"I'm sending a text to Roman to say we're in catering," Seth said.
He was walking next to Petra into the arena. He sent the text and they made their way to catering. It was still early so no one was in there. She walked over to the coffee maker and started to make two cups of coffee for them. He placed his hand on her lower back and let it slide down over her ass.
"There you are," Roman said.
They both turned around to greet Roman, but he wasn't alone. Dean was standing there too.
"Dean? What are you doing here?" Seth asked.
"I came to greet old friends and watch the PPV," Dean said.
Dean walked over to them, smirked at Petra and took one of the cups she was holding in her hands.
"Thanks, toots," Dean said.
Petra didn't say anything. She just let Dean take the cup of coffee that was meant for Seth. She looked over at Seth briefly, and it felt like someone was squeezing his heart when he saw the sad look in her eyes.
"So what have you all been up to? Am I still missed around here?" Dean asked.
"Don't you watch us on tv?" Seth asked.
"Of course I do. I still take my piss breaks in the women's matches though. It's not like they're that entertaining," Dean said.
Dean looked at Petra, smirked and winked.
"No offence, toots, but you're more talented on your back," Dean said.
"Really, Dean?" Roman asked.
"Sorry, dad," Dean said mockingly. "I forgot I can only talk like that in private. No one's here, Roman. You and Seth are used to me talking like that, and Petra knows she's more appealing with a dick in her mouth. No one wants to hear her speak anyway. That mouth is better at sucking than talking."
"Shut the fuck up!" Seth hissed.
"Jeez, things have changed since I've been gone. When did both of you get sticks up your asses?" Dean asked.
Dean turned to look at Petra again.
"Aren't you tired of these two yet? We still have room on the other side for you," Dean said.
"I need to go. I need to find Toni and go over our match," Petra said.
Petra hurried out of catering. Dean shrugged and turned to Roman and Seth.
"Who's Toni?" Dean asked.
"Toni Storm," Roman said. "Are you sure you're watching the show?"
"Of course I am. You know me. I never remember a woman's name. I judge them by their ability to suck and fuck. I don't care to know their names," Dean said.
"Nothing's changed with you," Seth said.
"That's right. Still good, old me," Dean grinned. "If you'll excuse me, I wanna go say hi to everybody. I'll catch up with you guys later."
Dean walked out of catering. Seth turned to frown at Roman.
"Why the fuck did you invite him?" Seth asked.
"I didn't. He was here when I showed up. That's why I called you. I tried to warn you," Roman said.
"And I hung up on you," Seth sighed. "Petra scolded me for that. I'm sorry, Roman. I messed up."
"Would it have made much of a difference? He would still be here," Roman said.
"I hate him," Seth sighed. "I used to care about the man but not anymore. I've grown to hate him over the years."
"I'm not particularly a fan of him either," Roman said. "Let's just get through the day. He'll soon be gone again."
Seth nodded and walked over to the coffee machine. He suddenly needed coffee really bad. He needed to be awake and alert if Dean was going to be around all day.
"He hasn't resigned, has he?" Seth asked.
"Dean resigning? Ha! Fuck, no," Roman said. "The first thing he did was to ask me to leave with him. As if I'm ever gonna leave this place. He saw it as his jail but I love it around here. It's my happy place."
"So why is he here?" Seth asked.
"To play king," Roman shrugged. "He's on top in AEW. He thinks people around here will admire him. He's going around rubbing it in people's faces."
"Who the hell invited him?" Seth asked.
"AJ Styles," Roman chuckled. "Or more like Dean asked for an invite. You know AJ can never say no to anyone. Poor guy got conned into it by Dean. He's already apologized in the locker room to those who have arrived. I'm sure he'll apologize to you too once he sees you."
