Tramp snapped himself out of his thoughts.
"You're over that now." He heard himself think.
Just as he was settling his mind down, he heard Jim, "Darling! Could you fetch Scamp and Angel? Their new owners called to say that they're coming soon!"
At this Lady had to leave the room, to hide the dam that broke inside of her eyes. Tramp looked after her sadly, then he looked over to Scamp and Angel and let his mind drift once more.
Jim Dear filled a bath up, while trying to gather his thoughts.
Scamp somehow gets off the chain, runs away into the town, returns briefly, takes our Independence Day chicken? Strange. Disappears again and then comes back, probably because of Tramp, and brings this stray home with him.
"So simple, yet so confusing." He muttered to himself.
Suddenly Darling walked in, "Junior is absolutely obsessed with that dog! He can't get enough of her."
"So I suppose we're keeping her." He let out in a sigh.
"Why wouldn't we?" She asked, concern quickly forming on her face. "She and the other dogs are getting along quite fine and she seems very friendly, if a bit shy."
Pacing now, he responded, "It's just, we don't even know where she came from, just that she's clearly a stray, who seems to have befriended Scamp...speaking of Scamp, where on Earth did he go!"
"Oh Jim. You're overthinking it." Darling tried in a soothing voice.
"Am I!" He got even more frustrated. "He ran off twice, the second time is still unexplained and what about those other dogs, was he apart of them?"
Darling sat, listening to her husband vent out frustration for another 10 minutes or so, before even he had tired himself out.
"Jim you'll flood the kitchen." She simply told him, while pointing to the dog bath over flowing with water.
He let out an annoyed grunt and began to clean up, Darling took this as an opportunity to speak.
"Scamp was probably scared when he ran off. He's growing up, but still our responsibility, we should be glad that he came upon that little angel, otherwise who knows what might have happened to him. Yes, keeping her will be a huge responsibility, but we can handle it." She stated the last part, rather firmly.
"You have a point don't you?" He relented at last. "She'll be staying with us."
"I knew I'd get through to you." She said with a grin on her face.
"Yeah, yeah... we should get to naming her. Any ideas?"
"Not quite yet, there's no rush right?" She said with a shrug. "I'll bring everyone in for a bath, I have the nicest red ribbon to try on the little angel."
