Chapter 14: The second worst moment in Snape's life
"I'm sorry Lily." He pulled the edge of her skirt, staring up at her between snobs. Lily didn't say anything at first, she just tried to pull her skirt from his hands, which succeeded in between two seconds. "I didn't mean to call you that. I mean not you…"
"What about other girls that your friends call…." She paused. "Other girls like me, muggleborns, would you not call them that either."
"No, off course not." He kissed her hand. "It slipped out, Leyla says I'm a good person."
"And you are Severus." She turned away from him. "It's those friends, I'm worried about. Those friends that make you do dark arts. Just a little bit of it, is too much."
"But I have to be able to protect myself…" Snape stared at Lily. "I can't let them humiliate me any longer." "They're bullies, Severus." She had tears in her eyes. "In the end they get what's coming. It's just I don't know what trouble you're getting yourself in too, and I can't watch you go down. I need to let go, for me. Dangerous forces are waking up in the north Snape, I don't want to lose you to them. So this is it, go play with your little death eater friends. I'm sure they'll…"
"Lily."
"Oh just shut up, Snivilius."
"You promised to never call me that." His tears had become worste.
"I never thought you would call me that word." She took a step back. "It doesn't matter how much humiliation you go through, I was your friend. And I don't even known you anymore, you've been distancing yourself in this books, they don't do anything. What does Sectumsempra even mean?. Is it to hurt someone Snivilius? To hurt someone like you've hurt me…"
"I have a counter curse." He ran behind her but collided with the painting. "You are my best friend."
Leyla sat there, tears in her eyes. She understood why both of them went through the things they went through. So that is why she wouldn't judge Snape. She was not wrong about him.
"She's just pissed, she's not angry at you, she's angry, she's doesn't understand why you said what you said.'" Leyla put her hand over his shoulder.
"And you do?" He stared at her. "Maybe she's right, maybe I'm doomed to be bad…"
"'I've never seen anyone with such a kind heart. You're one of a kind, Severus Snape." Leyla moved her hands over his face, giving him a soft kiss on top of his head.
"Then why I'm I in Slytherin?"
"Because you have ambitions, I don't know what they are." Leyla smiled. "But I know you got them. I'm not the sorting hat and I don't sort people, but there's a reason you're in that house. And the reason is because you're the most brilliant person in this school."
"How about you?"
"Me, empty words." She took a step away. "I couldn't even protect a class mate against bullies. Like I said Severus, I don't like confrontations."
"You don't talk when your words don't matter." Snape stared at her. "But you forget your words always matter."
It took them a short second to kiss. A short second to feel their lips glide together. A short second for Leyla to simple run away. A short second for Snape never to see her again in his fifth year. He even didn't know if he would ever see her again. He knew one thing, he was in love with this girl. In love with the beautiful and the ugly parts inside, he actually didn't believe she had any. So he decided to wait for her. To wait for the love of his life to return. And that wait could take forever, he didn't know."
