"Rumors about the No. 1 Hero, All Might, becoming a teacher at UA are finally proved true. During UA's lunchtime, reporters had gotten through UA's security wall. No one knows how or who helped, but there are speculations of a–"
"Calm your shit, Moji. Speak slower and take deep breaths," 18 year old Himura Inari speaks into her phone, pausing the video on her laptop. She lifts the camera to her face and takes a picture of her suspect. Children scream and laugh while they play at the playground behind her.
"Aneki. You have to investigate the reporter breach here. At UA," 16 year old Himura Momiji hastily speaks, attempting to take deep breaths. Inari takes another a couple more pictures before inspecting them. Her suspect was watching the disguised cop. Got 'em.
"Why? It was probably some reporter with a stupid hacking Quirk or some shit like that," Inari says, making Momiji laugh humorlessly through panicked breaths.
"Don't fuck with me Aneki. If that's how you really feel about what happened, you would already have hung up to focus on your case." Inari smirks while she stands up, closing her laptop. Putting up her laptop and camera, she carefully makes her way to her suspect and the disguised cop.
"Why are you scared?" Inari asks pulling out her sunglasses and putting them on, looking up at the sky when her suspect glances around. They finally make a move.
"I had a bad feeling while the school was being evacuated. I was squished against the window and used my Quirk. The–Aneki the probability of a villain breaching the entrance was 85%. 85. I–You–Please. Try and get Nezu-Sensei to give you permission. This is serious," Momiji whispers into her phone. Inari breaks into a sprint when her suspect roughly grabs the disguised cop, placing a knife to her throat.
"Fuck! Hold on!" Inari uses her momentum and kicks her suspect in the face, the hood falling. The suspect is a woman.
The disguised cop scrambles out of the way, a hand grasping her throat. Inari drops onto the suspect, straddling her legs and pinning her arms to the sidewalk.
"Oshiro Kazue! You are under arrest for the kidnapping, torture, and murder of Oshiro Sayuri, Enami Hanae, and Uda Nao," Inari barks with a sneer. Kazue screeches, trying valiantly to thrash out of the private investigator's hold. Multiple running footsteps brings Inari back to who she was with, glancing up to see the Pro Hero she was working with, No. 4 Hero, Fiber Hero: Best Jeanist, and the group of police officers.
"Himura! You could have gotten Yumoto killed with your recklessness!" One of the police officers scold furiously while Best Jeanist uses his Quirk to tie up Kazue. Inari rolls her eyes standing up from the still screeching–thank God it's muffled–murderer.
"If you didn't want her almost killed, you should've had me as the bait Aso." Inari says, shrugging. "Like I said before."
"You little bi–"
"Himura-san, thank you for letting us contribute to your case," Best Jeanist interrupts the insult, giving a shallow bow. Inari snorts and waves her hand in dismissal.
"No need, Best Jeanist," She says with a small smile. Cursing under her breath, Inari takes out her phone and puts it back to her ear.
"Hey Moji, still there?"
"Yeah. The Faceless Killer huh?" Momiji says, a hint of pride in her tone. Inari rolls her eyes while she places her empty hand on her hip.
"I'll see what I can do. Get back to class if you're not going to have panic attack, Moji," Inari says before hanging up. Making sure she had everything in her bag, she gave Best Jeanist a two finger salute.
"I'm bouncing before the reporters swarm the shit out of this place. Just send the report to my office when everything's done. See ya."
"*suffering sigh*, Problem Child," Best Jeanist mutters under his breath while he watches Inari speed out of the park right before the first news van comes speeding down the street.
"Okay, so I know you're like a sort of spy mom when it comes to us, but why are you going to attempt to investigate the reporter breach?" 15 year old Himura Hodaka asks, mouth full of pizza. Inari throws a pen at his head without glancing away from her recently cleared glass whiteboard.
"Besides the fact that Moji was freaking out because she saw that there was an 85% chance a villain caused the breach, I'm confused about how someone was even able to cause the breach," Inari says, staring at the only picture on the board. It was a picture of UA High School she printed off from their website. Quite a magnificent building.
"Oh. Have you already asked Nezu-Sensei?" Hodaka asks after swallowing his food. Inari hums in affirmation after taking a bite of her pizza.
"Emailed him when I got back from finishing my case. Hasn't answered yet. Where's Moji?" Inari asks running a hand through her silver hair, silently loving her new pixie cut.
"Finally breaking up with that bitch, Riho," Hodaka says, focusing on his homework.
"What'd this one do?" Inari asks while walking over to her laptop.
"Same as Komiya. Cheated on Moji and took her for granted," Hodaka answers, brushing his curly silver hair out of his eyes.
"Good riddance then. When will she be back?" The young private investigator asks, opening her email. One new message.
"Dunno. She said she had to make the break up memorable, like all the others," The 15 year old says, making Inari snort.
"I hope Moji records it. I love seeing that shit," Inari says with a wide grin, opening the new email.
"...are you sure it wasn't some reporter's Quirk?" Hodaka asks hesitantly, making Inari pause in her typing.
"A reporter wouldn't risk going to jail for an already publicized event," Inari states bluntly, eyes narrowed at her keyboard. The door opening breaks the tension in the room.
"'m home!" Momiji shouts from the hallway, taking off her shoes.
"How'd the breakup go?" Inari asks loudly before taking a bite of her pizza, continuing where she left off in the email.
"The bitch tried crying to make me feel guilty, but the slap a gave her made the judgemental stares I got worth it. Otoha is meant to be the most promising hero-in-training of the second years and here she is being so unfaithful behind my back and behind Hatsu's. Damn, I feel so fucking bad for him. He had no idea," Momiji rants, tossing her bag on an empty chair before grabbing a slice of pizza and angrily taking a bite.
"Riho Otoha won't be showing her face for at least a week," Momiji adds with a grin. "Has Nezu-Sensei given you permission yet?"
"You're really pushing how much you use your Quirk publicly Himura Momiji," Inari says with a narrowed stare. Momiji just shrugs her shoulders and takes another bite of her pizza. The 18 year old rolls her eyes and leans away from her laptop.
"Yes actually. I just finished reading his email. He wants to meet me first, obviously," Inari says, closing her laptop. "I'll be going to UA with you two buttheads in the morning."
"Ine! I lost my keys again! Would you be a dear and help me?"
Izumida Yoshisada, Inari's neighbor, shouts from the hallway. Inari sighs in exasperation, shaking her head fondly.
"Don't eat all the pizza. Coming Izumida-san!" Inari shouts back, already walking towards the front door.
"Aneki?" Momiji asks nervously, messing with one of her silver curls. Inari stops and glances over her shoulder.
"If this case–will you–please be careful. I have a bad feeling about–will you?" The 16 year old stumbles over her words, avoiding Inari's stare. Sighing heavily, Inari nods.
"I'll try. I have a bad feeling about all this too. Now, eat. I'll be right back."
Yo. How's the chapter? Good? I hope so.
