It took the group nearly five weeks to finally track Mike down. It wasn't overly surprising to them though; the man was practically nonexistent... not to mention he moved to another hideout. But obviously Kimi and Kira wanted revenge regardless. The nerve he had, assassinating their only loved one and felt zero remorse after.

They knew it was a dangerous job. They'd might as well be dead if the assassin thought they meant harm. Chuckie was almost killed when he encountered the man, but luckily he spared his life. Charlotte sent two professional killers to track him down, but were killed. Kimi tried to dial his number, but no answer.

After another twenty minutes of searching, Kimi recieved a phone call from the French man Jean-Claude.

"Hello?" she answered.

"I think my men have found his location," he told her. "But be careful. Zis is a very risky job... it could cost jour lives."

"Don't worry. Just send me the location and I'll take care of the rest."

At this, the man sent her Mike's secondary safehouse location.

"It's like an underground bunker," Phil commented.

"Yeah, like the other one, except that was a sewer," Lil added. "You sure you want to do this, Kimi?"

"To avenge my dad, yes..." she blatantly replied. They knew she was serious by her tone.

"We'll have to distract him while I'll jab his neck," Angelica told them.

In the bunker, Mike was cleaning and oiling his weapons. His keen senses picked up footsteps coming downstairs, almost too late to be unseen. He was skilled at his profession after all, and he quickly moved behind a pillar, his pistol locked and loaded.

As they approached the underground bunker, their hearts were pounding, fearing he'd kill them. They made their way into the interior, where they finally spotted the barest edge of what appeared to be boxes of supplies.

"He's not here," Tommy said.

"Probably he's hiding somewhere," Chuckie told them.

As they searched the area, Mike was behind the pillar, his 1911 loaded and ready to eliminate whoever got close with ease. As Tommy was only two steps close to him and turned around, the hitman saw his chance and snuck up on him.

"Tommy! Look out!" Chuckie warned. As this happened, the hitman grabbed the Pickles boy, using him as a human shield.

"You shouldn't be here," he told them, pointing his 1911 on Tommy's head, ready to pull the trigger. His tone was even and calm, his rather light British accent a stark.

"I know. This is the second time this happened," Lil told him. "Now let him go."

He said nothing as he shoved him with his left hand, his 1911 on his right. "You're more better than this."

"Why are you protecting us when you killed Kimi's dad?" Angelica asked in an effort to distract him.

"I promised to keep you safe. I keep my promises."

"But you sent me in a coma," Chuckie told him.

Mike didn't say anything in response. He tried to keep his honor intact despite his profession of murdering bad men, be it terrorists or globally corrupt people who couldn't be touched by governments. He was all business.

At this, Angelica was right behind him as she jabbed the poison needle in his neck.

"Argghh! Bitch!" he yelled.

"Sorry to do this to you, Mike, but with you dead we all can live peacefully," she told him. "You killed Hiro, and you threatened to kill my mom. Who will you kill next? Us?"

"You killed too many people, even the ones who didn't deserve it," Kira added.

They all backed out of arm's reach until he collapsed. Seconds later JC's men arrived and secured his dead body, and Kira's smartphone rang with him in the ID.

"You finally killed him, well done," he said.

"Get to the point," Kira ordered.

"He will be cremated tomorrow. I vill zend jou ze location," he said before clicking the line off.

She looked at the dead asassin. "This is for my husband."

Kimi sighed in relief. "At last he's dead. He can't come after us again." The others agreed as they sighed in relief.

The next day arrived, and the gang along with Kira and Charlotte were at Jean-Claude's crematorium in preparation for the funeral.

"Well, just a few more minutes before he's cremated to ashes," Phil whispered at the sight of the dead man, resting in peace and his pistols on him.

Just then Jean-Claude approached them. "I know how hard it is to take a life from a person. And I understand that. He will be cremated within a few minutes. His ashes vill take pride of place in my mantel. Ze world's most nefarious assassin is dead."

He excused himself to get the chaplain to start the funeral. At this, Lil overheard his conversation on the phone.

"...He vill be cremated and you can have jour revenge on that girl Finster and her parents. Jou vant me to kill ze others too? Fine, I vill kill them as jou say so."

"Guys, I just heard Jean Claude's conversation. He's gonna kill us too," Lil warned them as she returned.

"I knew he was a double crosser," Kira said. "Only one plan..."

She applied some lipstick on her, which contained the antidote to the death serum, and kissed the dead assassin on the lips before slipping a note in his suit pocket. By that point, the gang all secretly left.

Twenty minutes later, Jean-Claude and his men were ready to commence the funeral... except that the gang wasn't present.

'I thought they wanted to watch him die,' he thought to himself. 'No matter then... What's important is zat he is dead.'

Five minutes into the funeral service as the chaplain was talking, the antidote managed to revive 9068, much to their surprise.

"What the..." one of the guards exclaimed. "He's... he's alive!"

The hitman was back to life, his pistols in his hands... and he started blasting everyone in the room. Some of them panicked, others tried to open fire on him. But eventually he managed to kill them all, leaving a massive bloodbath, even Jean-Claude.

Only several meters from the firefight, the gang cringed at the sounds of the gunshots.

"Okay, he's back... what does that means for us?" Tommy asked them.

"I dropped a note on his pocket, so he knows what happened. He knows we killed him but also that we brought him back, so... at the very least, he won't come after us," Kira told him.

"We still need to get outta here though," Kimi told them. "He might kill us by mistake."

They knew she was right, and they got in the cars and drove as far as possible away from the cemetery.

Once he was satisfied that everyone was massacred, he noticed a piece of paper on his suit with Kira's handwriting on it. He opened the letter.

Dear Mike,

If you are reading this letter, then you know that we have revived you and that we are truly sorry we killed you. Jean-Claude is planning to kill the rest of us if you are cremated. Kill him for us... please... for our sake.

Kira

His facial expression said nothing at all as he slipped the note back into his pocket before disappearing for a while.
