David kept thinking about President Keane. There was no chance for the relationship to be reignited and David Wellington knew this. The thoughts of the new President kept popping into his head. He found himself sipping on a bottle of beer and eating a pizza by himself and Keane in his head once more.

Elizabeth Keane was working. Drinking wine and working. However she was only working if you counted staring at documents without any of it going in her head as work. She was thinking about the same person who had been in her head for the past 6 months. If she wasn't such a bitch towards she could have.

David Wellington.

He'd been on her mind for months. Every time he'd speak to her she just wanted to kiss him. Shut him up. Every time he called her Elizabeth instead of Madam President, she just wanted to kiss him. She just wanted to kiss him. To tell him how she felt. To prove to him that she was sorry and the only man that she wanted was him. "Madam President, I'm sorry to bother you." One of her secretary's said as they knocked on the white House office door.

"It's okay. What's wrong?" Elizabeth asked.

"David Wellington is on the phone." She said and Elizabeth told her to put him on.

"David... What's wrong?" She said softly.

"I need to see you." He said and Elizabeth just sighed. "Please. I just need to talk to you."

"Fine. Come over." Keane said and David said he would. "I'm going to the residence. Meet me there." Keane said and David said he would.

David came over and Elizabeth opened the door to him "Thank you Ma'am." David opened the door.

"You don't have to call me Ma'am here David... You are the one person around here who makes me feel normal." Elizabeth confessed and David smiled. They walked through the residence together and Elizabeth smiled and couldn't help but imagine David coming home to here too and them spending time together.

What she did not know is that David was feeling the exact same.

"Do you mind if I eat?" Elizabeth smiled and David smiled and told her to go for it. She looked in the fridge and saw a box of chocolate truffles she was given as a gift. "Share these with me." She said and David smiled.

"I'd love to M... Elizabeth." He said and she chuckled softly. She pulled open the bag of truffles inside the box and he took one before feeding it too her. She laughed before taking the truffle from him. She did the same to him and they ended up eating them like that against the kitchen counter. "Reminds me of the old times." David said quietly and Elizabeth smiled at him and agreed. "These chocolates are seriously good."

"The joys of being the president I suppose... You get the good food." Elizabeth smirked and David laughed at her comments.

"I can think of other benefits." David said quietly and Elizabeth looked at him.

"Like?" Elizabeth questioned and looked away from her for a second and placed a truffle into his mouth. He looked back to her for a second before continuing to speak.

"Working for you has been some of the best moments of my life, Elizabeth." David said and Elizabeth found her way to David's hand. Their fingers ran over each others and their eyes met. "I've missed this." He confessed and Elizabeth turned to him. "There's a bit of chocolate on your face." David whispered.

"Usually you would just wipe it off when we are alone." Elizabeth commented and David looked away for a second. He looked back and Elizabeth turned to him.

"Can I?" David asked and she smiled he wiped it and she caught his hand.

"Keep it there a second." Elizabeth said before leaning into his touch "I've missed us too, David." She said and David moved towards her. They met in the middle.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" David asked and Elizabeth smiled.

"I've wanted to do this since the day I let you go." She confessed and he pressed his lips to hers. She felt his fingers move over her shoulders and down her arms. She sat herself on the counter and wrapped her legs around her chief of staff and felt him harden against her stomach "David..." she said full of desire as he kissed her neck. David kept kissing her neck and unbuttoned her blouse "wait." She said and he stopped.

"You okay?" David asked and she looked at him.

"Are you sure we should do this?... I don't want this to be something you are doing to get information out of me." Elizabeth said. She regretted her words instantly as David moved back from her.

"I'd never do that to you... I couldn't. I wouldn't do anything like that. Especially when it came to us." David said and Elizabeth felt she could trust him. She pulled him back to her and David pulled back before looking at her "let's get you somewhere more comfortable" he said holding his hand out. She took his hand moved off the counter. When David said this he meant to the sofa however Elizabeth just took him straight to her bedroom "are you sure?" David asked and she smiled.

"I want to be able to wake up next to you tomorrow morning." She said and David kissed her.

The next morning President Keane woke up in the arms of her chief of staff David Wellington and looked to see him awake "so... You didn't sneak away then." The president smiled and David chuckled and kissed her head.

"No. I follow the presidents orders and if the president wants to wake up in my arms the next morning that is what she will get." David said softly and she turned to face him "I was enjoying that." He muttered and she smiled.

"Do... I still get to wake up in your arms when I'm not president?" President Keane asked him and he smiled. "I'm hoping this won't just be a one time thing, you see." She said and David ran his hand over her face she tried to look away from him as the embarrassment settled in "I shouldn't have said that..." She said quietly as she was about to attempt to bury her head into David's chest he stopped her.

"Don't be embarrassed, Elizabeth." David said and she finally met his eyes "I'd love to never move from this having you lay next to me. So to answer question. I'd be honoured to have you with me when you aren't president." David said and she smiled. "Sadly I will have to go eventually... I need to change and you need to run the country." David said and Elizabeth then burried her head into his chest.

"How the hell am I supposed to keep my hands from you now we are doing this?" She said after a while.

"I'm sure we can handle it. For the record I have been trying not to kiss you for a long time." David said and Elizabeth told him she felt the exact same.
