Hi guys! Thanks for checking out my story, I hope you enjoy it! I wrote it in different perspectives, just because I thought it'd be fun. I won't be doing this for my other chapters though. Thanks again!

Narration

Peach wandered her castle walls, thinking about her latest kidnapping. She had been taken by Bowser yet again, except this time he had help from his Paper version. It had turned out a book in her castle attic contained a whole other world, where everything was paper. She had gotten to meet her own Paper version, who she begrudgingly had admitted was more capable than her. Eventually, they had all been returned to their own world, and peace was restored. As she wondered further down the halls to her attic, so she could see what other mysteries could be found up there, she heard a cackling from the walls. Her shadow distorted as the cackling grew louder, and it eventually rose out of the ground. A darker version of herself stood before her, with a black dress and rubies in place of her usual sapphires. She had a long cloak and a high collar, making her hair look shorter.

"W-who are you?" asked Peach in a scared voice.

"Paper Peach didn't tell you? That's disappointing..." she spoke in a sarcastic tone. "It matters not who I am, as we will be acquainted soon enough... What matters is who you are..."

"What do you mean?" Peach whimpered.

"All will be revealed soon..." this darker Peach said ominously. Peach's head felt like it was spinning, and she felt immensely dizzy. She then woke up in her room, her normal room with a normal shadow.

"It was just a dream..." she muttered. "All just a dream..."

"Yesss... All just a dream... Nothing more..." a voice spoke to her in her head, though it wasn't hers. It should have panicked her, but it oddly made her feel more relaxed. She left her bed and tried to think of other things, but the dream always slept back into her head. What did it mean? Who was that other version of her? What did Paper Peach have to do with it? "It meant nothing... Just a dream... Nothing else..." the voice came again, as she felt calmer. She looked at the time, and realised it was time for her solo tennis practice. The dream would have to wait...

Princess Peach

I was wandering my castle walls, thinking about my last Bowser kidnapping. It had been a bit unusual this time around, as a Paper world that had been contained in my dusty old attic had been unleashed on ours, meaning there was 2 Marios, Bowsers, and 2 versions of me. Paper Luigi appeared once or twice, but was generally unseen. Though I was kidnapped, I had a lot of fun with my Paper version. There world was eventually returned into the book, and order was restored, but I still wanted to see what other mysteries might be in my seldom-visited attic. As I grew nearer, I noticed cackling inside the walls, as my shadow grew and distorted until it was rising from the ground in front of me. It morphed into me, but much darker looking and generally threatening.

"W-who are you?" I asked in a tiny voice, scared out of my wits.

"Paper Peach didn't tell you? That's disappointing..." she spoke in a condescending and sarcastic tone. Between this darker me and Paper me, I was beginning to wander if I was at all an original person. "It matters not who I am, as we will be acquainted soon enough... What matters is who you are..." She told me, and I felt more scared than ever before.

"What do you mean?" I feebly whispered.

"All will be revealed soon..." she smirked. My vision blurred as I felt incredibly dizzy...

I woke up in my room, and I took a quick glance at my shadow. It was fine, thank goodness. "It was just a dream..." I told myself. "All just a dream..." I said as I slipped out of my bed.

"Yesss... All just a dream... Nothing more..." a voice spoke in my head. I felt like I should have been panicked, but it for some reason calmed me. I tried to shake the thoughts about my dream. No matter how much I tried, however, I always went back to the same questions: What did it mean? Who was that being? What does Paper Peach have to do with this? "It meant nothing... Just a dream... Nothing else..." the voice spoke again, as I relaxed even more. I looked at the clock and realised it was time for tennis practice. I pushed away the thoughts about the dream, and picked up my racket as I went to the court.
