My masterplan

...

.

As she looked at her own reflection in the mirror, a small smile played at her lips.

Ana could hear Sean and Gia in the bedroom, discussing the tv show 'Outlander', for the hundredth time or so.

"Claire is stubborn and selfish, and should listen to Jamie more"

"Hey, what do you mean Claire is stubborn and should listen to Jamie? Why? Cause she's a woman?!"

Well, at one point Ana had enough of those two bickering about fictional characters, and walked out her bathroom." Helloo! I want a time-out from 'Outlander' this evening, do you hear me?" she said, making both Sean and Gia speechless, their eyes wide, gasping softly.

"What did you just say, Anastasia Steele?" Sean questioned, while narrowing his eyes at her.

She burst out into laughter, and elbowed him." Just kidding" Ana said, and walked over to the walk-in closet." Help me find something decent to wear... please?"

It was then, when Sean sped inside the closet, and began to put outfits together for his best friend.

"Don't worry about make-up" Ana heard Gia say from the bedroom." I've got it covered... tonight you're gonna look drop dead gorgeous, sweetie"

While Sean was discussing fashion with Ana, Gia received a text message.

She sneakily grabbed her phone from the nightstand and read it.

M: You guys on schedule?

G: Oh, yes... we're on it. Sean is helping her pick out the perfect outfit.

M: Oooh, so exciting! He really thinks that he's meeting up with an old friend from college.

G: Haha! Clever girl. She thinks she's meeting this theater director, a potential client.

M: We're sooo sneaky, I love it!

G: Partners in crime... you're a genius you know?

M: Well, after the last fiasco, we had to be more creative getting those two together.

G: Yeah, too bad he stopped that dinner you and your mom planned.

M: Anyways, you and Sean are bad ass too.

G: I hear them coming to the bedroom, bye Mia.

M: Laterzz, bye.

.

"This one is absolutely stunning!" Gia heard Sean say, so she shoved her phone in her bag.

"Isn't it too much?" Ana said, and walked over to the long mirror in front of her bed, studying her outfit.

"Gia, what do you think?" Sean asked, and hinted something at her.

"Sean's right, sweetie" Gia agreed, and looked at Ana." You look very beautiful, hon"

Ana scrunched her nose, and didn't look that satisfied." Isn't this dress too much? I'm planning on having dinner with a potential client." she pointed out." Why so fancy?"

In response, Sean grabbed Ana's hand and looked in the mirror." Since when did you buy this dress?" he asked.

"A while ago" Ana replied." I think, right before I was thrown into that ditch in Oregon?"

"Well then" Sean said, his voice trembling slightly. He was very worried about her, when Ana didn't show up at work at the time, and he was also the one who alerted detective Sawyer that she was missing. Fortunately, Ana called the next day from Oregon to inform them that she was in good hands." You almost didn't get a chance to wear it, sweetie..."

Ana looked at her own reflection in the mirror, while tears pooled in her blue eyes. The dress was really beautiful, and Sean was a hundred percent right." Why are you always right?" she said, and turned her face to look at her best friend, squeezing his hand." If not wear it now, then when. Right?"

Gia swallowed the huge lump in her throat, and leaped at the two for a group hug." Love you" the three said, and hugged each other tightly.

...Meanwhile, in the Grey's mansion...

.

"You look fancy, bro"

Christian was standing in front of the mirror, wearing a very nice suit." Is it too much?" he asked, and furrowed his brows.

"No, it's fine" Elliot answered and sat on the huge bed.

"I'm gonna have some drinks with Oliver from college" Christian announced, and combed his hair.

"Isn't he the one who took over his father's company a while ago?"

Christian nodded at that." Yes, and he's asked me to help him with some issues"

Elliot sighed deeply, and got up from the bed." Let me help you with that tie" he said, and stood in front of his younger brother.

"Sure" Christian chuckled." I haven't worn a suit and tie for more than two years now"

As he assisted Christian with the tie, Elliot felt extremely happy, being able to interact with his little brother like they used to.

"I have to apologize, bro"

In response, Christian looked him in the eyes and gave him a questioning look." What for exactly?"

Elliot expertly fixed his little brother's tie and let out a deep breath." For being so selfish, not wanting to share you with Ana, for being mean and acting like a douche towards her, and for not understanding the connection you two have with each other"

Christian chuckled at that." Well, that was a mouthful" he remarked, making Elliot laugh.

"Do you forgive me, bro?"

"Of course I do" Christian replied, and patted him on his arm. And then, he studied his brother's work in the mirror." Now this is what you call a suit and tie"

"Wow! You look dashing, brother" they heard a familiar voice say.

It was Mia.

"Thanks, Mia."

"You ready?" she asked, and winked at Elliot, when Christian grabbed his phone and wallet.

"Yes, I am"

"Let's go then" she said, and they walked out Christian's temporarily bedroom.

.

"Right on time" Ana whispered, and checked her make-up in the mirror." Not too shabby... not at all"

It was the fanciest restaurant in the city, and that impressed her a lot.

As she stepped into the establishment, Ana felt a lot of eyes on her, making her feel like a princess.

Well, this dress did cost her $1250,- and although she had saved it for a special occasion, Ana was happy she was wearing it now.

If this famous theater director wanted to buy art pieces from her, why not impress her too with her appearance? Right?

As she was being led by the hostess of the restaurant to her seat, Ana had a smile on her gorgeous face.

Christian was already seated, and as he waited patiently for Oliver, his eyes landed on a phenomenal vision...

His mouth fell slightly open, his eyes admiring and worshipping the one in the beautiful, red evening gown, wearing her wavy, chest-nut colored hair up.

"Ana" he uttered, and then experienced a light-bulb moment.

'Mia and Elliot! Seriously?!

While she was being guided by the hostess, Christian looked at Ana and wondered what he was waiting for.

She was all that he wanted and needed in his life, the only one who understood him fully and the one he longed for.

His mom would say." What are you waiting for, son? You waiting until it's too late?"

NO, he won't be waiting any longer, he decided then...

"Christian?"

Ana looked shocked too.

"This is your table, Miss Steele" she heard the hostess say." Call me if you need anything else? Here is your water"

Ana managed to say a 'yes' and as their eyes met, Christian got up and helped her with her seat.

"I don't understand" Ana uttered, while shaking her head, her brows furrowed.

"Yeah, me too" he told her." I'm just as surprised, Ana"

"I'm seriously confused, right now" she said, and laughed nervously.

"Me too, but uhmmm... I have to say, you look absolutely stunning, Ana" he declared, while admiring her beauty.

She nervously brushed a lock from her face, and said." Well, it's a first... seeing you in a fancy suit" she pointed out. "Looking very handsome, Christian"

"Thank you"

They both smiled widely, and it was then, when their phone buzzed.

"Who could it be?"

Christian read the text, and shook his head." I knew it"

Mia: Well, you both fell for 'MY' master plan, didn't you?

"Seriously?" he heard Ana say.

Sean: Ana, my dear... go get YOUR MAN!

Then they looked each other in the eyes, both wanting desperately to confess their feelings.

However, Christian hesitated still... and Ana was waiting for the right moment.

"Are you ready to order?" he asked, and gave her a loving look.

"No, not yet" she said, and took a swig from her water." I missed you, you know"

As those words reached his ears, Christian wanted nothing more than to grab her, and pull Ana in an embrace.

"I missed you too... a lot" he simply said.

She bit her lip, and sighed." Especially when I'm working, I still expect you to walk through the door and say." You need food in your belly, Miss"

Christian and Ana both laughed at that.

"Man, I really was that blunt and didn't give a crap about anyone's feelings, huh?"

As she made a snorting sound, while laughing, he gave her such a loving look." You're one of a kind, you know"

'So beautiful, inside and out.' he thought.

"Now that we're talking about how you acted, do you remember, when I scolded you for not giving me privacy in the bathroom, and then you bluntly said." It's not like I haven't seen you ' you know'. Have you forgotten who had wiped away all the blood from your body your first night here, took off of your torn clothes and cleaned you up?"

Christian hid his face with both hands, while Ana felt heat spread towards her cheeks.

They both laughed a contagious laughter, tears from joy leaving their eyes in the process.

When they finally stopped laughing, he grabbed both her hands and squeezed them lovingly." I know that I'm a weirdo, Ana..."

She shook her head at that. "You're not, Christian" Ana insisted, and felt her body set ablaze by his loving gaze." You are... who I want"

Christian couldn't believe what she just said." I am?" he uttered, and cupped her face with one hand.

She nodded in response." You're who and what... and everything that I want, Christian..." Ana confessed." And that's the truth. I never cared for anyone else, as much as I care for you"

Ana felt as if a heavy burden was being lifted from her shoulders, as she confessed her true feelings to Christian.

"Really?"

She nodded, and grabbed his hand, giving him such a loving look.

"I..." Christian started, but it was then, when the waiter stood in front of them." Are you ready to order, sir? Ma'am?"
