Chapter 2

Three hours have passed since Luigi and his team left the Mushroom Kingdom's Imperial Palace. However, for some unknown reason, Jeralt and Greil walked off into a dark jungle full of mist and fog. Luigi was getting scared for their lives.

"Is everything okay back there?" Luigi asked Jeralt and Greil.

"We found something!" Greil said.

"What is it?!" Ike asked.

"It looks like it's walking towards us!" Seteth hollered. Luigi screamed for help. Then, with a shock, Jeralt and Greil came back with a Bengal tiger named Stripes.

"Hello, everyone. Nice day we're having, isn't it?" Stripes asked.

"Who are you?" Luigi asked Stripes. "Are you… evil? Because you... talk... Tigers don't talk!"

"Of course not." Stripes said. "I would never be evil like those damned Cuddly Canines are evil towards us. My name is Stripes. I am a member of the Furry Felines, a ragtag group of cats who go out protecting villages from these evil canines."

"Hey, that's our job!" Greil said. "We do the same thing! Except that we don't protect villages from evil canines... we protect villages from beorc bandits."

"Do you, sir?!" Stripes asked.

"Yeah. My dad's right." Greil's daughter Mist said. Suddenly, an African Lion that was the size of a Shetland pony came to Stripes.

"Stripes, I need you to do something for me for a few minutes." The African Lion said. "He later saw Luigi and his friends. "Oh… hello… I don't… think we have met before."

"What's your name?" Seteth's sister Flayn asked.

"My name is King." The African Lion said as he introduced himself. "I am the supreme leader of the Furry Felines. And I was wondering if we can use your help with something."

"Sure. We can help." Jeralt said. "What's happening?"

"Our beloved feline, Foofy, has been kidnapped by a spikey green shelled turtle named Bowser. He claims to be the King of the Koopa Clan." King said. "Can you help us in rescuing him please?" Everyone considered about the offer. However, it was Luigi who asked about where Foofy was being kept at.

"He is being kept at the Haunted Forest's mansion of ghosts." Stripes said.

"That's exactly where we are headed right now, Stripes." Greil said.

"But what did you need us for, though?" Byleth asked.

"My good man," Stripes spoke, "We saw you headed in this direction, and we figured that you would be the ones who would rescue Foofy and bring him back to us. So, will you help us please?"

"Alright. We'll help you guys." Luigi agreed. Soon, everyone then headed off to Spooks Peak to the Haunted Forest to find out exactly what Bowser was doing with Mario.

Hours went by, and back with Bowser, he heard news that intruders were coming to his keepsake mansion. Thinking that these people were Luigi and his small band of faculty soldiers, Bowser immediately took out a scepter and walked to the balcony of the mansion. There, he wanted to set traps for Luigi, the Greil Mercenaries, and the Church of Seiros army. He would set these traps by either casting spells or creating enemies with the scepter. Whichever it was, Bowser prayed that he would be successful. Then, Trooper came up.

"Whatcha doing, Your Majesty?" Trooper asked his king of koopas. "Trying to find ways to kill Mario and his little friends? Because that's what I'm suspecting right now."

"You see, Trooper?" Bowser asked. "This scepter I found in a closet in the haunted manor will surely stop whoever is coming to save Mario and his little friends. And I can already suspect that its his cowardly brother, Luigi." Bowser later said to Trooper. Trooper later laughed evilly, thinking the idea was good. He later asked Bowser about what he needed to do next.

"Alright, Trooper. Here's what I need you to do." Bowser said. "Your mission is to finbd out if the people coming is as band of soldiers led by Luigi. If it is, do tell me. And if it really is… then I will smash them like little bugs!"

"Yes, Your Majesty." Trooper said.

Back with Luigi and his friends, as well as Stripes and King, they were still headed through the forest to Spooks Peak. However, as the sky grew darker and the mist grew foggier, Luigi was getting more scared for his life now than ever. Then, he saw something shining in the distance. Suspecting it was Spooks Peak, he decided to check it out.

"Luigi, no, wait!" Greil said.

"What?!" Luigi asked Greil.

"You should never ever, ever travel to Spooks Peak alone." Greil said.

"Greil is right, Luigi." Jeralt said. "It can get quite dangerous out there with all those creepy crawlies that go bump in the night." Luigi remained silent after hearing Greil and Jeralt's words.

Soren later asked, "Don't you want to stick with us, Luigi?"

"Yeah, we are trying to help you…" Byleth said.

"But my friends… We already reached our destination by that shining light right there." Luigi said. Everyone was later shocked.

"Wow… that's Spooks Peak?" Seteth's sister Flayn asked. "Looks pretty spooky if anyone asks me."

"Looks like we have to go through a lot if we want to reach Bowser's manor in time to rescue Mario and his friends." Seteth said.

"You guys with me on this?" Luigi asked his team.

"We're with you, Luigi." Archbishop Rhea said.

"And we're by your side too, Luigi." Greil said.

"Stripes? King? What about you two? Do you think you can help us into rescuing my brother Mario? What about Princess Peach and Toad? Or even your precious Foofy, perhaps?"

"We are with you no matter what it takes, Luigi." King said. "Foofy will be ours again. And once he comes home with us, I will make sure to tighten security around his tent."

"Alright. It's going to take a lot of effort to make it through this forest to get to the spooky manor. Everyone, our strategy is to stick together as a team. And always stay together as one. Got it, everyone?"

"I'm, pretty sure everyone understands, Luigi." Byleth said. "I know much about it for me being a professor at the Officer's Academy."

"Yes." Luigi said. "They better understand. Now, we've no time to waste, everyone. Let's-a go!" And so, everyone headed off to Spooks Peak into the spooky forest to get to the spooky manor of King Bowser of the Koopa Clan. The adventure of a battle was just about to begin.
