Kae was feeling good. Really really good. Their initial plan to collaborate as a class to skate through unnoticed failed (she was definitely going to rub it in Monoma's stupid face), but in the end they managed to get two class B students into the otherwise class A dominated tournament.

Kae Iitoyo and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu.

Obviously she and Tetsu teamed up for the cavalry battle, since they worked well together and hyped each other up easily. When it came time to selecting students to enter the tournament in place of those who resigned (stupid, but she could understand), it took a lot of work convincing Ibara that Kae could handle the competition, which was a little insulting, but Kae wasn't going to say anything about it. She had bigger things to focus on. She'd be facing off against Kaminari and even more interesting, her best friend would be squaring off against the boy she'd been stalking for the past few days. Strange shudder's went down her spine at the thought.

Tetsu urged her to join in on the pre-tournament mini games, but try as she might to focus on winning, her nose kept drifting to a very familiar scent. In his eagerness to best class A, Tetsu didn't comment on her distraction, though he did throw intense glares her way when she didn't move quick enough.

It was very hard to keep her mind from wandering once she caught Kirishima's scent. Every time his scent wafted by her, her nose drifted towards him and the rest of her body would follow, which was more than a little embarrassing considering she didn't even know the guy. Internally, she was still struggling to accept that he was the same boy that helped her all those weeks ago. The more she thought about him, she realized that she absolutely did have a crush on. Kae slapped her hands against her cheeks to cleanse her thoughts of boys and crushes, startling Kendo who simply shook off her strange behavior. She was beginning to get used to the cat girl's antics anyway.

With the games finally over, class B sat in their designated area in the stands, eagerly awaiting the start of the tournament. Some more than others. "Tetsutetsu, Kae, you two better do your absolute best to properly represent our class and show those class A hogs who's the better class!" Said girl tried her best not to let Monoma ruin her good mood. "You're one to talk, Monoma. Your plan to skirt by the festival unnoticed totally blew up in your face!"

"It would've worked if that barbarian Bakugo didn't go ballistic in the cavalry battle!"

Unsurprisingly, Tetsu was the one who tried to calm them down. "Chill out, man. Kae and I got this! We'll show them what's what." Kae was grateful when Kendo came by and forced the blonde menace to sit down and shut up. With Tetsu next to her, Kae was mildly shocked by the first two fights. Finger destroyer Midoriya by some grace of god managed to win against Shinso who she thought had the fight in the bag; next, as expected, Todoroki was an absolute beast. She doubted anyone who went against him would win easily.

All too soon, it was Kae's turn to battle. "Good luck, Kae! Kick his ass!" Tetsu cheered.

"From class B! This kitty has claws, it's Kae Itoyo!" Cheers erupted in the stadium and the cat girl made a show of flipping her hair over her shoulder with a clawed hand before settling her eyes on her opponent.

"What do you say you and I go out after this? I could comfort you after your loss. Cuz this is gonna be over in two seconds honey." Kae laughed prettily, tilting her head as she took him in. "How 'bout I take you out? Don't be so sure you're gonna win, pretty boy." He seemed to falter a bit, but that didn't stop him from leaning forward and generating electricity. She was screwed if he hit her with his electricity. Her plan against Kaminari was simply evade, evade, evade. From what she knew about him, he'd short circuit if he overused his quirk, and that point was her only chance to get close without the risk of incapacitating herself. With her quirk, she'd be able to reach him before he gathered enough electricity to attack her with, but she didn't trust that she'd be able to take him out without putting herself in danger too. It was best to let him tire himself out first before getting close.

Her muscles tensed as yellow sparks continued to gather around him. "Indiscriminate Shock-" Kae crouched to the floor, her arms moving back as she prepared to move. She'd have to be careful not to get hit, and she didn't think he had enough control over his quirk to land precise hits. "1.3 Million Volts!"

The girl sprung high into the air, as high as she could, and laughed at the confusion on Kaminari's face as her hair whipped around her face. From her spot in the sky, she could indeed see that Kaminari's all out attack was only in one direction and his face was quickly beginning to take on that famed 'dunce face' look those support students told her about. "You're a bit of a one trick pony aren't you?" She called down.

She could feel herself about to descend, but she didn't think it was much of an issue now that she could see him faltering. With a feral grin, she twisted so her nose was pointed right at him. Even in his delirious state she could see the panic on his face as she neared him. He didn't have much time to defend himself. The crowd watched as the girl descended on the stunned boy like a bullet, tackling him to the group a with a hard roll. Spectators waited with bated breath to see if they boy would retaliate, but he made no movements against the cat girl as she held him against her chest. She had an arm locked around his neck where his chin was nestled uncomfortably in the crook of her elbow. With the hand that wasn't holding him hostage, she extended her claws and let them hover dangerously close to his mildly panicked, dazed face. He definitely short circuited.

"Kaminari is unable to continue. Itoyo wins!"

Releasing him to the medic bots with a smile, Kae couldn't help but tease. "You were right Kaminari. It was over in seconds." As she left the stage, she turned to call over her shoulder, "We'll talk soon about our date, okay?" Chuckling to herself, the girl returned to the stands with a self-satisfied grin.

"You did great Kae!" Tetsu congratulated her when she returned to her spot beside him the stands. "Thanks, Tetsu," Her grin widened when she realized. Kirishima's scent was still there. He hadn't left the stands in the time of her match. Good, she thought. She'd like him to see her show off her quirk. Honestly, there really wasn't much else she could do in that fight except wait Kaminari out. She doubted she'd be lucky like that in the future. Watching the next match with rapt attention, Kirishima's scent temporarily forgotten, Kae felt herself begin to zero in on Iida. Tail high in the air, she shook Testu's arm. "Man, check out that guy! If he wins, we're gonna have one hell of a match. I can't wait!" Despite the support class girl's cool inventions, he did okay holding his own for a while. The bespectacled boy was quick on his feet, that was for sure. They were both lucky Hatsume decided to let him take the win in the end. Their match was gonna be one hell of a show, she could already feel it.

And if a few spectators happened to be impressed by her then too, she wasn't going to complain. Edgeshot Agency popped into mind, maybe even- Kae abruptly slapped her hands to her cheeks to shake the intrusive thoughts away. There was no time to fantasize about mysterious boys who may or may not be an imposter or secret evil doppelgänger. She was here, first and foremost, to absolutely kill it in the games and become a great hero. That's it.

But if he was impressed than that wouldn't be so bad either.

When it came time for Tetsutetsu's match against Kirishima, Kae was a little conflicted. She obviously wanted Tetsu to win, but her heart wasn't completely in it considering who he was up against. Still, she had a duty to her best friend. Leaning dangerously over the stands, made her decision, not that it was a difficult one to make. "Kick his ass, Tetsu!" She didn't notice Jurota glance at her curiously.

Unfortunately, both boys were evenly matched. Her heavy tail began to lower nervously as she watched the two exchange blows. "C'mon Tetsu!" She watched at the two throw punches that would have given any other student severe concussions, but with their quirks, the hits were softened enough to keep them both in the game. "C'mon, c'mon..." Tetsu was her best friend, her other half, the yang to her yin, and he was nowhere close to getting an advantage over his redhead counterpart. Who may or may not be the actual love of her life. Okay, that was taking it too far, but he could be! There was just no way to tell without coming clean about stalking him for days to figure him out, and there was no way she was ever going to disclose that information. If he truly was that chivalrous boy from the entrance exams, then he'd totally be grossed out by her inquisitive behavior. Even Jurota said she was weird for doing that! No, no way was it ever going to happen.

All too suddenly, it was over. Her jaw dropped when they both boys collapsed after a simultaneous blow to the cheek. "I can't believe they tied..." she breathed out. In a daze, she watched the medic bots gather Tetsu and Kirishima as Midnight announced a tie breaker after the last match. She got up to follow him, but stopped when Tokage gripped her wrist, "He'll be fine, Kae. He'll want you stay and watch the next match."

Kae shook her off, "No one else has anywhere to go. You guys have it covered. I just wanna make sure he's okay." Tokage smiled and reluctantly let the cat girl go. It was simple enough tracking down the scent of metal. She'd gotten to know his scent pretty well and found him in Recovery Girl's temporary station. "He's fine, dearie. A little nap and he'll be right as rain." Kae took a seat by Tetsu's bed and took his clammy hand in her own, keenly aware of the other boy who laid unconscious on another cot beside her best friend.

He stirred at the feel of his hand in hers, blearily looking up at her. "Dammit Tetsu...you totally had him on the ropes!"

"Kae?"

She squeezed his hand. "Yeah its Kae! You expecting someone else? Huh?"

Tetsu chuckled good naturedly as he pulled his hand away to sit himself up. "So who ended up winning?" he asked. He steeled himself when her words rushed out of her mouth, she could hear Kirishima begin to stir at the sound of their voices.

"Neither of you. You'll have a tiebreaker after the last match." Tetsu punched his knuckles together. "I'll win this time for sure!"

"Class B represent!" she said in response. It was good to see her best friend still in good spirits after his botched match. They chuckled together before Kae stilled suddenly when she heard Kirishima's breathing change subtly. He was awake. Quick as she could without alerting her friend, she stood and began to walk out. "I'll see you later okay? Kendo's gonna chop me if I don't get back soon."

"Sure, sure, I'll be out of here soon." With a final wave, Kae silently snuck out, but not before the boy she was trying to avoid caught a glimpse of her tail.

As soon as she was out the door, she clutched her hand to her chest. Why was her heart beating so quickly? Her palms were even sweaty and she felt breathless when she thought Kirishima was about to catch her hanging around in the recovery room he shared with her friend. It wasn't even about that anymore though, she hadn't been so close to that scent since the entrance exams and there was no other explanation. She squished her cheeks together to keep the heat from rushing to them. No need to be hasty, she told herself. Even if his scent was eerily similar, there had been subtle differences she hadn't been able to pick up before, but now that she'd gotten close to the source, she was able to spot them.

More information was required to determine these findings.

While they waited for the quarter finals, Kae managed to slip away from her friends to sneak into Class A's viewing area. After Tetsu lost his tie breaker (he took it gracefully), Monoma decided to ruin the atmosphere by losing his head and yelling insults at the other class over their dividing wall until Kendo had enough of him and dragged him down. It was a little too convenient for Kae, but it worked perfectly.

She made no sound as she walked up behind the group of students. "Hey, Kaminari." The group of boys jumped at the sound of a stranger's voice. Turning to see who'd spoken, Bakugo in particular narrowed his gaze at the girl he caught stalking Shitty Hair the days leading up to the festival. She disappeared mysteriously after he pointed her out, but he knew she'd be back.

And here she was.

"The hell are you doing here? Spying?" He rudely asked her.

She laughed. "Not at all! I already know everything about you guys." She took her time pointing at each of them, "Kaminari, Bakugo, and," she turned slowly to the red haired boy to Bakugo's right. "Kirishima." Her gaze lingered on him for a few moments, and he noticed her nostrils flare a bit while she stared. "Sorry for sneaking up on you. I had to or else Monoma would've thrown another tantrum."

A girl with large round eyes and dark green haired turned to her, "You're Kae Itoyo right? The one who beat Kaminari."

"Oh c'mon I couldn't attack a cute girl-"

"She totally beat you," she deadpanned.

"I'm here to collect," Kaminari shivered when he felt Itoyo's tail brush against his neck. The cat girl pointed to the other girl, "Tsuyu Asui."

Bakugo's glare hardened. She knew a lot about their class, too much. "You class B wannabes tried it earlier and it didn't work so get outta here."

Kae didn't let his rudeness get to her. She'd already heard all about it, he only confirmed it himself with her speech at the beginning of the festival. "Oh no worries, Like I said, I'm just here to confirm a few things. If you're really worried, maybe Kaminari can give you all the details after our date." Her large cat like eyes flickered back to Kirishima, who began to speak up. "Hey, don't I know you from somewh-" She abruptly cut him off by turning to Kaminari. "So? Wanna give me your number?"

"What seriously? Hell yeah, here ya go!"

She smiled brightly at the blonde, "I said I'd take you out if you lost, and I'm a woman of my word." They exchanged numbers quickly. "Try to keep this on the low okay? Monoma's a freak about you guys and I don't need him getting on my ass about this." She stood up with a small wave and snuck away the same way she came.

"Somehow losing doesn't suck so much now that I've got a date!" Kaminari sighed dreamily into his seat. In the hallway behind the viewing areas, Kae let out a girlish titter at what she'd just done.
