The First Day of a Newbie

Natsu dragged Lucy through Magnolia, right up to the guild hall with a big smile on his face.

"Natsu, you should really stop dragging her," Happy said, a sweat drop rolling down his face.

Natsu just seemed to ignore the cat, with the exuberant grin still painted onto his face. As they walked in Natsu's case, or were dragged, in Lucy's case, up to the door Natsu stopped dragging Lucy, and kicked the door in.

"I'm back!" Natsu roared walking straight into the building.

Gray looked at him with a glare. "Already, damn I was hoping to get some more reprieve," he said, glaring at Natsu.

"What's that supposed to mean jackass," Natsu said, his hands turning alight.

"Well, since you did mess up Hargeon it makes me wonder what you could do to the guild," Gray said, smirking all the while.

"Only a man could mess up Hargeon, and only a man comes home early!" Elfman shouted at the top of his lungs, a triumphant, although no one knew why, tone in his voice.

"Shut up Elfman," Natsu said, charging Gray, fists alight with fire.

However, those two were not the only ones fighting as soon the entire guild hall became contorted into a massive war zone, with almost everyone from the entire guild diving headfirst into the battle.

As this was occurring Lucy was standing there, her eyes wide with shock.

"What the-"

"This is our guild," Happy said, flying into the massive battle-zone. "Good luck!"

Lucy stood there, stunned, for a few moments before tenderly walking inside and around the massive battlefield, afraid to actually have anyone notice her presence, in fear she would be dragged into the bar fight. However, her presence was noted; by a very attractive woman who was not in the bar fight.

"Hello," Mirajane said, looking at Lucy. "Who might you be?"

Lucy jumped in surprise, letting out a small, "Eep," before looking at Mirajane with awe in her eyes.

"Y-Y-You're Mirajane Straus, you're famous all over Fiore, and you're swimsuit modeling is amazing," Lucy said, listing out all of Mirajane's many accomplishments ever since retiring from being a mage.

Mira smiled gently and laughed. "Yes I guess I am rather famous aren't I? Anyways, what are you doing here? I saw you come in with Natsu and just couldn't help but wonder."

Lucy let out a small blush at acting like a fangirl in front of her idol. She then remembered why she came here.

"Oh yeah, I want to join Fairy Tail," Lucy said, looking at Mira expectantly.

"Okay," Mira said, getting a wooden pole. "Where do you want it and in what color?"

Lucy showed the back of her right hand, and said one word, "Pink."

Mira nodded and quickly applied the pole, before it disappeared as if it was never there to begin with after Mira turned away and put it somewhere, as Lucy couldn't see it because Mira was blocking it. Mira then turned around and pointed to a girl.

"I would assume you would want to know the names of these people," Mira said, and Lucy responded with a nod.

"Well that's Levy McGarden, Elfman Straus my little brother, Gray Fullbuster, Cana Alberona, Loke, Alzack Connel, Bisca Mulan, Jet, Droy, Max Alors, Reedus Jonah, Nab Lasaro, and Wakaba Mine," she said pointing to each one respectively.

Levy was a rather young, petite teenage girl of a slender build who stood at a rather below-average height for her age. Her shoulder-length blue hair, which had eyebrow-length bangs, was normally tied up with a colorful bandanna around her head. She had wavy, wild locks hanging down the sides of her face. She wore a gold dress, which revealed the guild mark on her left scapula.

Elfman was a large, muscular man with tan colored skin, whose height caused him to tower over the majority of the people in the bar fight, and in the guild in general. He had long white hair that was kept styled upwards in long, wavy spikes and dark eyes that possessed no visible eyebrows. He had a rectangular, elongated face and a stitched scar running down its right side, crossing his right eye. There was a black Fairy Tail stamp on the left part of his neck. He wore a dark blue jacket with purplish blue inners, held closed on the front by a line of large buttons, with buttons on the sleeves' back and the zip located on the high collar left open. The back of his jacket was adorned by a large kanji that read, "The Greatest," and the jacket was worn over a light red shirt, sometimes replaced by an A-shirt that covered many vertical lines. He wore loose pants matching his jacket, held up by a simple belt and geta sandals, held in place by bands colored the same as his jacket's inners.

Gray wore the same thing he did before his ever memorable fight with Akira, if he wore anything at all, as at times he walked around the guild stark naked.

Cana was a tall, slim, young woman with an ample bust. She had long, mid-back length brown hair, with two shoulder-length strands that framed her face, the left one starting from a prominent high fringe. Her hair was thick and wavy. She had large brown eyes, and visibly long eyelashes. She possessed a vary voluptuous figure, with large breasts and curvy hips. Her black Fairy Tail stamp was located on the lower left part of her abdomen, right above her hips. Her upper body was usually exposed, with most of her attires being distinctively scanty. She wore a light blue bikini top which had a camouflage pattern, a pair of Capri pants, with two bands hanging from each leg and a light belt covered in heart motifs loosely tied around the waist. She completed her outfit by wearing high-heeled sandals. She also had a pair of metal bracelets adorning her biceps, bearing an incision composed of many "A"s, and three simple, round metal bracelets on her right wrist.

Loke was a handsome young man of average height, distinguished by his delicate facial features and his orange hair. He had mildly short, spiky cut hair, with spiky strands covering his forehead, and other, longer ones jutting upwards from the top of his head. He had hazel eyes that were covered with a pair of azure-tinted sunglasses with a thin frame. His left ear was adorned by three earrings, a stud and twin rings. He wore a green coat with a wide collar, complete with a prominent, spiky, brownish white fur trimming lining the hood, over a light red shirt that was covered in many flower-like motifs, black pants and whitish sneakers, each adorned by a pair of light green stripes.

Alzack was a young man of average height with long black hair that covered the right part of his face. His eyes were black, although his right eye was obscured by his hair. He wore clothing that matched those of fictional cowboys, without their hats. He wore a long brown coat resembling a poncho, with tasseled edges together with a shirt and torn pants with stripes similar to the ones on his coat that hung from their edges, being he;d up by a studded belt with a skull-shaped buckle. On his feet he wore simple boots. He wore a case on his right hip, where he kept one of his guns.

Bisca was a young woman with long, straight green hair that reached down to her lower back, and had a set of long bangs framing her face. She had brownish purple eyes, large breasts, and was always wearing red lipstick.

Jet was a slim young man of average height with orange hair, which kept jutting backwards at the sides of his head. He had a sharp face, a prominent flat and defined nose pointing downwards, and distinctive teeth, with a sharp, protruding, triangular-shaped upper molar complemented by a chipped portion on the lower row, something that allowed him to close his teeth completely. Jet donned an open, light-brown coat with yellowish fur trimmings on its edges and sleeves, which reached down below his elbows. Below it was a high-collared purple shirt, with its collar mostly left open with a rectangular buckle, and others tucked inside the baggy dark pants covering Jet's legs, in turn tucked inside dark boots. He wore a bracelet composed of thin ropes around his right wrist, and a watch around his left. The most distinctive piece of his attire was the fancy, extremely high hat matching his coat, with a large brim and fur trimmings over its entire length, at regular intervals, plus a large furry ball on its top.

Droy was a tall, slim young man with black hair kept in an unusual, distinctive hairstyle, with a tuft of hair on top of his head jutting upwards and then curving frontwards, reminiscent of a plant's stem. His hair extended in a rounded form on his forehead, and was cut on both sides of Droy's head in a spiraling motif. Droy had dark eyes and thin dark eyebrows that pointed downwards at their outer edges; his rectangular-shaped face sported sharp features, with prominent cheekbones. His clothing consisted of a simple white shirt, green checkered pants, and dark shoes with lighter soles. He also sported a pair of distinctive belts crossing his chest, each passing over one of his shoulders. These belts were reminiscent of bandoliers, sporting rectangular cases on them, which contained special "Live-Coal" used for his Plant Magic.

Lucy did not have time to examine the rest of them as a giant shadow descended upon the guild-mates as they prepared to use their magic on each other. They looked up to see a giant man standing over them, anger written all over his face.

"STOP USING MAGIC!" The voice roared, and immediately everyone had canceled their spells and were quiet.

Then the giant began to shrink as he walked forward, turning into a rather short, old man, who Lucy didn't recognize.

"Hello master," Mira said, looking at the old man.

Lucy blanched. 'He's the master, but he doesn't even reach my waist!'

"Hello there Mira," Makarov said, looking at Mirajane with a fondness a father would have for a daughter in his eyes. He then looked at Lucy.

"Who might you be," he asked.

"Lucy Heartifilla, new guild member," Lucy squeaked out, afraid of the commanding aura he had emitted not long before.

"Well, welcome to Fairy Tail. I'm the guild master, Makarov Dreyar, nice to meet you."

Makarov then jumped up to the second floor, hitting the back of his head on the railing. Makarov then drew a stack of papers from his back, glaring at the guild members.

"This is the Magic Councils forms, for all of your damages," he said, glaring at each and every one of them, however his gaze softened before hardening again. "However, they are nothing, TO NARUTO'S AND SASUKE'S!" He said, materializing a stack up paper that reached the ceiling.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THOSE TWO?! I SWEAR THIS GUILD IS NEARLY BROKE BECAUSE OF THEM!" Makarov said, slamming his foot on the railing.

The guild just laughed at their masters behavior, knowing that while the two men were undoubtedly powerful, their strongest S-class not including Gildarts, they caused the most damages in the entire guild, even more than Gildarts himself, and they had rearranged the entire city for the man.

"However," Makarov said, lighting the papers on fire and launching them at Natsu, who proceeded to eat the flames. "I say screw what the Magic Council says. Those old hags don't know how to run this country. I say, do whatever you think is right! That's the way of the Fairy Tail Mages!" Makarov roared this loudly, and shot up a sign, a gun symbol, only it was pointing towards the ceiling and the back of his hand was facing the guild.

The guild reciprocated this act.

Lucy smiled and did the same, even if she didn't know what it meant, after all, she was a part of this guild now too, she had to participate.

XxX

"You old geezer!" cried a boy as he ran from the guild hall, tears streaking down his cheeks.

Makarov lay on the ground, a red mark on his face, and an impartial look expressed clearly on his face.

"What was that about," Lucy asked, looking at Mira.

"That boy, Romeo, has been missing his father ever since he went on a mission and never returned. It's been around two days, and we've heard nothing from him," Mira explained.

Lucy looked at Mira strangely. "Doesn't master care?"

Mira sighed sadly. "He does care, immensely, probably as much as Romeo, but his hands are tied."

Lucy sighed, that sounded sad, however she jumped when a loud boom shook the area. She looked at the mission board to see an angry Natsu walking away from it and towards the doors, following after Romeo, followed by Happy.

"What's wrong with Natsu," Lucy asked, looking at Mira.

Mira looked at Lucy sadly. "Natsu understands Romeo's pain, the pain of losing a father. I'd say he knows it more than any of us."

Lucy looked at Natsu as he walked away. She too knew a similar pain. She stood, before walking after Natsu, determination in her eyes. She would help Natsu save the child's father.

Hey guys it's Kuma Akuma. Sorry for the less than progressing chapter, but worry not two mini-arcs will be completed next chapter, if I can find the motivation to write it. Sigh, it's not that I'm giving up on the story, but I don't like any of the upcoming arcs, until we reach Phantom Lord, excluding THAT arc of course, I'm gonna be really, really bored. Ugh. So how is your lives? Mines is bad. Just got in a massive fight with my friend, and my teacher gave us a ton of homework over our break. Sigh. Happy Memorial Day guys. Cheers. I'm so dead on enthusiasm right now. I hope you guys are still interested. I know I sure as hell ain't. See you guys later, and avoid the Earl.
