Only several minutes later, as the assassin's still incapacitated, the group all went down to his hideout to look at his body.

"Is he dead?" Lil asked.

"No, Mom and I incapacitated him," Kimi answered. "So.. you guys gonna help me interrogate him?"

They all agreed and began to tie him up and try to wake him up for answers... but to no avail. He wouldn't wake up no matter how hard they tried to. At this, Phil managed to find a bucket, fill it with water, then splashed it on him, getting him to gain consciousness.

"Good morning, sunshine," Phil told him, but the assassin just gazed at him. "He's all yours, Kimi."

She glared at him for a brief moment. "Why'd you do it? Why'd you kill my dad, you son of a bitch?" She began punching the assassin's face left and right multiple times in order to get him to crack. But he didn't budge.

"You wanna play tough? You got it, asshole!" Kimi said with determination before grabbing his pistol off the table and held it at his forehead. "I could kill you right here, you know."

"I'm not easy to kill..." the hitman told her before breaking free from his hand restraints and swiftly knocked everyone out. Soon after, he simply walked out.

Ten minutes later, the gang finally woke up, regaining consciousness... but Mike's nowhere to be found.

"Where's Mike?!" Kimi yelled in anger.

"He must've escaped," Chuckie told his sister.

"He's that good at hand-to-hand combat, we couldn't take him down," Angelica added.

"I'll kill that fucking bastard!" Kimi raged in anger before she broke down sobbing. Lil just comforted her now... She could feel what Kimi's been through at the news of her father's death.

Phil spoke to her softly. "Kimi... don't worry... we'll find him. I assure you of that. We'll make him pay for killing your dad."

"H-h-how?" she sniffed. "He's... basically a g-g-ghost..."

They all sighed, knowing she's right. It is impossible to find him. No one could track him down without getting killed the instant he thought someone was on to him. But they promised to do their best... at least without dying in the process.

A week passed by, and yet the group had no luck in finding the assassin. Even his safehouse was completely empty. He must've moved to another secure location.

"Man, it's been a week and Mike's nowhere to be found," Tommy commented.

"I told you guys this man's a phantom," Lil added. Then she turned to Kimi. "We're out of ideas, Kimi. His underground safehouse is empty; now it's nothing but an empty tunnel... not to mention full of sewer rats."

Kimi sighed. "I guess you guys are right. You all did your best, but let's face it. Only God knows his exact location... Let's just all go home."

They all sighed and apologized to the Finster girl for failing to find him. And they all returned to their respective houses. When Kimi and Chuckie returned, she wasn't in the mood for talking to anyone. Not even her parents. She just went straight up into her room and locked the door.

"Kimi?" Kira said, looking concerned.

"She's real steamed about not finding Mike. We searched for the past week... and no luck," Chuck explained.

Kira sighed. She felt the same loss and anger as her daughter. Mike was responsible for his death, and she wouldn't stop... not until at least, she heard an explanation from him... then she'd decide whether she'd forgive him or not. "It's alright, Chuckie. Go wash up for dinner."

That night as they finished their pizza dinner (as Kira wasn't in the mood for cooking), Chuckie comforted his sister, who was still silent since she came back. "Kimi... I don't know how long you wanna stay like this. I know what you've been through... I lost my mom when I was a toddler, before I met you."

Kimi scoffed. "But it's different, Chuckie! Your mom died of cancer... My dad was killed! Killed! That assassin we all befriended with has to die, whatever the cost!"

He knew the death of his mother and Hiro's murder were two completely different deaths. So he just rubbed her back to comfort her. "He'll explain one day... I can tell."

Kimi just sniffed, ready to break down. "Maybe... he will."

The next afternoon, Kira was alone at home. Her husband Chas and her kids were off to the Java Lava as usual. Then, to her attention, she heard the doorbell ring. But as she opened the front door, her face was deadpanned the instant she saw who it was... A familiar man, in his suit, his face was as stoic as usual.

"What are you doing here?" she dryly asked Mike.

"That's not.. the right question," he responded, his tone rarely changed.

"You must be here... to kill me."

"If I was going to kill you I would've done it while you were walking to your car this morning, and you'd be gone by the time your body hit the sidewalk."

She knew he was right. "Then why are you here?"

"To talk. But Kira, if you make me kill you, you will not die alone."

From his tone, Kira knew Mike wouldn't kill her... unless he's provoked. She let him in, hoping to hear an explanation.

"All I need... is an explanation to why you killed Hiro," she told him with determination after they took their seats, with her on the armchair and 9068 on the end on the sofa.

"Your husband back in Japan... he was a good man. The client who ordered the hit on him turned out to be a powerful member of a Yakuza gang. But he was also eliminated eventually..." Mike simply explained, feeling zero remorse for the life he took.

"So you killed my husband just like that?" she asked. She wanted to avenge her husband, but she couldn't...

"I never question the job; I just do it."

At this, Kira broke down sobbing for a lenghty ten minutes... and Mike simply got up from the couch and walked towards the front door.

"Before you leave... can you tell me the name of the Yakuza leader?" Kira curiously asked the hitman.

Mike didn't face her to answer. "Hayomoto... but he's already dead like I said."

At that, he opened the door and left. Kira went up to her room to mourn for Hiro while holding a photo of him.

"If... only... we never divorced..." she sobbed. She felt the regret of having to divorce with him before her flight to Paris years ago. But then something came to her mind.

'Why would Hayomoto want Hiro dead?' she asked herself. For all she knew, Mike was only contracted to eliminate crimelords and terrorists. Her husband was never involved in any criminal activites. Just then she heard a pair of footsteps approaching.

"Mom? You okay?" asked a voice that belonged to Kimi.

" ...Yes... just... give me some time alone..." Kira sniffed.

"I just saw Mike walking out... Did he do something to you? Are you hurt?" she asked, concerned.

Kira opened her room door. "No... he just came to give me some information. The name of the man who hired him to kill your father. That man's dead too, but at least now we can investigate."

"But why would this Hayomoto guy request Mike's agency to perform a hit on Dad?... We're missing something..." Kimi wondered. She and Kira took another look at the contract... which revealed something interesting.

"Take a look, Mom. He claimed Dad to be a crime lord. So when Mike's agency sent Mike to perform the hit, all of Dad's posessions and assets fell into Hayomoto's hands. Meaning, Mike killed him thinking he was a Yakuza crime boss..." Kimi pointed out.

"But why would they think that on the first place? Your dad had no links to the Yakuza."

"You said Dad had a ton of assets... which means..." Kimi started

"Which means what?" Kira asked, confused.

"Hayomoto wanted to take control of the assets but Dad refused to cooperate... Which is probably the reason he ordered the hit and framing him as a Yakuza crime boss," she explained. "So... It wasn't entirely Mike's fault he killed Dad; he only carried out the contract."

"But he still killed him!" Kira told her. "I want him dead!"

Kimi nodded with agreement. "I'll have the rest of the group to take him down."

Kimi dialed the rest of the group to meet at the Java Lava. When they all gathered she made an announcement. "Okay people. We're taking another shot of finding Mike."

"Again?" Phil groaned.

"We searched of an entire week," Angelica added.

"This man's a ghost... a phantom," Dil finished.

"If you guys don't wanna help, then fine! Mike's gotta pay for his actions!" Kimi huffed. She wanted the hitman dead, but they all knew it was a risky job. At last they joined in the search... for their friend.

Three days passed by, and this time, Chuckie spotted Mike in a parking garage on the fifth floor.

'Ah, yes... death awaits for you,' he mused to himself before entering the garage and making his way to the fifth floor. However, as he approached the assassin, Mike felt his precence as he just stood there.

"Finster..." he noted dryly.

"How'd you know? Anyways, I'm here to take you down for murdering Kimi's dad."

As Chuckie engaged in a hand-to-hand combat, he managed to grab Mike's 1911 in an attempt to shoot him. But with his supreme training, the assassin quickly disarmed him, striking his chest and blowing a bullet in him.

Chuckie was weakened at that point. "Please... spare my life..."

If he wanted, Mike could execute him on the spot, just putting a headshot on him. He wouldn't care. He felt no remorse about taking the life of his friend if he was forced to. But for some reason, he just left the Finster boy there to bleed out, and he simply walked away.

Moments later, Angelica arrived at the garage only to find her boyfriend bleeding out, which teared her up.

"Chuckie? Chuckie!? Oh shit!" She tried to wake him up, but to no avail; he passed out by that point. "I'm gonna get help!"

She dialed 911 for an ambulance... and minutes later, Chuck was en route to the hospital, still unable to wake up.

"Hang on, Chuck... we're almost there..." she said in tears. While Chuck's a hand-to-hand fighter, he couldn't take Mike down despite the fact that he's not even visually ripped.

At the hospital, Chuckie's escorted to the ER. Angelica waited out in the hall with her friends (as she dialed them earlier). Five minutes later the doctor popped out of the ER.

"How's Chuckie, Doc?" she inquired.

"His ribs are mostly on the minor side. There was a bullet hole in him, with two more fractured ribs. But his internal organs are on the fine side. We will move him to be recovered."

As they witnessed Chuckie being moved by the nurses, Angelica broke down. Lil and Susie comforted her, while the rest comforted Kira and Kimi (who were also in tears).

"Who did this, Angelica?" Tommy asked.

"It... was.. Mike..." she said in between sobs

They all gasped at hearing that.

"...He was responsible for this?!" Kira's voice raised, angered.

"Yes..." Angelica sighed.

It was getting late by then. Visiting time was over. They all would come back tomorrow to check on him... But at the same time planning to put a bullet in Mike. This was unforgivable.
