Percival stared down at the diagnostic parchment the healer just handed him. He had been feeling a little sluggish lately and had at one point even fainted. Aside from scaring a few years off of his husband's lifespan, Percival was basically forced into his healer's arms with explicit orders to find out what was wrong and to fix it.
"Percival."
Percival's mahogany gaze jerked up to concern cobalt blues. His husband only ever used his full name in intense moments of fear, anger or happiness. Percival grinned so wide that he thought his face would split. Unable to speak around the emotional lump suddenly in his throat, he passed his husband the parchment.
"We're going to have to expand a set of rooms within the next seven months," Percival finally stated, his grin changing into a smirk.
"A baby…"
Percival actually laughed. It was a difficult feat in making his husband speechless and Alexi Russo was entirely awestruck.
"We're going to have a baby," Alexi voiced huskily, wrapping his arms around Percival and capturing the raven in a passionate kiss that left them both panting and aroused.
Only the sound of the healer clearing their throat in amused embarrassment had them pull away.
"You will need to take it easy for now on until the baby is born. No more field work. No heavy lifting. No stressful situations. No—."
"I get it, Healer Walsh. Don't move until the baby is born," Percival joked, but he was more nervous than annoyed about his new restrictions.
Male pregnancies were a fragile thing and he refused to let anything, even his pride cause harm to his and Alexi's baby.

Gellert glanced around the spacious apartment, taking in everything about the wizard he was now impersonating. The rooms would be immaculate if not for the small personal touches. The study was packed full of large tomes in various languages. The parlor had a fire burning and the scent of minty chamomile filled the air with a calming aroma. The dining table had a bowl of fruit in the center with more citrus than anything. Gripping his wand, Gellert moved down the hall towards the sound of running water.
Steam filled the ensuite bathroom and Gellert withheld an impressed whistle at the large claw foot tub and glass shower. If not for the steam, the figure within the shower would be more visible. Raising his wand, Gellert reached out to slide open the shower door with the killing curse on his lips. The Dark Wizard froze, his eyes widening at the naked sight before him. Muscles bunched beneath sun-kissed skin and honey blonde locks were dark from the water. Gellert's eyes trailed downward, unconsciously following the beads of water trailing down the man's delicious back.
"Stop letting out the heat, Perc," The blonde's voice carried a hint of an Italian accent and caused a pool of warmth to flood Gellert's abdomen.
Tilting his head, a single cobalt orb met Gellert's stolen mocha gaze and the Dark Wizard was hit with a wave a pure lust. It was a rare occurrence; one Gellert was seriously contemplating acting upon. Toned arms lowered and Gellert's mouth went dry as the handsome blonde turned around to face him.
"Are you still worried?" The blonde asked, reaching out and caressing Gellert's cheek.
The love and adoration in that single action had Gellert closing his eyes and leaning into the touch. How long has it been since someone touched him so lovingly? How long has it been since he has allowed it? A firm mouth slanted over his as the blonde's other arm wrapped around Gellert's waist, pulling his stolen form close. Gellert's eyes shot open, his mocha orbs widening as the blonde's hand moved and started rubbing soothing circles along Gellert's lower abdomen almost possessively.
"You know that you don't have to give up everything just because you're pregnant, Perc. I'm sure President Picquery will understand if you retire from field duty until after our child is born," The blonde whispered along Gellert's lips, across his jaw and to his ear where he gently nipped.
'Percival Graves is pregnant?' Gellert asked himself, inwardly stunned at the information.
Male pregnancies were not as common as they used to be. It took for both partners to be magically powerful enough and truly in love with one another for a baby to be conceived. Gellert was honestly surprised for the first time in a long while. He was also questioning why the blonde in front of him allowed the pregnant wizard out of his sight. Gellert suddenly wished he knew this wizard's name. He had not thought Percival Graves was involved with another person…had not thought to do an extensive background check on the Director of Magical Security. Gellert could have cursed himself at that moment for his carelessness. He froze as he once again became aware of his current situation and the blonde leaned back with concerned eyes scanning Gellert's shocked expression.
"Percival, what's wrong?" The blonde asked, practically demanding to know what was bothering Gellert with his piercing gaze.
Cobalt blues widened as Gellert pressed the tip of his wand to the other wizard's chest.
"Know that I am truly regretful about this," Gellert whispered, before letting his spell hit the blonde without anymore warning.
Gellert exhaled shakily, unsure of why the action of cursing the now unconscious man bothered him so much. It was in that moment that he thought of memories long past, memories he shared with another. A throbbing pain hit Gellert's chest and he frowned. Flicking his wand at the man currently laying beneath the still running water, Gellert spelled the blonde onto the bed. Casting a drying and clothing charm, Gellert left the unconscious form alone in order to step back out of the bedroom and towards the parlor. Walking into the comfortably warm parlor where the fireplace crackled with glowing warmth, Gellert's stolen mocha orbs locked onto frightened mahogany. He crossed the short distance between the frozen figure settled on one of the settees and cupped a damp cheek. Gently brushing away a tear that had escaped dulling mahogany orbs, Gellert placed a hand over Percival's still flat abdomen. Mahogany widened and if Percival could flinch then Gellert had no doubt he would have.
"Give me no reason to and you shall make it through the rest of this experience unharmed," Gellert whispered softly, his thumb unconsciously rubbing soothing circle against Percival's clothed abdomen. "All three of you."
At that last statement, Percival's gaze shot to the hallway entrance that led to his and his husband's bedroom. With his hand still cupping Percival's face, Gellert whispered a wandless sleeping spell and the raven drifted off into unconsciousness. Straightening up, Gellert moved Percival to the bedroom where he lay the two men side-by-side. It was with quick work that the home was spelled to prevent anyone from entering or exiting the premises. Tucking the two wizards' wands in the pocket on the inside of his coat, Gellert left. He had plans to execute and had no thoughts of changing them.
.:oOo:.
Percival woke with a startled gasp, his heart racing loudly inside his chest. Flailing hands were caught by a pair of steady ones and Percival jerked his gaze to see a sight he never thought he would get a chance to again.
"Alexi," Percival breathed and his husband drew him into his arm.
Percival grabbed hold of Alexi as the very thought of this being a dream frightened the raven. Being able to finally move and having the fear of being restrained lifted off of him, Percival exhaled a shuddering breath. Alexi's fingers ran through Percival's short locks, his other arm tight around the raven's waist.
"Did he hurt you?" Alexi asked, not able to pull himself away enough to glance over his husband's form.
Percival's grip tightened ever so slightly.
"He ambushed me on my way into the office, stunned me before I could even draw my wand," Percival whispered, burying his face against Alexi's chest.
Alexi's heart was pounding in Percival's ears. A kiss was pressed to Percival's crown.
"He could have killed you," Percival sobbed, fingers digging into Alexi's shoulders. "I thought he did."
"Percival, you have to calm down. Please. I know it's hard, but calm your breathing," Alexi pleaded, trying not to imagine the worse as he attempted to calm his husband. "Try matching your breathing with mine."
Alexi took a slow, deep breath and exhaled. Percival did the same, the action shuddering at the end. They repeated this process over and over until Percival was no longer shaking and his grip loosened. Leaning back, Alexi brushed raven locks away from Percival's eyes before pressing their lips together. Finally able to gather that they were both alive and relatively unharmed, they moved as one and got up from the bed. Alexi exited the room first, not willing to risk Percival and their unborn child for anything.
"My wand is gone," Alexi murmured, feeling Percival gripping the back of his shirt.
"Mine too," Percival stated, an underlying tone of anger in his voice.
Without their wands, they could not apparate. Alexi tried the front door only for the seams to vanish. The windows did the same. Percival swallowed the rising lump in his throat, his arms crossing over his abdomen. Biting his tongue, Alexi hurried through their home and entered their shared study in a flurry of movement. Percival watched as Alexi practically tore through the bookshelves, tome after heavy tome hitting the floor.
"Alexi, what—," Percival paused as Alexi seemed to find what he was looking for.
The tome was unremarkable in appearance, its title mentioned Herbology. Brows furrowed, Percival watched Alexi open the tome and inside was a pocket space instead of pages on magical plants. Alexi pulled out a small jade cat statue.
"Do you mind letting your husband in on the action?" Percival drawled, unable to hold back the curving of his lips at Alexi's sheepish expression.
"I may have let it slip that you're pregnant, so my mother gifted us this emergency port key," Alexi stated.
Percival gapped.
"Alexi Russo!" Percival voiced in disbelief. "We agreed on waiting."
"What? You know how my mother is. She can smell the change in your hormones," Alexi murmured that last part. "I swear she is part bloodhound. Although it didn't help that you ate her chocolate ice cream with dad's pickled radishes."
Percival felt his cheeks flush.
"I don't have a say in what our baby wants to eat, you imbecile!" Percival shouted, actually pointing at his husband.
Alexi chuckled, grabbing Percival's hand and pulling his husband close. Nuzzling the side of his neck, Alexi felt Percival shiver and practically melt against him.
"Hold on tight and don't let go," Alexi breathed against Percival's neck, his own arms tightening around his husband securely. "Pudding cup."
Percival's laugh was cut off as the words activated the emergency port key, the two wizards being whisked away to an unknown destination.
"AH, the baby is coming! Quick, Antonio, grab the overnight bag I packed to Percy. Alexi, why is my precious son-in-law on his feet? Pick him up, up, up!" Giulia Russo, Alexi's mother ordered both her husband and son.
Percival looked at Alexi with a brow raised. Alexi chuckled.
"Mama, Percival is not having our baby yet. Please—." Alexi tried to placate his frantic mother, his hands up in a calming way.
Giulia stopped at what she was doing, which was ushering Percival off of his feet herself and eyed her son. Glancing down at Percival's still flat abdomen, she frowned.
"You used the emergency port key and try to give your poor mother a heart attack? Alexi Leonardo Russo, I ought to turn you over my knee!" Giulia voiced loudly, waving her finger at her son.
Alexi winced at his full name leaving his mother's mouth. Percival grinned, relaxing in the set Giulia had guided him to and watched the scene unfold with amusement…or would have if Alexi had not spoken next.
"Mama, please, this is an emergency. Watch over Percival for me. I'm need to use your floo," Alexi stated, already starting out of the room.
Percival would have jumped up if it were not for Antonio's hand on his shoulder, keeping him sitting with a comforting squeeze. Expecting Alexi to have left him with his in-laws, Percival was surprised when Alexi returned within five minutes with someone in tow…two people actually.
"President Picquery! Healer Walsh!" Percival voiced with surprise, his designated healer not wasting time in casting diagnostic charms over him.
"Percival, Alexi explained everything," Seaphina Picquery stated as she stepped over to her right hand man's side. "No one is aware of Grindlewald taking over your appearance, so it is only a matter of time before he is caught and brought to justice."
"Grindlewald? Gellert Grindlewald attacked my grandchild?" Giulia questioned, her face pinched in anger.
"Ah, Mama, calm down—."
"I'll turn that no good excuse for a wizard into a…a…a lizard! And then I'll let him loose in our chicken pin! See how he likes it!" Giulia threatened, her hands on her hips as she continued to rant and rave about all of the ways she was going to get back at the Dark Wizard for coming after her family.
The others in the room winced at the details the usually calm woman went into, all the while Antonio grinned at his wife. Percival craned his neck and locked eyes with Alexi.
"She's scary," Percival mouthed to his husband and received a nod of agreement.
"All is well with the babies. No harm has come to them," Healer Walsh stated happily.
Percival's eyes widened at the healer's words while Giulia's anger switched to joy. A thud sounded throughout the room, causing all excited chatter to halt. All eyes turned to where the sound came from and saw Alexi passed out on the floor.
"Alexi!" Percival cried out even as Antonio laughed at his son's reaction to having twins.
"Psh, Russo men and their fainting," Giulia huffed, the happy glimmer in her eyes not fading. "Antonio reacted the same way about Alexi."
Percival grinned, his hand splayed over his stomach as he stared at his husband. He just hopes Grindlewald is caught soon so he and Alexi could welcome their children into a world without Dark Wizards trying to take over. With that thought, Percival watched as Alexi began to come to and cobalt locked onto mahogany. Love fluttered in Percival's chest at the purse adoration reflecting back at him.
