Hello there, Been a while... again, but for those who read my author's note you know, I have the excuse of all excuses. Despite that, I have taken longer than I wanted to in coming back and for that I'm sorry. I'm going to try and pump out a couple of chapters quicker to make up for the time I was gone but no promises. Anyway here's the next chapter.

Also to answer a few reviews I got over the last chapters

Someonefamous99: Between chapters 1 and two Percy ran away so he could live somewhat peacefully, and I have now updated chapter one so in the note he leaves with the hunt he tells them he's leaving to the land beyond the gods(Thank you for pointing out the weird transition I had there). Secondly, the chaos we have met is not of the Greek pantheon at all that is what I was trying to say in an admittedly weird way, she is far older than any pantheon. Finally, I have to make Gabe the way he is because the things that I mention about him and the whole chapter, in general, will be important later on, just search up the rule of Chekov's gun, and try to think about it if I ever mention something weird or Grim as it will probably be important later on.

PrimordialGod9: Tracy will play a major role in this story currently she is just off focusing on her own growth with the hunt.

last time.

"What is this place," I asked.

"well, it technically doesn't have a name but most of the people here call it the foundation," he said. "Plus I've still got a lot to teach you about how this place works, about the camps, about our ancestors and why this place exists."

"Camps?" I questioned.

"I'll teach you all you need to know later, ok," he asked me.

"Sure" I replied 'The foundation huh, sounds cool' I thought to myself.

now

Percy POV

I walked through the halls of the foundation with the man who had first talked to me. Come to think of it I had yet to even ask his name. "Um, sir, what's your name," I asked?

"Huh, oh yeah I guess we never exchanged names. Well, my name is Israfil Alexander, I'm 16 years old, and my godly parent is Apollo."

"My name is Percy Jackson I'm almost 6 years old and I don't know who my godly parent is."

"Yeah I didn't really expect you to know that last part," he told me "but don't worry we have tests to figure it out."

"That's pretty convenient," I said.

"Yeah well, it took the leaders a while to come up with them, but they produce mostly correct answers now," he told me.

"Well, I'm ready to be tested whenever," I said somewhat impatiently wanting to know who my dad was.

"You'll need to wait just a bit, first things first you have to meet the leader and learn how things work around here" he explained.

"Ok, where's the leader then?" I asked.

"Follow me," he said beckoning me to follow.

We walked down long empty hallways with no directions in them. In this place, it seemed like you had to have everything memorized or you would never be able to find your way through. As the winding corridors continued on I slowly blanked out thinking about who my dad could be. Was it Apollo like Israfil, or maybe someone like Hephaestus? I hoped it wasn't Ares as I was somewhat against violence at the moment. I was shaken from my thoughts when I bumped into the back of Israfil's leg "we're here" he told me. He stepped forwards and pushed against a simple door that would never have been thought to have been the door to the leader's room.

Third-person POV

"Sir may I come in?" asked Israfil.

"Sure, and again call me Cole," said the leader.

"Sorry but I'm gonna address the man who saved my life as sir," said Israfil with a grin.

"Ok ok fine, what do you want," asked Cole.

"A child fell into our base and has the telltale signs of being a demigod so I brought him here as per protocol sir," claimed Israfil.

"Oh, where is he," Asked cole. Israfil stepped out of the way and Percy walked in. "Hey there, my name is Cole Richards and I'm the leader of this organization what's your name," Questioned Cole

"My name is Percy Jackson sir," Said Percy

"Please just call me cole, I already have one person calling me by sir I don't need you to as well," he said pointing at Israfil.

"Um... ok, so what is this place," Asked Percy.

"To put it simply this place is a safe haven for demigods. I along with five others formed this place around 20 years ago when we were all around 16 or 17. The six of us set out recruiting new members to join our group. We mostly recruited Demigods who had abandoned the original safe haven that was Camp Halfblood. They abandoned the safe haven because the gods had not claimed them and they were sick and tired of it. It was the same reason the original six left that we gained many of our members. Demigods are not treated fairly at camp Halfblood and that drove them away. The original six learned how to run the foundation and so we offered shelter to the demigods who needed it. We fed them gave them a place to sleep taught them how to fight, overall giving them a much better life than they had. And that's the basics of what this place is. I'll tell you more later but for now, we should start with your demigod testing," said Cole. "Israfil do you have any ideas of who his godly parent could be"

"I'm not sure, he's only been here for a little over an hour. Most of that hour was spent explaining stuff about Greek mythology that he didn't already know. That being said I have found a few hints" Israfil exclaimed.

"lay it on me music boy," said Cole while smirking.

Israfil shook his head at the nickname. "Well, the kid is quite smart, he picked up facts quickly and was a great listener despite his ADHD. He doesn't struggle with his dyslexia, and that makes me think a child of Athena, makes sense right?" questioned Israfil. Cole nodded in response before Israfil continued speaking. "The problem with that theory is the kid says his dad's the one who left him, not his mom. So I figure a male god that has some brains and likes technical knowledge, then it makes sense for him to be a child of Hephaestus. Plus looking at the kid he's pretty big and strong for a 5-year-old, or almost 6 years old now but it doesn't matter," claimed Israfil. Cole sat in silence for a moment thinking it over before voicing his agreement and telling Israfil to take Percy to bed and then start the testing tomorrow morning.

With that Israfil and I left the main office and made their way back down the blank hallways. They walked back through the mess hall that Percy had first been in and then to a hallway filled with rooms. When they got halfway down the hall Israfil turned and opened one of the doors and walked into the room. "welcome to my room" he said kindly. Percy looked in the room and saw two beds on the left and right walls. He would have taken the time to notice the other details of the room but the exhaustion of the day caught up with him and he fell onto the bed that didn't have Israfils stuff on it.

The next day

Percy woke up to the feeling of someone shaking his shoulder. He pried his eyes open and saw Israfil standing there. He rolled out of bed and asked if he could have breakfast. Israfil said yes and to follow him as they went back to the mess hall to grab a quick breakfast before deciding to head to the testing facilities.

As they walked noises could be heard echoing from down the hall. The clanging of metal, the thwack of arrows hitting targets, and a few other unusual noises. The two reached the end of the hall and turned left to look down the strangest hallway Percy had ever seen. On the right wall, there were many different rooms. The first room had walls covered in what seemed to be grapevines as well as a chalice sitting in the middle of the room. The next room had an incredible amount of cosmetic accessories ranging from makeup to clothes to curling irons and razors. Room 3 on the right held a tree and a bow but was blocked off by a clear tarp. Room 4 held what seemed to be a mini library. Room 5 was somewhat similar to room 1 but held many different assortments of plants and what seemed to be a dying plant in the middle. Room 6 was the last room on the right and held a clear orb in the middle of the room, but was blocked off much like the room with the tree and bow.

Opposite those rooms, on the left Wall, room 1 held many items and many weapons as well as a treadmill and chest with a lock on it. Room 2 had what seemed to be a blacksmith's workshop. Room 3 had a bow and target as well as musical instruments lined up on the walls. Room 4 had many weapons as well as dummies to attack. Room 5 had a cup of water sitting in the middle. Finally, room 6 was just a staircase that led outside.

Percy spoke up "Israfil, what are all of these rooms"?

Israfil looked down at Percy and smiled "Each room is the test of a different god or goddess, or at least the Olympians. We have other rooms for the minor gods but they're less common." Said Israfil.

"Alright so what are all of the tests and why are some of them blocked off," asked Percy.

"Well, some of the rooms are blocked off because those Goddesses will never have demigod children. Also, I'm not explaining how children are made, you're way too young for that," Said Israfil firmly.

"Wasn't gonna ask about kids, but ok then. So what are the tests then" Inquired Percy

"Well, the one that you will be doing is the Hephaestus test. Basically, we're going to ask you to forge something without giving you any lessons on how to. If you're not a Hephaestus kid you will either not be able to get the forge working, or forge something really crappy if you are then, it shouldn't be that hard to make something decent" Explained Israfil.

Percy nodded in understanding "so what if I'm not a Hephaestus kid" He asked.

Israfil Responded "then we'll try some other tests that may be correct and see if you're a different god's kid"

Percy voiced his understanding then started to walk towards room L2 which was the second room on the left wall. He stepped into the workshop to be greeted by a huge man.

Percy POV

"Oh, hello Israfil," said the giant man standing in the Hephaestus test chamber. His voice was strange somewhat emotionless or monotonous.

"Hey, Jeremy this is the kid that Cole should have told you about," said Israfil.

"Yes I was informed, what is your name?" he asked turning to look at me.

"My name is Percy sir," I replied slightly on edge

"Alright then, I will show you how the test is done then I will leave Israfil to supervise you, understood?" he Questioned.

"Yes, sir".

"Alright, here's what you do. Firstly we're going to take you to the forge, we're not going to give you any instructions for the machines. We'll see if you can make anything and work the equipment. That should be enough to determine whether or not Hephaestus is your parent. If not we have some strength tests and mechanical solution tests for you to do as well. Israfil call me if you need any more help"

"will do" Israfil responded "alright kid show me what you got," he said waving me towards the forges.

I walked over slowly and looked at the equipment around me. I grabbed a small block of celestial bronze and walked over to the furnace and placed the block of metal in. I waited for my instincts to tell me to pull it out but nothing was happening 'maybe it takes longer than I think it will.' as I continued to wait I studied the other machines figuring out how they would function and what each of them could do to the block of metal. After having spent a considerable amount of time studying the machines I noticed the metal was glowing very brightly and pulled it out using the tongs. after that, I went to the electric hammering machine to start to shape it. In my mind, I wanted to make a knife, but that failed horribly. I ended up sitting there for a long time thinking about what to make.

"Percy is that the finished product" Israfil questioned from behind me.

"No, I haven't even started... hammering?" As I was speaking I looked down and noticed I was standing in a new spot next to the anvil. On top of that, I had a hammer in my hand, and in front of me on the anvil stood 3 celestial bronze bullets with their brass casings on and seemingly the gunpowder loaded in. "Um, I guess, yeah this is it," I said unconfidently.

"I don't think you're a Hephaestus kid," he said sternly.

"Ok, why," I asked?

"firstly what you made was quite small, which isn't necessarily bad. Secondly, you made bullets and guns have never been used by demigods so it seems weird. Lastly, the big point is I noticed how much you studied the machines. You took a lot of time to properly comprehend what each machine could do for you, whereas a Hephaestus kid would just start making something. Make sense." he asked

"Yeah Makes sense" I responded

"Let's try Athena that'd be my bet if you arent Hephaestus's." We walked over to the Athena challenge room where a girl was waiting. She explained the challenges to me and then left same as Jeremy. I worked my way through the challenge but it was difficult to do all of the reading and it definitely wasn't enjoyable. This confused Israfil. "Percy I don't think you're an Athena kid either."

"Ok so is it bad I wasn't either of the ones you thought I was," I asked?

"No not bad, just inconvenient. How about we go get you a weapon see if that gives me any clues about who your parent is." He offered. I nodded in response and we made our way back down the black corridors. "So, you got any questions about this place you wanna ask while we're walking" he Questioned?

"Yeah actually, what is this place, how was it started, how many people are here, and what were those camps you were talking about," I asked

"Jeez, kid why do you have to ask so many questions? Alright, to put it simply this place is a safe haven for demigods like us. Monsters can't get in here simply because we're so far underground. The Cole guy you met earlier he one of the leaders of this place. He along with five others left one of the camps and started this place. they left the camps because the gods paid no attention to any of their kids and they were fed up with it. The original 6 who are now known as the leaders left and started to build a base. 4 of the leaders ended up dying, they were a son of Hephaestus named Zeke, a son of Athena named Anthony, a son of Ares named Tyler, and a daughter of Demeter named Olivia. The two that are still alive are Cole Richards who you met who's a son of Athena and a daughter of Hecate named Layla Novak. The Camp they left was the safe haven that the gods made for their children long ago but they neglect to ever do anything for their children there. The leaders made this place in hopes to make a better safe haven for the demigods and training them so they could live longer than they were. Now that you're here there are 54 of us.

most people arrive here at around 10 to 12 years old because we have scouts in schools looking for kids to recruit. you're even younger than that though so you'll probably end up being a monster considering you're going to start training like 2 years younger than everyone else." he said "assuming you make it through training" he whispered to himself so I didn't hear.

"what do you mean 2 years I said I was almost 6 remember" I pointed out

he looked at me bewildered for a moment "gods, yeah you did say that you just don't look or talk like someone who isn't even six yet. You really are gonna be a monster." he said with a small grin. We walked in comfortable silence for a little bit before coming up to a large door. Israfil undid the lock on the door and opened it up to show me the armoury It was a massive room divided into many sections. There was a section for each of the Olympians who had weapons they were known to use and many more sections for other kinds of weapons. "Alright go ahead and pick whatever feels natural to you," he said ushering me into the room.

"Ok" I responded simply. I walked into the room and looked in front of me. There were tridents in one section, swords in another, bows in another and more and more weapons. As I walked around I picked up a sword that felt decent and decided that it wasn't the weapon for me. I walked past the bows and felt a sense of dread wash over me making me walk faster towards the shield section. the shield sections seemed boring and uninspired like all the heroes thought of shields as something unnecessary. After a quick scan of all of them, one caught his eye. It was Black with a stormy green tint around the emblem in the middle and a silvery sharp edge all around the sides. The emblem in the middle was worn away but resembled a book. I walked up to it and picked it up and noticed it was extremely heavy. I also noticed 2 buttons on it I clicked the one on the top of the handle and the sharp edge pulled back into the shield leaving it dull. curious by the advanced craftsmanship I pushed the other button and felt the shield break in half, or not. the shield had split down the middle but the 2 halves were connected by a serrated whip thing. All I could think was 'cool'. I kept looking through the room and found none of the weapons to really call to me. I decided the shield would be my weapon then and walked back to Israfil. "I got my weapon," I told him.

he turned to look at me and his face shifted to a mildly amused look. "you realize that's just a shield right" he asked?

"that's what I thought at first also, but" I clicked the button to extend the sharp edge of the shield and then pushed the button to split the shield in half. "It's also almost a whip."

"that... is pretty badass," he said with a big smile. "not very helpful in figuring out who your godly parent is though," he said, his smile turning to a frown. "I guess I'll have to get you to do more tests then," he said sighing.

We started to make our way back to the test rooms but Israfil checked his watch and noticed it was lunch. "you hungry Perce" he asked?

"Yeah is it time to eat" I responded? He chuckled and nodded to me before turning and heading towards the mess hall. On the walk there I asked Israfil a little bit about himself but he seemed a bit reluctant to share so I stopped asking him questions.

We got to the mess hall and I smelled Burritos. I ran to pick up a plate and loaded up 2 burritos onto it before making my way to the table Israfil was at. I went to sit down and as I was going to take my first bite I heard a scream. In an instant, I took in my surroundings 'there are no monsters, maybe someone ate something hot. No, I doubt that's it, wait why is Israfil scooting away from me' as that last thought crossed my mind I was hugged by many girls all screaming about how the cute little boy was back. My brain shut off for a moment due to being suffocated between many large breasts. I regained focus so that I could ask Israfil for help, but when I looked at him he seemed to be going to great lengths to avoid looking at me. "TRAITOR" I yelled at him. After being suffocated for a little while longer the girls calmed down and started talking to me when I noticed something I found slightly odd. All of the girls here were the exact same ones as from last night, except for one girl who was missing. I spoke up about it "hey, where's the other girl you were with last night when you first assaulted me," I asked?

A blonde girl named Emily spoke up "why do you wanna know? Is she your favourite does wittle Pewcy have a crush" she asked in a joking tone?

"No, I was just wondering," I said.

"Ok well she finished her training last night and she's pretty emotionless right now. We tried asking her about what the final test was but she wouldn't tell us," she said with concern lacing her voice.

"It's weird none of the ones who finish the final test ever say what it is," Israfil said finally deciding to join the conversation.

A chorus of "yeah" and "I noticed that also" followed the comment.

We wrapped up lunch a few minutes later and I said bye to the girl. That resulted in more breast suffocation which was slowly becoming a more realistic death opportunity than I had ever thought. Israfil and I walked back to the testing rooms and started to work our way through more of them. Since Israfil was at a loss for who's son I was, he decided that I would do all of the tests until one woked staring from the closest room on the right. This room's challenge was to make wine. Obviously, this challenge was for Dionysus's kids but the wine god definitely would not be proud as I ended up with a grape slushie instead of any form of wine.

I moved onto the next room and immediately couldn't breathe. The sheer scent of perfume wafting around in there was overpowering to all 5 senses and that makes no sense but it was true. The challenge was one of the more faulty ones as it was hard to tell if someone was an aphrodite kid. I cleaned myself up quite well but had struggled when it came to all the finer cosmetic details so that was another no go. I walked past the next room which had a bow in it and was blocked off because it was Lady Artemis's room and she has no kids. The room was definitely an archery test and just like before the bow gave me a horrible feeling like it was taunting me at how bad I was despite having never touched a bow before in my life. I mentioned the feeling to Israfil and he just seemed confused by it. The next room would have been the Athena room but I had already done the tests so I walked past that to the Demeter room. I walked in and a girl explained the test to me. I had to make a flower bloom that was it. I sat down next to the flower and I must've looked like an idiot as I sat there with my hands next to the unblooming flower groaning trying to force the flower to bloom. Israfil was dying in laughter behind me claiming I sounded like a constipated duck when I tried to force it to grow, but it remained unmoved.

It had been a couple hours since I started the tests but I still had 5 more to go. Israfil took me to the closest room to the entrance but on the left side instead of the right this time. This was the Hermes test. It tested my agility my use of different weapons and the biggest test was my thievery. Safe to say I failed. The test had me trying to steal a gem from a safeguarded by a laser grid that would set off an alarm if one of the lasers disconnected. I, despite my intelligence, walked right into the lasers testing out what they did. This Promptly put an end to the chances I was a Hermes child. Israfil still giggling pulled me to the next test after walking past the Hephaestus test and the apollo test wanting to save the apollo test for last. We walked to the Ares test which had to do with using different weapons and attacking vital points during combos. I was decent at it but I only really got it after getting pointers from Israfil so we agreed that wasn't right and went to the last of the normal olympian tests.

This was his dad's test, the Apollo test which gave the mixed feeling due to the bow inside the room. It included singing, archery, and healing. The healing test was to help a dummy that had fake injuries placed over it. This went decently well I did CPR well and treated the dummy for lacerations on his arm and stomach. but didn't know what to do for his partially torn off leg. Israfil was somewhat pleased with that hoping that I may actually be his half brother. Next was the singing and music part. Israfil handed me a guitar and told me to sing and play him a song. I tried a few test strums of the guitar but had no idea what I was really doing so gave up on it. I asked Israfil to play and I would sing so he started playing some songs he knew until we found one we both knew. The song is 'scene two - roger rabbit by sleeping with sirens'

Is there a right way for how this goes

You got your friends

And you got your foes

They want a piece of something hot

Forget your name like they forgot

Ohh, ain't that something

Some wanna see you crash and burn

I criticize your every word

I'm trying to keep from going insane

Ain't that the way of this whole damn thing

Ohh, trying to be something... more

Nobody's gonna love you if you can't display a way to capture this

Nobody's gonna hold your hand and guide you through

No it's up for you to understand

Nobody's gonna feel your pain

When all is done

And it's time for you to walk away

So when you have today

You should say all that you have to say

Ohh, say all that you have to say

Is there a right way for being strong?

Feels like I'm doing things all wrong

Still I'm here just holding on

Confess my heart and forgive my wrongs, oh

Just trying to show you something... more

Nobody's gonna love you if

You can't display a way to capture this

Nobody's gonna hold your hand

And guide you through

It's up for you to understand

Nobody's gonna feel your pain

When all is done

And it's time for you to walk away

When you have today

You should say all that you have to say

Don't point the blame when you can't find nothing

Look to yourself and you might find something

It's time that we sorted out

All of the things

We complain about

So listen close to the sound of your soul

Take back a life

We led once before

If it ain't you then who

If it ain't you

Then who's gonna love you

Nobody's gonna love you if (oh-oh)

You can't display a way to capture this

Nobody's gonna hold your hand (hold your hand)

And guide you through

It's up for you to understand

Nobody's gonna feel your pain (your pain)

When all is done

And it's time for you to walk away

When you have today

You should say all that you have to say

So when you have today

Say all that you have to say

When I finished I noticed a few things Israfil had stopped playing before I had stopped singing and the more I thought about it he had stopped pretty quickly. Maybe I was really bad, but I don't think Israfil is mean so I don't know why he would have called people over to listen to me sing. "uh... was that ok" I asked feeling very nervous.

"Percy," Israfil said slowly "that... I mean... that... when... how... DUDE THAT WAS SO INCREDIBLE I STOPPED PLAYING GUITAR BECAUSE I FELT LIKE I WAS DRAGGING YOU DOWN" he screamed at me and people nodded their agreement to my singing skills.

"Oh... thanks then I don't think I'm that good though," I said still very nervous from having all these people gathered to have listened to my singing.

"I'm testing you in archery now and if you're not good at that then I don't understand how your singing is incredible," he said still amazed by my performance. I nodded and walked over to the bow and picked it up. I still felt like it was laughing at me. In my hands, it also felt weird and unnatural. I loaded in an arrow and drew back. I aimed down towards the target and after a deep breath to calm myself I released the arrow and it sailed perfectly straight... Backwards... it sailed straight backwards past the crowd and into the wall. "You are impossible, you have the greatest voice I have ever heard but you suck at archery. What the fuck" he yelled in frustration. People started to file out of the testing area hallway when Cole walked up to Israfil and told him something.

"Back when I was at camp when someone was terrible at archery, Chiron would tell them they were worse than a son of Poseidon. He may be a big three kid." Cole said before walking off.

Israfil looked at me and Smirked, "I guess it's time to see if you're a big three kid."

Feels good to be done with this chapter sorry if the pace is a bit slow right now I noticed that while I was writing so if you agree then ill try to increase the pacing a bit.

I'm going to try and pump out another chapter in the next few days to make up for my absence so look forward to that and otherwise thanks to everyone who reached out to send me their condolences it was a nice thing to see the support you all gave me.

Signing off, Have a lovely day, a pleasant evening, and a beautiful night.

See ya next time.
