A/N: Honestly have no idea what this is. Call it an experiment. I don't know. It's an OCxBucky and events do not play out the way they did. So it's just, I don't know what to call it but I think it works.

Married to the Job

"Shaw!" Barnes yelled across the gym. "Care to roll around the mat with me?"

"Only if you promise not to cry this time," She yelled back, laying in her punches on the punching bag.

"How can someone that looks like that," Bucky told Steve observing the small girl, "Do as much damage as she can?"

"Buck," Steve warned, "She's a really good agent for S.H.I.E.L.D. you shouldn't tease her so much."

"But I really like when she gets angry," Bucky watched the girl some more.

Evelyn Shaw was smaller than most girls. She barely stood at five foot tall but she was a martial arts expert, she was also proficient with knives and could take down both super soldiers in hand to hand combat.

"And have you seen her spin her knives?" Bucky had to bite into his fist to stop from moaning out loud.

"Are you really interested in her or is it just part of a chase for you?" Steve asked.

"I'd like the chance to find out but Shaw never lets me close enough." Bucky sighed.

"Well maybe try talking to her and not flirting with her and see what happens," Steve patted his friend on the shoulder and left the gym.

Bucky moved across the gym to where Evelyn was working the punching bags. He came up and held it for her while she hit it.

"Hey Evie," Bucky gave her a smile from behind the punching bag, using the nickname he only called her to her face.

"What do you want, Barnes?" Evelyn stepped back and observed the man.

"Maybe I just want to spend time with you," He said sincerely.

"Trust me, I know how you like to spend time with S.H.I.E.L.D agents," She rolled her eyes. "There's a class at the academy that's dedicated to not falling for Bucky Barnes' charms."

"That hurts, right here," He pointed to his heart, "I feel like you have to make up for hurting my feelings now."

"Sure Barnes, I'll get right on that," Evelyn walked away, unhooking her gloves from her hands.

"Hate to see you go but love to watch you walk away, Shaw!" Bucky yelled after her.

As soon as Evelyn was in the locker room, she leaned against the wall and breathed hard, talking to herself.

"Get it together, Shaw. You will not fall for Bucky Barnes' charming ways. He's just going to break your heart."

This routine had been going on for the last year she had been with the Avengers. She knew Barnes was Rogers' best friend and sidekick but there was a lot of chatter about his flirtatious ways at the academy. Girls who interned with the Avengers swooned over his dreamy looks and old time manners but he never really took to any of them. Evelyn hoped she was different but was too afraid to risk it. She and Steve were really good friends. She tried to be friendly with Barnes, even inviting him to their movie nights or to dinner but he either flirts outrageously with her or someone else in front of her.

She showered and changed before making her way to the daily meeting for the Avengers. Once she entered the room Barnes tried to signal that he saved her a seat next to him. Evelyn looked to Natasha for help but found all the other seats taken. Nat mouthed a sorry in her direction and Evelyn took her seat next to Barnes.

"So here's the deal," Stark started the meeting. "S.H.I.E.L.D thinks that a new drug is being pushed in the clubs downtown."

Evelyn knew this was true after her meeting earlier in the week with Director Fury.

Stark continued, "We're going to spread out into pairs and hit a few of the big clubs. Do some recon only. We are only observing."

He gave Nat and Evelyn specific looks at the order. They tended to be a little hot-heated and acted before thinking.

"How are we pairing off?" Barnes was the one to ask.

"Wait, what are these drugs and why is S.H.I.E.L.D interested?" Steve asked.

"Shaw you're up," Stark waved her forward.

"So the Director said that these drugs are similar to ecstasy but they also lower your inhibitions so much that you're likely to commit crimes you've ever thought of committing. It's just a way to have chaos rain. Since the drug was found out, crime has gone up 36% alone just in the city in the last month." Evelyn found the remote control to work the projector and showed some crime scene photos from the crimes that had been committed. "There's been a spike in murders, kidnappings, and theft. You name it, it's happening. And whenever the perp is caught they can't remember why they did it and one of the last things they remember is taking the drug."

"So again I ask, how are we pairing off?" Barnes asked again.

"Well Cap and Nat are a good pair," Stark started.

"Dibs on Shaw," Barnes looked proud of himself.

"You know what, that might just work," Stark looked at her, asking if it was okay. She gave him a nod and he finished pairing off the rest of the Avengers.

Later that night Evelyn came down from her room in a tight black, sparkly mini dress. Her heels were tall and sparkled as she walked. Barnes stood at the bottom of the steps waiting for her in a black suit jacket and tight black jeans.

"Evie," He praised her, "Seriously, wow."

"Well thank you Barnes," She took his hand that he had outstretched to her.

"I don't know how that dress is going to do on the back of my bike though," Bucky looked her up and down. "But you look too good to change."

"Wait, motorcycle?" Evelyn came to a stop, "I am not dressed for a motorcycle ride."

"I promise I won't let anyone see anything," Bucky crossed his heart with his fingers. "You're my date for the night and I promise to treat you as such."

"We're working," She deadpanned.

"Undercover," he clarified, "which means it needs to be as real as possible."

"You wish," she stuck her tongue out at him and the pair came to a stop in front of the motorcycle in question.

Bucky straddled the bike and turned to Evelyn, nodding his head to the spot behind him. She kicked a leg over the bike and tried to pull her dress down. She scooted as close to Bucky as possible.

"Wrap your arms around my middle," Bucky took her hands around his sides and felt her chest pressed against his back.

When she spoke, her lips were just under his ear and Bucky had to close his eyes to stop from groaning, "If you crash and kill us, I will murder you."

"You say the sweetest things, Evie," Bucky laughed before taking off at a neck breaking speed.

Bucky weaved in and out of traffic. Evelyn leaned and swayed with him, feeling wild and free. She kept her hands tight around him but they lowered from his middle, down to his waist with her face pressed against his back.

When they came to a stop, Bucky put the kickstand down and looked back at Evelyn with a grin.

"Alright sweetheart, game face on, ready?" Bucky raised an eyebrow at her and she nodded back, falling into the role they had spoken about earlier in the day.

She went to move off the bike but his hand on her bare thigh stopped her. His taller stature allowed him to get off without her moving. He gave her a wolfish grin and picked her up bridal style off the bike, making sure her dress was pulled down far enough for Evelyn's underthings to not be exposed to the crowded street.

Bucky set her down and watched her wiggle her dress down a bit more. She fluffed her hair and looked up at him biting her lip. She crooked a finger at him for him to lean down and kissed his cheek in thanks.

Bucky wrapped an arm around Evelyn's shoulders and the pair made their way to the obscenely busy club. Stark had gotten their names on the VIP list, well, names they were using, and they bypassed the long line wrapped around the building.

Evelyn walked in front of Bucky. He kept his hands on her hips, not wanting them to be separated. She swayed to the music as she walked, falling quickly into the undercover mission. She was a typical club girl. She acted as though she was already drunk.

"Let's get a drink, sweetheart," Bucky whispered in her ear.

Evelyn nodded to him with a wide smile. She leaned against the bar and flirted with the bartender. That was her plan. The bartenders usually knew exactly who was peddling what throughout the clubs and usually they were in on it.

"If someone was looking for a little more, fun, where would they start?" Evelyn cooed at the bartender.

The man looked from her to Bucky, hovering behind her and shook his head handing them their drinks.

"You're too scary," Evelyn pouted at him.

"You like it," He winked at her.

They laughed and sipped their drinks, observing the club and how crowded it was. Bucky wasn't happy about the sheer amount of people but kept a keen eye on Evelyn at all times. He even walked her to the bathroom and waited outside for her just in case.

"Dance with me, babe," Evelyn grinned as she came out of the bathroom.

He took her to the middle of the dance floor, keeping his hands on her waist. Her's went around his neck and she placed her hand at the base of his neck pulling him down to her. To most it would look like they were kissing. Their lips were a hair's breadth away from each other but with as much talking as they needed to do they shifted and one's mouth would be at an ear and then they would switch as they spoke.

"So there's a girl in the bathroom, loudly talking about her boyfriend and his dealings," Evelyn told Bucky. "They noticed you and think you're a cop though."

"What happened?" Bucky held her even tighter afraid their cover was blown.

"I told them you were in the mob," Evelyn threw her head back laughing slightly, "Well I said you were connected."

"Then what?" Bucky moved against Evelyn but tried to focus on her words and not her body.

"I asked for a taste," Evelyn spun, placing her back to Bucky's chest as she danced.

"And did you get it?" Bucky's hands moved around to her stomach, making her arch back against him.

"Course and contact information if your friends are interested." Evelyn's hands wound over her head trying to find Bucky's neck.

Bucky noticed he was being watched more intently. He didn't like it and was sure their cover was blown. His lips went to Evelyn's ear immediately and told her it was time to go. She looked back at him with a pout, thinking it was part of the cover but then she saw his eyes and knew he was serious.

The pair left the dance floor and left the club. Bucky crossed the street holding onto Evelyn's hand tightly. He peeked behind them and they were being followed. Bucky took his phone from his pocket and dialed Steve's number. He passed the phone to Evelyn.

"Tell your brother you won't be home tonight sweetheart, we've got plans." Bucky gave her a sneer of a grin.

"Bucky?" Steve's voice came through the phone.

"It's me brother dear," Evelyn giggled into the phone. "I was told to tell you I won't be home tonight."

"Are you guys safe?" Steve asked full of concern.

"Of course we're having fun, that's why I don't want to come home!" Evelyn pretended to stumble across the street as they walked.

"Have Bucky call me as soon as you're clear. We'll try to get eyes in the sky." Steve hung up.

"I don't think he's happy with me babe," Evelyn pouted, coming to a stop at the parked motorcycle.

"I know baby, but I'll take such good care of you," Bucky tried to tell Evelyn he was sorry with his eyes before he grabbed her face and gave her a sloppy but enticing kiss.

"Hey!" A voice came from behind them.

"Busy," Bucky told the man, as he continued to kiss Evelyn.

"Look buddy, my girl said your girl," Bucky snapped, leaning Evelyn against the bike and swiveled around ready to fight.

"I don't really give a fuck what your girl said," Bucky pointed at Evelyn, "Do you see what she looks like right now?"

Evelyn put on a bit of a show, rubbing her thighs together, eyelids hooded with lust and licking her lips.

"If you and your goons hadn't been eyeing me like a bunch of pigs all night," Bucky took a menacing step towards the man, "We might have been able to talk. Now you're interrupting me. That's two strikes."

"Babe," Evelyn whined, "I need you, can we go?"

"One second sweetheart," Bucky raised an eyebrow at the man and waited for him to speak.

"You're him aren't you? The Soldier." The man gulped.

"Have a good night," Bucky grinned and climbed on the motorcycle, signalling for Evelyn to join him. She 'drunkenly' waved to the man and they took off.

Bucky watched in the mirrors and noticed they were definitely being followed. He gave Evelyn's thigh a squeeze and she scooted as close as possible and spoke into his ear asking what was wrong.

He weaved through traffic again, attempting to lose his tail. He definitely didn't want to return to the compound because as he was slowly piecing together, this was bigger than the Avengers. This had Hydra written all over it.

Bucky pulled into a hotel, leaving his bike with a valet. He once again swooped up Evelyn from the back. She stayed in her character, giggling into his neck.

"There's at least three of them," She whispered in his ear.

"I got you baby girl," Bucky kissed her nose as he set her down.

They went inside and got a room for the night under one of Bucky's old aliases. The whole time Evelyn played the perfect drunk girlfriend. She had her hands wandering over Bucky, she danced to the music playing in the lobby and even kicked off her shoes. They walked to the elevator with Bucky whispering in her ear.

"There's four. Two outside and two in the lobby," Bucky ran his hands over her as they waited for the elevator. Once inside and alone they relaxed.

"This is bad isn't it?" Evelyn looked at Bucky.

"I think I just put you in a lot of danger and I don't think we'll be going to the compound for a while." Bucky ran his hand through his hair, typing out a message to Steve.

"E safe with me. Got a big H problem. Meet in a.m. You know where." Bucky sent the message and explained some to Evelyn.

"Steve and I always have contingencies for missions, even different from regular team contingencies."

When they got to their floor, the men from the lobby were already waiting. Bucky sighed and pushed the keycard into Evelyn's hands.

"Sweetheart, go on inside and get ready for me, I want you on that bed, naked when I walk in, alright?" Bucky gave her a firm pat on the butt.

She wanted to glare at him. They were partners on this mission.

"Hurry babe, I need you," She pulled him down for a kiss, making a good show of it in front of the men.

Once Evelyn was inside, Bucky threw his hands up at the men.

"You realize this is strike three right? I'm a very unhappy man." The men seemed very afraid and he realized they were quite low on the totem pole of Hydra.

"Mr. Pierce wishes to see you, sir," One of them stuttered out.

"I don't answer to Pierce anymore," Bucky told them, "And I thought he was dead."

"Um that was, well," The second man answered, "this is the young Mr. Pierce."

Bucky gave a nod. "2 days. There's a warehouse. Corner of 18th and Cedar. Noon."

"But sir, he wants you to," The first man held out a card with an address.

"If he wants to meet with me, he meets on my terms, especially after he's interrupted my night," Bucky raised an eyebrow, "Now go and if I see another one of you in the next two days, you'll be going home in a body bag. Make sure Pierce knows that."

The men went to leave and Bucky called out to them, "And work on being covert or you're going to end up dead."

He knocked on the door and Evelyn let him inside, she was holding a large knife and he wondered exactly where that had been hidden all night long.

"It's okay, it's okay!" He held both hands up.

"This is not even a little okay!" She yelled at him in a whisper just in case the men didn't actually leave.

"Are you mad at me for kissing you?" Bucky's eyebrows pinched together.

"No you idiot," She pushed him slightly, "You're my partner. We're partners and you treated me like some little arm candy."

"Baby doll, with this, on this mission, I'm afraid that's exactly what you're going to be," He sighed and moved them further into the room. He fell back onto the bed. "But I know you're the best eyes and ears and there's no one else I'd rather be my partner on this."

"I just don't understand, doesn't Hydra know you're back with Steve and the Avengers?" Evelyn asked.

"No, I'm like a shadow, even on missions. After SIberia and Zemo, I spent a lot of time in Wakanda," Bucky explained. "Even when I do help the Avengers, it's a lot of intel and quiet things. I'm not like Steve or Tony, out in the open, being seen."

"I guess I never realized," Evelyn played with the hem of her dress. "What do we do now?"

"We try and get some sleep," Bucky sat up and took off his jacket and then pulled his shirt off.

"Um Barnes, what the hell are you doing?" She covered her eyes.

"Oh stop it, you've seen me shirtless in the gym a hundred times. I figured you'd need something to sleep in," He pried her hand from her eyes and handed her his shirt.

"There's only one bed," She mumbled.

"Look, these people, they know you're my girl and if we're going to be partners, you're going to have to be my girl, okay?" Bucky hugged Evelyn tightly.

"This is going to end so badly, Barnes," She moved to the bathroom with his shirt and went to change.

"This woman is going to kill me," Bucky covered his face with his hands, one metal, one real.

Evelyn offered to sleep in shifts but Bucky said they would be fine. Sometime during the night they ended up cuddling together, Bucky's hands on her bare thighs and her hand on his chest. They woke to a knock on the door and Evelyn again wielded her knife before approaching the door.

There was no one there but instead a suitcase. She looked down the hall, both ways, before wheeling the suitcase into the room.

He took the bag from her and shoved her in the bathroom before he opened in. Just in case.

"Barnes if you don't let me out of here!" She screamed through the door.

"We don't know what's in here!" He yelled back.

Once it was opened and deemed safe, he set her free and the pair found clothes, toiletries, burner phones, weapons, and a note from Steve and Tony. There was also a small looking jewelry box.

S&T

"Well," Evelyn sighed, opening the small box with a gasp, "At least you have good taste."

"This isn't funny Evie," He took the box from her. "This could get really complicated."

"Look, let's go into this with honesty," Evelyn wrung her hands together, "Is this more than a job to you?"

"Evie," He went back to the suitcase, "You know I like you."

"Well, I thought you only liked the chase, prove to me you're not just playing with me," Evelyn grinned, finding her favorite knife set in the suitcase. "They think we're a couple, we can still do couple things. Hell of a first date Barnes."

He threw his back in a laugh. "You're insane."

She held up the box and grinned at him, "Yeah but you married me."

He took the box from her again and took out the large diamond ring with a delicate band. He rolled it in between his fingers and looked down at Evelyn. She held her hand out to him with a grin. He slipped the ring on her finger and spoke quietly.

"I promise to protect you through all of this," He kissed the ring on her hand and finished, "I promise to get you home and to get us through this mission."

She took the other ring from the box and slipped it onto his metal hand. "I promise to be your partner, to be your eyes and ears and to make sure we always have a weapon even if you don't pack one."

"You have to tell me where that knife was hidden all night," Bucky laughed at her.

"Two words, Barnes," she pushed up on her toes and whispered in his ear, "thigh holster."

He groaned, "Yeah, you're going to be the death of me."

Evelyn took a change of clothes and her toiletries bag from the suitcase and moved to the bathroom. Bucky took his turn in the bathroom and came back out to find Evelyn playing with the new ring on her hand.

"Feel weird?" He asked her, pushing his longer hair behind his ears.

"Weirdly right," she laughed. "Alright, I think we're all packed up and ready to go."

Bucky took the note with the address. He memorized it and handed it to Evelyn. Once she gave him a nod, he took a lighter that was in the suitcase and burnt the note to ashes.

"Do you still have the sample?" Bucky asked her once he was finished.

"Oh yes!" She found her dress and reached into a secret pocket she had put in the neckline.

"Leave it in the suitcase for Stark and Steve," Bucky told her.

The pair checked out of the hotel and climbed onto the motorcycle. They made their way to the address and were both surprised to have no tail on them. Bucky's threat seemed to have gotten through.

When they dismounted the bike, Evelyn grabbed Bucky's arm stopping him from going inside.

"What is it?" He looked down at her in confusion.

"Hey, I'm your wife, you have to carry me inside," She gave him a laugh.

He picked her up bridal style and walked up the steps into the cute house. They explored a bit before they heard a truck outside. Evelyn stood behind the door, knives ready while Bucky looked out the window.

"It's the movers," Bucky sighed.

The movers ended up being some of the Avengers and some S.H.I.E.L.D agents. Sam Wilson stood with a clipboard, going over the 'inventory' with the couple.

"Look, you guys got this. We all saw the footage from the club and outside, you guys have hella good chemistry, you can sell this," Sam assured them.

Bucky gave Evelyn a wink and told Sam, "She literally said 'hell of a first date' to me last night."

"It'll be a good story for the kids later," Sam patted Bucky on the shoulder. "We're going to try and check in each week, face to face. Keep an eye for any of us."

"The sample?" Bucky asked Sam.

"Bruce has it in the lab, it's under control." Sam told him. "Him and Stark want to work on an antidote."

Bucky gave Sam a nod and Evelyn directed where their 'belongings' should end up. The rest of the night seemed normal. LIke they were a real married couple. Evelyn cooked them a nice dinner and they sat watching a movie, cuddled up on the couch.

"Before we go to this thing tomorrow," Evelyn sat up, looking at Bucky with serious eyes. "I feel like we need a code word or something."

"We can do that. Like if we think we've been made?" Bucky took her hand in his, "I know they said we were using our own names but I call you Evie, is that okay or do you want me to use something else?"

Evelyn swallowed tightly. She usually hated her name being shortened but it was so sweet when he did it.

"I like that it's your name for me," She looked down at their hands, "but would the Soldier call me that?"

Bucky sighed, "Maybe we'll just stick to the pet names, this version of the Soldier is complicated. He's under no one's control but still isn't on the exact right side of the law."

"What do I call the Soldier?" Evelyn asked with a sigh to match Bucky's.

"You called me babe last night," Bucky grinned. "You could always call me Daddy or sir."

Evelyn screamed in frustration and pushed on Bucky's chest, he ended up pinning her to the couch, underneath him. "You ass!"

"Evie," He exhaled sharply, his eyes on her lips.

"Let's get through tomorrow and then," she freed her hands but used her thumb to trace over his lips.

"And then," He confirmed to her like a promise.

"So code word," she wiggled out from under him and resumed their cuddling position.

"Pineapples, either we have to pick some up on the way home or you're craving them?" Bucky looked at her in question.

"Perfect." She agreed. "Am I going with you tomorrow?"

"Eyes and ears right?" He gave her a grin.

"What if they don't like that?" She asked.

"We're partners," Bucky sighed, "I wish I knew exactly what feelers Stark put out about you for them to find."

"There's a box with files," Evelyn pointed to the hallway.

They spent some time going through the box. Inside was the cover story. Evelyn was the daughter of a connected guy from Russia. He had recently gone into business with The Soldier and hit it off with Evelyn. She was to be treated like a proper princess but was also her father's informant. Bucky liked this story. She looked innocent, not like the badass agent she was.

The morning came and Bucky woke to an empty bed. He smelled food and coffee and found Evelyn moving around the kitchen nervously.

"Morning sweetheart," He gave her forehead a kiss as he passed, moving straight for the coffee.

"Morning," She began plating his food with a smile.

"Did you sleep well?" Bucky asked, looking over his mug at her.

"Course," She flashed a smile.

"You're nervous," He raised an eyebrow.

"I'll be fine. I just have to," she threw her hands up in frustration. "Yes I'm a little nervous."

The morning passed and the pair dressed carefully. Evelyn wore dark, tight jeans and ridiculously high heeled boots with a cute red leather jacket. Bucky wore something similar to his tactical gear but was more subtle and able to blend in.

Before they left, Bucky brought Evelyn's left hand to his lips and whispered to her, "I promise to keep my promise, okay?"

She nodded and returned the sentiment. They climbed on Bucky's bike and immediately sped off for the meeting location.

Bucky's metal hand reached back and held onto Evelyn's calf as they coasted through traffic. She found the gesture comforting. She pressed her cheek to his back and skimmed her fingers over his jacket.

When they arrived, Evelyn waited to be moved off of the bike. Bucky held her hand as they walked into the abandoned warehouse. He felt eyes on them from the moment they arrived. Evelyn squeezed his hand 3 times to let him know she had spotted three Hydra members on the street. He gave her a soft smile and a kiss on her forehead.

Evelyn stood at Bucky's side but made herself seem meek and naive. She wasn't the strong S.H.I.E.L.D agent, she was nothing more than a plaything in these moments. And while she hated it, she knew it gave her wiggle room to observe.

Alexander Pierce Junior walked through the door of the warehouse with at least five guards in a very expensive suit.

"So," Pierce started but Bucky interrupted.

"No, you don't get to talk." Bucky's voice was deep and menacing. "Your friends ruined my night. I've heard what your little drug does. And someone gave it to my wife, she's not one of these bimbo's. She's under my protection."

"We didn't know," Pierce tried to explain, "She was asking for fun so the girl just thought."

"Well she needs to be taught a lesson," Bucky nearly growled. "And your boys watched me all night. We were celebrating and I was watched like a common criminal."

"You're demanding an awful lot, Soldier," Pierce glared, "What are you going to do for me?"

"What is it you want so bad?" Bucky responded.

Evelyn's head tilted as she watched the guards, they had their fingers on their triggers, ready if the Soldier snapped in an instant. She knew Pierce was afraid. Evelyn whispered in Bucky's ear and let out a giggle, maintaining her eye candy persona.

"Soon baby," Bucky gave her a wide grin, "I can't wait to get home either."

"When I heard the Soldier was back in the States I had to ask for your help," Pierce handed Bucky a file, "Are you activated?"

"Do I look activated to you?" Bucky pulled a gun from his side and immediately all five guards pointed theirs at him ready to shoot.

"Maybe we should activate you," Pierce looked at Evelyn, "Or we could take her until you comply."

"Try it," Buck pressed the gun to Pierce's head, "You won't have just me but the entire Russian Mob after you. She's a certifiable princess."

"Daddy is not going to like this, babe," Evelyn even pouted her lip out stepping in front of Bucky and pretended as if guns weren't pointed in her direction.

Pierce ordered the guards to lower their weapons. "Look, I just want what is rightfully mine. Hydra is supposed to be mine, it's my father's legacy, your legacy and these fucks have taken up the mantle."

Bucky waved him on but never lowered his gun so Pierce continued.

"I need you to take out the Power Broker, that's what they call themselves. They're using all Hydra's old recruits, old bases, old intel."

"And what about the drugs?" Bucky asked.

"Just a game I'm playing, but I'm bored of it already. They'll be gone by next week." Pierce shrugged.

"I want to infiltrate the world's governments, the drugs, the crime, it's nothing compared to what I have planned." Pierce pushed Bucky's gun from his forehead.

"They say the Power Broker is coming to town in a few weeks, a rarity as they usually work in Madripoor. Take them out before they leave the city and I'll leave you and your girl alone."

"And if I don't?" Bucky tried to move Evelyn back behind him but she stood her ground but playfully kissed the underside of his chin and played with the zipper of his jacket.

"Oh you'll do it," Pierce laughed. "Would be a shame if your brake lines were cut on that motorcycle or if your new house on Everwood had a gas leak."

Pierce turned to leave, "I'll be in touch."

Bucky released a breath he was holding once Pierce and the guards were gone. Evelyn went to speak but he put a finger to her lips and whispered "not here." in her ear.
