"They're stronger together right? Right. They love each other."

He knew that from the moment Angel arrived, she'd had nothing but a positive influence on his adventurous son. When Scamp ultimately came back home for good, it was because of Angel's love and care. The fact that she had been looking out for him on the streets, made some of the guilt of almost losing his son fade away. The very next day, Scamp seemed to find himself in even more trouble and it was the thought of Angel being there with him that comforted him.

"S-c-a-m-p. Scamp. Yes, yes..." Tramp overheard Jim on the phone. "...attacked? By another dog?" Now Tramp was shaking with worry, how could he have allowed something else to happen to Scamp so soon? Jim's conversation continued, "Was there another dog with him?...small, golden? There is?..." At that Tramp was able to exhale, at least he knew that Angel was with his son. "Alright, I'll be there soon."

Tramp quickly left after that part and the first thing that went through his mind was, "I need to tell Pidge..." He cut himself off midthought. He loved his Pidgeon, he really loved her, but he knew just how worried she could get, especially when it came to one of her own.

Peeking into the living room, he saw her lying peacefully with her daughters on the carpet. Thinking fast, he figured the best way to get the word out was to just say it, but when he opened his mouth to speak, he found himself uncharacteristically fumbling his words. "Uhm-Pidge, you awake?"

She looked up at him with slight annoyance, but responded in her usual polite way, "I am. Is something wrong?"

He took a deep breath and explained as calmly as possible.
