Thank you for your reviews and your time. The sad stuff will probably come in a chapter or two but I'm gonna try not to butcher some happy summer camp moments until then :)

The mythical summer camp. Two buses to take the hero course to this mysterious place that the UA faculty have been suspiciously tight lipped about, it was almost enough to make the Dragonborn want to investigate but if they wanted to surprise their students then it couldn't be too bad. Right?

It took about an hour of travelling before they were allowed off the bus to move around a little. Spider was honestly surprised Aizawa hadn't cracked under the pressure of twenty rowdy teen hero hopefuls. As you could imagine it was loud and there were a few instances of unplanned quirk usage. Still there was some fun to be had for the Dovahkiin as she continued reading her book next to Shinso who was shoved into class 1A in time for this summer camp training thing.

He probably needs it more than the others since he'd been stuck in general education all this time without quirk or battle training aside from whatever he'd been doing in his own time. And looking at how gangly the boy was it wasn't much.

The first thing she did after a reading a few chapters was check behind her. Todoroki and Izuku were on the very back row sitting next to each other and it appeared that the little hero hadn't gotten a lot of sleep last night. Too excited she'd bet.

Still it was criminal how adorable he looked with his head resting on Todoroki's shoulder, eyes closed and breathing deeply. It contrasted with the utter confusion in the other teen's eyes which said 'What do I do? I've never been prepared for this. Is this this friends?'

The second was to conjure a travel pillow for her seat mate. He hadn't said anything to her when they sat down but she she could see he was having trouble getting some shut eye as every time he drifted his head fell and he'd shake himself awake. Shinso had wordlessly accepted the offering with a small smile in thanks and pressed himself against the side of the bus with his new plush purple pillow.

That meant there was still about half an hour of time left to kill. How better than talking to Kaminari? It was a little difficult since he was sat with Red up in the front so they made do with texting. She waited patiently as he typed out how pumped he was about going to this camp and hanging out with everyone in class outside of a school setting again like they did at the mall. He then apologised since she wasn't actually there for that (that he knew of).

Spider couldn't help but feel happy he was enjoying himself so much already and like most of their discussions, it devolved into sending each other memes. One of them being a literal gigantic tarantula with the name tag 'Dave' saying 'Welcome to Australia. Passport please.'

It was about ten minutes until their stop when an alarmed text interrupted the chat. It was from Inko Midoriya.

Inko: YOU LEFT A WOMAN WHO HASN'T BEEN OUTSIDE IN OVER A DECADE IN CHARGE OF THE BUILDING?

Spider: Darling, your caps lock is on.

Inko: On purpose. Poor woman was shaking when she handed me the note you left.

Spider: You're both capable people and I'll only be gone a week, no need to be worried.

Inko: We've never been in charge of a building before and we just met! This is something you really should have asked before just leaving it to us.

The woman has a point, that was a little rude. In the excitement of the mall thing and rescuing Rei, Spider had lost track of time and needed to leave for camp before she could set a plan in place so she'd left a note in the kitchen that said,

'Good morning Rei, I hope you're feeling well after our talk last night and I look forward to seeing you again soon. There is however one thing I neglected to mention, I am going with my class on the summer camp trip I'm sure your son has mentioned and so I'll be away for next seven days. Until I return you are in charge and I've left three million yen in the briefcases on the couch if you need to buy something. Mrs Midoriya will be in the apartment downstairs if you need anything, I'm sure you will be fast friends.'

Spider PoisonBlood

Spider: You're right, I apologise. Please, would you help Rei look after the complex while I'm away?

Inko: ... well it's a little late to back out now.

Spider: Anything you want as payment you can have.

Inko: Just keep my baby and yourself safe out there, a mother worries you know.

Spider: More than you realise. Rei's son is in our class too so let her know I'll be watching out for them both.

Spider: Thank you again, you have my gratitude.

Back to the present though, all the students filed off of the bus to a semi circle rest area just next to road. The cliff side was fenced off and offered a stunning view of the vast forest stretching into the mountains of the countryside. A lone black car was also parked here and there were three distinct auras inside, two women and a male child.

Spider herself was just making it to the door of the bus to join her fellow classmates when Aizawa's hand reached out to stop her. She paused and stepped aside to allow Shinso, Midoriya, Todoroki, Sero and Ojiro past and waited for whatever her teacher thought was so important he couldn't have asked her during the literal hour of free time they had on the way over here.

"I'm going to need you to power down for the next few hours and possibly the rest of the training camp." Aizawa said in a bored tone.

Spider exhaled loudly through her nose like she thought it was a semi funny joke and made to move past him only to be stopped again. Annoyed, she crossed her arms. "The last time I did that on a school trip I got my jaw removed and fought a creature that almost put you in the ground. My answer is no."

Aizawa sighed. "That won't happen here, UA has gone through very secure channels to set this up and no one outside of the faculty knows where we are going. You will be perfectly safe." He added the last part like that was what she was concerned about.

"I can handle losing a limb because of my own stupidity, I won't risk losing them." She nodded to the students outside who were stretching after being cooped up for so long.

"You won't be risking anything." Aizawa told her. "There will be six pro heroes on site the entire time and if we get even the slightest hint that something is wrong everyone will be evacuated immediately, nothing will happen to them." He still couldn't remove the impassive look the Dragonborn was giving him. "I promise."

Spider's features twitched in surprise, Eraser didn't do promises unless he was completely certain. After a few more seconds of internal debate she relented. Just like before a green spell enveloped the Dovahkiin from head to toe before fading away.

Nothing had explicitly changed in her appearance but with the way Aizawa saw her look around as if getting used to seeing things differently he knew she'd done as he'd asked. Yet before he could fully turn to get off the bus Spider caught his arm and his eyes met hers.

"If anything happens because of this..." She didn't finish but the meaning behind it was understood as they exited the bus together.

"This isn't much of a rest area." Kirishima commented as the students walked around a little to get some feeling back into their limbs.

"Yeah, and where's class B?" Jiro piped up.

Aizawa swiftly cut in before anyone else could voice their thoughts. "You don't really think we stopped here just so you could stretch your legs do you?"

Suddenly the doors on either side of the black car opened and a new voice entered. "Heya Eraser!"

Aizawa bowed his head in greeting as the two women Spider assumed to be pro heroes with the ridiculous outfits they were wearing jumped in front of the class to introduce themselves.

"Your feline fantasies are here! Say Meow." The brunette announced.

"Perfectly cute and cat-like girls, you can call us" The blonde said her half and then the two spoke in unison while striking a dramatic pose.

"The Wild, Wild Pussy Cats.!"

Spider tried, she really did. But if they insisted on being this... lame then really what was she meant to do? Politely ignore them? I think the fuck not.

"I thought you said there were pro heroes on this trip not some furry cosplayers." The Dragonborn said as she turned to Aizawa who looked suitably disgruntled that Spider had just insulted some of the best rescue heroes this side of Japan.

"These are the pro heroes you'll be working with at the summer training camp." Eraser stated as though he hadn't just heard what his student said.

On cue the fanboy came out to play. "They're a four person hero team who specialise in mountain rescues!" Midoriya looked psyched to be working with the two heroes who were still posing. "The Pussy Cats were founded when we were kids like forever ago!"

Spider had never been so proud. That singular comment managed to break their formation and frankly the blonde looked ready to murder the green haired student if he continued any further. Which he did.

"This marks their twelfth year working as a-" Midoriya's tirade stopped abruptly as a paw-gloved hand stopped inches away from his face.

Spider's iron grip on the pro heroes' forearm tightened and there was an almost imperceptible whimper coming from the blonde who'd tried to attack her friend.

"Spider." Aizawa's voice sounded so tired already. "Let her go, I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it."

"I trusted you when you said there would be six pros on site, if she tries to attack us again then I will make it five." Spider's warning sent a chill through everyone present even as she let the hero go the Dovahkiin stood protectively in front of Izuku, daring her to try it again.

"H-hey it's fine really, I-I'm sure she just thought I was making fun of her age and I didn't mean to it was just that I've read about them so much and I know when they first got together and all of there big rescues and I w-was excited to finally..." With each word Izuku got quieter and quieter until he finally cut himself off and looked away embarrassed.

Spider turned and placed comforting hand on his shoulder. "She jumped to conclusions and that's not your fault."

Izuku looked up and there was a reassuring smile waiting for him, he returned it but then the smile disappeared and he had that look where he wanted to say something but didn't know if he could or should.

The Dovahkiin sighed and looked back to the Blonde pro who hadn't quite moved and was stood a little awkwardly in front of them. "I'm sorry I threatened you. I can get very protective and I hope you can understand that."

"Oh, yeah I... Look I didn't mean to scare anyone I was just being a little sensitive and... I'm sorry it was stupid." She trailed off and Spider understood to a certain degree that the people in this world could have rather exaggerated tendencies.

"Then why don't we forget this happened and start over, my name is Spider and this is Midoriya. He's a huge fan and I'm sure he would love your autograph." Spider reached behind her and gently pulled her friend towards the pro who looked a little more in her element as Midoriya babbled a little bashfully about her achievements.

Extricating herself from the situation she made her way over to the most curious part of this stop.

The boy with red hat that had yellow horns on the front. He stood a bit behind the car and looked out over the cliff side, completely ignoring her.

"Nice hat." Spider tried to initiate a conversation but there was no response, just a quick jerk of his head in the opposite direction. "Man of few words hmm? I can respect that."

The Dovahkiin looked around and saw that her classmates were beginning to settle in by taking off jackets and placing them on the floor to sit on. This was after saying a big hello to their hosts and trying to forget the awkward situation Spider had caused. Again.

The three pros were discussing something by the bus when Spider had an amazing idea. Her attention was back to the boy whose name she still didn't know. "I've got a job for you if you're interested."

That got his attention. "What do I get out of it?" He asked without looking up.

Spider smiled. "100,000 yen and you're not allowed to ask questions."

He looked over to the brunette pro hero and finally deigned to give Spider his attention. That single nod probably changed the course of this boy's entire summer.

"Alright listen closely..."

Aizawa was quietly discussing the logistics of not having Spider attack them for what they planned to do when the kid that was with the other pro's ran up to them, looking between him and them. If he remembered correctly then this was Mandalay's nephew.

"I don't have any room in my class for another problem child." Aizawa said, trying to get at what the kit was after since he was currently just looking them all up and down as though thoroughly unimpressed.

"You all look pretty mangey, it's the reason everyone here is more a dog person." Kota quipped and quickly sped off towards the car while the three pro heroes just had the word stop turning.

This was an insult beyond measure. Aizawa was first and foremost a person who needed sleep, but followed very closely after that is his love of cats. Even so he doubted anything could compare to the look of complete shock on Mandalay and Pixie Bob's faces.

As one they looked to where the kid had dashed off to and were just in time to see who else but Spider hand the boy a wad of cash as they nodded to each other like old business partners. He wouldn't be surprised if they were on a first name basis by the end of the day.

"Is it too late to tell you we can't take your students this year?" Pixie Bob asked tightly, trying really hard to keep herself composed.

"Honestly, if you crush their hopes for this summer camp I think she might crush you in retaliation." Aizawa informed her.

"I figured." She responded and the three very carefully positioned themselves to block off anyone's escape path.

Mandalay stepped over to the fence and got everyone's attention by clapping her paws together. "Okay everyone listen up!" She gestured out to the forest below and began explaining the next step of this adventure. "We own this entire stretch of land out here, everything you can see and the summer camp you're staying at is there at the base of the mountain."

"That's far." Class 1A were masters at saying the obvious all at once.

Uraraka hesitantly raised her hand. "Uh, then why did we stop all the way up here instead?"

"I'm afraid we both know the answer to that." Asui replied.

"No way, that can't be right." Sato had a nervous sweat going.

Sero, brave, stupid Sero was next. "W-well, back on the bus. Quick!" He turned and started on his way back.

"Good Idea." Kaminari agreed. "Load up guys."

Mandalay started speaking again getting the two to pause. "The current time is 09:30 in the morning, if you're fast about it, you might make it there by noon." This caused a mass panic for the hero course students who all turned and made a mad dash for the bus. "Kitties who don't make it there by 12:30 won't get any lunch!" She shouted and leaped away towards her car.

"You should have guessed students. The training camp has already begun." Aizawa's words were punctuated when Pixie Bob cut the students off and turned the ground against them, an avalanche of dirt burst forth and propelled each of them towards the forest and over the edge of the cliff.

Spider had caught on that something was going to happen but thought it would be nothing more than a hike so she hadn't moved and was not impressed when dirt completely overwhelmed her and got in places that she really didn't appreciate dirt being in. Though she didn't have a lot of time to complain when she landed on her ass along with everyone else.

"Good news!" Mandalay called out from high above them. "This is private land so you can use your quirks as much as you want to get to base camp, you have three full hours so you should be able to get there in time for lunch... if you can get through the beasts forest!"

"How ominous." Spider commented as she rose to her feet and dusted herself off and trying to get the dirt out of her hair. She didn't.

Kaminari had landed close by and accepted a helping hand. "It sounds like something straight out of a fantasy game." He said.

"It sounds like something I don't want to deal with." Spider replied and everyone looked to her for answers on how to get through.

"Too bad!" Came the suspiciously lilting voice of Aizawa from up on his perch with the other pro heroes and the kid. "You can't teleport back up here and last time I checked, you can't fly. I'll see you at the facility if you make it before noon!"

'That son a bitch planned this, that's why he wanted me weakened. Worst part is he's right, I can't teleport myself or others and in this form I don't hav- oh now hold on a moment.' Spider's thoughts crashed into a simply beautiful idea and the wicked grin she flashed her teacher was enough to send his own self satisfied smirk running for the hills.

"Hey wai-" Eraser's voice was cut off when Spider's thuuum overwhelmed it.

"Durnehviir!"

At once the dried earth beneath their feet cracked and splintered from where they were standing all the way to the tree line and beyond, a feint purple glow emanating from deep within the depths as something began to push it's way out. A great rumbling that shook the ground below them was their first clue that whatever Spider summoned, it was big. Finally, a large bony tale burst from the earth sending chunks flying in every direction.

Beyond the treeline two great wings followed suit and uprooted everything in a wide area sending trees, shrubbery and a mud creature sailing high into air and arcing miles away from them. Using his mighty wings as leverage the creature pulled it's gigantic form out of the ground and stood to it's full height as the earth closed beneath it's feet. Durnehviir turned himself around allowing his tail to slice clean through a number of thick trees so that he could see his summoner and her cohorts.

A huge hulking dragon stared down at them, half decayed from his cursed state his skull had no scales over the upper left segment leaving only bone and a hollow hole staring where his eye should have been. Durnehviir's wings looked heavily weathered with many large tears in the leathery flesh calling his ability to fly into question for anyone who saw their sorry state though it in no way took away from the sheer size of the wings themselves since each was as big several modest houses. Across the dragon's entire body his greyish green scales almost seemed to ooze off of him culminating into the nightmarish image of the undead dovah.

"Drem yol lok Qahnaarin." He greeted Spider before looking to the shell-shocked teenagers literally trembling on the ground in front of him. At his full heiht, Durnehviir towered over even the pros up on the cliff and was slowly putting some pieces together from the way everyone below was covered in dirt whilst the others were clean.

"Drem yol lok Durnehviir. A pleasure as always." Spider replied, grin still plastered on her face. "I could use a lift."

The dragon nodded and his tail swept out from behind him over the heads of the students causing a gust of wind to blow over them. He gently lowered the last few meters of his limb to the ground and Spider gracefully stepped onto it so she could be lifted high into air. Durnehviir raised the tip of his tail to his head and the Dragonborn stepped from one to the other and then looked down on the three pros who thought they'd had this in the bag.

"What was that about wings?" Spider asked rhetorically and made gesture Durnehviir understood as her wanting to fly for dramatic effect. With a great leap he catapulted into the sky and beat his wings to climb ever higher.

The absolute chaos she left in her wake could only be described as maddening. The students were either freaking the fuck out over the literal monster that was easily taller than most buildings or freaking out in a good way because THAT WAS SO COOL! Does how is it able to fly with it's wings all torn up? Does it breath fire like the dragons in fairy tails or has that part decayed too much like it's skull to allow for fire breath? Why did she only now summon him when he would have been so useful before in training and the USJ? How did she summon him? Why is no one else asking these questions?

Yeah, I'll give you three guesses on who's in the second half of that category.

On the cliff side Mandalay and Pixie Bob were doing their own freak out on Aizawa whilst also trying to keep Kota from curling into a ball out of fear because he is a five year old boy who just saw possibly the scariest thing he will ever encounter in his life.

Aizawa himself? All the practice he's had at watching and experiencing the batshit crazy things Spider's 'quirk' can do must be paying off because his internal freak out only lasted thirty seconds before he managed to reign in his emotions.

The Pussy Cats were still yelling something at him but he held up his hand and eventually they quieted down long enough for him to speak. He looked from the blonde to the brunette and back again before looking to the sky where the big fuck off undead dragon was still very much there and not a fever dream.

"That." He pointed to the creature and looked back to the pros. "Is not my job."

Eraser promptly turned around and got back on the bus. Taking his seat by the front he pulled a bottle of triple distilled premium vodka out of his capture scarf, pulled out the cork and took one long gulp. Holding his precious alcohol close, Aizawa sat very still, taking slow, deep breaths. After judging himself to be too sober for this bullshit, he thanked the miracles of technology and set the bus to auto pilot.

High above it all, the two old friends circled the skies above the forest. Spider had slotted herself in the nook of Durnehviir's neck and had pulled out her daedric bow along with a quiver of low grade explosive arrows (and by low grade she means someone else made them).

"It's been too long since I've practiced archery." She said, nocking an arrow and drawing it back until the feathers brushed her cheek.

Durnehviir's low rumble must have been what he counted as laughter. "Til los nid heyv." (There is no need). The Dragon's wings thundered against the heavy air as the morning sun beat down on the two wanderers. "You have always been more up close and personal with your prey Qahnaarin."

Spider smirked and let loose the arrow, watching it glide back towards the earth and narrowly bypass the thick branches of the trees before burying itself into into a mud creature that had tried to sneak behind Kaminari. The explosive was on a two second countdown from impact so her friend had enough time to turn around after hearing the dull thump of the arrow hitting its mark when he was covered in a second shower of dirt.

"You have a point, but it's good to use something different every now and then or I'll become predictable." The Dovahkiin responded as she selected another arrow from her quiver.

Durnehviir made an interested sound. "It would seem your new friends have already started figuring you out." He surmised.

Spider quirked a brow and turned to the dragon's large head that had turned so he could side eye her with the Dovah equivalent of a grin. "And what makes you think that?"

"You use a new trick when you think someone will start to get bored of you." He explained.

Spider huffed a laugh and shook her head.

"Doubtful." "Doubtful."

The Dragonborn glared at Durnehviir as she practically felt the smug rolling off of him. "Lets play the quiet game." She eventually said and proceeded to spend the next few hours happily using the mud creatures and Bakugo as target practice. Kidding about the Bakugo part, obviously. That one shot was an accident.

Once everyone had arrived at base camp it was around two in the afternoon, the sun in the second half of its arc across the clear blue sky and shining brightly on an exhausted class of aspiring heroes. And a dragon. Can't forget that no matter how much alcohol you consume.

Durnehviir touched down along the edges of the large clearing which had a few two or three story buildings attached to each other at its centre. Spider jumped from her perch and fell to one knee as the impact from the fall brought her down harder than she had anticipated.

'This spell is stronger than the last one I used, I'll need to be careful of Aizawa's tricks for the next day or so.' Spider thought as she rose to her feet and dusted the dirt off of her knee before making her way towards her friends. Pixie Bob was complimenting Bakugo, Iida, Todoroki and Izuku on their combat abilities that they'd displayed in getting here and the Dovahkiin was fairly certain she heard the hero threaten to adopt them. It made her possessive streak come out but the growl was quickly silenced before anyone could hear.

Quite typically the first thing that she saw Midoriya do as soon as he was finished being flustered over compliments from a real life pro hero oh my god was this even real? Was to rush towards her and start freaking out over the dragon. Spider waited patiently for the faster than light analysis of everything he'd observed so far about Durnehviir, including but not limited to the decayed flesh, ripped wings, flight capability, ability to speak, and the fact she can summon him, to be over before she placed a hand on his back and started walking towards her larger friend.

"How about we go say 'Hi' hmm?" Spider asked with a smile whilst the other students watched from a safe distance. No sense in all of them getting eaten right?

Midoriya immediately began being half panicked and half excited. "A-are you sure he won't mind? I mean he's a-a- wait what is he?"

"A dragon, little hero." She supplied.

"A DRAGON!"

Durnehviir's deep rumbling that mimicked a laugh was both heard and felt by all in the area. "Indeed mal gein."(Little one). His huge head lowered more to their level so that he could get a better look at them both and Spider swore he did the dragon equivalent of a double take as recognition flashed in his undead eyes. "... Just as you are a human now."

Midoriya's brows furrowed, as did Spider's.

"What do you mean 'now'? I've always been human, ask my mom." Midoriya responded.

Durnehviir then looked to Spider and tilted his giant head. He got a head tilt back along with a look that said 'if you keep making this awkward I will banish you' so the dragon did the smart thing and changed the subject.

"No matter, you had questions for me?"

What proceeded was an hour long Q and A with real honest to goodness dragon until Izuku had filled up not one or two, but three notebooks worth of information and stories that the old dovah had told him. Spider added to bits that were embellished but she wasn't actually there for a lot of it so it was mostly just watching her friends thoroughly enjoy themselves. Durnehviir liked attention and Izuku was always keen to give it, a match made in oblivion.

They were interrupted from the fun however when the owner of a small voice that had failed to be heard from how far away he was, decided to throw a small rock towards the trio which skidded to a halt on the ground between them. Looking over, they saw Kota standing almost perfectly still while simultaneously trying to be as small as possible.

"D-" His voice died and he had to look away before trying again. "Dinner's ready."

Spider took the opportunity to drag Izuku away for a meal because who knew if he would remember to eat with a literal dragon willing to talk to him just standing right there in front of them. "Lovely. Izuku, Kota, you two go ahead. I need to speak with Durnehviir privately for a moment."

The teen looked like he wanted to argue but a sudden growling in his midsection cut off that idea real quick. "I guess I am pretty hungry." He bashfully put a hand to the back of his neck and smiled in slight embarrassment.

The greenette jogged over to the boy he now knew as Kota and placed a hesitant hand on the fearful boy's shoulder, he flinched and looked up to Izuku who smiled kindly. "Don't worry, he's not so scary when you get to know him."

Kota looked back to the colossal creature and found it very, very, very, very, very, very hard to believe that.

"Better get going. He likes to bite." Spider grinned wickedly as Kota instantly shot off and Midoriya jogged after him trying to comfort the poor kid. "That never gets old."

Durnehviir's rough exhale told her he agreed. "I can see why you chose to stay in this place for so long."

"Hmm, it's an interesting world even if it's full of pretentious jackasses and more idiots than I care to count." Spider replied, crossing her arms even as the grin on her face softened into a pleasant smile.

The dragon turned and looked at her carefully as the Dovahkiin watched the retreating form of her green haired 'friend' disappear into the main building. "You... do not see it?"

"See... what?"

"He is almost a perfect replacement for what you lost. The boy is practically an older version of your-" Durnehviir stopped as purple flames began licking at the edges of his frame and the cold of his eternal hellscape beckoned him back towards it.

Spider's outstretch hand looked dangerously close to completing the motion that would send him hurtling back to his personal realm of torture.

"Do not..." She held her hand steady and breathed deeply once, twice, then a third time before releasing the spell and the purple flames disappeared without a trace. "I've moved on, and I will never look nor find a replacement for either of them. I don't wish to speak of this again."

An uneasy silence accompanied the two until Durnehviir bowed his head in acquiescence. "As you wish, Qahnaarin. What was it you wished to discuss?"

Spider nodded and banished the spell. This was more like it. Where she was in control and the old bastard didn't throw curve balls that dug up long dead memories of a similar boy with forest green- No, no. That's enough of that.

"Aizawa seems insistent that I stay in a weakened state for this training camp, likely in the guise of training me to be more durable whilst actually trying to teach me humility." Durnehviir huffed in amusement at that. "I have yet to deal with the so called villains plaguing my class and I don't like the risk I'm taking just to keep my teacher happy, so you will be staying for the remainder of the week as added security."

"And if I find intruders, you want me to kill them on sight?"

Spider's wicked grin returned in all its vigour. "No, I'll want to play with them first."

Who's up for a body swap chapter? It'll make sense I swear.

**Funny idea**

Izuku: God, I need someone to be my friend... maybe send me an angel? The nicest one you have.

Daedric Prince Sheogorath: How about we compromise, she'll be nice to you.

Spider: *Covered in blood for no discernible reason*

Sheogorath: ...Maybe.

Thank you for reading.
