Naruto cleared his throat.

"Itachi, I was just making sure that he's taking his medication." He signaled at the pile of pills on the counter and smiled brightly. "He is. Not a single day skipped."

Naruto lied so quickly that Sasuke wondered if he had done this often.

Naruto took the bottle from Sasuke and started placing the pills back into the container.

"That's a relief, but I saw him jump." Itachi's voice was firm.

"What do you mean?" Sasuke's voice was even. He had decided that he wouldn't involve Itachi in this. At least not yet.

"You jumped." Itachi stepped into the small bathroom and grabbed Sasuke's shoulder. "You jumped off the balcony." He looked like he was about to cry again.

"I didn't jump." He mumbled.

"I saw you! You jumped off the building, and…" He peered into his eyes. "There's something different about you and it scares me."

"I didn't jump. Look. I'm here, aren't I?" Sasuke shoved him off and stepped over him. He made his way to the kitchen and washed his face in the sink. Seeing Itachi was too much for him, even if it wasn't the Itachi he knew.

"Sasuke, please don't lie to me." Itachi was in the living room, looking over at him from the counter. "Are you high right now?" His voice was barely a whisper.

He groaned. "I didn't jump. I got locked up in the roof without my phone." He ignored the latter question.

Itachi didn't look convinced, but he still rummaged in his pocket for some keys. He knew that when his brother was like this, the last thing he wanted was to see him around. He turned to Naruto, who knew that perfectly well. It was best if Itachi left whenever Sasuke got like this.

The two smiled at each other, they had an unspoken bond when it came to caring for Sasuke. "I'll entrust him to you Naruto, but please don't hesitate to call me." He looked at his brother once more. "Same for you. Call me if you need me. I'm always here for you."

Sasuke nodded, avoiding looking into his eyes. The last thing he needed was to see his own eyes reflected back at him on his long-dead brother.

Itachi patted Naruto's shoulder and Naruto gave him a warm smile and a thumbs up. "I'll take care of him don't worry! Tell the Misses I say hello and tell the brats that they still owe me for that little stunt they pulled on Christmas eve!" He huffed.

Itachi laughed and waved. "I'm sure they're very sorry."

Naruto rolled his eyes. "You know they're not."

Itachi hummed to himself. "I'm sure they are." He didn't sound convinced.

Naruto looked at him with a incredulous smirk, and Itachi laughed. Sasuke felt sick watching the interaction. It didn't feel right to see this. He turned on the faucet and stuck his head underneath it.

"Should I call Sakura?" Itachi asked. He was at the door and Naruto was holding it about to close it and lock.

"Nah. He's fine. Just a sunbu—"

"Call Sakura." Sasuke commanded. He whipped his head up and water flew everywhere.

"I need to see her."
