swee2iepea: Marco would make a good hero.

Kae Membrana: Thank you! Luffy's so cute and fluffy and kind. Yeah, Roger is an asshole in this one.

More of childhood Luffy fluff! Enjoy~

"Mommy, can I try going around now?" Luffy asked, voice a bit whiny. He felt going fast would make him less itchy and would be fun, but their backyard was too small for that. He wanted to zoom about, but not even the playground was good enough! The ache and itch had gotten worse, and he had to itch more and more, and had scratched himself in his sleep, making himself bleed. Makino said that she had to go to the doctor with Sabo that day, so Ace was babysitting. "Can I go somewhere with Ace?"

Makino smiled tightly and deliberated but said they could go when they came back. Luffy sadly walked up to Ace, who gave him a hug. It was Saturday, and Luffy had been itching all week to just let go somewhere. Literally. He was impatient all day until mommy and Sabo left, Luffy pouting and grumpy for having to wait a moment more.

"If Luffy gets hurt on your watch, I'm going to kill you," Sabo muttered to Ace, who just laughed and said he'd like to see him try.

"Now, now. No death threats in front of Luffy," Makino said with an amused smile. Luffy stomped to the couch and flopped down, a very deep frown on his nearly six-year old face.

"Let's go play outside, Lu," Ace encouraged. Luffy got up and pouted to the sliding glass door, sitting on the grass. "Why don't you try running here? There's not that much room, but there might be enough," Ace insisted. Luffy wiped his teary, mopey eyes and nodded, trying it. He was able to make it to the other side, he slipped on the dirt when trying to turn around and fell in it.

He sniffled and started to cry. "It's itchy! Make it stop!" he screamed, letting out all the discomfort and annoyance he'd been hiding. Ace hurried over to him and hugged him, helping to itch his body softly, trying to get Luffy to not itch so hard through the gloves. Ace looked around and saw the old rake with the bent tips. He got it and offer to scratch Luffy with it.

The ends were dull, and Luffy let his scratch it up and down his back, which felt good.

But after a couple minutes after it was stopped, the itching came back. He started to hunch over a little bit. "You okay, Lu?" Ace asked when Luffy started to tremble. "Luffy? Is it still itchy?" he asked, petting his ears and the tufts that came out. Tears came into his eyes and he started crying again.

Luffy said, "I don't feel good!" before he fell to his sixes, Ace rushing over. He started freaking out as Luffy cried while his hands grew larger and sharper, destroying the plugs at the tips. His feet turned more animal like, with sharper nails. His teeth elongated and his nose did too until he looked like some sort of adult sized fox but with a big cat's strong and thick arms and legs. His ears got longer, and he was screaming, even though it didn't hurt. All of his human skin was covered in thick fur, now. Like a mix between the scariest of cats and canines, only with his floppy ears and extra arms.

Ace had his eyes wide and Luffy tried walking, scared and trembling. He started wailing in fear, and Ace hurried to him. "Lu! Lu, it's okay! Your quirk isn't a mutant its a transformation! Shhh, you're okay!"

Luffy was crying about being a monster. "Luffy, it's okay! It's your quirk. Calm down. You know Ryukyu, right? The dragon hero?" Luffy calmed down and nodded. His body felt better now, he stopped itching. He was still not super big, but larger than he had been before, just looked more threatening and animalistic. His eyes lost the whites, but were blue now. More like the shape of a dog's pupils. He didn't itch at all anymore, the pain from before was gone. "I read about her origin story. When she was young, she didn't know she had a dragon quirk. So when she transformed, she was terrified of being a monster. You're the same!"

He put a hand on Luffy's back, who was breathing heavily. "I'm n-not a monster?" Ace smiled and asked if he wanted to eat him. "Of course not!" Luffy cried.

"Luffy, you're so cool!" Ace exclaimed, grinning at him. "I'm so jealous!" Luffy didn't know why. He tried walking forward, but it was weird, his legs were the same length of his arms, which wasn't normal. His arms were longer a bit, not the exact same size. His tail had gotten longer, only it felt stronger. He accidentally slammed it down and left a dent in the dirt. "It explains your features. You're not a wrong or weird or a monster, you just have a badass quirk!"

Luffy said he wasn't allowed to say bad words. Ace laughed and apologized for it. "Can I take a picture so I can show you later?" Luffy nodded, and Ace brought out his camera, filming Luffy as he walked around him. Luffy started to tremble again and changed back, sighing and glad his hands and feet were back to normal. Not so scary anymore, and his teeth weren't super sharp everywhere. It was a good thing he hadn't been wearing any clothes, only his fluff.

Ace helped him inside. "But… if I'm not a canine type, why do I have fingers claws?" Luffy wondered, sniffling since it had been really scary. Ace sat on the couch with him, rubbing his small brother's back.

The older one said he wasn't sure. "I doubt we'll find out besides experience. But hey, you can be tough and fight, too. If there are any bad guys, you can scare them away, especially if you get bigger." He showed Luffy the video. Luffy looked at himself. He looked really worrying. "You're not a monster, Lu. I think your quirk can be amazing once you master it." Luffy said it looked scary. "A little bit. It might be scary if some people saw it, but I'm sure others would get over it once you compare it to Ryukyu's quirk."

Luffy sniffled. "I'm not a freak?" Ace frowned, and asked who'd said that. "I heard daddy say it once." The older one flamed up a bit but then took a few deep breaths.

"You're not a freak," Ace said softly. "You're a cool little boy with a very original quirk. There's nobody out there like you. You should be proud of that! There are plenty of fire types or invisible or disguise quirks like mine and Sabo's. Mommy's is common, too. She can make weak illusions."

Luffy asked, "I'm cool? But… people won't like me if they know."

Ace replied, "If they don't accept you with your quirk, then they aren't friend material." His voice was strong and firm. "Daddy was not parent material." Luffy's eyes widened. They never talked about him. "Daddy was wrong. He doesn't deserve your love or care. He doesn't deserve to come back."

Luffy looked down, and nodded slowly before he started crying. "He was mean," he sniffled, big tears falling down his face. Ace kissed his head and rubbed his back.

"Yes, he was. You did nothing wrong," Ace said firmly, giving his brother a warm smile. "You're the baby of the family and deserve all of the love we can give." Luffy started crying harder, but it was more happy now.

When mommy and Sabo got home, Luffy was worried about what they'd think. Ace encouraged Luffy to say something, that they wouldn't think he was a monster. Sabo would think he was cool, too. At dinner, Makino asked how he felt today, if he was still itchy. Luffy looked down, trying to steel himself. "Baby? Did something happen?"

Luffy took a deep breath. "My quirk isn't a mutant. It's a transformation," he said quickly. The other two were quiet for a minute before Sabo asked, "Huh?"

Ace said something for Luffy. "He started to itch and ache really bad before his body changed and resembled something like a six legged wolf-cat. It was awesome! It was scary for him, but I was able to calm him down. His features fit the transformation. The fur and extra limbs and finger claws. And ears, of course."

He brought out his phone and showed them. Sabo's eyes sparkled. "That's so cool!" Makino looked uneasy before she looked at Luffy's expression of worry. "Luffy, you're so awesome!" He smiled bashfully. He looked to mommy for her reaction.

"You have quite the original quirk. I think you got some of it from your father. He was able to resemble a wolf." Ace soured at the mention of his name.

"Don't mention his name. Luffy heard him call him a freak once," Ace said darkly. Makino and Sabo's faces hardened. The youngest looked down, and his family told him he wasn't a freak. He was a wonderful little boy with original features for an incredible quirk. Luffy smiled a watery smile and nodded, going back to his food in a better mood than before, reassured that his brothers and mother would always love him.

"Are you okay? You're really distracted," Zoro said at recess on Monday. Luffy looked surprised. He was sure Zoro would think he was really cool, and wanted to confide in somebody other than his family. But he asked if Zoro would still be his friend anyways. "Of course. You're the closest friend I've ever had!"

Luffy smiled. "My quirk isn't a mutant. It's a transformation," he said slowly, gauging his reaction. Zoro suddenly looked excited. He asked what it was. Luffy looked both ways before waving for him to come behind the bookshelf. "Don't tell anybody." Zoro nodded.

He took off his gloves to show the dangerous claws that scared him. "I transformed into a beast-thingy. With claws and sharp teeth. My brothers say it is awesome, but I'm not sure," he confessed. Zoro touched his claws with a huge grin.

"Man these would be good for all sorts of things, not just hurting people. But I see why you block them. Why do you hide them," he said, grinning widely, like Luffy was the coolest, most interesting person he'd ever met. He wasn't used to that look at all. But he couldn't risk it by showing his claws or the new form his quirk was. It was still so scary, having that transformation. Maybe someday he would be proud of it, but he's nowhere close to that yet.

"Most people don't think that. That it's cool. My daddy called me a freak and didn't like me at all," Luffy explained in a hush. Zoro frowned deeply in sympathy.

He put his hand on Luffy's shoulder. "You don't gotta worry about me thinking that. We're friends, friends don't think those things about each other. Your daddy is a jerk," Zoro said firmly. Luffy smiled at him and nodded, putting his gloves and stoppers back on.

Zoro came over for the first time that weekend, and Sabo and Ace were so happy with him, glad Luffy had a friend. They played with both of them, and Zoro thought his brothers were pretty cool, too. Luffy was glad they all got along.

"Show me, show me," Zoro said, bouncing on his toes. Luffy was worried, and his face showed it. He didn't even know if he could change on purpose. He hadn't tried. The other times had been on accident. He could zoom around in the constricting backyard without changing, but he did itch sometimes and the only way to fix it was to shift. It happened if he got too uncomfortable to handle.

"Please, I promise I won't think bad about it," his green haired friend insisted. Luffy nodded and went in the middle of the yard and changed. His body changed so he was on all sixes, and not in the way he usually was, and he looked at Zoro, whose face was red before he exploded. "That's so awesome!" he screamed, running to look at Luffy from every angle. "Can you talk?"

"Yeah," Luffy said. He looked at his arms, at the claws. And it wasn't his claws had just turned sharp. But they were longer and even sharper. His voice was in contrast to his appearance, still squeaky and high.

Zoro looked at him again, still smiling. "Man, I wish everyone thought like I did! I can see some people being scared, but only if they're wimps. I bet Sanji would think it was cool. Can you imagine the Three Jis' expressions if they saw you?"

Luffy changed back, and pleaded with Zoro not to tell anybody else. "Of course I won't. I was just thinking it would be funny thing to do," he replied. Luffy sighed and nodded. They went inside and played hide and seek with Ace and Sabo. Sabo always won with his quirk, allowing him to blend into the surroundings.

But this time, he found Sabo almost immediately. His blonde brother was surprised. "How'd you find me so fast, Lu?" he asked while his other brother and friend were still hiding.

Luffy thought for a moment. "I smelled you," he said, only realizing that for himself just then. Sabo grinned, and wondered if he was getting better senses or instincts. He explained what an instinct was when Luffy looked confused.

"Can you find the others by hearing them?" Luffy asked if they'd be talking. "Probably not. You could try finding them through their breathing," the older brother offered. Luffy said he'd try, and listened for anything, ears twitching, though still floppy, before finding small breathing noises from down the hall. It got louder when he got to the hall closet.

Luffy opened it to find Zoro had squished himself into the bottom shelf, curled up on the carpet. "Found you!" Luffy exclaimed. Zoro pouted, saying he thought he'd win for sure. Then they found Ace behind the bathroom door.

"You found Sabo first?" Ace asked in surprised. Luffy nodded and said he smelled Sabo. "Jeez, Sabo. If you smell that strong, take a damn shower." He was teasing but Sabo got mad and said it was because Luffy's senses were getting better. "Calm down, dude. I was joking."

Zoro asked if he smelled him, too. "No, I heard you."

"But I wasn't making any sound," Zoro grumbled. Luffy said he heard him breathing. Zoro frowned deeply, and Luffy worried he'd said something wrong. "I'm so jealous. Your quirk is so awesome."

Ace said he thought Zoro's was pretty cool, too. And he was being honest. "Can you imagine how powerful you'd be, and how nobody could hurt you if you just kept shoving people back? There are definitely worse quirks you could have."

"Or be quirkless like Midoriya," Zoro admitted. Luffy nodded. He felt bad for Midoriya. Hopefully something amazing would happen and he'd get his quirk late. Luffy touched his claws, wondering if the fear in the beginning was worth it. Well, Midoriya was teased and mocked for something he couldn't control either. It didn't just happen to Luffy. People could be so cruel. Luffy would never understand why people bullied others.

Why a father would hate his kid. He never had a good one, but he knew daddys were supposed to love their children. Sanji's daddy was mean, too. Nobody had a perfect life. Luffy knew that based on the struggles of the students around him.

Zoro spent dinner with them before his dad came to pick him up. He ran a dojo, and Zoro offered him to go play there next. They had a big back yard and a cool sprinkler system that he played in a lot. Luffy nodded excitedly in agreement. It did sound like a lot of fun.

The next day was a school day, and Sanji seemed upset with Luffy and Zoro. Luffy was worried he'd done something wrong. He asked Sanji if he was mad at him. "No, I just feel like you guys are keeping secrets," he said quietly, not making eye contact. He sounded ashamed, and Luffy felt bad for not including him in everything, too. He just felt closer to Zoro than with Sanji. Maybe he just wasn't hanging out with him enough to realize he was awesome as Zoro, too.

Luffy said it had to do with his quirk and was really personal. Sanji looked confused. "But, it's just four arms and all," he said in puzzlement. Luffy said it wasn't that anymore.

"It's not a mutant quirk anymore, it's a transformation," Luffy said at the playdough table. Midoriya was at the block area. Nobody else was around, Luffy could tell through hearing and scent if somebody came close. Sanji looked shocked, and asked what he transformed into.

The dark furred boy was hesitant to say. "I promise I won't tell anybody," Sanji swore firmly. Luffy furrowed his brows before deciding he could trust Sanji with this. He explained very briefly of his appearance.

"It was awesome," Zoro said. Luffy smiled, liking that some people thought it was awesome. Sanji thought it sounded cool, too. Luffy was glad he made good friends. He touched his gloves, but wasn't brave enough to take them off yet. If he ever was. But, he had friends who liked him no matter what his appearance was.

Was he wrong? That everybody thought he was not right? He had more people who liked him, now. But Sanji hadn't seen his fingers. And he did get looks in public, but they were not mean looks. Well, some were, but not the majority. He hoped that he was better than he saw himself. And that his loved ones weren't just humoring him when everybody else felt differently.

The three of them went to ice cream after class, Makino driving them. Sanji's mommy said he could go with them, seeming really happy for him. They had small chocolate and mint ice cream cones. They were enough for them, they were small five year olds.

Sanji became Luffy's other best friend. He had two best friends who accepted him. Sanji hadn't been as awed or excited about Luffy's true quirk, but was amazed. He accepted that scary form, didn't care about his claws. It was wonderful. To have people care that weren't only his mommy or brothers.

And his family was happy for him, too.

It was rainy, and Luffy didn't notice water dripped into his leather gloves and had turned the playdough mushy and heavy, pulling his gloves down when he didn't notice had fallen until somebody pointed at his claws in surprise, screaming about Luffy having a bunch of knives. They started screaming he was going to kill them. Zoro had hurried to pick up and shove the gloves back on Luffy's hands. But everybody had seen. He was hiding them behind his back.

Miss Conis told everybody to calm down, and that Luffy never brought knives to school, would never hurt anybody. "Who said that he would kill somebody?" A girl with black hair named Tami raised her hand. "You're going to time out and then I will have a conversation with your mother. Don't say such alarming things when you don't know they're true. You set off a panic." Tami started crying but went to time out.

"You had those this whole time?" Midoriya asked in surprise. Luffy nodded, keeping his hands behind his back. He had a runny nose and wet eyes, trying not to cry. The Three Jis noticed his insecurity and started laughing and pointing at him.

"At least he has something cool. You guys look like you are some stupid plastic dolls. Why do you work so hard to make your hair look so stupid? Luffy doesn't even have to try to look unique, unlike you three. It's pathetic if you ask me," Zoro said scathingly. The three mean boys' faces were red in anger and embarrassment. "There's no reason to hide them anymore, Luffy. Just show them and put them back on."

Sanji gave him an encouraging look, and he slowly pulled the gloves off, still looking at the carpet. Miss Conis came over and put all four boys in time out, scolding them all. It wasn't okay for the three bullies to be cruel, but Zoro's words were also unacceptable. "But I was defending my friend! That's not bad!"

Miss Conis told him he should have gotten the help of the teacher. Zoro stubbornly said he didn't regret it. Luffy was his best friend, he wasn't going to let anybody be mean to him. Luffy gave a watery smile and Sanji grinned at him. Luffy smiled, too. But the reactions of the other kids confused him. Nobody acted like he was a monster, but they did look worried about the sharp claws.

"I keep these stoppers on them, and then the play dough so that nobody ever gets hurt. I don't mean to scare you. And I can't get rid of them cause they're my fingers…" The others looked relieved, not afraid as he put the gloves back on.

What… was this? He couldn't have been wrong. Not all this time. Not after how daddy and others looked at him. It was special here. Maybe it was only little kids who liked him, accepted all of his strange traits that he shared with nobody in his family. He would never show his scary form. Ever. Yeah, this was okay for now.

Luffy zoomed in a straight line around the entire park, eyes closed at the wind in his face, using his sense to dodge objects and not hit things. It fet so good. He shot upwards, climbing trees and then running along the branches faster and faster, smelling everything easily and acting according to that smell. He couldn't see his family looking worried. He was 6 now, he was old enough for mommy to let him do this, trusting his highly developed senses. He had to train like this, and it also felt really good.

He finally opened his eyes and jumped down and in front of mommy and his brothers. He smiled. "See, I'm okay," he said happily. Ace picked him up under his armpits and thrust him up. Luffy laughed, his tail swinging around.

"You're so cool, Lu!" Ace exclaimed.

"I agree. That was pretty impressive," a voice said to the side. Luffy looked over to see the fastest animal mutant quirk, Thatch. He could turn into a cheetah. His mommy and brothers were silent, Luffy shocked as well. "What's your name, kid?" He had a smile on. He'd been told there weren't any animal quirks he'd seen like his. Well, like any six legged quirks, probably.

Luffy nervously said his name. "So, Luffy. What type of mutant are you?" Thatch asked, crouching in front of him so they were closer in height. He seemed really nice! Had a bright smile.

He bit his lip, not good at lying. "Not a mutant…" he said awkwardly. Thatch raised his eyebrows. "Like, a monster." He put his claws up. They'd grown slightly longer, but luckily not sharper. Thatch told him he wasn't a monster for having claws and unique features. He was trying to be nice, but didn't understand what Luffy meant. Luffy looked around. They weren't at a kids park, but a real park. A big one where nobody was around.

But it was weird to see Thatch here, too. And he wasn't even in his hero outfit. Meaning he was off duty but still came to see Luffy after seeing him zoom about. Maybe he wanted to run, too. "I'm sure he will be fine seeing it, Lu," Sabo said with a smile.

Thatch put his hands up. "If you don't want to show me, you don't have to. I was just curious." But now he seemed more curious. Luffy swallowed and changed forms, looking up at Thatch, whose eyes were wide. "I have never seen a quirk like yours before. That's pretty cool." Luffy asked if he thought he was scary. "Not to me. I'm sure villains would be scared of you, though. Give your best growl," Thatch encouraged with an amused grin, looking actually happy.

Luffy let loose a rumbling snarl. Ace said, "Awesome! You look so badass!" Makino said no swearing in front of Luffy. Ace and Sabo just laughed. Luffy changed back and held his fluff tightly in his hands, his face red.

Thatch asked what his name was. "Luffy." Even though mommy had just said his name aloud.

"I hope I see you again someday. Maybe when you're bigger, we could go running. Anyone else is pretty far from here." Luffy was confused, and asked why. "It's always more fun to run with someone else." Luffy said "oh".

Ace's eyes were sparkling, just realizing. "You're Thatch right? Under Whitebeard and with Marco?" he asked, still obsessed with the Whitebeards. He wanted to work with them as a hero. Thatch grinned and said he was. "Awesome." Thatch asked if he was a Whitebeard fan. "Yes! I want to work with them and fight villains," Ace said honestly. Sabo chuckled and Makino was behind Luffy, her hands on his small shoulders.

Thatch said he was sure they'd be glad to have him if he was strong. Ace beamed, and Thatch said he'd like to see Luffy again someday, but had to go to work soon. Luffy nodded, saying he would be happy to run with him someday when he was bigger and better at it. And when mommy said it was okay.

The pro hero grinned and said he looked forward to then. Then he just walked leisurely away and Sabo attacked Luffy with tickles. "You had a pro hero praise you, Lu! And he didn't say your quirk's form was scary or creepy, right?"

Luffy nodded, looking at his claws. He put his thick and padded gloves back on. At school, well, he wasn't secluded in a kindergarten class. He shared recess with other classes, so not everyone knew about that. People weren't so mean to him about his looks anymore, even outside of school. Something had changed. He got stares, and pointed fingers, but the looks… they never looked mean.

"I don't know what he expects, though," Luffy said honestly. "I don't want to be a hero." Zoro and Sanji didn't want to be heroes, even though so many little kids wanted to be. Luffy didn't know what he wanted to do with his life. But he was only six. He had a long time to decide. And if he did want to be a hero like Ace did, he had 8 years to decide. Then he'd go to highschool.

Ace said perhaps he really just did want to run with somebody. "Heroes aren't only heroes all the time. He just wanted someone to run with. Faster than anybody, but here you were, and would be able to keep up. Do you ever want to hang out with someone like that?" Luffy thought for a bit, not sure. He hadn't really run much by himself. Mommy only allowed it a couple of recent times.

"Em, I don't know. I like running and climbing and all so far. It's exciting and makes my heart race," he said honestly. He smiled, looking up at the endless sky that he wished he could someday explore up there. But he didn't have that quirk. He didn't have wings. "But, having someone know what it's like would be nice."

Sabo rubbed his hair. "Maybe you could really run with Thatch some day, who knows?" Luffy nodded, and looked up at the sky. He wanted to go another round. He asked if he could, and mommy said it was fine as long as he stayed in the clearing. He nodded and zoomed away, his eyes closed again. It was so satisfying. Being so fast but also so aware, too.

Doing this made him only think of where things were, if he could get faster. He didn't feel worry or sadness with the bullies, or the feeling of fear of looking at people to see their reactions to his appearance. He ran in large circles, not looking anywhere. Letting himself get lost in the feeling of the wind in his face and fur.

A hero had told him he wanted to run with him, thought his quirk was cool. Daddy… he didn't matter. His opinion didn't matter anymore. Luffy was Luffy. He didn't need a mean daddy's opinion and looks to always haunt him.

-x-

"This is you, Luffy!" Niji said, dropping a piece of paper on his desk as he traced the cursive letters as best as he could. He looked at the picture, printed from a computer most likely. It showed a creepy, six legged and furry monster. It was all black, with red eyes and white hair. But the ears were upright, not floppy like his. It looked kind of like him, but in a creepier way. "You're a little monster. I'm sure you'll grow up to be big and evil! Haha!"

Tears gathered in his eyes, and dripped down on the paper. His hated the picture, and wished it would go away. He crushed it in his hand, claws poking through his gloves and shredding it and apart. Niji turned very quiet at seeing the sharp claws that were still there, glinting in the light, looking dangerous. Zoro and Sanji were in the library, so they weren't there with him.

He stood up and left the room, putting his hood over his head. He climbed with his claws up to the roof, curling into a ball and breaking into silent sobs. The teachers went out looking for him, but he stayed silent. Even though he knew he'd get in trouble. Finally, Miss Tashigi found him up there, and jumped up, landing next to him. She was able to jump and climb like Luffy was..

She looked like she was about to scold him before she saw his tears, his pink and puffy eyes, nose and lips. She sat next to him, asking what had happened. "Niji called me a monster. Said I will be evil." She looked furious before she hugged him, rubbing his back.

"You're not a monster. You're kinder than anyone else in this classroom. You're not from anywhere other than a loving family," Miss Tashigi said firmly. Luffy shook his head and said his quirk made him look scary, with claws and sharp teeth. He tearily asked if he was evil. "You're not evil, Luffy. I promise you, you're nowhere near evil."

Luffy frowned. "Can I go home? I-I want mommy," he sniffled. She nodded, saying they would call Makino together.

He wiped his eyes on his sleeve and dropped down with Miss Tashigi, jumping into her arms to catch him, and went to the phone. He looked at his hand, putting the play dough in front of the holes in the gloves and putting his hands in his pockets. He got his backpack and stuffed his things inside. Luffy glared at Niji with utter hatred and anger. A look he'd never made before or knew he could make.

When mommy came and picked him up, he was quiet. "Miss Tashigi told me what happened. You're not an evil monster, baby. Niji was just being very mean."

"Aren't villains evil?" he asked quietly from the backseat. Mommy insisted he wasn't evil. He was nothing like villains, many who were evil. "I don't want to be evil."

"Then don't be. You aren't now, there's no reason you'll ever turn into a villain." At the red light, she turned around and smiled. "We won't ever let you feel alone enough to become a villain." Luffy sniffled and nodded. They were a while away form home, so Makino pulled into a parking lot and got out, going to the backseat to hug her youngest son.

Luffy cried into her chest, sobbing. He wasn't evil. He wasn't an ugly monster. He couldn't control what his quirk was, how he looked. Despite his appearance, he wasn't a monster. Despite his quirk that could be scary to many, he wasn't evil and wouldn't ever be evil. He didn't want to feel hurt like this.

He was a good boy. A good, kind person, and everybody would know. It didn't matter what his bullies thought. He wouldn't let them hurt him again. He wouldn't let them make him cry. He was strong, and would be stronger. But for now, he cried.

Like Ace and Sabo said, he was a kind person. And kind people had to help others out. Like how mommy, his brother and Zoro and Sanji helped him. He would help them back, and would never be like Niji or his brothers. He would be strong and kind at the same time. He'd be the opposite of Niji. He was evil! He was a villain, Luffy was a good boy. And he would stay that way.
