Virgil's head pounded as he slowly blinked open his eyes. Everything was a blur at first, but after several moments his surroundings came into focus.

The first thing that Virgil noticed was that he was no longer in the cockpit of TB2.

He was in some dark, damp smelling room, with a single window that provided just a small amount of light. He tried to move, but found that his wrists were tied behind his back, and he seemed to be bound to a pipe or something on the wall behind him.

"Ah, he's awake."

Virgil felt his heart hammer in his chest as he instantly recognised the voice that spoke. He lifted his eyes up to the noise, and for the first time noticed the man standing in front of him. He probably hit his head hard if he only just saw him standing there.

The Hood loomed over him as Virgil sat slumped on the floor, and behind his shoulder stood Virgil's little brother. He was silent, like he was waiting for a command to act.

Suddenly, Gordon's behaviour was starting to make a whole lot of sense.

"What did you do to him? Let him go!" Virgil glared at the Hood, who just smiled.

"What I've done is something I should have done a long time ago. What better way to access the secrets of International Rescue than from International Rescue themselves. Now that he is under my control, your brother has no choice but to do as I say and tell me what I need." The Hood sent a look behind him to Gordon, who didn't react. He just stood there staring blankly. "But first, I need to get rid of you."

Virgil's eyes widened as the Hood reached for something behind his back, and pulled out a small pistol. The worst part about it was what the Hood said next.

"Now, as much as it would please me to do this myself, I think I would get more pleasure out of you Tracys turning on each other." The Hood held out the gun to the person behind him. "I'll let you do this."

Gordon finally moved at that, and he stepped forward and took the gun from the man who constantly brought pain to their family.

He was now more in the light than he had been before, and Virgil realised that there was blood slowly seeping from his hairline and it dripped down his temple. He must have gotten that in the crash, Virgil thought.

However, the Hood didn't seem to care, as he turned to Virgil's little brother and commanded, "shoot him."
