Chapter 5

Kate and Ana were dressed and ready to go downstairs in the garage. The guys called and said they were 10 minutes away. They were waiting when Ana heard a familiar horn. "My car! Oh my gosh it even looks new." Ana hugged Elliot tight and Christian got a little jealous.

Elliot winked at him. "I fixed the engine, but when I attached the bumper, the paint didn't match. That's the closest color I could get." Ana beamed, "I love it!" She hugged Elliot a second time and Christian frowned even more. Ana gave him a kiss on the cheek and whispered, "That's for hitting me." Then she winked at him.

They all climbed in Elliot's truck. Elliot and Kate were up front and Christian and Ana were in the back. Kate was excited her last relationship ended after two years, he cheated on her and Ana had to console her for a week. Ana didn't have those problems, because Ana never had a boyfriend. "Where are we going?" Christian spoke up, "I planned the date, even though he's driving. No one is allergic to seafood right?" Christian waited and heard, "No."

He told Elliot to drive, "We're going to the Lobster. It's a restaurant near Santa Monica. I figured we could walk the pier or the beach or both." Ana had lived in California her entire life and never went there. They found a good spot to park and walked to the restaurant. Ana saw Elliot grab Kate's hand and was almost jealous until she felt a strong hand grab hers.

They sat down at the table. "Order whatever you want. I heard we have a celebration." Christian winked. Elliot ordered King Crab Legs, Kate asked for Grilled Scallops, Christian went with the Gumbo, and Ana asked for crab cakes. "Christian if I order a side of lobster Mac and cheese, will you help me eat it?" Christian winked, "I've got you! Cheers to my girl getting the job!" Everyone heard it and Kate smiled a big ass grin. Ana blushed thinking, "My girl."

Over dinner everyone's secrets came out. "Ana, careful with that one, he's the playboy of the family." Ana immediately tensed up and Christian felt it. "Ana, don't worry. That's because I casually dated and I've never had a long term girlfriend, like this one who had 1 high school and college sweetheart." Kate looked at him and saw his sadness. Her longest relationship was only two years. Ana was more depressed since she had zero.

They enjoyed the meal and then walked the pier. Kate pointed, "We have to ride something." They all agreed to walk off the meal first. They stopped and watched performers, looked at the vendors, and Christian bought Ana a Santa Monica T-shirt. "Think of me when you wear it." They rode the Pacific Wheel first, "Oh my gosh, it's tall."

Christian grabbed Ana's hand and they sat next to each other. Ana smiled as he put his arm around her shoulders. She took a selfie and a picture of the ocean. "Can we go to the beach?" Christian smiled, "I already have it covered."

After that they hopped on the scrambler and some bumper cars. Elliot loved picking on Christian, but it was all in fun. "Christian you should be good at this. Ana, bump him back." Christian rolled his eyes, "Whatever man! I got a date and you got one too." They all had a good laugh at that.

Elliot and Christian were total gentlemen, they bought these beach mats to sit on the sand. Ana pointed, "What are those for? Christian held it up, "I thought it would be cool to sit and watch the sunset." They finally got to the sand and Ana picked it up in her hand like a little kid. "Have you ever been to the beach?" Ana shrugged, "Yeah, but a long time ago and never here." Elliot and Kate walked down further, but they were still in sight. Christian laid the mat down, "Come on sit with me."

Ana sat next to him and felt the sand between her fingers and toes. Christian grabbed her left leg and started slowly rolling up her left pant leg, then her right. Then he rolled his own up, "What are you doing?" Christian stood up and pulled Ana to her feet and hugged her waist, "We're going to feel the water and sand on our toes. Hop on my back."

Christian took her to the ocean and the water was cool. It splashed on their feet and legs, even a little on their jeans. "Christian!" He took some water in his hand and threw it up, "I'm wet!" Christian laughed, "You'll dry. I promise." They walked some, found some shells, and made their way back to the mat. Ana couldn't stop smiling.

Christian heard what she said about the accident, but he wanted to know more. "So I told you about my family, what about yours." Ana shrugged, "I told you about my grandparents and dad." Christian frowned, "What about your mom?" Ana sighed, "Christian, your story has a happy ending. I don't want to bring us down. My mom isn't like your mom. Let's just leave it at that."

Christian promised it was fine. "Hey, it's how we get to know each other. Ana, trust me my family isn't perfect." Ana understood that from watching Kate deal with her father. Sometimes things weren't as they seemed. "My dad and his parents were good people and my mom, not so much. It's kind of like those repetitive cycles of bad. Her mom was bad, which made her bad. I'm breaking the cycle."

Christian nudged her, "See you have a happy ending too." Ana explained, "My mom blames me for getting sick the night of the accident. We were all supposed to be at the function." Christian shrugged, "But you all could have died." Ana shook her head, "Things were hard after that. She received money from the army, but she used it pretty and on all the wrong things. Money was hard to come by after that and my mom is all about money. On my 17th birthday things went to the point of no return for us."

She had Christian's full attention. "Apparently my grandparents didn't think much of her. A lawyer came to see me and explained he had all my money for college or to get me going on my own. He didn't say it, but the way it was written, my mom couldn't touch it." Christian knew, "I bet that pissed her off." Ana laughed, "Oh yeah!" I left, went to school, met Kate, because she was my roommate, and didn't get so much as a phone call for 4 years."

Christian shook his head, his parents would never. "Hey, I get it. My other grandfather disowned my dad. Would you believe my dad is from Bel Air?" Ana looked up with her mouth open. "Yep, he had money, but no love. Money isn't everything. My mom's parents took him in when they got pregnant with Elliot. My mom was only 16. They slipped up again two years later with me. Family can be crazy. I guess that's why my parents worked so hard with us."

Ana was a little shocked. "So did she finally call you or did you go to her?" Ana finished, "She called me. I was just too naive to see it. I had been staying with Kate and feeling like a user and she said I should come back. When I got there she asked for money. I told her I didn't have a job yet. She called me dumb and every curse word with the statement in two months I couldn't find a job. I left to go back to Kate and you hit me."

Christian pulled her in his lap, grabbed his phone, and took a selfie of them. "Ana, are you on Facebook?" She laughed, "Of course and Instagram." Her phone buzzed with a friend request and once she accepted she saw the picture he took. "What are you going to tell all those girls falling at your feet when they see that picture?"

He rested his chin on her shoulder, "That I'm off the market." He kissed her cheek and never let her waist go while the sun set. Ana looked over like it was a competition with Kate and Elliot, "Do you wish that was us, because they're about to make a baby." Christian laughed, "He better not, my parents will kill him."

Ana heard him, but she also could feel Christian's hardness under her. She wasn't dumb. As nice as Christian was, he was experienced. She wasn't ready to tell him she was a virgin. She wasn't ready for the fairytale to end. "Christian, I don't do this." He turned to look at her and they were so close but he still didn't make a move to kiss her lips, even though she was begging for it. He smiled, "You don't do what?" Ana was frustrated, "This! Date! Sit on the beach and watch the sunset!" Christian smiled that smile, "Well, now you do."

They walked back towards the truck and Ana saw the funnel cakes, "I haven't had a funnel cake since I was six." Christian grabbed her hands, "Well, let's change that." Kate dragged Ana to the swings, while the boys stood in line, "How's it going?" Ana rolled her eyes, "He's amazing, too amazing for me. It's like a fairytale and I don't belong in it. Meanwhile you were making a baby."

Kate shook her head, "If you think we were close to making a baby, we need to talk." Ana looked to make sure they weren't coming, "Kate, he was hard. I felt it when I was in his lap." Kate giggled, "Jesus Ana, that's a good thing." When the boys came back they heard, "Are you two laughing at us?" They just giggled, "No." They enjoyed the funnel cake. Christian fed Ana and blew powder away from her face. Ana immediately felt a dampness in her panties.

On the way back Ana fell asleep on Christian. Kate looked back, "Oh boy, I hope you're strong. Once she's asleep, she's out. No goodnight kiss for you Christian. Kate was right. They reached the condo and Elliot parked. Christian held Ana bridal style, while her head rested on his chest, "She's a lightweight. No problem."

Kate watched him carefully as he placed her onto her bed. Christian pointed, "Her clothes?" Kate stepped forward, "I have it Romeo." Christian handed her the huge Santa Monica T-shirt. "Will you put this on her for me? I want her to think of me when she wakes up." Kate needed to drop a few hints for him, because Ana needed to go slow. "Christian, you need to go at her pace. Ok?"

Christian nodded. He already understood the situation. "Can I give her one kiss goodnight?" Kate smirked and held up a finger, "One!" Kate gave Elliot a much longer and deeper kiss. "Family dinner on Wednesday ok?" Kate agreed for both of them. "Christian can I speak to you for a minute?" Elliot headed to the truck.

She was going to say this and leave it alone. "Ana is my family and has been for the last four years. She didn't care that I was a spoiled immature brat complaining about living in a dorm, when it was like a palace to her. She taught me a lot and made me grow up. As mature as she seems, she is delayed in some areas. Don't pull her along, tease her, or ever hurt her Christian, because I will kill you."

Christian smiled, "I only have good intentions, I promise." Christian started walking away, "Oh and same goes for my brother. Kate, I am the playboy, but Elliot had 1 girlfriend from high school and once they went to separate colleges, she partied and he didn't. She broke his heart and he doesn't really date anymore. He must think you're special, because I haven't seen that guy in a while."

Kate went in and changed her best friend, who never woke up. She put her in the blue Santa Monica T-shirt, with the wave on it. She pulled it down and it came to her knees. She was completely knocked out, but Kate talked to her anyway. "Ana, it's a good thing you don't drink." She brushed her long brown hair back and placed her on the pillow. "I love you Ana and I'm pretty sure Christian does too."

The next morning Christian and Elliot showed up with groceries. "Surprise! We kept you out after the sun went down, so we came to make you breakfast." Kate winked, "Men that cook, I like it." They ate together and Christian whispered, "I love the shirt!" Ana blushed, "I definitely thought of you this morning. The girls showered and they spent the Sunday together shopping for Ana's new job. Christian tried to buy everything, but Ana refused. She did give in and she let him buy her blue flats that matched her eyes.

They took the girls for a quiet dinner. When they dropped them off, Ana asked, "When are you going to kiss me?" Christian smiled, "I already did, but you fell asleep and missed it." Ana bit her lip and Christian gently pulled it down using the pads of his thumbs. "You have to stop doing that, it's way too sexy." Christian leaned in and kissed her softly on her lips. He didn't use his tongue just yet, but he made sure to suck her bottom lip slowly while he pulled away. "See you in the morning. Goodnight Ana."
