Enter Sakura!

Naruto had his arms crossed as he sat in the living room with a huge frown on his face. "If I call her and she's at work, you're going to have to give up on seeing her."

"Make the call." Sasuke commanded.

"If she's at work she's going to be angry."

Sasuke leaned over the sink and stared at Naruto with indifference. "I'll call her myself." He wasn't bluffing. He was fairly confident he could figure out how to use a phone.

"No!" Naruto's eyes were wide. "I'll call her, but if she's busy or if she doesn't come in, you're just going to have to deal with it."

He uncrossed his arms and huffed. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. "She'll be super angry." He took out his phone and looked at Sasuke. "At you."

Sasuke looked incredibly annoyed. "Call."

Naruto closed both eyes and meditated briefly. "You're not scared of her?" He opened one eye. "Like at all?"

"Why would Sakura scare me?" He was still in the kitchen, his hair still dripping wet, and still leaning over the sink.

Naruto's mouth fell open. "You're really not the Sasuke I know, huh?"

Sasuke didn't bother replying. He had told him a million times already that he wasn't.

Naruto clicked his tongue. He pulled out his cellphone and dialed. "Sakura! Hello, would you come to Sasuke's? Yeah. Yeah. I know you don't do house calls. I told him that. If you're at work no worries—"

He listened for a moment, and Sasuke could hear Sakura grunting in frustration on the other side.

"I'm not going to drop everything just to see him." Sakura's tone was harsh.

"You're right Sakura. It was dumb to call you. I'll let you go now."

There was a pause on the other line.

"Naruto, has he been taking his medication?"

Naruto didn't hesitate for an instant. "Of course he has Sakura. He's doing so much better now."

Sakura groaned from the other side of the phone. "You're lying to me!" She sounded more disappointed than angry.

"Lying? Me? S-Sakura. C'mon…"

"I'll be there in twenty."

"You what? Saku—" He looked up shyly. "She hung up." He sounded defeated. "Are you sure you want to see her looking like that?"

Sasuke didn't answer. He continued walking around the apartment inspecting it.

Naruto just sat on the couch and watched in silence as he rummaged through the apartment looking for clues. "Tsk. My Sasuke's way more talkative."

Sasuke rolled his eyes again for the millionth time since this morning.

"And why didn't you ask Itachi to help you? You sent him home immediately." Naruto was giving him a dirty look. "Are you only trying to sacrifice people your age?"

"I told you I'm not a demon." Sasuke rubbed his forehead. Naruto had sat down quietly up until now and he desperately wished for those moments back. "And you saw how he passed out over a simple jump. I can't have him around fainting."

Naruto frowned again, completely unconvinced. "Just don't even try to lay a finger on Sakura." He warned.

"What is my relationship to her?" Sasuke hadn't even realized he was asking, but curiosity had gotten the best of him. He was aware at this point that they weren't married, but he hoped they were at least close.

Naruto shifted awkwardly in the couch and remained quiet for a moment before answering. "Well... she grew up with us too and we went to the same university. She left the state for med school, and she just transferred back to the hospital here about a year ago."

Naruto hadn't answered his question. "And, what's her relationship to me now?" He repeated, slightly more annoyed than before.

"To you?" Naruto looked confused.

Sasuke had to resist the urge to scoff. He looked at him pointedly and Naruto shifted uncomfortably in his seat. His hesitation made Sasuke's stomach drop. "Well, I mean I gue—"

The door suddenly busted open and Sakura stepped in. She marched into the living room and glared at Naruto. "He better be fucking dying to justify making me worry enough to come all the way out here during rush hour after my 12-hour shift!" She turned her glare to Sasuke. "And if you're not dying, I'll kill you myself."

Sasuke sighed.

Why do they both make their entrances like that?
