Hey guys here's the next chapter! Enjoy!
Yugi gulped as he watched Odion cautiously. What was he doing here? What was he going to do to him?
"He's going to pleasure me?" Odion asked Akefia.
"Oh believe me, he is very well trained." Akefia said. "Up." He ordered at Yugi.
Yugi gulped and slowly came to his feet his wrists still chained. He stared down as Akefia ran a hand down his chest. Yugi didn't dare budge an inch. He knew that would only make it worse.
"He will do his job perfectly. Won't you Yugi?" Akefia asked him a warning in his tone.
"Yes master." Yugi whispered.
"Good. I'll leave you to it." Akefia said before leaving the room.
Yugi stared down at the ground. "Whatever you would like from me it's yours." He muttered.
"Come here." Odion said. Yugi went to him and stood in front of him keeping his eyes down. "I am not going to do anything to you. I am working on getting you out."
Yugi looked up at him. "What? But how did you know I was here?"
"Marik saw you being taken when he was in kingdom selling resources." Odion said.
Yugi looked down. "You might as well just give up. Nothing and no one can get me past Akefia."
"I have a few things I can do. Just listen and do exactly what I say." Odion said.
Yugi nodded.
"My pharaoh, we have word on your slave." A guard said running into the throne room.
"What is it?" Atem demanded.
"His location." He said.
"Then what are you waiting for? Get him!" Atem ordered.
Odion held Yugi. "Do me a favor and block your ears and close your eyes."
"Huh?" Yugi asked looking up at him. "Why?"
"Just do it." Odion said.
Yugi covered his ears and closed his eyes tight. A moment later he heard muffled smashing sounds. Odion held Yugi tight. Yugi whimpered. After some time, he could hear Odion's muffled yells to someone.
Odion uncovered his ears. "Open your eyes Yugi."
Yugi did so and looked up at him. Odion was smiling. "Time to go home."
He blinked completely confused but didn't fight it as Odion used the key to the chains Akefia had put on him to take them off. "How did you..?"
"Don't worry about it." Odion said as he lifted him.
Yugi glanced back at where he watched Akefia being chained and tossed into a large cage on wheels. He'd known that before. When he was between tradings.
"Don't look back Yugi. He can't touch you again." Odion said.
"Odion how did you manage to do this?" Yugi asked. "And w-when you say home…"
"Yes, you are going back to the pharaoh. And do not worry about the hows." Odion said.
Yugi nodded. Back to Atem. Yugi wasn't sure whether to be happy or not. Atem confused him. A lot.
Atem sat in his throne room waiting for the arrival of his slave and someone called Odion. He heard his doors open and looked up to see Akefia being dragged in. He was in chains. One connecting to a metal ring around his neck, one to cuffs around his wrists, and one to cuffs around his ankles. He leaned up and watched as Akefia was forced to his knees in front of him.
"Akefia." Atem growled.
"Pharaoh." Akefia glared with a wicked smirk. "If you wanted to see me so bad you could have just sent an invitation."
"You dare jest now?" Atem growled. "You break into my palace and steal my property and you jest!?"
Akefia shook his bangs from his face. "Last I checked you stole my property. He was mine first." He sneered.
"Yours? You are nothing but a lowly thief!" Atem yelled. His doors opened again. This time Odion and Yugi walked in with some guards. "Yugi."
Yugi looked up from the ground and smiled. His entire body hurt but his heart was surprisingly glad to see Atem again.
"Go on." Odion whispered.
Yugi nodded and ran to Atem. Atem pulled him close and held him.
"You act as though he is more of a friend than a slave." Akefia smirked.
"My king." Odion came up and bowed.
"Odion." Atem said. "Thank you."
"There is something you must know." Odion said.
"What is it?" Atem asked.
"Akefia and Bakura took Yugi as a child after killing his mother." Odion said.
Yugi stared down again. He hated remembering that day.
"Yugi's full name is Yugi Souta Moto." Odion explained. He pulled out two scrolls.
"Souta. As in.." Atem trailed off.
"Yes, my Pharaoh. The very same." Odion said. He walked to them and handed the scrolls to Atem.
Yugi looked between them confused. What did his name have to do with anything? His mother never used his full name. The one time she did she cried for ours afterwards. He hated making her upset so he never brought it up.
"Yugi where are you from?" Atem asked.
"O-outside the kingdom. Mama had a house in the valley." Yugi said. "She said she found it when she was pregnant with me. But the story made her sad."
"Yugi." Atem said softly and opened the first scroll. He read it over before looking at the second. "Guards I want new clothes for him. The finest you can find."
"Sire?" a guard asked confused. Yugi felt the same way honestly.
"I will explain later. I also want Akefia taken to the dungeon. He is charged with many charges but the largest is kidnapping of royalty." Atem said.
"What royalty!?" Akefia growled.
Atem looked at Yugi. "Prince Yugi Souta Moto."
Yugi stared at him. "Prince?"
"Yes." Atem said as the guards took Akefia out.
Yugi's legs felt very week. He couldn't be a prince. He was just a lowly peasant. He grew up in a house not palace. His mother wasn't a queen. They were poor.
Odion bowed. "If you no longer need me my pharaoh I must get back to my family."
"You are dismissed. I will make this up to you in the near future." Atem told him. Odion bowed to Yugi next who looked away. He hated the idea of others bowing to him.
"Guards bring the clothes to my chambers. Yugi and I will be there waiting." Atem said. They bowed and nodded. "Let's go Yugi. I'll explain in the privacy of my chambers."
Yugi followed him. There was nothing to explain. He wasn't a prince. He couldn't be. If that were the case, why was he born in a shack? Why was he poor growing up? Why wasn't he in a palace and who was his father?
Atem sat on the bed and pulled Yugi close. "Yugi you are the long-lost prince of the northern kingdom."
"No. I can't be. I wasn't born in a palace. I wasn't raised in one. My mother was poor." Yugi said.
"I have an explanation." He opened one of the scrolls. "This is something your mother left. It explains everything. Your mother was taken from the kingdom when she was pregnant with you. She was going to be sold but managed to escape. But fearing she'd be taken again and not wanting you to be in danger she settled on the outside of my kingdom. At the time my father was pharaoh. There she had you and decided to raise you away from the palace and your bloodline."
Yugi read over the scroll. Atem was right. It was her handwriting and it explained how they got to the shack. "But then who is my father?"
"That is where the second scroll comes in." Atem said. He opened it. "It's your bloodline."
Yugi looked it over. He was the son of the king of the Northern Kingdom. Souta was the name passed down to each generation of heirs. "Is he still alive?"
"He is." Atem nodded. "I can summon him. But Yugi this means you are no longer my slave. You are a prince and will be treated as such."
"Atem, I don't know the first thing about being a prince. I…I've always been someone else's property." Yugi said looking down.
"It's ok. I will help you. You can stay here as long as you'd like." Atem said.
Yugi nodded. "I'm tired."
"Sleep. I will wake you when it's time to eat." Atem laid him down. He smiled as Yugi passed out almost instantly.
Yugi ran laughing just outside the house as his mother watched him. "Mama mama!" he ran to her. "Mama watch this!" He ran to a large hill of boulders and began climbing up them.
"Yugi get down!" she called from the bottom.
He giggled and continued.
"Yugi now!" she yelled.
He continued to ignore her and climb.
"Yugi Souta Moto! Down here now!" she yelled. That made him stop. He began to get down.
He stood in front of her staring down at his feet. Hearing sniffles he looked up at her to find her crying. "Mama? I'm sorry."
"Oh baby." She picked him up and held him close. "Just like your father." She muttered. "His guards always had a hard time with him. My little prince."
"Mama I'm not a prince." Yugi said.
Yugi woke with a start. He never remembered her speaking of his father. He sat up and looked around. "Atem?"
"I'm here." Atem came in holding some clothes. "Your clothes are here. Why don't we get you dressed? I sent a guard to summon your father here but it is two day's travel time."
"That may be better. I'm….I'm not ready for this." Yugi said.
"Hey. It's ok." Atem said helping him dress. "I will help you."
Yugi sat in Atem's chambers reading. Two days had passed, and his father was to arrive today. He didn't know how to feel honestly. Scared mostly. Especially because he was covered in scars and bruises from Akefia and Bakura. Would his father accept him after everything he'd done and been through?
"Prince Yugi. Your father has arrived." A guard said entering. Atem had work to do and had told him to stay and relax until his father got there. For that he was thankful.
Yugi nodded and stood. He straightens his clothes as much as he could before following the guard to the throne room. Taking a deep breath, he nodded for them to open the doors and allow him in. There, a man who looked like him stood in front of Atem.
"I do not understand Pharaoh Atem. Why have you summoned me?" the man asked.
"King Souta, I have found something you lost many years ago." Atem said. "And I wish for you to see. I do so hope you'll be grateful."
"What could I possibly have lost?" Souta asked confused.
"Turn and see." Atem said nodding to Yugi.
Souta turned and looked at Yugi his eyes immediately widening.
"Hello father." Yugi said softly.
"My….my son." Souta said. "Oh Ra." He went to him. "But…but how. Your mother was taken when pregnant with you. Your mother. Is she here as well?"
Yugi looked down. "Mama died w-when I was very young."
"Oh my love." Souta said sadly.
"I am sorry father. I did not know of my bloodline. Mama kept it hidden for my protection. I only recently found out. Pharaoh Atem he….I wouldn't be where I am without him." Yugi said.
Souta pulled him into a tight hug. "My son." Yugi felt tears fall as he hugged him back.
"Your grandfather with be so happy to see you. And your uncle." Souta said.
"I have a grandfather and uncle?" Yugi asked.
"Yes." He said nodding.
Yugi smiled excited to see them until Atem caught his eye. The smile fell. He had to leave Atem? But how could he?
"Father. I would love to see them. But Atem…" he looked down.
Souta raised his chin. "Do you love him?"
Yugi gulped is that the feeling he'd had? Love. He'd only ever experienced it from his mother. "I…I do father."
"Then here is what I propose." Souta looked to Atem. "A combining of kingdoms. Through marriage."
"What?" Yugi asked.
"You are my heir. You will need a spouse and I believe Atem does as well. Our kingdoms will both thrive from it, and you are in love. It is perfect." Souta said.
"I…really?" Yugi looked to Atem.
Atem smiled. "Marry me."
Yugi smiled as tears fell. He ran to Atem and hugged him. "I will marry you."
Souta smiled. "My son. You are back. Then I shall summon your grandfather and uncle here."
Yugi nodded. He had a family. He had a soon to be husband and he no longer had to be a slave. Everything was going to be ok.
Bakura watched from outside the palace. "Oh yes rejoice now little Yugi. Because it will not last long."
