The first class with Professor Snape was surprising. Snape, who thought Harry was just like his father, started by asking Harry some very hard questions. When Harry couldn't answer, Snape was more than happy. However, he was quite surprised when you boy-who-lived concocted him a perfectly prepared potion. As much as he hated him, he couldn't find any flaw in the way it was done. That makes Severus quite confused, but Harry had a plan. He had spent the last evening brewing potions with George and Fred and a 7ht year girl to make sure Snape couldn't criticize him. He was quite tired, but for now it was worth it. At the end of the class, Harry decided to live fully with his Gryffindor side to go face to face to his potion professor and ask him directly :
"Professor, is it real you're the only one in Europe who can brew a drinkable Zombie Potion ?"
When telling the story later, Fred and George had to explain that not only Snape really is the one in Europe who can brew this particular potion, but he is also, at least he thought, the only person to know about it. The formula was written in a dark book in the library restricted section, which is obviously why Fred and George knew all about it.
"Mr. Potter, even if you were right, which you are, how do you even know this particular potion ? This is dark magic"
"To be honest, I heard a lot of good things about your potion skills yesterday and I thought all of them couldn't be real. So I asked you. You now have all my respect, Sir. Have a nice day."
Severus Snape was confused. As much as he hated the boy for his manners, he was scared that Lord Voldemort had indirectly influenced him to be fascinated by Dark Magic. Secretly, Severus was proud of his potion reputation in the school, especially in the Gryffindor House, but he would never admit it.
