Summary:

Naruto stops trying to exorcise the demon, for now.

Naruto was sitting on the bed and Itachi was still knocked out behind them. Sasuke was glaring menacingly at him from the foot of the bed.

"So you're telling me…" Naruto swallowed a lump on his throat. "That you're a ninja from the hidden leaf village."

Sasuke nodded.

"And that you woke up in this world without magic?"

"Chakra. Not magic."

"Right. Charka."

"Chakra."

"Right." Naruto nodded. "And you think that by touching things and people related to Sasuke from this world, you'll be able to piece together clues about what happened to you and how you ended up here?"

"That's all I have to go on so far."

"Right. Of course. Totally makes sense." He sounded sarcastic.

"I don't care if you believe me. I can do this with or without you."

Naruto rolled his eyes. "Because clearly—" He motioned at his sunburned, half naked body and at Itachi lying unconscious behind them, "you did such a wonderful job alone."

"That was a test run."

"And what exactly would you do differently now?"

Sasuke gritted his teeth. This Naruto also had the innate ability to make him angry. "I'd travel with my sharingan to look for someone in this world with chakra since I can't teleport with my rinnegan." That's what he had done last time and it didn't work, but Naruto didn't need to know that.

"You're going to drive around town in a sharigun?"

"Drive?" Sasuke tilted his head.

Naruto deadpanned. "Not this again. Your plan is to walk around town with a gun?"

"Not a gun, a sharingan." Sasuke activated his sharingan to illustrate.

It was the wrong move.

Naruto leapt up out of his seat, too terrified to scream.

"It's a sharingan. It alone is all I need to get back."

Naruto seemed to hesitate for a moment, his eyes looking at Itachi and then back at Sasuke. Naruto meditated for a moment and finally after what looked like the world's most frustrating inner monologue he spoke.

"So that's a magic eye, but you're not a demon?" His voice was even, calm almost.

Sasuke rolled his eyes. What went through his mind?

This was so ironic coming from Naruto—who had the nine-tailed fox sealed within him in his world. "I'm not."

"You just expect me to believe that you're from a world with magic and shit?" Naruto squinted his eyes suspiciously at Sasuke. "You're totally a demon."

"I'm human." He sighed. "I have chakra that allows me to perform jutsu."

"Chakra, the magic shit, of course." Naruto seemed convinced for a moment.

He stared at his hands and then back at Sasuke. He let out a long sigh. He looked like he was about to speak again when suddenly he stood up and marched towards a closed door inside the bedroom.

It was a bathroom, he opened up the medicine cabinet and pulled out a small orange container. He poured out the pills inside it and started counting them frantically.

"What are you doing?" Sasuke was standing behind him now, but Naruto ignored him and continued counting.

"You're missing two doses." He held the container in his hands and shoved it into Sasuke's chest. "You're off your meds and you're…" His voice was almost a whisper and his eyes looked panicked. Naruto furrowed his brows. "But no. Even without medications you wouldn't be able to scale a building…" He looked like he'd cry again.

Sasuke snatched the pills from his hands, and again he saw a vision.

It was him, he looked like a teenager, and he was sitting in an office with a man he didn't recognize. He was answering questions and the man was nodding along, he took out a small pad from his desk and started writing something down.

"My medication." Sasuke read over the label. He didn't know what it could be for, but based off Naruto's reaction it was probably something bad.

"Are you telling me the truth?" Naruto's eyes were watery. "You're not a demon? You didn't hurt Sasuke?"

"I'm not a demon. I didn't hurt anyone. I'm just trying to find my way back to my world." He paused and looked at Naruto. "And it'll be faster with your help."

Naruto looked at the man before him. It was obviously not Sasuke. He had seen it scale a building and it had those red eyes that the real Sasuke had nightmares about.

It's obvious he… IT needs me. I just have to play it cool. Keep calm. Play along with it until I can find someone who can read the stupid books and exorcise it. Nothing else matters except getting it out of Sasuke's body.

Naruto swallowed the lump in his throat. "F-fine. I'll help you."

Sasuke smirked at Naruto, and just as he was about to say something they heard Itachi's voice.

"Sasuke?" He was at the door now. His eyes focused on the medication. "What's going on?"
