The thing about Spirits in human form, is that it's really easy to figure out who they are. They have an ethereal glow about them. This, of course is not the case for spirits who have joined the Weave of Destiny.

Except of course when they are actually, drawing on their spiritual power.

- It's the Agni Kai between Fire Lord Azula and the self-exiled Prince Zuko. Azula doesn't understand it, she's losing, she can't lose, she never loses.

- Then she sees it, a way to win. The Fire Sages if they cared at all for their pathetic lives would not disqualify her from eliminating a spectator.

- Zuko notices it, The minute her target switches from him to Katara, and he knows he won't make it.

- Azula's eyes widened as silver and blue and gold, gold, gold leak around Zuko, his eyes pupiless and glowing as he does the impossible and intercepts the strike which no human could possibly do.

- Then Zuko is on the ground, twitching and the waterbender is running to Zuko, glowing water surrounding her hands - she is going to heal him! She cannot do that!

- Katara is stuck fighting Azula when Zuko needs her! She's angry, she's tired and Azula desperately needs a time out.

- Azula's starts thrashing as red and gold and blue, blue, blue rise like waves about the waterbender, her eyes pupiless and glowing.

- Azula is chained and clawing at her bonds, screaming out at how unnatural and inhuman her brother and that waterbender are as the water bender gently, so gently - lovingly you could say brings her brother back from the brink.

- No one listens to the mad woman.
