Hey there! here we got another chapter with our ol' pal sans on mistral, you know what that means, time for sans to suff-i mean have a nice and normal day.

Glynda Goodwitch was having a very hard time trying to hide her headache, ever since Qrow came back with Amber, she has been trying to wrap her head around what Qrow told them. First that Amber was attacked, then saved by a huntsman and a hotdog seller...or a hotcat seller?, then as it turns out the whole flying ursa thing was not false.
But what was false was all that the hotdog seller told them, Qrow went and looked for the hunter who was named Cye and managed to find him, but appertantly he had no idea of what Qrow was talking about, and said that he hadn´t left the village that day. When Qrow told him who gave him this information he didn´t looked too pleased.
That same day he apperantly left the village, according to Cye he was heading for the city of Argus to reach Vale, which meant that he was heading towards them, which is way now she was in a meeting with Ozpin, Qrow and Amber about this new individual.
"So Qrow would you mind telling us about this...'sans' character?" asked Ozpin while sipping some coffee.
"Well for starters he is pretty short, wears a blue hoodie and a red scarf that covers his face pretty damned well, i think he was also wearing a pair of pink slippers, and again i couldn´t see his face. I asked him to remove his hoodie but he told me some BS excuse that he couldn´t because of his religion"
Now Ozpin has lived many lifetimes, but this is the first time he has heard of such religion "Ive never heard of a religion like that...so it´s safe to assume that he wasn´t telling the truth...now im wondering why go such lengths to hide his identity...what else do we know about him?" asked Ozpin while the gears inside his head began to turn.
"Well according to that Cye guy, his full name is Sans Comic...or something like that, he also somehow banished with all the stuff he had, on less than a second while i got distracted by...the flying...ursa" Qrown was hoping that he was drunk at the time and started to see things but nope, there was a flying ursa, just floating there in the sky.
"Perhaps his semblance allows him to teleport?" said Glynda adding her own input, but Amber shot the idea down.
"That couldn´t be it, he told me he used his semblance to heal me, he said that his semblance allows him to add healing propeties to his food"
"You belived him? i don´t know about you but that sounds like a very odd semblance, he probably lied about it, I mean he lied about the hunter helping so who is to say he didn´t lie about that too?" said Qrow, not really thinking his semblance was healing food.
"No amber defenetly got healed...but something isn´t right with her..." said Ozpin with a serious look on his face.
"W-What? what do you mean?" asked Amber looking pretty worried at the headmaster´s words.
"He did heal you...but your powers are weaker than before, i can feel it, you lost half of your maiden powers"
This revelation came as a shock to those around the room and now they were all exchanging worried looks "But how? how could they take half of her powers away? She is still alive!"
"I am not to sure Glynda, it is clear that they were trying to get her powers, but i am not sure how they did it..." Ozpin was now worried about what that could mean in the future, worried that the power of the maidens would fall into wrong hands.
"S-Should i be worried about that?" asked Amber looking a bit more scared now.
"Well thats something that also worries me, the way they took your power was forcefull, the powers of the maidens become a part of you once you obtain them. That is the reason that death is the only way for the powers to transfer to another host, but the way they took your power was as if they ripped it out of you, which not only took part of your power but also your soul."
Amber paled at this revelation and started to midly panic "Does...does that mean that I´m gonna-" Ozpin then interrupted Amber.
"If you think that you are gonna die then rest assured, your soul WAS damaged but...it appears that our friend not only managed to heal your body, but also your soul..."
Amber looked reliefed, but Glynda and Qrow looked worried "Heal her soul? is that even possible Ozpin?"
"...There used to be ways to do so a long time ago Glynda, but none were easy to accomplish, but now? it shouldn´t be possible, not even a semblance can heal the soul, the body? yes but the soul is something harder to heal..." Ozpin was now very intrigued by this 'sans' person.
"Qrow, what kind of person was he like?"
"Well for starters, he is a smartass, he managed to make me buy one of his damned hotdogs, but for the most part, seems like a pretty laidback person, spoke without fear and I only heard him raise his voice to point out the freaking flying ursa"
"Hmmm yes about that, i actually don´t think that ursa could actually fly" said Ozpin, to which Qrow was about to say otherwise when Ozpin stopped him "Hear me out first Qrow, you see i did a bit of my own research and talked to Mr Cye too, i asked him about how he met our mysterious friend and he told me something quite curious"
He paused then continued "Apperantly he met him on a forest while he was attacked by an ursa, with no means to defend himself, then suddenly the ursa started flying away and sans appeared right behind him, when asked about this he simply said it was 'The wind'"
Ozpin looked to everyone around then asked "Doesn´t it ring any bells to any of you?"
"Does that mean that he somehow made a freaking ursa fly!? just to distract me and amber?!" Qrow looked pretty frustrated and confused and so did Amber, Glynda looked like she was thinking about something and then asked.
"Ozpin do you think he has a semblance similar to mine?"
Ozpin nodded then said "Yes i belive he has some type of telekenesis...but that wouldn´t explain all the other stuff he has done, like dissapearing without trace and healing Amber´s soul" Ozpin could only come to one conclusion but not a good one.
"But...that could only mean"
"Yes Glynda, i believe this man is somehow using magic..." Qrow looked baffled and so did Glynda.
"B-but how? it shouldn´t be possible anymore right?" asked Qrow knowing fully well the implications of Ozpin´s words.
"Because if you didn´t give him those powers...then that could only mean..."
"Salem" Glynda said firmly "Then this means that he is an enemy"
"That is the one thing that i am still not sure of" said Ozpin, which suprised Glynda "His motives show´s otherwise, if anything he stopped someone who works for her, and even healed Amber. He could´ve just left her to her fo her death and let them take the power of the maiden, but he didn´t"
"This only means that we don´t know his motives, he could be planning something and needs amber alive for it" Glynda said while Amber looked pretty uncomfortable.
"It's still far to soon to make any type of judgement, we need to get more information about him, I will ask James for help and Qrow i want you to go to the city of mistral and follow him for a while, try to get more information about him if possible" Qrown nodded, not really exited about his new objective.
"What about me?" asked Amber looking at Ozpin.
"Amber i will train you to use your maiden powers better while we look for the ones that tried to take them from you, you will live in here for now and will become a teacher assistant. Glynda will fill you in on the details." Glynda nodded and Amber nodded.
"Now unless anyone has anything else to say, I think we should end this meeting for today"
And with that all but Ozpin left the room, leaving him to think about this new wildcard that has been added to the game, asking himself who would claim such piece first, him or her.
"Did you find anything Watts?"
"Nothing my misstress, whoever stopped cinder either lied about his name or somehow managed to destroy all trace of his existance"
A new piece has been set and Salem knew it was a powerful one, and she will get her hands on it before that old fool does.
"Sans..." He will belong to her.
"ACHOO! woah, i didn´t know i could sneeze, thats odd" said sans while getting taking off his slippers and his red scarf.
"eh maybe someone is talkin ´bout me, i can feel it in my bones heh" sans then let himself fall into the bed of heis new room, after getting to the city of mistral, sans bought a room in a nice hotel, hid away his hotcat stand and managed to once again sneak lil bud in. It was no MTT resort but it was still pretty good.
"ahhhh this is much better than that other bed, and this room even has a tv thing" said sans while grabing the remote for the tv while lil bud got comfy beside´s him.
"lets see what this world got to offer for entretainment" Sans then started to browse trough channels trying to find something entretaining, sadly it didn´t seem like anything caught his attention. So he turned it off and decided it was best to take a nap.
But before he could dose off his companion started to meow at him "Meow"
"Huh? what wrong?"
"Meow" then the cat looked to his bowl of food being empty.
"oh you want more food eh? Well sure let me just-" sans then pulled out an empty cat food bag "...welp guess no food for today, g´night" then sans tried to sleep again, only to be annoyed by his companion " c´mod bud can´t ya trow me a bone here and wait till tommorrow? im dyin here"
The cat hissed as his anwser "uuuughhhh finee, I guess i need to re-stock on stuff for the hot cats, but tommorrow im stayin here all day a´right?"
The cat meowed in agreement "ok ok lets go, just let me put on back my slippers and my scarf"
After getting ready sans and his lil bud left the hotel and went to look for supplies, right now they were in the middle of mistral, sans guess that if they went higher the prices for thing might also be higher so he stayed in the middle to find supplies, and the view from here was just fine.
There were many people around and he even finnally managed to spot a few faunus 'huh pretty weird seeing humans like that but eh' after searching for a while sans finally got the supplies he needed and payed with the totally not stolen lien he got from those nice bandits. Sans and his lil bud then were heading home when out of nowhere, some guy came and stole one of sans bags with his supplies and ran off.
"...welp that sucks, guess ill go back and buy mor-" But then lil bud hissed and went after the guy "...boy today aint my day" so sans sighed and tried to follow both of them which was not as hard as he made it seem, but for him its was a challange.
Finally he caught up and cornored the guy in an alley "heya...'pant'...how´s it ´gasp´...goin..'pant'" after taking some deep breaths sans calmed down and asked "do you mind givin that back? i think you took something that wouldn´t enjoy anyways"
"Food is food so no, I think im gonna keep it" said the guy looking for a way out "i mean not gonna judge but unless you like cat food you are gonna be dissapointed"
This comment made the guy raise his eye brown and looked inside the bag to find more little bags of cat food "DANGIT!"
"HISS" the cat hissed at him while he pulled out a knife out of his pocket.
"Then ill take all that you have, so either hand it over or I´ll paint this alley with your blood!"
"jeez, talk about graphic, tho saddly you would be dissapointed at that too" then the guy had enough and charged directly at sans swiping his knife trying to cut his neck, but sans trows his head back to avoid the attack.
"WHAT THE-" Then the guy backed away from sans looking afraid for his life.
"eh? whats wr-" then suddenly sans realized that his hoodie wasnt covering him anymore.
"...uh well thats awkward"
"G-GRIM-" before he could finish his sentence, sans took a shortcut behind him and hitted him in the back of the head with his fist using aura, making him fall into dreamland.
"OK that´s not good...if im lucky maybe i can make him think it was just a dream" so sans grabbed the guy and sat him against the wall of the alley making sure he is comfy "Well that should do-"
'FLASH'
Sans blinked twice at the sudden noise and light, then looked to his side to see a girl with lavender hair, holding a scroll shaking and looking at him with wide and scared eyes.
"...it..." 'i forgot to pull my hood up didn´t I?' the girl let out a quiet 'eep!' and ran away.
"Meow" meanwhile sans companion just seemed happy to have his food back.
"...this is all your fault ya know?"
"Meow"
Guilty as charged.
A few days earlier
Lisa lavender was a well known reporter from the Vale News Network, and she takes pride in her job, so when she heard about rumors about a flying ursa being spotted at mistral she started to look on the matter and try to get all info she could on the matter.
"Lisa! you are not gonna believe this!" said her of her co-workers "There has been another sighting of the flying ursa on mistral! there hasn´t been any recording and the pictures are all blurry but there are more witnesses this time!"
Now this caugh her attention, if more people say it then the chances of it being real have increased, and if she manages to cover the story before anyother networks then their viewership would increase!.
"Thats all i needed to hear! Cole!" screamed lisa
"AH! oh yes?" said Cole, Lisa´s camera man.
"Get the equipment ready! we are heading for mistral! if we cover this or even manage to be the first ones to record it then our viwership will sky rocket!"
"Yes ma'am!" Then as cole got to work, Lisa smiled and prepared to take an exclusive of a life time.
Lisa and her camera man Cole finally arrived at the capital of mistral, she was ready to search for more information on the flying ursa, first she needed to talk to the people around in hopes someone could point her where the ursa was last spotted, she and Cole splited up to cover more ground, she finnally managed to find someone who could have some answers but before she could interview him, someone managed to ake her wallet out of her pocket and started to run away.
"HEY GET BACK HERE YOU BASTARD!" She chased after him, but lost him on the crow of people around "GOD DAMMIT!"
She gave up and decided to report it instead, but luckly on the way to the police station she managed to find the same again running away with a bag on his hands, while a cat chased after him...and some other guy was chasing too, if you could call it that. She followed them into an alley were she saw...'Is...is that a grimm?'
She saw the guy that was chasing the other guy that stole her wallet with his hood down, and it wasn´t a the normal face of a person or a faunus, but what it looked to be a skull, her body was telling her to run away and scream that a grimm had somehow got pass their defences, but her instincts made her take out her scroll, and took a picture of the thing 'FLASH' "...it..." but she forgot to take the flash off.
"eep!" Then she began to run away as fast as possible, she didn´t even turn around to check if it was chasing her 'I need to show this to the authorities! call in a huntsman!...then maybe make a cover on it...' then out of nowhere a small black cat snatched her scroll "H-hey give that back!, thats not food!" and the cat began to run away, she ran after the cat who somehow despite being so small, can carry her scroll and run really fast without much issue.
She kept chasing the cat who tried to lose her on the crowd of people but she didn´t let them stop her this time as she rushed past them, the scroll the cat was holding was then kicked away by accident by one of the many people walking through and slided through the ground close to a cliff with a safety rail were a bunch of people were taking photos with their friends. The scroll was close to the edge but stop before it could fall.
Lisa and the cat stared at eachother before rushing for the scroll, lisa trew herself fowards to grab scroll but before she could grab it, a figure bent down and grabbed it "oh is this yours?" Lisa then calmly got up shook the dust off her.
"Yes thanks i-" she looked up to see two white dots staring at her, suddenly fear began to crawl all the way up her spine, as she realized who this person- no thing was.
"yeah no problem, i mean what are friends for right?, here ya go" he said while holding out her scroll for her, she stared at him unable to look away, and slowly tried to snatch her scroll away, right when she was about to take her scroll back, the figure pulled back the scroll and said "buuut y´know since we are such great friends and all you wouldn´t mind inviting me to go out and eat something with ya now would you?" she wanted to protest, but could not say anything while he stared at her with those glowing dots of his.
"s-sure" she said trying to find a way out if this situation.
"well great! I happen to have spotted a nice place close by, so lets get goin then" she was gonna die wasn´t she?
After following the guy they both enter a family dinner 'He wouldn´t kill me in here were there is a lot of witnesses would he? or would he kill them too?!' they both sat down opposite sides from eachother and the thing tried to start a conversation "so wadda'ya think? neat place huh? food looks good" she just kept staring at him without even blinking "uh you ok there? you look like you saw a ghost" said the thing while lookin at the menu "you know what ya gonna get?" he asked but she did not answer.
"...y´know it ain´t much of a date if ya don´t talk...tell ya what, why don´t you ask me some questions, and ill see if i can answer them" it looked like she was going to stay quiet but then asked a queastion.
"W-what are you?" then an employee came and asked.
"Good day to both of you, have you decided what you are gonna order?" the thing looked back to the menu then back to Lisa.
"well i´ll have a burger with some fries, and she will get...?" she didn´t know what to say so she said the first thing that came to her head.
"Water"
"...Eh ok miss..." then the employee went away.
"Well about your question, i think its best if i tell ya what I´m not, which is a grimm" she frowned.
"Well what are you then?" the thing thought about it for a moment..
"Well the best way to put it is that I´m a skeleton, tho i feel like that should be obvious from what you saw" then he grabbed a ketchup bottle from the table and...began to drink it.
"what? is there something on my face?" asked the skeleton while drinkin the ketchup.
"W-what are you gonna do to me?" She asked very hestitantly.
"well, i was plannin on eating my order, maybe tell you a few bad jokes and finally thank you for the food and for payin for it all" she knew this was a lie because...well it had to be!.
"well that expression tells me you don´t believe me...here I´ll even give ya this back" he then slided her scroll trough the table and it stopped right in front of her, she imedeatly grabbed it and checked her photos "tho i gotta say, you take awful pictures" then her mouth fell to the ground as she saw that the picture she took was completely blurried and you couldn´t make out anything on it "guess shaking a lot does make it harder to take pictures of monsters on a alleway"
"DAMMIT!" she screamed angerly "I risked my life for a blurry picture?! GOD DAMMIT!" the skeleton stopped drinking ketchup.
"Woah easy there lady, no need to get angry, i mean your life wasn´t in danger anyways"
"What? then why did you bring me here in the first place?" then the employee came back with the burger and fries on one hand and a glass of water on another.
"Here you go sir and miss" then the walked away, then the skeleton began to eat his burger.
"what can´t friends just hang out from time to time?" said the skeleton.
"What? we aren´t friends!" exclaimed Lisa.
"wow that one hurted ya know, here i thought we were having some nice bonding time" He then started to search for something in his pocket, which scared her "welp i guess im not welcomed here but oh well, here might aswell give ya back this" he then pulled out a wallet 'wait is that my wallet!?'
"that guy on the alleyway stole a bag of mine so i chased him down and knocked him out, after you ran away i found this on his pockets. i look inside and wouldn´t you know it, it had a picture of you so here ya go" the skeleton passed her the wallet and finished his burger "welp since i ain´t welcomed here, i´ll be taking my leave, now that you got your wallet back ya wont have much trouble payin for the food, so thanks for that, cya" the skeleton then took his fries and left with out another word.
Lisa was so baffled with what just happened, that she couldn´t even stop him, and in the end her glass of water was not even glanced at once.
sans, after picking up lil bud went back at the hotel and finally got to his bed and tried to rest his bones, but his little companion reminded him that he still hasn´t given him the cat food he bought "boy you sure do make me put more effort than papyrus ever could...heh bet he would be jealous" sans yawned then he served the cat some cat food and finally got to bed and tried to sleep.
Meanwhile in the room next to sans in same hotel Lisa was having a nice and civil conversation with Cole "L-lisa calm down!"
"NO! DONT YOU TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!, i do not care if you don´t believe me but I WILL do this either with you OR without you!" Cole came back to the hotel room after the separated and waited for Lisa to come back, and when she did she told him of this crazy story of a ketchup drinking skeleton that she chased her because she took a photo of him and she wanted to show everyone this new strange creature, she did not look very...sane when she told the story but still he trusted Lisa and her instincts never fails her.
"Lisa of course ill help you! but we don´t even know this guy´s name or where he is at!" then before she could respond someone from the room next to theirs screamed.
"HEY WOULD YOU GUYS KEEP IT DOWN?! IM TRYING TO SLEEP HERE!" Lisa froze at that.
"T-That voice"
Sans would usually never scream like that but to be honest he was REALLY exausted and REALLY wanted to sleep, not gonna let a couple having a disscussion ruin his sleep.
The next day sans HAD to get up, because he forgot that he needed to buy the tickets for the train, and he knew that if he didn´t go now, he would have to wait in a long line of people wanting to get a ticket, and he was not to much into the idea, so sadly got up his bed grabbed lil bud and went to the station.
"well...atleast there aren´t many people this early in the morning..." After waiting in line for a bit he finally got his turn and managed to buy a sighed "there weren´t any tickets for tommorrow so it looks like i´ll have to leave today...i really wanted to just stay in that bed all day" now a depressed sans walked back to the hotel, not noticing that he was followed since he left the hotel by two figures.
"So he is heading to Argus then...looks like we found ourselves lucky lets buy the same tickets as him and follow him, the moment he least expects it we take a picture of him and show it to the rest of the world!"
A few hours later and sans was ready to board the Argus limited, the train looked pretty nice sans thought, he had to pay up a bit more lien so that he could put his hotcat stand on the train but he still had some left, so after making sure lil bud was confy on his pocket, he took a big breath and entered the train, followed by two other people and even a little crow managed to sneak in.
What they didn´t know it´s that another figure entered the train with the rest of the passengers, one that only had one objective on its mind, murder everyone on the train.
