The sky was dark, deep grey clouds went on for miles, threatening to open up and pour rain down on those on the ground. Stephanie was bent down on a rooftop, watching and waiting as Jason took care of two lowlife criminals. The way how he knew what was coming fascinated her, he moved with such precision and even though it was two to one, not one attack landed on him. It didn't take long before they both ran away and Jason stayed there, leant up against the cold brick wall, smiling up at her.
Ever since she first met Jason, he had an aura about him, she wanted to get to know him, learn from him, and find out anything she could about him. Every time she tried to get close, she noticed he held everything close to himself, as if someone was going to rip it away from him. He was captivating, intoxicating, and he held the beauty of a broken angel.
Stephanie ventured carefully, getting to know him slowly, making sure that he had every chance to walk away if he wanted. But every time, he stayed, he talked to her, his answers never truly giving away anything. Stephanie held back, afraid of what Jason would think of her, she was warned that getting to know him was dangerous but it didn't take her long to be entangled, wrapped around all things Jason, and she couldn't get enough. He was like a drug and she wanted more.
The day that Jason held his hand out to her Stephanie took hold of it and felt her whole body shiver at the contact. Her mind swam with unintelligible thought, he heart pounded in her chest, her hand was warm, and the contact sent sparks through her body. It didn't take Stephanie long before she began to question who she was, she was more than she thought and she knew Jason knew that too.
She wanted to learn how to fight the way Jason did, move her body like nothing could hold her back. Stephanie wanted to train with him, be taught by the best, and one day she hoped she could show him how to win without killing. It didn't take long before they became encompassed with one another, sharing every little detail of their lives with one another. Jason was Stephanie's one flaw and she didn't care, every beat of her heart screamed his name and she couldn't get enough of him. She knew she was Jason's fatal sin, the one person he allowed into his life and Steph knew that he would do anything for her.
She could feel the sting deep within herself, she knew that Jason was dangerous but she didn't care. She could deal with the pain if anything were to happen. She would fight for him until she could feel the burn under her skin, she would fight until she could fight no more.
Stephanie would put herself to the test, do everything she could to prove that she was strong, strong enough to be there for Jason, and she didn't care what anyone else thought. She heard people talking behind her back but it didn't deter her. She knew her feelings for Jason were strong, she knew she loved him with every ounce of her being and she knew that he loved her, would do anything for her and she wouldn't let anyone tell her that what they were feeling was wrong. She knew that Jason could see into her soul like she could with him and they both knew what was inside of one another and they were broken but together they were whole. Their love was strong and unwavering. Together they could be soft with one another, let their walls down, hold each other close but inside they were both warriors, ready at a moment's notice.
At times while lying next to Jason late at night, wrapped in his arms as he softly snored, Stephanie closed her eyes and felt her mind race. Her thoughts raced, they merged together, and certain memories from her past resurfaced, people warning her about Jason, her father hitting her mother, and when it got too much, she couldn't separate the lies from the truth, her memories getting stuck in the world her mind created.
That's when Jason would hold her a tighter, calming her down as the silent tears streamed down her face. With his help she pushed through, breathed more evenly and it was when she knew that Jason stood resolute with her. Their love was equal, their bond unbreakable, and when they look into each other's eyes they know that seeing is believing.
