Fibi's eyes barely hold themselves open as her subconscious reorientates itself from the fall. Pieces of the ancient temple lay in shattered ruins about her, clouding the air with suffocating dust. She glances at her hand to see that it's torn. She sits up weakly as she lets out a moan of pain. " I didn't think Silas would do THAT." She remembers how her brother threatened to take down the whole structure if she tried to attack him. He's become corrupted by a Biometal that Fibi has never seen before. " It looked like Biometal Z, but a bit different... How does it have this much power?" She hears a distant laugh and jolts to her feet. She wearily glances around, trying to see through the wall of grey fog.
" Fibi, I know that laugh." Zero's spirit tells her. " You better be ready."
" Are you sure she can handle him?" X's spirit asks.
" She has to be, and I think she is." Zero says. " If Vent could, then she can too. Besides, it's only the Biometal, which isn't as strong."
" Yeah, and this is my brother we're talking about." Fibi says to them. " He wouldn't hurt me." Her words echo with uncertainty in her mind. Would he hurt her?
The laugh gets louder and louder until it plays out right behind Fibi. She whips around, dash jumping backwards away from the new foe. It's Silas, but with a new plate of armor. It's no longer Biometal H, but a new one. It looks like some version of Zero, one that she's only seen in books. The red armor pulsates with a purple glow, emanating with the strength of a thousand warriors. A pink saber rests in his left hand, and a steel crimson buster dominates his right. His eyes are no longer a friendly blue, but a devastating red. His expression is no longer of determination, but of sheer insanity. When he speaks, his voice is infested with a horrible scratching sound that makes him appear to be a demon. " Poor sister, you never know when to quit, do you? I told you I'm now able to do far more than I ever could before. Perhaps if you listen to me, I won't have to kill you."
" Silas, what're you even talking about?" Fibi says. " You aren't acting like yourself at all..."
" The Biometal, it's changing his mind. That's its greatest power." Zero says.
" I have found a new purpose with the encouragements of this Biometal. It has told me things that the Resistance never wanted to. It has shown me the true way to make a paradise of this wretched world. And sadly, I don't think you'd agree."
" Well tell me then, and we'll see."
" Absolute authoritarian rule. Strict standards that shall never be broken, so no criminals can ever make themselves known. Freedom is only an excuse for tragedy to occur, only total rule allows for safety, and with safety, comes true happiness." His words bounce off the walls and ricochet inside of Fibi's head, pounding against her skull. Her subconscious wants to believe him, but she tries to resist.
" That's bonkers, Silas. You don't believe that, do you?"
" You think Omega is warping my mind? No, it's only releasing my real passions! I was too afraid to fight for my own beliefs before, but now? I have the power. And I'll show you what it can do."
" Don't make us do this, Brother, please! We're siblings."
" So? Familial blood never allowed for bondage. You know this. If you can't see the true way to paradise, then you must go." He prepares himself to fight, holding out his shining sword of death.
" I can't believe you..." Fibi lets out a shaking sigh. " This isn't how I wanted to prove to you that I'm as strong as you are..."
" But you must stop him." X says. " Zero and I have dealt with him twice, and he's..."
" Not easy, but not impossible. You can do this." Zero says. " Just remember: Keep a clear mind, and victory will be yours."
Fibi and Silas stare into each other's eyes, trying to figure out what their paths really are. The dust dissipates as they both launch towards each other, each one feeling a storm of emotions.
The winner will decide the fate of the galaxy.
