"We're doing what?! Ine!" Dabi shouts through the phone, making an exhausted Inari wince and pull the phone back a bit.

"You've already agreed to helping me if I get any interns. I don't see why you're so shocked," Inari says tiredly as she slowly walks through the grocery aisles.

"We agreed on one. One each if you had two. Ine, you accepted four and I don't fucking trust Himiko with anyone alone." Inari hears Himiko protesting loudly on the other side of the phone. "Oh, you know I'm right! I barely trust you alone with Ine!"

"We'll be working together, at least with training and–well, one of them will be looking for revenge," The white haired woman states while picking up two cans of soup, each a different brand.

Dabi sighs heavily through the phone and Inari imagines him pinching the bridge of his nose. "Ingenium's kid brother?"

"Yep. Oh, and Endeavor's youngest son is one of other interns." Inari stifles a laugh at Dabi's loud curse.

"Inari."

"I didn't tell him anything. That's your fucking decision." The white haired woman tosses both soups into her basket. "He needs help with his fire side. And you know I'm a fucking horrible teacher."

"Who else? You said you're getting four interns," Dabi asks in defeat. Inari rolls her eyes and grabs two more soups.

"Green hair and explosive blonde," She answers calmly, walking out of the aisle. She ignores a few stares from some of the other customers.

Dabi groans loudly, making Inari snort. "Calm the fuck down. I ain't gonna drop 'em on you and Himiko. We agreed to train 'em together."

"Agreed my ass," Dabi mutters into the phone. Inari raises an eyebrow and looks up.

"What was that?"

"Nothing!" Dabi curses under his breath. "Just–what are you planning?"

"I'm planning something. That I will tell you about once I figure a few things out, but for now I need you to help me train these feral children to be decent hero material," The white haired woman says as she pushes her cart into the next aisle, immediately grabbing two loaves of bread.

Dabi groans again and Inari knows he's messing with his staples on the other end. Inari rolls her eyes, but stays quiet. She sighs and gives a kid staring at her a smile and a wave.

"You and Himiko will train them one by one for the first few days. I'll be teaching them paperwork and investigation shit for the ones who won't be training. I'll explain the details later," Inari says tiredly before pulling up at the checkout.

"...Himiko's been hearing about the League here and there. They've been looking for us," Dabi says quietly, making Inari freeze as she is about to place the soups on the conveyor belt. She scowls slightly and places the soups down.

"We'll talk over dinner. I'm at the grocery store right now. Tell Daki, Moji, and Toshi to stop whatever bullshit they're doin' without me there," She says before hanging up. Inari rolls her neck and puts up her phone before continuing to place her groceries on the conveyor belt.

"Siblings?" The cashier asks as he starts to scan her groceries. Inari snorts and gives the cashier a small smile.

"'course. My big sister instincts are kickin' in," Inari says while she takes out her wallet. The cashier snorts and gives her a grin.

"You gonna give 'em a headstart?" He asks, making Inari grin back at him.

"This is their headstart." Inari pays for the groceries before putting them back into the grocery cart. "Take care."

Inari pushes the cart into the cart area before grabbing her groceries. She winces heavily at the aching strain on her arms as she starts to walk out of the store.

She blinks once when she feels ice flood into her veins. When her legs lose feeling, Inari curses under her breath.

"Why now?" Inari thinks with a growl, stumbling towards the alley next to the grocery store. Her legs give out from under her, making her grunt in pain. She slides towards the wall and rapidly blinks away her blackening vision.

"C'mon..." Inari takes out her phone and presses Momiji's name.

Moji:

Big Sis: Absinthe

The phone slips out of her numb hands. Inari's body finally shuts down and slumps against the wall.

Liberty.

Inari stood in a decimated area. The entire area around her was clear of anything, the edge barricaded by debris. The black butterfly with red edges sat on top of a wall, surrounded by sharp needles to keep it from flying away.

She's suddenly pulled into another scene by a waterfall, an foreboding ice sculpture stood next to it, ice shooting out of its mouth. A white cat with red spots was laying below it, covered in ice and wasn't even shivering anymore from the cold.

She grunts when she is pushed backwards and falls on her ass in a different scene. Inari narrows her eyes as she looks around the empty streets of Tokyo. A single wolfsbane sprouts from the middle of the street.

Inari takes in a wheezing breath, sitting up with wide eyes. Someone places a hand on her shoulder, making her rip it out of their grip.

"Ine-san, it's me..." A familiar voice rings through Inari's ears as she continues to wheeze. She glances to her left and sees Kodai Yui, a hero-in-training from Class 1-B, sitting on her knees beside the 18 year old woman.

Inari closes her eyes and leans back against the wall as she presses her hand to her forehead. Her breathing slowly calms down and her heartbeat slows.

"You... what're–shit. Hold–hold 'n," Inari tries to speak through her panic. She takes in a deep breath and forces her frantic thoughts out of her mind.

"What're you doing here, Kodai-kun?" The white haired woman asks, glancing at the 15 year old.

"I was on my way home and I saw you passed out. You weren't breathing," Yui states emotionlessly, eyebrows furrowed with worry and fear.

Inari snorts and gives Yui a smile. "Something to do with my Quirk. 'm fine, kid."

"You're only three years older than me," The black haired teenager points out blankly. Inari snorts again and points to herself.

"An' you're the one who's still a minor. You're a kid to me. A cheeky brat too," She snarks playfully before slowly getting up. "'ve gotta go. I know I've worried the hell out of Momiji and the others. I'll walk with you t'your home before heading back."

Yui stands up while Inari grabs her grocery bags. "It's not too dark out yet. I'll be fine, Ine-san."

"Nah. I'd not be a good law bitch if I'd left a kid alone, no matter how capable they are," Inari doesn't budge as she starts to walk out of the alleyway. She pauses and looks over her shoulder when Yui doesn't follow her.

"You coming or what? I'm sure your family's gonna get worried if it gets any darker." Yui blinks, expression still emotionless, before walking past the older female.

"This way, Ine-san."

Hey! Hope you all like the new chapter! Bit of a filler I guess. Things'll get going in the next chapter or two.
