A\N: Just wanna say thanks to those who have given the story a chance. Definitely to those who are enjoying it. Obviously the last chapter, this chapter, is smut\fluff. Not sure about the next one.

Wanna also say sorry if everything seems choppy. I'm more of a first-person writer, but with the way this story is, it's better told in third. Lately I've been writing it in first, depending on how the chapter flows, then going back through and proof-reading the best I can and changing it to a third person view. When I started this story, I only had a plot. Everything else has been random ideas and flow-on-the-go type deal. Now, I have about 2 to 3 different endings to this story, depending on how events go - I may need to tweak the one I'm leaning toward. I already have an idea for a 2nd fiction to continue this particular story, but it very well may be first person. I may also have a totally separate fiction in the works, which will definitely be written in first person view. Feel free to like, follow, etc. Don't hesitate to R&R, as well. I will respond.

It was well past noon when they arrived back at the house. They hadn't meant to be gone for so long, but after the awkward talk of Vanitas and the small talk to fill in the gaps, Ventus and Sora sort of just hung out and lost track of time. On top of it, they had stopped back at the prize kiosk only to find out that their stay at the twins' old home was only a one night gig. As the two stepped through the doors into the foyer, the first thing they noticed was the silence. They shared a look before they proceeded with their investigation. Sora separated and went to the right, hitting the library first. But when he peeked his head behind the door, nobody was inside the dust-filled room. He backtracked, keeping upstairs as he passed the door to his own room and toward the next, which was Riku's. Knocking, the brunette received no answer.

"Riku?"

Still nothing. He continued on his way, stopping by the middle door that Axel and Roxas insisted on sharing. Sora hesitated before lifting a curled hand to knock on the door, calling out as he did. Still, no response. He furrowed his brow as he looked over the banister, seeing Ventus shrug his shoulders as if to say he had no luck as well.

"I'll head back out the front. There's a chance they went into town, too. Maybe I'll see them coming if they're on their way back," he said. His feet carried him in a gentle lope toward the door before disappearing outside.

Sora headed back downstairs, spinning my weight around at the end of the banister with a hand. His eyes settled on the sliding back door as he stopped. Could they have gone out the back? Sora walked over, sliding the door open and stepping outside. At first glance, nobody. He didn't hear a thing other than the gentle sway of leaves in the light wind. The brunette closed the door behind him and walked further, around the large statue of a horse, until his eyes landed on the path leading into the forest beyond. He wasn't scared, per se, but he wasn't going into forest by himself. He did, however, stop at the end of the stone steps and cupped his hands around his mouth.

"Roxas! Axel! Riku!" he called. The wind answered him, that was all.

With a sigh, he turned back and retreated toward the door once more. At this point, they had to have left the house. But before he could take the last four steps to open the door, something held fast to his arm and pulled him into the bushes. A yelp escaped his mouth as Sora tumbled back, landing in the dirt with a hand covering his mouth. Riku filled his vision as he cracked open his eyes, a finger to his lips to tell the brunette to be quiet.

That wasn't going to be a problem. Until Riku shifted his weight and a blazing heat crept onto Sora's face due to the fact his leg was somewhere it shouldn't be. He swatted his hand away from his mouth and pushed him back, lifting himself to crouch on his knees. Sora poked his head above the bushes, looking around. Whatever the shifter was trying to be quiet about, he wasn't understanding.

"Why are you in the bushes?" asked Sora, not even quieting his voice to a whisper. The shifter mimicked him as his silver hair came above the trim of leaves, giving the brunette a sharp look.

"The hell have you guys been up to? I've been hiding nearly all fucking morning from these guys," he bit out as he kept his voice quieter. Sora raised an eyebrow at him, slowly rolling his eyes toward the side to look at the door once more. "They've been trying to get me to play some card game."

"...Aaand?" Sora asked slowly.

"I'm not good at it. And they looked like that had some sort of plan behind it..." His voice as flat, as if that information should have been known by everyone. He wondered if the shifter realized he had been a secluded mute only a short time ago. The change he was seeing now seemed pretty drastic compared to the first couple of weeks the vampire had been here.

A twig snapped somewhere behind the statue. Before he knew it, he was being flung down to the ground again. This time, it didn't take long to realize that Riku hadn't just pushed him, but basically tackled him out of panic. Sora stared at the leaves above as he felt warmth spread across his exposed stomach. And it wasn't because of a happy-go-lucky feeling either. It was the shifter's breath, fanning across his bare belly since his shirt had rode up from the one-sided tussle. As much as he didn't want to, curiosity got the best of him and he lifted his head just enough to glance down. Riku was crouched over his waist, head down and eyes glued to my stomach.

"What the hell? Can you fucking move?" Sora bit out in the quietest voice he could manage. He shot another one of those heart stopping looks at at the brunette, who's mind did a double roll on the thought. Wait, heart stopping?!

"Will you shut the fuck up?" he retorted in a hiss.

Sora gritted his teeth as he lifted a leg to kick off the shifter, but quick reflexes had a hand behind his knee, fingers gripped tightly to keep him from moving and making anymore noise. The brunette bit out another curse toward him, which he retaliated with his own. In the midst of their whisper battle, they had hardly noticed the footsteps approaching.

As the leaves parted above them, Sora's bright eyes shot to the very pair he had been searching for. Axel had a devilish grin on his face, but Roxas attempted to at least look embarrassed for them. If it wasn't for the amused look battling for control of his features. The blush that had been on Sora's face earlier had been nothing compared to the inferno consuming him now.

"Ah, well, I think a bed would have been better for this type of shenanigans. I always knew you were a kinky wolf," the redhead said in a sly voice, waggling a finger at them in a circular motion. Riku dipped his head under the leg he held as he shoved Sora aside, standing from his spot in haste as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"I don't have fucking have kinks! Why is everything sex oriented with you?!" he growled. It at least sounded mean, but Sora couldn't tell if it was anger or embarassment that caused the pink to paint Riku's cheeks. They were practically in the same boat at that moment. Sora hopped to his feet a little more slowly as he cleared his throat.

"Your face and clothes say otherwise. A tumble in the dirt never hurt anyone, y'know."

Sora's eyes flickered from the dragon to the shifter. Dirt not only covered the forest green tank and his washed out jeans, but it was clinging to his glossy skin. Had he been sweating the whole time? It was a clear sign for how long he had actually been hiding out here. His mind instantly caught up with the words Axel had said, spurring the vampire's hands into motion as he patted the dirt from his blue tee and khaki pants as quickly as possible.

"So, when did this happen?" asked Roxas, one hand on his hip while he gestured between the two of them with his other. But neither of them answered the blonde.

"When did what happen?" Ventus came through the sliding door, eyes jumping from Sora, to Riku, then to his brother and Axel. It didn't take long, as smart as he was compared to the rest of them, for the older twin to notice they were standing in the bushes, Riku still covered in dirt, and the playfully malicious grin on the redhead's face.

"Oh, nothing. We took a stroll in the woods. Been trying to get this guy to play some cards. Now that we're all here again, we can play together!"

"Uh, about that. We have to leave. The house. Honestly, we could go to Traverse Town. They have a bar there and lots of entertainment compared to here, right? I say we find a place there," Sora announced, clapping his hands together as he tried to put on a cheerful face.

Everyone glanced at each other before shrugging and muttering in agreement. It was probably the best choice, seeing as bad luck had followed them in this town already. Roxas and Ventus more than likely didn't want to be here any longer than they had to. Riku dusted himself off, flicking chunks of dirt from his shoulder as Sora passed by him with a newly spreading fire to his face. In the depths of his mind, he had wished the shifter didn't come along. But another part of him, the most curious part that had surfaced since the competition, was trying to barrel over that feeling.

They separated and gathered whatever they had brought with them quickly. It didn't take long for the five of them to meet in the foyer, with Sora pulling out the bright red traveling card. He held it up to the door, remembering how Riku had done it, and a bright door appeared once again. Once on the other side, his bright blue eyes wandered around, taking in the open space before them. The sky was dark, but the town was illuminated with a display of lights hanging off every corner. Spinning on his feet, Sora faced the others behind him, unable to fight the smile of excitement claiming his mouth.

"So, find a hotel. Then we can go out drinking! Wait..." The vampire paused as a sudden thought occurred to him. "Can we even get drunk on human stuff?"

Axel slid an arm around his shoulders as Roxas chuckled off to his side. Leading him to the left, a hand waved toward a small bustling bar as they passed by.

"You see, Traverse Town isn't like the other towns in this world. The Headmaster wouldn't just go and build a place for people like us in the middle of a bunch of regular humans," he started.

"Yeah. Twilight Town is a little different. There's a good number of people with powers in that town, but they chose to settle there for a normal life. The adults know about us, but they've been teaching their children for years that we're just storybook myths. It's like walking on eggshells there, but it's possible," explained Roxas.

"Traverse Town is another story. It's like the grungy graffiti paint in a bathroom stall compared to the other places on this world. It's the poster child for anything shady, honestly. But don't worry, nothing like... traumatic," Axel said, quickly reassuring Sora when a worried look pulled at his face. "Let's just say, everyone and anyone is welcome to be themselves here. There's no secrets. To get to the point I was initially going for, they do have mixtures for people like us. So yes, we can get drunk in this town."

Blue eyes took in the alley they walked through just before they stopped at a door. Axel led the way through a small hallway before they arrived in the main one and headed toward the front desk off to the left. Ventus cut in front of them to get the rooms, leaning on the desk toward the older lady with a charming smile. Sora let his eyes wander the halls, seeing how exuberantly decorated the place was. It only took a few short minutes before Ventus was back with three keys.

"They only had three rooms available. Red, Green and Blue," he stated, holding up the three keys, which were color coordinated to their names. Apparently numbers weren't enough for these guys. They went with colors. A brief thought about what other colored rooms they had entered the brunette's mind when Axel reach forward and snatched the red key from the older twin.

"Of course, we'll be taking one," Axel piped, pulling Roxas into his side. "I vote Riku and Sora share the blue room. Maybe they can finish-ow!"

Axel jerked forward from the force of Riku's fist to his shoulder, extracting a short laugh from the blonde at his side. Riku plucked the blue key from Ventus' hand before heading down the hall on his own without a word. Sora looked toward Ventus, lazily shrugging a shoulder.

"It's cool. We can definitely share a room. No weird stuff, I promise," he threw at him casually. Honestly, there wasn't any problem believing him. Plus, there hadn't been any signs that would make it weird, anyway. That was just between Sora and Riku for some reason.

The brunette stretched his arms out as he followed Ventus into their room. It was definitely a green room, there wasn't a doubt. The walls alternated between two shades, one dark and one light. Even the blankets on the two beds were a deep forest green and the pictures hanging on the walls were nature themed.

"So, should we get something to eat or just crash for the night?" he asked as Ven settled his bag near one of the beds.

"It's already night. Nearly one in the morning. I say screw it, let's just go get a drink and relax for the night."

His stomach did a giddy flip as they headed out the door and back the way they came when they first arrived. They didn't even wait for the others - if they wanted to go out, they would meet up with them eventually. As the pair found themselves approaching the bar, Sora glanced at the menu posted behind the counter. A list designated for the supernatural caught his attention as he read the names in his mind.

Dragon's Breath Punch, Pixie Dust Beach Colada, Banshee Nightmare, Succubus Dreams, Zombie Guts.

Sora couldn't help the faint hint of heat creeping through his cheeks at some of the other names he'd read. He looked over it again, unsure what exactly he should order. So he looked to the blonde next to him, nudging him with an arm.

"Are these really made with what's in their name? I don't know which one to get..."

"'Course not. Witches are known to make the brews used for your kind, so it's mostly just a mixture of whatever plants, herbs and whatnot that won't kill you," he explained easily. "Even though I've never tried any of them - I've stuck with the normal stuff - the Pixie Dust one always seemed good. It comes out in some sort of white and blue mixture."

"Are you even old enough to drink?"

"Lenient on the rules here. As long as your eighteen, you're free to do nearly everything."

When it was their turn to order, each of them stated their drinks and waited patiently at the side as a thin girl with flowing red hair mixed the drinks. Within seconds, she passed them over and they handed over the money before moving away. Lucky for them, a group had just up and stumbled away from a table, allowing the pair to swoop in and claim their seats.

Sora hesitated at the misty drink of front of him before taking a long draw from it. A mix of flavors exploded in his mouth, fruity and intoxicating. The best word to describe it - definitely magical. It wasn't until he felt a hand on his arm that Sora realized he was sucking down the liquid as if it was a glass full of blood.

"Calm down or you're going to get trashed before you even relax." He casually drank the orange beverage in front of him, eyes glancing around the crowd. No doubt was he looking for his brother, Axel or Riku to show up. "So what was that thing earlier, anyway? About you and Riku."

It was like his face couldn't take a breather from all the attention. Sora nearly choked on the liquid in his mouth before he recovered quickly, stirring the straw around in his glass.

"It was nothing. I swear. Riku said he had been hiding from them all morning. Something about a card game and shady stuff. He didn't want to be found, so I ended up hiding in the bushes with him," he answered without looking up.

"Why didn't he just leave you alone and pretend you weren't there?"

"I don't know." Sora thought about it for a minute. "Maybe all the noise I made. He apparently knew where they had gone, so he probably didn't want them snooping around the back yard. Unfortunately, they found us anyway. Just bad timing."

They changed the subject, talking causally as they finished their drinks and ordered another one. Eventually, Roxas and Axel found them and took their seats at the table. The conversation lightened even further, with a few quips and embarrassing moments told about Roxas. Sure, it was easy to pick on him. But when the younger blonde brought up the fact that Axel had nearly burned the forest and half of the Academy down due to a dare involving the hottest pepper in the world, the table erupted with laughter.

Sora's eyes wandered around as he finished his third drink of the night, wondering if Riku was going to show up. He hadn't necessarily agreed to go out drinking, but part of him expected him to at least partake in the festivities. He had been the one that agreed getting out was for the better of everyone.

"I'm gonna go see if Riku is coming or not. He should at least have a drink, if he isn't sleeping anyway," Sora suddenly piped up. The others only waved at him in the midst of the story telling, as if it was totally normal to happen.

Normal. As the brunette stood, swaying lightly on his feet, he thought about the words. What seemed like forever ago, but in reality was only a few short weeks, he hadn't known a soul and had planned to keep it that way. As messed up as his mind was, Sora hadn't wanted to drag anyone else into his personal drama. His parents were suffering enough for it - at least, the vampires who took him in and raised him. His real parents were six feet under, a wonderful reminder.

Sora's feet shuffled against the ground as he neared the door to enter the hotel, his mind still touching on the new memories he'd made since his arrival at the Academy. Roxas and Ven had been the first to talk to him - befriended him - against his own wishes. Axel was just always there, a spark that couldn't die down even if somebody wanted to try and snuff it out. It was charming, in a way. Then there was Riku. As dark and broody as the wolf was in the beginning, the last week or two had really shown a different side to him. Sora wasn't sure if it was purely the fact that they had all just rubbed off on him, or maybe he had given up fighting everything. Ever since the competition, he had treated nearly everything differently. And he hadn't heard anything about him fighting his wolf, either.

As that thought lingered on his mind, the vampire found himself standing in front of the blue painted door. He had found a possible solution to his own so-called psychosis problem, lessening the troubles he'd had in the past several years. It was only plausible that Riku had finally done the same. He just wondered what it could be.

"What are you doing?"

Sora blinked once, twice, before looking to his left and spotting Riku as he stood with his arms crossed over his chest - as always, it seemed. He felt his mouth open to explain, but none of the words in his head formed into words. Sora snapped his mouth shut and swallowed, piecing his thoughts back together before he tried again.

"I just thought...a drink. We were out having some. Thought that maybe...you wanted to come out, too." He cursed at himself in his mind as he tripped over his words.

"You know it's four in the morning, right?" he quipped lightly as he raised a brow at at the brunette.

"What?"

He could only stare at him as he registered the time. Then he noticed that something was off about the shifter. Then again, there was probably something off about himself, too. The alcohol buzzing through his body reminded him of that. Just when Sora was about to say something - anything, really - the shifter moved forward. He grabbed at the brunette's arm before throwing his door open, pulling him inside before closing it and slamming Sora against the wall. The breath left the vampire's chest as he tried to keep up with the events. It was only when Riku was standing right in front of him, his eyes glowing that lighter sea foam green, that it seemed to register how close he really was. Sora heard him grumble something under his breath. It was a miracle he couldn't hear it, seeing as he was only a mere few inches away. He blamed it on the deafening roar in his ears, where ever that had come from.

"What?" He hated sounding like a broken record.

But instead of answering with words, the shifter had taken a hold of his shoulders to hold him still. The brunette felt a flash of confusion cross his face as he did. It wasn't like he had tried to move. But in a second, all of it was wiped from the front of his mind. Riku had leaned in quickly and Sora felt a surprised gasp fight in his throat as he felt a mouth press roughly against his. A sweet scent reached his nose before he realized it was coming from Riku.

What is that...?

The thought was cut short when the shifter pulled back. He felt the sweet-smelling breath across his face. Seconds ticked by as he stared at him, as he felt something slowly twist in the pit of his stomach and reached up toward his chest.

Sora felt his body shudder as he released a sharp breath, as if his body had a mind of its own. His hands lifted, roughly grabbing at the forest green tank as he pulled Riku back toward him. Inexperienced as he was, their mouths clashed together. But the shifter didn't seem to care. It was almost as if they were devouring each other, like long lost lovers who hadn't seen each other for years.

His hands moved to Sora's head, his fingers delving into the brown locks before giving a light tug. Their lips separated from the action, pulling another gasp from the shorter boy's throat. But it was only momentarily before Riku came back with fervor and a demanding tongue that swept inside of his open mouth. A high sounding moan involuntarily found its way from Sora's chest as he realized he was flush against the wall, trapped between it and the taut, warm body of the shifter. The khaki pants he was wearing suddenly began to feel uncomfortable as he felt his body react. It was obvious Riku was reacting the same way, as his erection was pressed right against his hip.

At this point, Sora wasn't thinking at all. He was only reacting. His mind was fuzzy as it was, but this was feeling too good. The finer details didn't matter at all, especially when his hands wandered from Riku's chest to the hem of his shirt. Sora slid his fingers under the fabric, feeling the toned muscle underneath. As his thumb passed over the shifter's smooth navel, feeling the light sweat beginning to form on his skin, the brunette felt those muscles tighten. As he steadily worked his fingers upward, he felt the fingers leave his hair and grab his wrists, pinning them against the wall at his sides. Riku moved his mouth to Sora's ear, where his warm breath heated his skin. Everything was so sensitive all of a sudden.

"Don't move."

His voice was low and husky, kicking up the slow building heat in the pits of the vampire's belly. Even more so when the shifter lowered his mouth below the line of his jaw, near the curve of his shoulder. A sudden flash of déjà vu hit him as he realized it was nearly the same spot as his dream. Sora couldn't control his unsteady breathing as he felt Riku's tongue brush over his skin. His hands twitched under the shifter's fingers in reaction, earning a tight squeeze from him to remind the brunette not to move.

"Riku..."

Sora wondered what he was doing. It had gone from something so fast paced and sudden, to something extremely slow. Maybe he had realized what exactly it was that they were doing, causing Sora's mind to do the same thing. He moved his head, barely, tilting it in a way that exposed his neck more to shifter. But he was just able to see the glow of the shifter's eyes move toward him, even as he heard the click of his teeth snapping together with a throaty growl.

In a dizzying moment, he was suddenly facing the wall. Sora had managed to free one of his hands, slamming against the dull blue of the wall before his face collided with it. Riku's fingers tightened around his hip and pulled the vampire back flush against him. Despite the fact that the shifter's erection was pressed up against his ass, Sora felt a jolt to his libido.

He liked it.

He felt a curse at the tip of his tongue when he felt Riku's fingers graze the front of his pants, reaching for his belt, but Sora couldn't manage any words. His tongue was stuck to the roof of his mouth, which only made another moan to come from his throat. Sora felt him lean forward. The familiar wetness of his tongue sliding up the nape of his neck sent a numbing tingle down his spine as the brunette forced himself to breath.

In the moment that Riku bit softly, his fangs descended. Something snapped in him. Sora's fingers flew to the hand at his belt, prying them off quickly and shoving the silverette away as he spun around to face him again. His breath was heavy and uneven as he stared back at Riku, knowing he undoubtedly saw that the shorter vampire's fangs had appeared in the faint light from the window.

The brunette didn't waste another second before he threw open the door and left. He tailed it quickly down the hall into the room he shared with Ventus. Glad to see that he hadn't came back quite yet, he dashed into the bathroom and locked the door behind him. Sora leaned over the porcelain and attempted to recollect his thoughts. Even as he tried, there was a painful reminder in his pants. He debated on relieving myself right then in the toilet, but it didn't make matters better. In the midst of it all, what had caused him to run away, was the fact he had wanted to drink from him. His blood. Feeding wasn't normally sexualized. There was nothing sexy about it. But something had triggered it despite the interaction they shared.

"Fuck me..." Sora muttered as he backed himself against the wall and slid down to sit on the floor.

The brunette sat there for nearly forty minutes, his mind in chaos over what was to come later in the day. If Riku hadn't been trying to avoid him or hate him much before, he definitely was now. As exhaustion weighed on him, he decided the thoughts were better left for some other time. It was nearly six in the morning and he hadn't slept yet. Pulling himself from the floor, Sora left the bathroom. Ventus was curled up in his bed, a light breathing coming from his mouth that told the brunette he was sound asleep. Collapsing in his own bed, it didn't take long for sleep to come over him.
