much experience with others."

I could tell he was annoyed for some reason despite that smile. The real question though, is why is he wearing a suit?

"Now, Kakarot, could you go and make some food for our beautiful guest here."

"Such manners," Bulma said with a blush, "your grandson could stand to learn a thing or two from you."

Beautiful? Is he trying to hit on Bulma? And was Bulma that easy to please with complements?

I glanced at Bulma as I moved to prepare the fish for a meal.

A smirk formed on my face as I covertly traced a knife to cut apart the fish. This is the first time in awhile that I'll be able to cook for someone other than Gohan.

My tail uncurled itself from my waist as I thought about her reaction.

"So, what are you doing all the way out here? It wouldn't be to visit me would it?"

"Oh, that's right," Bulma said as she pulled out the device from earlier, "I'm looking for these things called the dragon balls, and my radar says there's one in this area, in fact, I think it's in your house."

Bulma said that as she looked up from her radar. Before placing it back in her bag and pulling out two orange balls with stars in them. One had two stars, and the other had five stars.

"Have you seen anything like this?"

Grandpa's eyes lit up, "Yeah, just give me a moment, darling, while I go find it."

Grandpa Gohan ran into the house; I could hear him rummaging desperately throughout the house.

While he did that, I got up from my cooking and moved to ask Bulma a question, "Bulma, what do these dragon balls do?"

Bulma looked up at me, "When all 7 are gathered, a dragon is summoned, Shenlong the eternal dragon. He'll grant any single wish."

My eyes widened at what she said. If what she said was true, then the danger of these dragons can't be understated, "and what do you plan on wishing for?"

Bulma's face contorted into a smile, "Tee hee hee, at first I wanted a lifetime supply of strawberries. But now I think I'm gonna go for a super-cute boyfriend!"

I almost fell over. Is she really willing to waste the ability to get any wish granted, just to find a boyfriend?

"You really are a child, aren't you?"

Bulma's face turned red, "Shut up! I don't want to hear that from someone half my age!"

"I'm actually 12," I said smugly. Bulma looked shocked at that, probably due to my small height.

"Whatever, its not like you could come up with a better wish."

Of course, I couldn't come up with a better wish. Not because there aren't things I want, like new cooking utensils, or a world were everyone smiles. But instead, because those things will only be worth getting if I made them with my own two hands.

All of this is assuming of course that these dragon balls actually work. Which I highly doubt given my last experience with a wish granting device.

Grandpa Gohan came out after saying that.

"Found it!" the old man came out with a stupid grin on his face.

In his hand was a four-star dragonball, "I had this hidden at the bottom of my hidden stash."

Hidden stash? I blinked, wondering what else grandpa had hidden.

"Oh, thanks. Now gimme the 4-star ball, please?" Bulma asked while moving towards the four-star ball.

Grandpa Gohan pulled back the dragon balls, "Don't you think I deserve a reWard."

Grandpa Gohan's voice broke as I threw the knife, I had in my hand at him.

The knife knocked the dragonball out of his hand, and I quickly move to grab it, reinforcing my legs so that I moved as fast as possible.

"Grandpa, Bulma said these dragonballs can grant any wish, we can't just give it to her, what if someone with evil intentions still them from her," a tick mark formed on my forehead, "AND, you shouldn't be trying to get 'rewards' from a kid."

I looked back at Bulma. She looked really annoyed, "If you're so worried about the dragonballs, then why don't you come along. You can help me make my wish."

I looked over Bulma. Going with her would allow me to help her see how foolish it is to try and wish her desires into being. While at the same time, I can make sure the dragonballs don't fall into the wrong hands.

Looking down at the ball in my hand, I used structural grasp on the four-star dragonball. It would be best to know if there is anything special about these balls.

An incomplete blueprint appeared in my mind, the dragonball seemingly rejecting my attempts to analyze it. The blueprint was like a painting that was missing all its color and had all its sketch lines blurred.

The only time I've ever seen something like this was with divine constructs. In other words, this dragonball was a divine construct, or something similar in nature.

This gives more credence to the idea that the dragonballs have wish granting abilities, as divine constructs can do things far beyond mortal creation. Still though, there is probably a limit to the power of the dragon balls, nothing is all mighty.

"That sounds like a great idea, especially since we were just discussing the possibility of him leave earlier this morning," Grandpa Gohan said before letting out a laugh, brushing of the fact that I threw a knife at him.

"But, what about you?" I asked him, worried about leaving him so suddenly.

"I lived alone out here before you came along, I can do so afterwards," he said before quickly moving in close to me, he started to whisper in my ear, "when you're done finding these dragon balls, make sure to come check in on me, with Bulma of course. And preferable with some of his friends."

I resisted the urge to hit the lecher, as I looked to Bulma, a smug smile on my face, "I would be happy to come along with you."

Bulma had a smug look on her face for some reason, "Sure, kid, welcome aboard."

It almost seemed like she wanted me to come with. Strange.

"Sure, but I need to finish cooking breakfast first. Also, do you still want to spar?" I asked Gohan, referencing the test he talked about earlier.

"No, its fine. It was just a formality anyway," he said quickly.

He probably doesn't want to get beat up in front of a girl. Perverted Coward.

I turned away, leaving the conversation there, as I moved to continue cooking breakfast.

I ignored Bulma, who made an insult about my cooking skills. Something about how good could someone from the sticks be at cooking. I'll make her eat those words.

I finished cooking breakfast and served it to Bulma and Grandpa Gohan. Grandpa Gohan ate it with the same joyful expression as all ways, while Bulma looked absolutely delighted. I don't think that she'll be making anymore insults towards my cooking.

After that, I said a quick farewell to Grandpa Gohan, before me and Bulma left in her car.

We traveled till sundown, where Bulma decided to call it quits. She used something called a capsule to pull out an entire house. It was truly technology beyond anything of my world.

When I tried to get her to explain it to me, she just shrugged and said I wouldn't understand it.

After getting inside, I quickly asked Bulma if there was a bath.

My heart leapt in joy when she said yes, it has been years since I've gotten to talk a real bath. I quickly moved to take a bath; the hot water felt great on my body. I didn't take to much time to take a bath though, as I decided to hurry up so Bulma could take a bath.

While Bulma was taking a bath, I got to work on dinner. Enjoying the pleasures of modern appliances once again.

"Hey, Kid, what're you cooking," Bulma asked as she walked out from the tube, fully dressed.

"Rice with some sides," I said succinctly, preferring to focus on my cooking.

Bulma just nodded before sitting down at the dinner table, that was in the middle of the house. She grabbed a drink she had left there before hand and took a sip.

Meanwhile, I was preparing dinner with both my hands, so I used my tail to open the nearby fridge.

It really is useful to have an extra appendage. Even if it was a little troublesome to get used to.

After grabbing what I need, with my tail, I brought my tail around and grabbed the next ingredient with my hand.

"Ek!" I heard Bulma exclaim, causing me to look up at her. Her eyes were wide with shock, a confused expression on her face.

"What's wrong, have you never seen a good meal before?" I asked with a jesting smile.

"Kakarot, how are you moving that tail?" she asked, almost sounding like she didn't want to.

"Its apart of me, just like your arms or legs," I said while waving her off with my tail, knowing full well that she wouldn't take well to that.

After all, humans don't have tails.

"You mean its not fake," she stuttered about while saying that.

"Of course not, you can come pull on it if you don't believe me."

Bulma looked hesitant at first, as if she didn't want to find out if I was telling the truth or not, but her curiosity won out in the end.

She quickly got up and tried to pull my tail off.

"You know though, it's hard-to-find stores that sell clothing with tail holes included. And it still makes me slightly sleepy when people grab it, despite how much training I've gone through to negate that," I said that like it was no big deal, shaking my head back and forth, as Bulma finished trying to pull my tail off.

"EEEE-YAAAAAA!" Bulma scream after a moment.

"You're going to make me go deaf if you keep scream like that," I told her that as I finished our dinner, "now let's eat."

Bulma just nodded blankly, moving quietly back to the dinner table, while I sat out the food.

"y-you really h-have a tail?" she asked as I finished setting out the food.

"As I've already told you, I do."

Bulma's only response was to grab some rice and start eating it. Her sense of reason reasserted itself as she immersed herself in my cooking.

"So, it was just you and your grandfather, right? What happened to your parents?" She asked, trying to change the subject.

I finished chewing the food in my mouth before responding, "Grandpa Gohan took me in after I ended up in the area. My parents are most likely dead."

Bulma almost choked on her food when I said that, "How can you say that so nonchalantly!"

I just shrugged at her, "You asked, so I answered. Besides, I was too young to form any real bonds with them. Though, that's not to say I don't respect them, I do, but its hard to mourn for those you barely know."

I meant every word that I said. I only had one interaction with my birth family in this life, and that was when they were sending me off world; all my other memories of them are scattered bits from while I was in that pod thing. There was simply no time to form any relationship on the level of the one I had with Kiritsugu, or my original birth parents.

Still though, I feel like I owe it enough to them to count them among my parents. It was because of them that I'm alive right now, its only fair to accept their will and not forget them. Even if I can tell they weren't good people by the amount of blood I smelt from them.

"Well, I'm sorry to hear that," Bulma responded with a level of seriousness. Maybe she doesn't act like a selfish brat all the time?

Though, she didn't offer to let me use the dragon balls to bring back my parent, so I guess it even's out.

After the talk about my parents, me and Bulma mostly ate in silence. I then cleaned up the dinner table. Bulma, meanwhile, decided to go to sleep.

Her capsule home only had one bed, so I had to sleep on the ground, but it was fine. I've slept in far worse conditions. The desert sands of the middle east are about as comfortable as you think.

It didn't take long to go to sleep.

I got around 7 or 8 hours sleep that night. When I woke up though, I found Bulma was still asleep.

Deciding to be productive with my time, I decided to meditate until she woke up. Or at least that was the plan, until she slept past dawn.

We needed to get going, so I decided to wake her up. I didn't want to deal with her scream, so I got creative in waking her up.

Firstly, I turned on the heater in the house and set it as high as it would go. Then I used reinforcement on her blanks.

Reinforcement magecraft works by improving the concept of something. So, food becomes more nutritious, or a person becomes stronger. For her blankets, not only did it make them more durable, but it also increased their ability to hold in heat.

It didn't take long for her to wake up, drenched in sweat. When she did, I quickly used some of the low level spirtron hacking I know to turn of the heater. That way she wouldn't realize I had turned it on to wake her up.

She then proceeded to ask me why it was so hot, to which I played dumb. She didn't seem to believe me, but at least she was awake.

She then (slowly) got ready for the day, while I made breakfast. We then ate quickly and left the house to turn it into its capsule for.

But before we could, we heard a voice call out to us.

"Pardon me, but if I might bother you for a bucket of salt water and a spot of seaweed, please."

I turned around, looking up see who was asking for such a strange combination of things. But I didn't see anything, then I looked down, only to see a sea turtle.

"Bulma, is that sea turtle talking to us?" I honestly asked, confused by how it was possible for a sea turtle to talk. Is it some sort of phantasmal species of turtle? I don't sense any magic on it.

"Yeah," she responded like it was no big deal.

So, are talking sea turtles common on this earth? If this world is so strange, then why is a kid with a tail so shocking to Bulma? And most importantly, does this mean any recipe using turtle, requires me to committed homicide?

Bulma decided to be generous and give the turtle what it asked for. I approved, it is the job of a hero to help all people, and this turtle is a person.

"Ahh… Thank you so much," the turtle said that with a satisfied smile on his face, "I should explain you see I'm a turtle. Or more precisely a sea turtle. I was gathering mushrooms and then took a wrong turn and ended up lost. I've spent the last year trying to get back to see."

"But you're going in the wrong direction."

"Not that it matters, we'll helped you get back to the sea," I said with a smile, happy to finally have an opportunity to help someone.

Bulma quickly looked down at me and start to yell, "Like hell we will, kid. I've got to go back to school in 30 days, and I can't be wasting that time on turtles."

I decided to try and use this moment to teach Bulma the value of helping people. That's why I decided not to mention that one of the dragonballs is in the direction of the sea, or at least it was according to her maps and the positions of the dragonballs, shown on the radar.

"Bulma, helping one in need is always the right thing to do. And is in of itself, its own reward."

"Oh, who knew someone so young could be so wise. The master could learn a thing or two from you."

"Alright, Buddha, listen here. It's not our responsibility to help this turtle, we've got our own quest!" Bulma continued to scream. She might actually destroy my ear drums.

I smirked though in response, "Ok, then. If you don't want to go, then stay here alone with the dinosaurs," I then proceeded to easily lift the turtle on my back. My tail wrapped around my waist so that it didn't get in the way.

"You wouldn't dare leave me," Bulma said as I started to walk, a smirk on my face, "fine, do whatever you want! But don't ever knock on my door again!"

I kept walking slowly, with my sayian body's strength, and reinforcement, I could have run far faster. But then I wouldn't get to see or hear the moment Bulma remembers that I still have the four-star dragon ball.

It didn't even take 10 minutes for her to break and come riding after us on a motorcycle, "Hey, wait up you guys!"

The smirk that never left my face, grew even wider, "Oh, I guess you finally took my words to heart. Or maybe you were to scare to go off on your own?"

"As if, all I care about is the dragon ball you got, idiot."

I just rolled my eyes and started running. Bulma followed behind.

It didn't tale us long to reach the sea.

"See, Bulma, was that so bad?" I asked while looking at the ocean, the turtle right beside me. I was enjoying the wind in my hair, the cool ocean breeze feeling great after the long run it took to get here.

"Shut up, Kakarot."

The sea turtle turned and looked at me, it was basically eye level with me due to my short stature, "How can I ever thank?! Really, I say, such generosity must not go unrewarded."

"It's fine. I don't need any reward for helping you, your smile is more than enough," I responded, satisfied with having help someone in need.

The turtle just looked at me shocked, it was an expression I was used to. People did it all the time in my last life, as they were unable to understand why I would help those in need and not ask for any reward.

It seems that I'll have to deal with that issue in this life to, and what comes after people get over their shock.

Fear, hatred, paranoia. But I'm not afraid to die the same way again, if its in the pursuit of my ideals.

The turtle's face didn't turn to fear or suspicion though, instead he looked even happier, "No, someone like you truly deserves a reward. Just wait right here for a little bit, I'll be right back with a lovely reward."

I blinked at the turtle's reaction, surprised by how positive it was. I didn't sense any lies, or hostility in the turtle's words either.

While I was thinking about that, Bulma was more concerned about what kind of reward a turtle would thing is lovely.

She didn't have to think long, as the turtle was back within the hour.

With the added caveat of an old man riding on top of his shell. My reinforced eyesight allowed me to see the main with ease, and more important gave me the ability to identify the dragon ball around his neck.

I guess good deeds do payoff.

"Aloha," the old man said as he reached land. I slightly tensed at the old man's appearance. My instincts were telling me that this guy was not to be underestimated. He's probably even stronger than Grandpa Gohan. It might take everything I got to beat him, if he is as skilled as I think he is.

"Just what we need an old man," Bulma said, not realizing the power said old man had.

"Howdy, young'uns!" the old man said as he got off Turtle, "So, you help my friend here?"

The question was directed at me, but I decided to brush it off, the answer was obvious anyway. What was more important was finding out who this old man is, "Who are you?"

He got a serious expression, "I am the Turtle Hermit!"

Turtle Hermit? I obviously haven't heard that name before, due to having lived alone with grandpa Gohan in the woods for the last decade or so. So, I turned to Bulma, hoping she might have heard of him, but she looked just as lost as me.

"They both helped you?" The Turtle Hermit asked the sea turtle next to him.

"Only the lad, I'm afraid."

The Turtle Hermit looked directly at me, "Well m'Boy, we owe you one! An' I'm paying up with a mighty nice reward."

I shook my head, "No, thank you. As I told the turtle, I don't need a reward for doing the right thing."

The Turtle Hermits eyes seemed to gleam for a moment after I said that. It felt like he was appraising me.

"Well, you're getting a reward weather you want it or not," the old man said before turning, "Come to me immortal phoenix."

I tensed even more. This man can call on a phoenix at will, that goes beyond anyone I ever met. Hell, just seeing a phoenix alone was considered on the level of true magic in my past world.

"Was that immortal or invisible?" Bulma asked after nothing appeared for a moment.

"Sir... remember the tainted bird seed…"

"Gaaa, that's right! We lost the poor feller," my mind shut down when I heard that.

This man killed a phoenix with bad bird seed. If any other magus from my old Earth was standing here right now, then they would probably be trying to kill this man. Even the part of me that is a magus wants to beat this old man over the head.

"I know, this is even better," the Turtle Hermit said after talking to himself for a moment, "come to me Flying Nimbus!"

A cloud came flying out of the sky. I should be surprised by this, but after the talking sea turtle and the phoenix, nothing this man can do will surprise me.

"This is the Flying Nimbus, how about we see if you can ride it."

"See if I can ride it? Does it have some sort of restriction in place, stopping certain people from riding it?" I asked.

Bulma meanwhile seemed to be questioning the logic of a turtle guy having a magic cloud.

"Yes, this cloud's got standards, only those pure of heart can ride on it," the only man said before jumping, "here watch this!"

He fell straight through it, hurting his hip. Bulma was laughing about that, while Turtle was shocked by the Turtle Hermit's failure to ride the cloud.

I looked at him, "I'm sorry, but I don't thing I'm pure of heart."

I can't believe that a cloud would view me as pure of heart after having killed so many. The only way I could ride it is if it got my heart of steal mixed up for a heart of pure good.

"Just try it, being pure of heart doesn't mean you have to be perfect."

Listening to the old man's words and looking at the cloud. I have nothing to lose, but a lot to gain. Being able to travel in the air at will would be a huge help in saving people.

Placing my hand on its soft yellow side, I quickly pulled bent my knees and jumped in the area, preparing myself to fall threw.

But as my feet touched the cloud, I felt myself sink in slightly, but not fall threw. The cloud viewed me as worthy.

Looking at the cloud beneath my feet, I felt a slight bit of joy at the fact that It acknowledged me as pure of heart. In a way, it felt like a validation of my path in pursuit of being a hero of justice.

My tail standing straight up, while a small smile form on my face, different from the smug smirks I give when messing with those around me.

"oh, wow," Turtle said in excitement, "I knew you were really kind, but to be pure of heart."

"I didn't thing this cloud would accept me as pure of heart, and I still don't think it should," I said honestly, "but maybe it accepts me because I don't doubt myself, and only do what I think is right."

"Well, whatever the case m'boy, the cloud is now yours."

After he said that, I focused on the cloud, feeling a connection between me and it, "Go, Flying Nimbus."

I called out to it, and it moved forward. The cloud seemed to read my mind as I thought about where I wanted it to go. When I thought left, it turned left; when I wanted it to go right, it went right. It felt like an extension of myself.

I flew back to the others, while also changing to a sitting position.

"Thank you, Turtle Hermit," I said while bowing, even in normal situations its best to be polite, and that goes double when dealing with powerful people.

"You're welcome, boy, you seem like a good fit for the cloud anyway."

Bulma interrupt, a huge smile on her face, like a girl getting ready to open her Christmas gifts, "Hey old timer, hey! Gimme one too!

The turtle hermit asked Turtle if Bulma helped him, and Turtle responded no.

"Well, I only had one magic cloud, but there is something else I can give you," the old man said as he scratched behind his head, his face then blushed, "if you let me see your undies!"

My eyes immediately sharped as he said that. I let out a slightly annoyed, slightly murderous aura, "Is this whole world full of perverted old men?"

I asked the question coldly. I truly hate those that sexually assault other, or view others only as things to get of too.

"Kakarot," I turned and looked at Bulma after she shouted my name, "calm down. I'm fine if its only my undies."

She said that with a smirk, and slightly blushed cheeks.

Am I the only sane one in this world? As the only adult here, its up to me to stop this.

I quickly flew Flying Nimbus in the direction of Bulma, to get in the middle of them, but I was too slow.

"Look fast," she said as she raised her dress. I looked away, not wanting to see her underwear, but I heard a nosebleed coming from the Turtle Pervert's direction.

I heard Bulma laugh, "Okay?! C'mon! You owe me now, right?!"

Bulma then seemed to finally notice the dragon ball hanging around the guys neck, "Hey! Hey! Lemme See the ball around your neck."

The Turtle Hermit pulled the dragon ball off his neck, "Pretty, ain't it? Found it on the ocean floor a century ago and put it on a necklace."

Of course, this guy was around a hundred years ago. I'm going to need to see if Grandpa Gohan knows anything about this guy once I done with this dragon ball quest.

"So, Bulma, you finally noticed the dragon ball around his neck," I stated dryly, flying slightly above her, on my cloud.

Bulma looked like the happy wind was knocked right out of her, as she looked up at me, "You knew about this, Kakarot?!"

She was angry again. Meanwhile, I thought I saw a moment of recognition in the Turtle Hermits eyes when Bulma said my name.

Why was that?

"Of course, I did, Bulma, you need to learn to be more perceptive, he was wearing it clear as day. Besides, I figure we would find a dragon ball if we helped Turtle out."

"Really, how could you know we would encounter a dragon ball!"

"Because the world rewards those who do good deeds," I said that smugly, or more like a parent talking down to a child. Not that I believe that of course, not after being killed for doing good. But its still a good principle to live by, even if it isn't true.

Bulma looked like she wanted to shout at me, but in the end, excitement at finding the three-star dragon ball won out.

She turned towards the hermit and started to thank him, "Getting this out of the ocean would've been such a pain. Thank you, so much old timer!"

"You're welcome," the turtle hermit said before making his way back to the ocean, "feel free to visit again some time!"

The man said that while looking at Bulma with a blush on his face.

"Master…," the turtle said with a tired ashamed look in its eyes.

Bulma and I waved goodbye to the two before return to our journey to find the other three dragon balls.

Me and Bulma followed the dragon radar to the next dragon ball. And we ended up finding a town completely devoid of life.

Or at least that's what it looked like.

"Bulma, the people here are hiding," I said as I old memories flash threw my mind. The feeling of this town reminds me of the cities in any one of the war-torn nations I've been to, just before the fighting starts. Though there is strangely little property damage.

"You're nuts, why would an entire town be hiding?"

"I don't know, but stay close, just in case."

Bulma nodded at my words, clearly seeing how serious I was.

Using my senses, I determined a home with people in it. My sense of smell making it easy to determine the number of people in each home.

I skipped over several homes that had what appeared to be children or elderly in them, until I found a home with just adults in it.

"Bulma, this house has an adult in it, no elderly or children."

"So?"

"It means this person is more likely to answer the door," I said that as I rang the doorbell.

"What the hell, kid! You act like we are in a life-or-death situation, and your solution is to ring a doorbell?"

I just wavered her away with my hand, "Mister, I know you can hear me. I'm not sure why everyone's hidden in their homes, but rest assured I have nothing to do with it. If you're willing to come out, then I might be able to help you."

I tried to sound as sympathetic as possible, while also screaming to make sure the guy inside heard me.

After a moment, I heard the door being unlocked, which was fallowed by the door being opened.

"Wait, are you not Oolong?" the main asked me.

I looked back at Bulma, hoping she knew who Oolong was, but she didn't know.

Soon after, the man called out his fellow villagers, it seemed that they were hiding from that Oolong.

Bulma decided to ask them who that Oolong was.

One of the villagers responded, "He is a horrible demon who haunts our land, a vile shape-shifter whose true form no one has ever seen! Yesterday he came to our village and demanded my daughter by today at noon. But she isn't the first one he's wanted, he's kidnapped other village girls to do who-knows-what with them, and he's threatened to kill and eat every villager if any of us try to flee or resist him."

More memories flashed through my head, helping children in need, only to see them kill themselves as suicide bombers. Those who used them laughing from their penthouses.

Those memories still elicit anger from me. And similar anger I'm feeling towards this Oolong.

While I was thinking about that, Bulma got to work trying to shake down the village for information on the dragonballs. Discovering that an old lady had one, the six-star dragonball.

"Ma'am if you'll give me that ball, I'll take care of this Oolong for you," Bulma said with a smirk, though I feel like I'm the one who's going to be doing most of the work.

"Well, it's a lovely offer of course, but do you think it's a job for a schoolgirl?"

"Ohhh, No. I'm not gonna fight him. I'm going to leave it to Kakarot!" She said while pointing to me.

So, she is just going to leave all the work to me. Well, I'm fine with that, someone has to save those girls.

The main whose daughter was chosen by Oolong decided to speak up, "But even if you defeat Oolong, how will we find and free the other girls?"

I decided to speak up, "I'll knock him out, then tie him up and question him. He'll talk."

"How can you be so sure of that?"

"I have my methods," I said while shrugging my shoulders. Unlimited Blade Works records the history of any weapon I see. That includes plenty of weapons used in torture that I encountered when I was mercenary.

Besides, I have my most dangerous torture tool, a feather. After ten or twentity minuties of pure laughter, anyone would crack.

Also, I have a couple mystic codes that compel people to tell the truth, though I don't know if they'll work on demons.

The villagers still didn't look convinced, not that I blame them. To them, I'm some strange kid that came out of nowhere, I've done nothing to earn their trust. They aren't like Bulma, who's seen my strength.

I guess I'll have to prove it to them, "Hey, mister, can you help me for a moment?"

The man blinked at me, before nodding. I just walked over and lifted him up with one hand, the hardest part was balancing him, but I managed that after a couple seconds.

"Listen, I'm more than strong enough to deal with this Oolong. You guys just make sure to stay indoors," I said that with out letting any emotion show on my face, as if dealing with Oolong was just another boring task for me. Then I dropped the guy I was holding on his feet and called the Flying Nimbus.

I preceded to lie down on top of it.

"What are you doing?" Bulma asked me.

"I'm resting till Oolong gets here."

"Ok, Kakarot, just try not to kill him."

"Don't worry, I don't even think this will be a fight," I admitted.

"What do you mean?"

"It's just instinct and experience. I'm even willing to bet that even someone as weak as you could beat Oolong."

Bulma had a small tick mark appear on her forehead when I called her weak. She was angry again.

Bulma was about to yell at me again, so I flew the Flying Nimbus a couple dozen feet in the air. I could still hear her.

I lied down on the Flying Nimbus till noon when I saw a red 'devil' approach. It was wearing a black tuxedo, with a red tie. It had two horns sprouting from its head and pointed ears. It was also massive in size; his height was at least twice that of the nearby buildings.

I did one quick survey of the village, to make sure everyone was in doors. Once I was sure that everyone was in doors, I asked the flying Nimbus to descend.

I let out a sigh as I descended, even if I knew it wasn't like, some part of me hoped to get something out of this fight. But it looks like this fight will be even more one sided than I thought.

"What?!" Oolong asked/shouted as he saw me, clearly not noticed me beforehand.

"Hello, my name is Kakarot. You must be Oolong," I said while looking down at him with my black eyes. Purposely using magecraft to make them glow slightly.

He seemed to shiver when he looked into my eyes. He must not be used to looking into the eyes of someone who's willing to kill.

"Y- yes, I'm Oolong," the fool stuttered out. It seems he can tell how strong I was.

"You know that I've got you figure out, right?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" He said while sweat dripped off his forehead.

"You're pathetically weak, and the town could beat you if they worked together. There're just too scared to try."

"Wha- how?"

"I've been through enough battles, to learn how to identify who's weak and who's strong. Though, I started to suspect something with how little property damage there was, it was almost if the villagers never tried to fight back and just took your power at face value. But, if you were so powerful, and wanted the daughters of this village, you would just have taken them all in one go. Yet, you didn't, and the most likely reason you didn't is that you would be killed by the town working together."

"ah well," in an instant, Oolong tried to transform into a rocket and escape, but I used reinforcement to boost my speed and grab him by the head in an instant. I then proceeded to drive him into the ground, knocking him out cold, and revealing his true form.

It was that of a pig, in a suit. He had a hat with a red hat on its head.

"Trace off," I said closing my magic circuits.

Bulma walked out of the house she was hiding out in, and incredulous look on his face, "This is the terrible Oolong?"

"Yeah," I responded while poking the pig, "we just need to question him once he wakes up."

The rest of the villagers came out and looked shocked that the demon was just a pig.

The pig woke up after ten minutes.

The old lady with the dragon ball was the first to speak, "those Girls'd better be alive and well."

"Oh, there're very well."

"Take us to them now!" Bulma commanded him.

"Fine," Oolong responded, clearly not happy.

"By the way, if you try to run then I'll crush your legs," I told him, making him understand how serious I am.

Oolong shook under my stare. He didn't try to escape while leading us to the girls.

He was keeping the girls in a large temple like building, that he apparently paid for with money he extorted.

Yet again, this world caused my mind to shut down. I didn't know what I expected, while Oolong was leading us to the girls, but it wasn't this.

The girls had apparently been bullying him for stuff, ranging from fine wine, comfortable recliners, and even workout tapes. Oolong even started to beg us to take them back, unable to handle them anymore.

The parents gladly took their kids back, but they'll definitely have to unspoil them.

Afterwards, me and Bulma debate on what we should do with the pig. We couldn't let the villagers deal with him, since Oolong could just shapeshift out of any prison cell. I wanted to turn him into bacon, or, at the very least, cripple him. That way he can't commit any other crimes.

Bulma wants us to take him with us since his shapeshifting could be useful. Bulma won in the end, since I was interested in how his shapeshifting worked. It seemed to be some form of magic, but it feels slightly different. It might belong to some thaumaturgical foundation that I never encountered in my old world, or its mystery might have died.

So, Oolong joined a party, with a warning that I'll beat him if he tries to run.

With Oolong in our party, we made our way towards Fire Mountain, where the dragon radar says the next dragon ball is.

We made our way over water, until the boat ran out of fuel, we then had to petal toward to shore.

I also caught Bulma's capsules, though I didn't tell her that. I'm going to tell her I have it, after she suffers a bit. It'll teach her to pay more attention to her supplies. Plus, it's funny.

I was sitting on the Nimbus, while the other two had to walk. Leaving them very exhausted. Especially once we reached a desert.

"What's wrong, you guys? Come on, we should be able make another mile or two by sunset," I asked with a smile, from on top of my cloud.

"I'm a city girl, not some beast boy like you, that gets to ride on a cloud!" she gasped at me, "I never knew there was so much desert."

"I can't take it anymore," Bulma and Oolong proceeded to full on their butts.

"Not another step today!"

I smirk at them, while keeping my hands in my cloud, hidden from their sight.

I projected a simple flask, and some water. I then brought it out into sight and started drinking it.

"You, you have water?"

"We're about to die of dehydration, and your hording supplies, you jerk."

A smile appeared on my face, "you could have just asked for some."

"Listen to me, you brat! Give me some water!"

Reaching into my cloud, I pretended to trace two more flasks and threw them to my companions.

They both started to drink them, as if they hadn't had anything to drink.

"You should go sit in the shade," I suggested.

If looks could kill, then I would be dead.

My body tensed, though, as I felt someone watching me.

I turned in the direction I felt the gaze from.

"Hey, I'll be right back," I told them as I flew away.

It didn't take me long to reach the source of the gaze. I hid outside the structure the person was living in.

I listened to the occupants talking.

One was named Yamcha and the other was Pu'ar.

It sounds like they were bandits.

I called down to Yamcha after he jumped on the ground.

"So, you're planning to rob us?"

Yamcha jumped back at my sudden appearance, switching to a combat stance, "That's right, I'm the king hyena, in a land of scavengers. My name is Yamcha. Now, I don't usually prey on babies, but if you want to leave this desert alive, then you'll give me all your valuables."

Yamcha is powerful, not as strong as that Turtle Hermit, or Grandpa Gohan, but he's still stronger than average humans.

I jumped off the Flying Nimbus, to stand eye-to-eye with him, "And if I don't?"

"Then I'll help you see heaven," the man said as he pulled out his blade.

I instantly copied the blade, a quick summary of its history flashing through my mind, giving me a better picture of who this Yamcha truly is.

It seems that he used this blade since the day he became a bandit, because of his parents' death. Despite that, he hasn't used it on anyone. It seems that he relies more on martial arts then swordplay.

I can also tell that he has led those he's robbed out of the desert. He seems to be a good person, with a lot of potential, who was forced to thievery to survive. He's someone who can be saved.

Luckily, I know exactly how to save him, while also stopping Bulma from making her stupid wish.

"Well, I wouldn't want that," I responded to his threat, while grabbing the bag I have around my waist.

The bag had the four-star dragon ball in it, and Bulma's capsules, but Yamcha doesn't know that."

"Here, let me empty the bag," I said, placing my hand inside the bag and traced some gold. Which I then threw at the pair, I repeated that action several times.

The pair grew more and more confused as I threw gold at them. With the gold thrown far more than what could be held in the bag.

"Wha- what's with that bag?" the small blue one asked.

"This is a magic bag that holds limitless gold," I lied, hoping that something that ridiculous would fit into this strange world.

Yamcha took a moment to process what I said, before a grin formed on his face. He clearly bought my fake story.

At the same time, I subtly called the Flying Nimbus to my position.

"Hand over the entire bag, kid."

I pretended to be confused, "If you want a bag like this, my companions have more. Just follow me."

I then quickly moved on top of the Flying Nimbus and moved towards my companions.

The sword's history showed me one other thing about Yamcha, his greatest weakness. Woman.

Yamcha quickly followed me, probably thinking that I was trying to run.

His attention was so focused on me, that he missed Bulma, but she didn't miss him.

She suddenly smiled at the sight of him, blushing. She clearly thought he was cute.

"Bulma, that's Yamcha," I told Bulma as I stopped in the airspace above her.

Yamcha, who was following close behind me, finally noticed Bulma when I called out to her.

He then frozen in place, his face blushing.

"Ow, maybe this desert isn't so bad after all, hey Yamcha," Bulma called out to him, causing him to blush even more before fleeing in the other direction.

Bulma just looked confused, one hand still in the air, "why he'd go?"

"He probably left something on the stove," I said, "anyway, I think you've learned your lesson."

A smirked as I pulled Bulma's capsules out of my bag.

Yamcha will follow us in pursuit of the 'bag of infinite gold', giving me plenty of chances to force him to interact with Bulma. If everything goes according to plan, then Bulma will find her boyfriend in Yamcha, and Yamcha will get off his fear of women. He'll also probably forced to live an honest live by Bulma.

"Kakarot, are those?" one of my two traveling companions asked me.

"Oh, yeah, Bulma dropped her capsules when we were on the boat, but I caught them," I said that while shrugging my shoulders, "I thought it would teach you to pay more attention to your things if you had to suffer the consequences for a while."

"You bastard!" Bulma screamed before hitting me on the head as hard as she could, "Teach me a Lesson, huh! The only lesson you'll be teaching, once I'm done with you, is how to be a punching bag!"

Bulma then preceded to punch me again and again.

"It was for your own good!"

"Tell that to my hair!"

It took awhile for Bulma and Oolong to vent their frustrations, but we set off once they finished.

It didn't take us long to reach fire mountain. Though, I noticed Yamcha following us several times, I never got the chance to force an encounter between him a Bulma.

Fire Mountain itself lived up to its name. Its flames could be felt from miles away. I wonder what the flames are burning for fuel.

Oolong said the mountain is ruled by a man called the emperor of demons, or the Ox-King. Apparently, all those who have tried to rob his castle have ended up dead. Though, it sounds like he doesn't control the fire around his castle.

Based on my experiences in this world so far, he's either going to be a pervert, a goof ball, or misunderstood.

The fire was even hotter once we reached the town around the castle. Which was in ruins, there were even a couple burnt skeletons.

"Yo, Kakarot, do you think that you can fly up and get the dragon ball?"

I shook my head, looking at the castle, "Its to hot, I would be burned alive."

Looking at the fire, I was trying to think of any noble phantasm or mystic code capable of putting out the fire, without destroying the castle itself. Then there was the issue of weather or not these flames are magical, because they could be far harder to put out if there magical in nature.

"Don't be such a wuss!"

"Then why don't you try?"

"Because I can't ride that stupid cloud of yours," she barked out at me.

"Then why don't we ask the Ox-King, if there are any ways to put out the fire."

"Are you crazy! Didn't you hear anything I said about him! He'll skin us and use us as a new hat before he would help us!"

I ignored the pigs oinking, and direction my attention to the giant person standing behind him and Bulma.

The man was wearing a ridiculous outfit, that included a helmet with horns on it. The way he walked, along with his size, leads me to concluded that he's more of a brawler that relies on raw strength than speed.

He noticed my gaze, taking it as a cue to speak, and causing my companions to jump in response, "What're yew doin here on mah land?"

It seems this guy doesn't have much of an education, or just isn't that smart.

"Aimin' to swipe my treasure Aren'cha? Well?! Isn't it?"

I quickly spoke up, hoping to avoid conflict, "No, were searching for a rare object, and were hoping to trade with the lord of the castle for it."

I looked at his axe and saw that he had killed any intruders that tried to trespass on his land. I need to be prepared to fight him just in case, but there was one important thing about the axe that I could use to end this peacefully.

The weapon was given to the Ox-King by the Turtle Hermit, as a gift for the birth of his daughter. The Turtle Hermit didn't seem like someone who would like a gift being used to kill.

"Though, it is surprising to see that the lord of the castle, is a student of the Turtle Hermit."

The Ox-King jumped up when I said that, "Howed, ya know that?"

"I've met the turtle hermit before, in fact he gave me, my Flying Nimbus," I responded as I called for the cloud.

The Ox-king jumped when he saw it, "My invincible old master! That cloud is proof yew new him. Tell me, boy where he lives?!"

"Yes," I lied, but I could probably find him quickly if I start at the beach and use the Flying Nimbus to cover a lot of ground.

"Woo-hoo! Yeah! I'll be able to get back in my castle!"

I noticed the fact that it sounds like he need the Hermit to get back to his castle, I could use that.

"Ox-king, if we bring the Turtle Hermit here, will you let us take the single treasure we need from your castle?"

"I ain't need my OL' lord directly, what I need is a fan, the Basho-sen, he has, to put out that big mountain fire. But if youz bring it to me, then I'll let you have yizz have your treasure."

I nodded, but he stopped me before I could fly off, "Whoa! Wait a sec! Yesterday, I sent my daughter Chi-Chi, out lookin' for the old master. If you run into her, how 'bout takin' her along?"

He said that while pulling out a photo. I looked at it, "Sure."

It wasn't even a question for me.

I proceeded to fly off on the Nimbus.

It didn't take me long to encounter the girl from the picture Chi-Chi. She was lying unconscious on the ground.

She was wearing a highly revealing outfit that no girl her age should be wearing.

I flew down to her and checked her pulse, to find that she was alright. She didn't appear to have any serious injuries and was just unconscious.

"Hey, Hey, its time to wake up," I said kindly, as I shook her slightly.

A smile form on my face as she started to wake up, she started to blush for some reason when she finally looked at me.

"Are you running a fever, Chi-Chi?" I asked her as I placed my hand on her forehead.

It was at this point she jumped away from me with rosy cheeks, "How do you know my name?"

"Your father asked me to help you find the Turtle Hermit," I said that while trying to calm her down.

She then turned away and started to mutter some stuff, that I chose to ignore, at least she calmed down.

I jumped back on the flying nimbus, "Come on, Chi-Chi, we have to go find the Turtle Hermit."

I reached out with my left hand to help her up. A kid like her should be pure of heart enough to ride this cloud.

She grabbed my hand while looking away for some reason. And she held on to me very tightly on the way to the Turtle Hermits home.

It didn't take us long to find the Turtle Hermits home.

The Turtle Hermit was sweeping. His home was a small building on an island, with the words Kame house, on it. There were three palm trees too.

I waved at the turtle hermit, "It's been a short time."

"I guess it has, how's the Flying Nimbus holding up?"

"Good, its very useful," I admitted as I jumped down.

"So, what brings you here? And h-hey, lad, the girl with you, hasn't she shrunk a little. The last time she was a lot more," he made some motions with his hands, "y'know what I mean?"

I took a deep breath at the Turtle Hermits actions. At least he isn't hitting on Chi-Chi.

Chi-Chi, meanwhile, look horrified at his actions.

"No, this isn't Bulma, this is the Ox-King's daughter Chi-Chi. And she's fine just the way she is," I added in the last part to try and make her feel better after the Turtle Hermits horrible words.

She seemed to smile after I said that but then whispered something to me, "You're not telling me that old creep is really the Turtle Hermit!"

"Unfortunately, he is," I sighed, before grabbing Chi-Chi's hand.

I could tell she was about to throw that axe on the top of her head at The Turtle Hermit, so I grabbed her hands to prevent that from happening.

It wouldn't help us in this situation. She seemed to calm down easily enough though.

"Anyway, Kakarot, what brought you here?"

"The Ox-King needs something you have called the Basho-sen, to put out the fire around his mountain."

"We just need to borrow it," Chi-Chi shouted breaking free of my grip.

"I do have it, and I shall lend it to you," The Turtle Hermit said after walking away for a moment, "but I have one condition. … Come over here."

He pointed at me when he said the last part, I don't have a good feeling about this.

I did as he asked and he told me what the condition was, "I'll lend you the Basho-sen, if you let me, just once touch those boingy, boingy, on that other girl."

I blinked at what he said, my opinion of him having reached the underworld. I'm not letting him do that.

"Before I agree to that, let me see the Basho-sen."

If I can take a look at it, I can trace it with. Then I won't have to fulfill this man's request.

"Oh, fine," he said as he ran inside, the sound of searching growing increasingly frantic, "Hey, Turtle, do you know where I put the Basho-sen?"

"If I'm not mistaken you were using it as a potholder, sir."

This man seriously used a magical object, that was probably on the level of a noble phantasm, as a potholder.

"Oh, that was the magic fan?! Fooey! I spilled some wonton soup on it, and it was so stained I threw it away!"

I just took a breath, "Turtle Hermit, can I take a look at your memories, just so I know what it looks like?"

Even if I don't know how to alter people's memories, or how to really use hypnotism, I did learn the basics of viewing others memories. I did it so that I could copy the weapons other people had seen in the past.

"And how would you do that?"

"I know a little bit of magecraft," I said.

The Turtle Hermit looked surprised at that, "Well I don't know much about magecraft, but I do know somethings about magic. Fine."

The old man grumbled that, unhappy that he doesn't get to touch Bulma.

I feel dirty just thinking about that.

I quickly moved without hesitation, so that the pervert doesn't have time to try and force us to let him touch Bulma in exchange for his memories.

"Just think about the fan," I told him, as I placed my hand on the back of his head.

"Trace on: partial view," I whispered as the blushing-green pattern spread from my hand to the back of his head. The spell taking affect.

I saw the fan, in an instant. It seems he is really good at focusing on things when he wants too.

I quickly ended the spell, worried about what affect his memories could have on me.

"Thanks," I said as I quickly jumped on the flying nimbus.

"What, are we really just going to leave," Chi-Chi complained. Her hands pulled up to her face.

"The fan isn't here, we need to go find it," I said, "unless you want to stay on this island with the pervert."

"Pervert!?" the man seemed to complain at being called that.

"No, way," Chi-Chi suddenly jumped on the Flying Nimbus, "that guy's creepy."

"You're right," I agreed with Chi-Chi, before waving goodbye to the Turtle Hermit and set of on our way.

Chi-Chi realized we were heading back to fire mountain once it got into view, "Hey, we can't go back home now! Not without the fan! Hey, what's with that smile?"

I was smirk at her, "Don't tell anyone, but I have the power to copy any weapon I see, including the Basho-sen."

"But you didn'-" Chi-Chi realized the truth quickly, "you copied it when you looked at his memories."

"That's correct," I responded my smirk growing more vicious as I projected the fan, "there was no way I was going to meet that old man's perverted request."

Chi-Chi got excited at first, before I suddenly felt immense anger from her, to the point I wonder why she didn't fall of the cloud then and there.

She then punched me in the head hard. Unlike with Bulma, where she's to weak to hurt me, or Grandpa Gohan, who was holding back so he didn't actually hurt me, Chi-Chi's punch actually hurt.

"What was-"

Before I could finish, she punched me again, "You should have told me before hand."

"I didn't-"

She punched me again, her cheeks were puffed in anger, "I don't want you're excuses."

"I'm sorry," I said, knowing from experience that was the only way to stop her from hitting me again.

I felt her anger dissipate slightly.

I truly feel bad for anyone who marries her.

"Ow," what was that for, I ask after Chi-Chi hit me on the head again.

"I don't know, but I felt like you were making fun of me."

This girl's instincts are scary.

I decided to clear my mind and finish the trip in absolute silence.

Luckily, the trip didn't last that much longer, as we reached the mountain only ten minutes after her final punch.

"We got it," I told the group as I waved the fan in the air.

The Ox-King started to dance in joy, while the rest of my companions looked excited.

I jumped of the cloud, and then helped Chi-Chi get off to.

"Would you like me to put out the flames, or would you like to do it?"

"Ha, leave it to me!" the man said with a grin, as he took the projected fan from me.

"What'd the fan cost you, Kakarot?"

"Nothing," I responded truthfully.

The Ox-King took the fan and swung it. It didn't blow out Fire Mountain, but instead summoned a giant thunderstorm.

Chi-Chi grabbed onto me as the winds start to rage. The winds were powerful enough to blow us all away.

I called for the others to enter one of the ruined houses nearby, as the cars could get blown away in the wind.

While all of us were moving into the houses, the Ox-king was just standing in the rain, laughing. I guess he wasn't worried about being blow away due to his large size.

The rain stopped after about an hour, and Fire Mountain was extinguished, leaving only the castle and its treasures.

"Yeaaa!" Chi-Chi cheered at her home no longer burning.

"I gotta say it's gonna be a lot of cooler around here," the Ox-King said with a jovial air.

"You should be more mindful of bad karma in the future," I told the man, hoping that he realizes how greedy he was.

I could tell from his axe, that he spilt blood for his wealth. Those who live a life a bloodshed though, don't often live long enough to see its rewards.

Though, that doesn't mean one can't find satisfaction on a blood-stained path.

"Yeah, I have been blinded by greed! I've got enough to last a lifetime; I don't need anymore."

Bulma decided to speak up at this point, "Well, were going to go find the dragon ball."

She forced Oolong to come with her. Chi-Chi decided to partner up with me to help me look for it. While everyone was looking for the dragon ball, I discreetly released the fan. I would rather such a powerful mystic code not stay in the hands of the Ox-King.

It took us an hour or two, but we managed to find it.

Afterwards, me, Bulma, and Oolong, left the Ox-King's castle. He invited us to visit any time.

Though, I didn't really understand what Chi-Chi whispered to her father about liking my smile.

Maybe I miss heard her?

AN- Hello, I hope your having a great day.

Firstly, I messed up in my last AN and got some of the dragon ball lore wrong. I thought magic was just another application of Ki, so I thought I could just make it simply that magecraft=ki. Turns out that is wrong, and Magic is completely different from Ki, but has never be explained despite being in the series longer than Ki. I'll talk about this in more detail later on in the AN, but needless to say magic =/= Ki.

Sorry if it feels like I'm rushing over certain parts of the story. Its just that I want to get through the Pilaf saga as quickly as possible (I don't want to write it to the point I don't even want to edit it), so that I can get to the parts of the story that'll actually change.

And what I mean by that is the Pilaf saga is very joke, with Goku just messing up everyone who gets in their way. (except when he's hungry) So, Shirou!Kakarot (Who I'll be referring to as Kakarot from now on), being stronger than Goku due to magecraft and Grandpa Gohan's training, doesn't fact in at all, unlike how it will in the next arc.

Also, Kakarot would end most of these little adventures in a similar way to canon, those his motive and means would be different. He would go with Bulma because he wants to get her to give up on her wish, due to his experience with the holy grail. He would help Turtle because of his hero complex.

The Flying Nimbus was one thing I was going to change until I discovered that Zamasu, and Goku Black have pure hearts in Dragon Ball fusions. And that this is mostly likely due to them viewing their actions as justified, and in the pursuit of justice. Thus, a hero of justice who doesn't doubt their path should also be pure of heart. And I also considered it through the angle of Heart of steel=not feeling=empty=pure. Though, that logic might not have been as sound.

Kakarot would knock out Oolong instantly, see through his tricks thanks to his magical knowledge. I considered having Kakarot kill him, but then realized Bulma wouldn't let him, and Kakarot would be interesting in this world's magic. Yamcha meanwhile, would be meet by sympathy from Kakarot, who had scene what happens to orphan's who couldn't take care of themselves, and would have seen lots of people like him in his past life. That, mixed with his desire to save people, would mix with his desire to stop Bulma, causing the situation to become a mirror of what happened in canon, despite different motives.

Meanwhile, the whole fire mountain part was the only part that I felt like I wasn't being confined to canon. Though, I'm thinking of having Chi-Chi follow the canon pairing, in a way. Kakarot doesn't think about her as cute or anything, because he isn't a creep who's into kids, even when in a child body. I was thinking of having them develop a relationship over the course of the first part of the fic, meaning the part covering dragon ball. Also, Chi-Chi would have more character than nagging housewife like in canon, with the two of them coming together to save the world, as two people against the world.

Next up, how will being a Sayian affect Kakarot. Right now, I'm considering having the changes be minimal, in terms of personality, but he will start to enjoy fights that are for justice/helping others in the same way canon Goku likes fighting tough opponents (Also, gets hungry a lot). Also, he'll have higher talent in physical combat/martial arts and will have all the physical characteristics of a normal sayian (He looks like Goku, ages like Goku, etc.). In terms of his magecraft, there will be two major differences. The first being that his magic circuits will be able to improve in terms of quality, but not quantity, due to the fact sayian are always improving and growing stronger. The second change will be that if Kakarot ever reaches Super Sayian God, then he'll be able to trace divine constructs when in that state, and only when in that state.

As for how magecraft will interact with dragon ball as a whole, I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking of building the magic systems in DB as best I can, using fate details as much as possible (as that's what several of y'all suggested), but I'm not sure on that.

Another thing I haven't decided on yet is weather or not to have reinforcement be a multiplier, or a percent increase. So, like if Kakarot reinforcing himself with a power level of 100, if it would become like 200, or 120. And I'm also not sure on how much. I was considering having it being as high as 10Xs or 1000% and at that point Kakarot's eye go green, basically showing the maximum he can increase himself is his great ape power. Or possible, make the power of the great ape, something he learns to control on his own threw magecraft, and let Kakarot improve reinforcement to improve his power further.

Also, I'm not sure on how to balance some of the Noble Phantasm. Right now, I've decided that Kakarot will have to reinforce them with Ki, in the same way future trunks reinforces his swords, to slash his opponents, but I don't know what to do about their affects. Like Excalibur Galatine, do I considered it's heat equal to the sun? And if so, would Ki be able to block it, or would it burn everyone. As that is what happened with Nuova Shenron, who's was as hot as the sun and could even burn SSJ4 Goku. Right now, I'm considering have the effects be limited to beings with Kakarot power level/magic level, but things like illusion noble phantasms will work on people far stronger than him, unless they have the training to see through illusions. Feel free to share your those on this (or anything really)

In terms of Canon, this fic will follow a mixture of manga/anime/gt/super canon. With the Manga taking precedence over the other canon's, the anime to expand on some things or to take some cool concepts from (like kakarot learning all the details about the Sayians, watching the fall of planet Vegeta, and getting info on Frieza though the Pendulum Room). I'm thinking of using the worlds from GT to help expand the galaxy, and I currently plan to use one of GT villains (also might use SSJ4, not sure), Super will be the main path this fic follows in terms of after Z (though the story will be completely different at that point). Though, I will be ignoring some of the stupider lore bits introduced, like the 28 planets with mortals' line (Which doesn't even make sense in canon since Moro destroyed hundreds of worlds and said that life had expanded since the last time, he was free).

One thing that should be clarified from my last AN, is that like the dragon ball Z part of Dragon ball is going to be completely different. But the dragon ball parts are going to be different too, its just that they'll be hugely different with their timeframe. So (spoilers head), for example, Demon King Piccolo won't be freed by the Pilaf gang, but instead by Doctor Gero. Demon King Piccolo and his goons will be defeated by Kakarot, due to being stronger than canon Goku, and only narrowly escape (By critically wounding Grandpa Gohan, forcing Kakarot to kill so his soul can go to the afterlife). They then would end up relying on Dr. Gero to improve them so they can beat Kakarot. Leading to a Demon King Piccolo arc that is still a Demon King Piccolo arc just vastly different. (FYI, will find Demon King Piccolo due to differences in the Red ribbon army arc.)

If there's anything else you curious about, feel free to ask :)

Edit- fix an error, if y'all see anymore please tell me.

Have a great day, and until next time.
