Chapter 21: After the Wedding

Sebastian took three weeks off for the wedding and honeymoon. They were going to spend a couple of days at the hotel they'd booked out, just enjoying the different part of New York for the duration of the wedding and then the two days after.

They slept most of Sunday and part of Monday but they had a flight to catch early Tuesday morning so they could get in to France at a decent time. Sebastian swore to never fly directly into or out of Paris, there was always a major headache involved with that. So they were flying into Nice first and would spend a few of the days there before traveling up the coast and seeing all the major sights along the way.

Monday evening, Sebastian undressed Kurt and lifted him off the bed and carried him to the massive jet pool tub and lavished him with different scents and touches. He hadn't missed how Kurt was favoring his good leg or how he was careful in his turns.

Kurt melted into a gooey puddle and then Sebastian dried them both off and carried him back to bed again. They were going to rest up first, the next few weeks promised to be busy, no matter how 'relaxed' they were going to try and make it.

The flight to France nearly killed both of them. Kurt had to get up about every hour to work out the strain on his back from the very comfortable seats in first class. He hadn't murmured a word about going first class, they had themselves and four bodyguards to take with them. He had said it was foolish to take the private jet though. At least the private jet had a bedroom where he could lie down in.

Kurt couldn't imagine traveling all the way to France in coach. Not only because of his back but Sebastian had spoiled him on luxury and while he tried to stay the same Kurt, he caught himself spoiling himself quite often.

Also, with how well known his face was now, coach would have been miserable with people trying to get autographs or expressed their annoyance. He had already had enough of that while he got up and paced the lane between them and the people next to them. The wait prior to boarding had nearly killed his bodyguards as people tried to get selfies with him. He'd waved them off and nearly killed Sebastian with his pandering to his fans. He signed things too, many were French and had been in town to see some shows, his included. They talked at length to him about how disappointed they were that he wasn't in it. He praised the show though and talked it up, saying that it was great without him. They asked if he had anything in the works and he showed off his newly minted hand with a second ring. "Just being a husband at this point, that's enough for now. If I go back to Broadway soon, I'll definitely tweet it out."

Some had been New Yorkers traveling to France like they were and chatted about the different shows and what France had to offer for them. Kurt had to walk around at the airport too, and couldn't stay in one spot for too long.

At least three of the rows were dedicated to themselves. They sat in one back corner toward the class behind them, the guards sat in front and next to them. They probably should have just booked out all of first class with the way they kept glaring at him for walking back and forth or the way Sebastian jumped and the bodyguards watched him and anyone who might approach from either direction. There was a bar and Kurt was tempted to tell them to go hang out up there.

He walked up to the bar several times, ordered a water or something, just to satisfy those watching him and then would make his way back to Sebastian's side. Many knew that his back was hurt but they still thought he should be able to sit for longer than he did. Maybe he would have been able to prior to the wedding. Maybe on the way back it would be fine.

Maybe they should have just taken the private jet. He'd talk to Sebastian about his change of mind for the way back. This flight had been booked prior to the attack and they'd only added on seats since.

They could free it up for the overflow in coach to get a chance to sit in first class for once without having to pay for it.

He was tired of the glares and they were only half way there.

Sebastian glared at those who glared at Kurt and they scowled but then went back to what they were doing. They'd still have to deal with the wait at the airport though.

By the time they landed, Sebastian was breathing a little easier. The glares had lessened as Kurt stopped occasionally to chat with the passengers. The first class guests either went to sleep or drank or worked on their laptops. The ones drinking were the nicest.

They'd gotten Kurt a couple of hot towels to press against his back to help ease some of the pain and adjusted his chair so it would offer enough support. "This was a mistake." Sebastian breathed as they were halfway over the Atlantic. "You're in so much pain and if you have an attack up here..." He didn't even finish that thought because there was nothing they could do other than basically let Kurt finish the ride in pain. "And there's no guarantee that we'll have the proper furniture at our stops-"

Kurt turned to him and kissed him to stop him from going on. "It's going to be fine. I'm going to be fine." He hadn't had an attack in over a week. He put his palms on either side of Sebastian's cheeks. "It's going to be an amazing honeymoon."

Sebastian reluctantly accepted his words, he certainly hoped so.

Nice was... nice. The coast line was beautiful and they spent four days just enjoying the fresh coastal air and the warm weather and the sights that neither had seen either in a long time or ever. New York's coast line was nothing like this and while Kurt had been to other states for work, he hadn't had much time to explore or enjoy. Not like the four days they spent there, doing little other than walking down the cobblestone streets or eating at the seaside restaurants.

He did get into the pool a couple of times and it felt nice on his joints but even the resorts they stayed at had rambunctious patrons and were often jumping in, playing or jostling Kurt as they swam passed.

Sebastian tried to play defense but sometimes Kurt headed down while Sebastian took a nap. He was hoping that he'd catch the quiet hours when everyone else was napping or it was too early for the chaos. He got knocked over once when someone was jumping for the ball and he went under, spasming hard under the water and one of the bodyguards pulled him out but thankfully he was still conscious and only coughed up some water.

Sebastian went into nutty protective mode after that and Kurt decided it was best to stay out of and away from the water then.

Sebastian made sure to book completely private options after that too. They had nearly palatial areas with their own pools to themselves. Kurt missed the camaraderie he would have in a real resort but he did prefer this privacy with Sebastian too.

The first night in Nice, Kurt undressed Sebastian and got down to his knees and relieved him, singing nearly the whole time. All love songs, along the likes of How Sweet It Is, Lucky, All My Life, and No One. Sebastian stopped him shortly before he went down on him. "You don't have to do that, you don't have to make up on songs just because I've sang to you more."

"It has nothing to do with that, actually." Kurt looked up at him and smiled, his hands opening up Sebastian's pants and easing them off his hips. "I just want to sing and I want to sing for you." He hadn't really tried since he dropped out of the play but the wedding had rejuvenated his singing spirit. It hadn't hurt and now he was happy to do so, and he was so filled with happiness with Sebastian that he couldn't help but sing.

Sebastian released him and then found a release in Kurt's mouth not too long after. He helped Kurt back to his feet but for the most part he was fairly capable, definitely more every day.

The wedding may have set him back slightly but he wouldn't regret any part of the wedding for anything. It had been brilliant in all ways.

They slowly ambled their way back to Marseille then up the coastline then in toward Champagne region and Versailles then on to Paris. It was so gorgeous, so easy for Kurt to imagine getting lost there or spending considerable amount of time. He could see why so many stories of love were set in this country, why they were known as lovers and the language of love. He could see why Sebastian had been loathe to leave and only return to the US because of his parents' insistence. Why his parents came back every year at the same time for a month at a time and guarded that trip closely from interruptions.

Paris... was another beast altogether. They went to clubs and they danced on the fringe, Sebastian spinning him just in time to avoid an elbow or a body. Men grinded up on Sebastian from behind, he was totally their type. Although men hit on Kurt too and the two of them together. They shook it off and giggled together.

One night, Kurt was taking a breather at a table and Sebastian was still on the dance floor, he was working his way back from the bar, a virgin drink for Kurt while he had an alcoholic one for himself when someone slid up in front of Sebastian and kissed him.

Kurt was on his feet so fast, he nearly hurt himself and was between the two bodies, pushing against the chest of the stranger. The man looked down at Kurt startled. "How did you-?" He shook his head and put a hand on Kurt's shoulder to move him away with a push.

Sebastian's hands were suddenly there, pressing one of the drinks into it. With his newly freed hand, wrapped around Kurt's waist, pulling him flank against him, protecting his back with his body. "Kurt-" Sebastian breathed and wrapped himself even more around Kurt. "You should have stayed put, I can handle him."

"You're my husband, he just kissed you with your hands full. Not cool." Kurt glared at the tall man in front of him.

"Hey, kid, leave the grown ups to their own business." The man was intending to go ahead with shoving Kurt away but saw how Sebastian was wrapped so tightly around him. "I didn't take you for being into those younger than you, Seb."

"You know each other?" Kurt asked wide-eyed.

"Yeah, totally missed the dick over the last several years." The man looked closer at the hands crossed over the front of Kurt's body. Rings? "You're really into the kid, aren't you?"

"He's my husband." Sebastian nodded and hooked his chin over Kurt's shoulder. "Not a kid, he was actually the year ahead of me." By like a month, but who was counting?

"Husband?" The man seemed floored. "Never thought you had it in you."

"We're actually on our honeymoon." Sebastian announced proudly.

"So... haven't known each other for that long?"

"Is over 10 years a long time?" Kurt asked, looking up at Sebastian with feigned curiosity.

"Depends on who you ask." Sebastian gave a small shrug.

"God, Seb, you've really gone and changed on us, haven't you?" He glanced over at Kurt and took him in more. "I can see why he's into you. Careful though, lover-boy here has a history here. I was just a friendly friend."

"What do you suggest then?" Kurt asked, they'd been left alone for the most part, this was the first time someone had gone that far, had been someone Sebastian had known prior to leaving. "It's surprising that people would be hanging out in the same clubs 10 years on. In New York, clubs don't last longer than a few weeks."

"New York, huh?" He looked over Kurt too and then a frown started to form on his face. "You look... familiar." The city had released a familiarity clue and Sebastian shook his head. He wast oblivious to Kurt's put down about how he was still single and doing the same things at his age.

"Forget it, Javier."

"No, no, there's something familiar about his face."

Kurt and Sebastian didn't want to deal with what recognition would bring. They looked at each other and agreed it was time to move on to somewhere else. Reassured that Kurt wasn't going to be shoved over, Sebastian released his grip on his husband and they linked hands to walk back to the table that Kurt had abandoned. They had their jackets there. Sebastian reached out for both and Javier had followed them.

"Javi, seriously, forget it. Kurt and I are just going to grab a late night snack and go to bed."

"We should meet up in the morning for coffee and croissants. Kurt, huh? That sounds familiar too..."

Sebastian shrugged into his coat and held out Kurt's for him. It all happened so quickly. Neither were prepared for Javier to reach out and close his hand around Kurt's bicep and spin him around toward him with too much force which knocked Kurt into his chest.

"No, seriously-"

Sebastian was already reaching out to draw Kurt away when Kurt let out a blood curdling scream.

Javier dropped his arm instantly and took several steps back while the bodyguards appeared from where they'd been mingling and blending in. They took Javier down even as he was cursing and ranting about insane Americans.

Sebastian hesitated before he put a hand on Kurt's shoulder. He jerked but Sebastian drew him to him and against his own chest and linked one set of hands while the other went around the back of Kurt's neck and sank into his hairline. He spoke comforting words and Kurt calmed down with the reassuring tones and voice. His hands were familiar, doing familiar things.

"'Stien." Kurt buried his face in Sebastian's chest, trembling from head to foot and Sebastian held him closer to him.

"Let's get out of here." Sebastian tossed Kurt's coat to one of the bodyguards then swept Kurt up into his arms and carried him out of the club. The cool night air caught them off guard and Kurt coughed and clung on harder. "I'm such an idiot." Sebastian groaned even as the guard wrapped the jacket around Kurt's chest and shoulders. He never should have taken Kurt out to his old haunts.

Kurt groaned. "I'm so sorry 'Stien. I totally overreacted." He was bright red in embarrassment but it wasn't the kind of embarrassment that Sebastian angled for all the time.

"No, no you didn't. He triggered something, you're ok." Sebastian reassured and was relieved when their car pulled up and they got into the back together while the other men either got in or took the car behind them. "I'm so sorry."

"Nobody has triggered it before." Kurt wasn't alone with the tears now streaming down his face, Sebastian was too.

"You've only ever been surrounded by friends and family since it happened." Sebastian rubbed a hand over Kurt's back. "Since we've gotten here you've only been around strangers. You don't recognize the hand nor know what they're going to do with it." He dropped his head back against the car seat behind him. "It's too much, too soon."

"Shut up." Kurt murmured. "You know I've never been one to shy away from meeting new people. That's not the problem. He was just overly aggressive with both of us. That's all. We just have to stay away from your trysts and their hotspots." Though that meant no more clubs. That made Kurt sad, even though he couldn't shake it like he was used to, it had been fun to go out with music and dancing and not having everyone looking at him, knowing...

Sebastian chuckled darkly. "We best leave Paris altogether then." They were due to leave tomorrow anyway so Kurt joined in on the joke. They were heading to his family home, complete with horses, vineyards and the ilk.

They were going to then head south again along the Atlantic rather than the Mediterranean to Bordeaux. They agreed on the private jet on the way out and they'd fly out from there. Thankfully the family home and property were on the way.

Every part of their trip was very different than the last part. Deep inland on the way to the family home, they stopped in little towns and stayed in bed and breakfasts and got weird looks from the locals that six grown men were traveling together but Sebastian's money made them forget all about the fact that it was strange. As far as they knew, it was a bachelor trip, and they booked anywhere from two to three rooms in each town.

They wandered the towns hand in hand, ignoring the looks from the small town people. Sometimes they didn't get any looks at all, and they would see other people of the same sex holding hands but they were just friends. In Europe, that was quite common, they could be in an intimate relationship or just good friends. One never knew on first glance.

The family home was so entirely relaxing, they were greeted warmly and brought into the fold easily, as if Sebastian never left and Kurt had always been there. Sebastian's parents surprised them by showing up too. Food was plentiful and they all had their own beds, except Sebastian and Kurt's was made up especially for them as a newly wed couple.

"Good for babies." Sebastian's grandmother nudged him.

"Grandmere!" Sebastian blushed profusely, it was wrong on all sorts of levels.

"She knows, I'm a boy, right?" Kurt asked when she wandered off.

"Her eye sight isn't that great." Sebastian shrugged. "So who knows?"

"My hearing is fine boys!" She stopped at the staircase. "It's what I've told every newly wed, and I don't see why you two would be any different. You're going to want kids, right? So it might not be either of you that gets pregnant, doesn't mean that the blessing won't follow you though."

Both of them blushed bright red and she headed down the stairs. They were less likely to want to get it on there if they knew she could hear everything. Yet, as they laid in the bed that night, both of them fully dressed and holding each other, Sebastian's hand started to stray south on Kurt's back until his hand was between Kurt's cheeks.

Kurt slid his leg over Sebastian's to give him better access and they tried to be quiet. Still, in the morning, Sebastian's grandmother hummed happily as she served them. She pinched Kurt's cheek. "Such a cutie!"

Had it been anyone else, Kurt would have swatted at the hand. Isabelle showed up the day before they left. She was devastated they weren't going to stay longer.

"Well..." Sebastian looked over to Kurt who nodded. "I suppose I could call work and push back our return." They stayed for another 4 days and cut Bordeaux out of their trip. They could always go another time. This was family, who knew how long family would be around for? Sebastian hadn't been back for 10 years, they could stay here for longer.

Besides, they'd already exhausted their tourist bank, they were happy to just settle in here with familiar faces in a very warm and comfortable place. It was so easy, no stress, no worries, they turned that part of their brain off.

Kurt had plenty of time he could be outside and walking the grounds. It was so peaceful in the vineyards. He still hadn't gotten used to napping in the middle of the day and so had done those trips mostly on his own. Sebastian went with him to the stables.

It was soon time to go and the jet was too large to land anywhere on the property, but Sebastian's dad suggested taking the helicopter, it would save them a lot of time. Sebastian had been tempted but he looked over Kurt measuringly and then shook his head. "It's cramped."

"I'm sure it'll be fine for 20 minutes." Kurt attempted but Sebastian shook his head stubbornly.

Kurt didn't want to argue with him, it had been a surprisingly argument free trip. They hadn't even really bickered, just lots of sex and food and exploring. Kurt kind of missed the bickering, it was part of their foreplay. He also missed being able to top easily, he'd been almost exclusively a bottom this trip except the last night in Paris. Then Sebastian had insisted that he topped but Sebastian even though he received had been on top.

It's one of the first things he'd ask his doctor about when he got back, when he could go back to thrusting. He felt mostly fine, and except for a few of the instances this trip, no real mishaps with his body.

Grandmere tried all the time to fatten Kurt up, putting more food on his plate, offering sweets. All of which Kurt had turned down. "Too skinny." She complained and patted Kurt's 'boney' shoulder.

"I've already gained more weight than I should. I'm trying to recover but weight will only push that back." Kurt explained.

Sebastian shook his head. "You haven't put on any weight." He was more worried about Kurt being the same weight without having exercised like he used to. It was different now, it was strengthening exercises. "Eat, go ahead, it's good for you."

"The food is delicious." Kurt agreed but patted his stomach. "I've already ate too much though." He had two helpings, more than he usually ate and so Sebastian didn't push. Kurt was healthy and happy.

"We should probably get going." Sebastian sighed, he was loathe to leave already. He forgot how much he loved being here.

"Maybe we should make this a yearly trip." Kurt suggested and Sebastian's mother was instantly excited.

"We could make it a joint trip!" She would absolutely love that.

"This is in the middle of openings." Sebastian frowned at Kurt. "Your shows will be pissed if you take off this week every year. They barely accepted it originally because it's your honeymoon."

"It doesn't have to be this week." Kurt hadn't thought about that and Sebastian's mother fizzled out. "Although it will be our anniversary every year. I'm sure my wizard contract artist of a husband can write that into the contracts?"

"I'll see what I can do." Sebastian promised all of those there. It was hard for Isabelle to get out this week too because fashion weeks were always around now too and this year Paris lined up nicely with them being here. She took the helicopter back and forth to Paris constantly while they were there.

It was hard for both of them to say goodbye to his family. They'd see his parents at the next holiday and Isabelle for coffee soon, but it was still hard. It was just different there. He hadn't seen his grandmother in 10 years and some of the other relatives.

Kurt promised himself and without saying it out loud, promised Sebastian too that they'd see the relatives that lived in France far more often. He was already working out a way to get them to New York for Christmas.

It was harder than he anticipated though, Grandmere did not want to leave her home. He had spoken with her while the rest took naps. So he conspired with her to get everyone there, including his parents, Finn and his family there. He hadn't had a Christmas away from his father his entire life and since Finn and Carole had joined the family, he hadn't spent a Christmas apart from them either. He wasn't going to break with that tradition.

He thought his father would be the hardest to convince, this was totally out of his comfort zone but he agreed when Kurt got him on the phone during that week at the Wright homestead. They hadn't gone to Sebastian's father's hometown yet. It was Rachel who was dragging her feet.

"Look, I got two little ones to drag through the airport-"

"Private jet."

"Then we have to fly across the Atlantic with two tired and screaming kids."

"Private jet."

"And then have to trek from Paris to where ever that it is-"

"Private jet."

"And then the kids will be with people they don't know-"

"They know Sebastian, myself, mom and dad, your family-"

"Did you say PRIVATE JET?" She interrupted with a squeal. "God Kurt, I keep forgetting how much money you married into!"

"I supply some of the funds." Kurt defended hotly. He usually made 6 figures a year and not on the low end of that scale. "I bought the apartment for the bodyguards all on my own and pay their salary and half of the penthouse. I would have bought the entire thing myself straight out if Sebastian hadn't insisted on being equals."

"I'm pretty sure you were the one who insisted on that. I would have been perfectly happy if you were happy being a househusband." Sebastian's mouth kissed up Kurt's neck, surprising him.

"Oh!" Kurt jumped a little, he hadn't heard Sebastian come in and wondered if he had over heard Kurt's plan. "I have to call you back Rach."

"What was that about?" Sebastian asked, loosely looping his arms around Kurt's shoulders and resting his chin on Kurt's shoulder.

"Oh, just checking in with her. It's the longest we've been apart."

"You'd have thought the two of you were married with how often you see each other."

"She was my original roommate."

"I thought you'd have counted Finn as your original roommate."

"He lives with her." Kurt shrugged and relaxed into his embrace. "Did you have a good nap?"

"It was a lonely nap. Why don't you join me?"

"I've never gotten into the habit and when you have all this space to explore, why nap? I was so housebound for so long, that I don't want to miss a thing. Besides, I've never been overseas before."

Sebastian supposed that was true enough and he'd forgotten that for a moment. He'd been spoiled all his life. He was surprised that he wasn't itching to travel over these last few years other to visit Kurt in New York or go with him while on tour or back to Lima to visit the Hudmels.

"Still... properly rested and you can enjoy it even more with a relaxed and clean disposition."

"Clean disposition? What are you talking about?"

"After the heat of the day, and the nap, take a shower and get ready for the evening activities." Sebastian had answered easily and Kurt gave him that one too. "Although I meant you were clean and had a relaxed disposition, more ready to take on whatever is thrown at you, when you take a nap."

"True but I'm quite relaxed out here. I didn't know I was such a vineyard lover until now. It's so peaceful." Sebastian smirked and Kurt knew he was planning something now. "What is it?"

"I've never given you a wedding gift."

"I haven't given you one either." Kurt and Sebastian had bought gifts for all of those who were in their wedding party and it wasn't something cheap or easily put aside, forgotten. They'd all gotten scooters and Brittany and Santana rode them all the time. The kids were playing on Rachel and Finn's more than they were using them right now but Rachel did use it to pick up groceries. Mercedes had some choice words about it but she rode hers too. Sebastian said his side of the wedding party used them but Kurt doubted it. Well, maybe Jeff and Nick used theirs, they'd sent snaps of them to Kurt and Sebastian and they looked overjoyed.

Maybe next year they should rent scooters and just buy clothes to use and wear while here? Kurt already had a new suitcase full of new clothes; labels he couldn't get in the US, even with all the tools available to him. He'd made some nice finds in the 2nd hand stores too.

He was a bit weary. "What are you planning?"

"No worries, love." Sebastian answered with a falsely innocent smile. Kurt narrowed his eyes at Sebastian. "You'll like it. I promise."

Kurt heaved a huge sigh and trusted him. "Ok."

Sebastian laughed and pressed more kisses along his neck and jaw. "Don't sound so put out. You'll be happy when you see it."

"You just thought of it. You haven't thought out all the details yet, so you can't know for sure if I'll actually be happy but I won't argue. I'm sure if you decide it's not the greatest of ideas you'll come up with something else and claim it was that all along." Kurt teased and turned his head to kiss Sebastian's cheek. "I'll love whatever you give me."

Sebastian nodded. "You will."

"And you'll love whatever I give you."

"I will."

"Even though I have absolutely no idea what to get you and I'll have to figure it out after I see what you get me." Kurt teased. "Please don't make this into a huge gift-giving competition."

"It's not, it's not."

"So it's not something massive and ridiculous and not something I don't need?"

"Maybe not need but want but even then I think it might be something we both need." Sebastian explained.

"I'm kind of excited now." Kurt's eyes glimmered and Sebastian pulled away. Kurt pouted, that was not the reaction he'd been expecting or grown accustomed to.

Sebastian leaning down to pick up the picnic basket complete with blanket and taking his hand and pulling him deep into the rows of vineyards. Throwing out the blanket and stripping Kurt with hot and hungry kisses was far more what he'd expected. Sebastian didn't disappoint once he got Kurt exactly where he wanted him.

"I'm kind of surprised you didn't freak out about doing this outside." Sebastian laughed.

"It's not the first time, you know." Kurt slid across Sebastian's body and slowly sat up so he was sitting on Sebastian's chest. It was a beautiful image and Sebastian couldn't help but slip his hands over whatever he could reach.

"Are you sure that was with me?"

Kurt stuck his tongue out at him. "I can't believe you don't remember." But Sebastian did, he remembered every time with Kurt.

"How are you feeling?" Sebastian ran his fingers lightly over Kurt's thighs.

"Are you asking because you're concerned about my back or because you want to go another round?"

"Both? Whichever one let's me get lucky again, honestly." Sebastian joked and Kurt laughed hard.

"I think I can help you with that." Kurt bent over to kiss Sebastian. "Except when we get back home, you're going to be receiving pretty much for the rest of the year." They'd never been in this dynamic for quite this long before.

"No complaints here." Sebastian agreed happily, he liked receiving Kurt.

It was a wonder no one came out to investigate the loud moans in the middle of the vineyards. Then again, they'd probably heard it all before.

The flight home was uneventful. They'd spent most of the flight in the bedroom either fooling around or sleeping. Kurt got up and walked around a few times but nothing like he had on the flight out. He was feeling better, more relaxed and limber and whatever he'd done to set back his recovery had faded and he was on the right path once more.

Settling back into life in New York was fairly easy. Paris and then London were on the fashion weeks' agenda and then Isabelle was back, hitting Kurt up for a coffee between shows in New York. Then she was off to Tokyo.

Rachel occupied a lot of Kurt's time while Sebastian worked. He had to make up a few of the hours he was out, especially the last minute extension, so he had longer hours temporarily. He complained one night that week that he was glad that he rested up because he needed all of that rest and relaxation to make it through this week. He bemoaned the fact that he wasn't spending as much time as he had while in France with Kurt. Kurt had laughed and teased him that he wasn't working while they were in France and of course it wouldn't be that way. He'd eventually go back to work too.

Elliott went with him again to PT. It was a fantastic session and he told Sebastian all about it. After he showed him why it was so good.

Sebastian agreed 100% that it was a very good session indeed and was not sorry at all that he missed it personally. He liked the surprise when he got home.

It was only later that he realized that meant that Kurt had practiced those hip thrusts with someone. And that it meant Kurt could likely go back to work on a project that didn't require much out of him.

Kurt eased back in with short plays so far off Broadway that nobody would find him there or stumble across him by accident. He also went in under a fake name. There was no singing involved, so it was harder to connect him to his counterpoint.

Sebastian still attended every performance at least once. So did his dad.
