Guest: If it makes you feel any better Mito's motivations are actually explained fairly soon. Like next arc. And there aren't even that many OC's in here tbh.
Blue Demonia: I don't really understand your review. Do you mean more down as in not touching you emotionally or like more gloomy and sullen? If it's the latter then that's the point, because...that's how they feel. If it's the former then I have messed up and must go fix it.
Hisui Kitsune: No problem. Their sage modes are going to be greatly reduced...or else we'd have them stopping attacks that cut through moons...for some reason. They're ninjas not freaking Dragon Ball Z! And thank you for the compliment. It means a lot.
ShadowWolf: I'm not positive if I responded to this but let me just double-check by doing it now. Naruto is no idiot, as you will see with his fight in this chapter. He's actually a cunning little brat.

Tartarus stood in the center of his coliseum, easily weaving through Deliora's attacks. "Is that the best that you have Deliora?"
The female demon roared in outrage, raising a leg and slamming it on the ground. The spear of ice shot towards Tartarus who simply snapped his fingers causing it to shatter. "Is that the best that you have? I swear…Ullr does better than you."
Deliora snapped.
The room dropped at least twenty degrees.
"What…did…you…just…say?"
Tartarus merely smiled. Deliora snarled at him. "Do not compare me to the pathetic insect. He merely grasps at the possibility of being a God among men, but he is nothing. I could crush him under my heel easily! I am the Queen of Ice damn it!"
Tartarus smirked. "Then show me."
The room suddenly froze instantly, the temperatures subzero.
Tartarus smirked, instantly thinking to one of his more impressive subjects. 'She for all here vast power still loses her temper so easily. She's practically Silver. Luckily enough they haven't met. The one man who nearly killed her when she invaded…she would go ballistic.'
"I am above any human you think you can compare me to Tartarus."
Tartarus smirked, a dark smile illuminating his face before the world was engulfed in a potent flame that did not burn.
It eradicated.
When the flame dispersed the coliseum was no more, and Tartarus stood above the defeated Deliora.
"My queen, you look so sexy when you're angry." Deliora was in no mood for Tartarus' games however, and growled out angrily. Tartarus smirked, stroking her hair. "You were the one who asked me to train you my love. Remember that."
Deliora snorted in anger but looked away, a sure sign of defeat. Tartarus smirked. The powerful demon stretched before he looked at the ground. He lightly tapped it with his foot.
The ground opened and Poseidon shot from it. "Repair."
Poseidon nodded and tapped his trident on the ground. The ground quickly formed another, identical coliseum. Poseidon bowed to Tartarus before he shrunk into the ground. Tartarus nodded before he smirked.
"We have more work to do Deliora."

Daphne looked at Isobu tiringly. "Are you done being ignorant. All we have managed to glean from you was the existence of Edolas. While this is certainly an impressive discovery that leads to many possibilities, I still need more information. How can I use this weapon of hers?" Daphne gestured to the spear at her side. Isobu snorted. "Are you an idiot? Do you not see the lacrima inside of it?" Daphne raised an eyebrow, looking at the object. She searched it thoroughly before she frowned. "I see a chamber…but I lack the capability to open it. Is that the chamber where the lacrima is contained?" Isobu nodded, causing Daphne to smile.
Daphne stretched before she gave the creature a dark look. "Last question before I'm done with you my sweet Isobu…"
Isobu snarled but nodded. Daphne glanced at Akira briefly, noticing how the teen did not even look interested in the conversation going on. Daphne nodded and quickly pressed a button on the floor that no one but her had noticed. The cage Isobu was contained in shook before it exploded outwards and wrapped around his body.
"How would you like to be free?"
Akira's eyes snapped open wide as he heard that, but before he could question her on the question he felt a fist slam against his cheek and he was sent flying, unconscious and buried under the rumble his crash created.
Daphne smiled at the success, Isobu covered in a sleek, form-fitting black armor. The armor strained against the Bijuu's body.
'I always had my suspicions that the Bijuu would be easy to control since they were mere beings of magic. It seems I was correct. Magic always desires to have a master…the Bijuu are no different. This armor allows me to control them.'
The mind-controlled Isobu walked over to Akira, clearly intent on finishing him off but Daphne's orders cut him off. "No! He shall be a warning to Mito to never threaten me. For I can threaten even her."
Isobu nodded. Daphne smiled. "Now take me to Edolas. We have many things to do there…and not a lot of time to do it. We must get back to Earthland before Mito finds out where we were or even discovers what happened." The Bijuu nodded and snapped its fingers. Slowly a churning look appeared in the air above them, before a dimensional rip opened. Daphne smirked and was sucked into it, followed by Isobu who closed it immediately afterwards.

Jose smiled as he looked out over the vast expanse of water before him. "Update! How long will it take until we reach Magnolia and Fairy Tail!"
Jose heard a call. "Fifteen minutes sir! The landmass should be coming into sight any minute now!" Jose smiled. "Perfect. Element Four! Gajeel! Cobra! Prepare yourselves!"

Naruto frowned as he looked at Makarov, his eyes crossing with Porlyusica. "Will he be alright?" Porlyusica sighed, nodding. She glanced at Makarov, a look of anger flashing through her eyes. She then slapped him. It was not hard, but it was by no means light. Naruto blanched at her actions but said nothing. He knew better than to instigate something with anyone who worked in medicine. Tsunade and Sakura had beat that lesson into him.
"What happened to him," Naruto questioned. Porlyusica sighed. "His magic was drained due to Airspace Magic. Of course this isn't good for him, especially considering his physical condition. His recovery will take a very long time because no one where there to gather his magic energy. You knew what happened too late for your special magic to be able to assist, and no one else in the guild truly has that capability."
Naruto frowned. "Someone will have to lead the guild and take responsibility in the meantime. I'll do it."
Porlyusica snorted. "Are you dumb? You do realize that you and the Uchiha are already being supervised by the Magic Council. This would do nothing to increase your standing with them. You can only get away with so much while being Wizard Saints. Do not push your luck boy."
Naruto frowned. "What other choice do we have?"
Porlyusica wanted to give Naruto an answer, she truly did, but she had none, and that much was obvious. Her silence all but confirmed it. Naruto frowned, nodding to her his thanks. He then slowly left her house.

Lucy frowned, looking down on herself. Now that she understood the true meaning of Phantom Lord's attack on Fairy Tail she couldn't help but feel responsible. She couldn't believe her father would do something like this. And all of it would have been different if she had simply revealed who she was related to. She would have prepared in time.
She thought back to what had happened after she was caught by that mage. She had been brought to the Phantom Lord hideout and had met the master, Jose Porla, who she had to admit was a terrifying man. While he showed somewhat gentlemanly behavior he was not only perverted but the magic power that he radiated was perverted. He was immensely powerful that was for certain, although from what Lucy had heard he was a Wizard Saint so that was to be expected. However, she managed to escape due to a well-timed, and unexpected, kick to the groin and then Natsu somehow being there to catch her and take her to safety. However, before she left Jose explained what his plans were. Her father had arranged for her capture; however, Jose was going to milk him for all he was worth if he had managed to hang onto Lucy. The corrupt guild master also planned on wiping Fairy Tail off the map, although she had no idea how he planned on doing such.
"I know exactly how you're thinking."
Lucy glanced upwards, surprised to see Levy smiling kindly at her. Levy gently sat down next to the girl, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Lucy none of this is your fault. You cannot blame yourself for the actions of your father."
"But if I had-"
"We do not live in a world of what ifs Lucy," Levy stated. "We live in a world where we must deal with problems as they arise, and I promise you that this is not your fault. It's your fathers. We can deal with him when the time comes, but you need to be strong. For yourself. Times are likely to only get worse due to our actions against Phantom Lord. We need to stick together."
Lucy grumbled. "How can we stick together when it's my fault that our master is injured?" Levy smiled tenderly. "It's my fault too."
Lucy glanced at Levy, confused. "What do you mean? How is this in any way your fault?"
"I was too weak." Levy stated simply. "If I was strong enough to fend off Gajeel I very well could have stopped the entire war right then and there. Phantom Lord wouldn't have had the courage to attack if one of their S-rank mages was defeated by an A-class. So this war is my fault just as much as it is yours. I could have stopped the entire thing before it even began and I failed. Do not blame yourself for this, if you want to blame yourself for something, blame yourself for being too weak. And use that resolve to get stronger."
Lucy was silent, her teary eyes unclear as they looked at Levy. "Those are wise words Levy," Erza said, smiling at the duo. "Lucy, Levy is right. Don't blame yourself. Simply get stronger from the experience. You can deal with your father at a later date."
Lucy frowned, yet she nodded to the two women. She would have said something; however, she was cut off by a voice.
"Fairy Tail mages! You have five minutes to give up Lucy Heartifilia or the entire town will be destroyed!"
The Fairy Tail mages, panicked, rushed outside to see a horrid sight. A large construction was standing outside the building over the ocean. Phantom Lord's headquarters stood there, on large, mechanical legs. From the base a large cannon extended, more specifically, a Jupiter Cannon.
"No way," Cana mumbled, her eyes wide. She couldn't believe her eyes. No guild was supposed to have possession of a Jupiter Cannon, and yet they did. And it was massive. The guild members stood in awe and fear of the large cannon pointed towards them, prepared to blast them to smithereens if they decided to go against Phantom Lord's orders.
However, the threat of death was in no way close enough for them to give up on their friend.
The entire guild stood in front of Phantom Lord's weapon of death, glaring at it with righteous anger. Natsu, Erza, and Naruto all stepped forwards, fury in their eyes. "Just you try it!" Natsu roared, flames roaring around his body. Levy watched the boy with awe, before she stepped forwards to join them, a determined look on her face. "If you send anything at us we'll stop it!"
Naruto smiled at the relatively shy, and extremely nerdy blue-haired girl. He couldn't have been prouder than he was at that moment. He knew Levy was getting more courage, and he feared that her assault would crush any latent courage she may have gotten due to her progress in her training, yet it seemed to only make her bolder and that much more determined.
"She's wrong," Naruto stated however, drawing surprised looks from his guild mates. He blanched mentally as they obviously took his words the wrong way. If they did Jose probably did too. He probably mistook it for fear.
Naruto would correct that mistake.
"We won't stop it…we'll send it back," he muttered, yet his voice seemed to carry throughout the entire air, likely due to his magic. However, suddenly large spheres of magic started forming in the air, spiraling quickly and forming large drills that caused a light sweat to form on Naruto's face. He wasn't quite used to using this technique and it drained quite a bit of his magic. For others it would likely completely exhaust them, but his were almost the same as Makarov's naturally, and thus he could still fight while using this technique effectively.
"one thousand fold!" Naruto roared, finishing his declaration. The spinning drills launched forwards, despite Naruto's statement of returning fire, and almost struck first. However Phantom Lord was quick to respond and send a powerful blast from the Jupiter Cannon, clashing with the drills. Despite Naruto's best efforts, the blast still tore through the attacks, causing him to frown.
"Shit!"
However, before he could do anything Erza rushed forwards, her magic already in action. He watched her move, wide eyes, fear in his eyes. He honestly thought that she was going to die. He knew that she lacked any armor that was capable of stopping such a powerful attack. There was no way, she would have used it to stop several of his attacks had that been the case.
However, as Naruto rushed to stop Erza from rushing to an idiotic death he felt a hand grip him and hold him back. "Let her go."
Naruto turned to see Mirajane looking at him, a kind smile on her face. "What do you mean, LET HER GO? She'll die if she faces that Mirajane! There's no way she can stop something like that!"
Mirajane smiled, looking at Naruto how a mother would look at a child who was doubting a family member. Naruto truly felt like a child then, even though he knew that technically he was older than Mirajane, and that was without including his time spent on his home world back when he was a shinobi.
"You're right, in offensive power no one short of you, Master, Sasuke, or Gildarts could stop that attack, but we're not asking Erza to hit back, we're asking her to defend. And Erza can't die, she won't die. She has too much to live for. So she'll stop this attack, and she'll demonstrate why no one should ever fuck with Fairy Tail."
Naruto was about to protest, yet he was cut short by Mirajane's words. He didn't know what made him believe her, her speech, or the fact that she cursed. She rarely cursed. Either way, it wouldn't matter as the blast connected with Erza's magical shield at that very instant.
Naruto called out in worry, however Erza stood strong, the intense magical blast sending her skidding backwards with every passing second. Her armored feet, leaving trails in the ground, pushed forwards with all their might, muscles visibly straining under all the armor. Crimson locks blew in the wind as Erza grunted with effort, the magical shield in front of her flickering briefly as her shield cracked. However, as her pauldrons exploded, she forced herself to stop moving, her eyes alight with grim determination.
She was sick of feeling so weak! She would not fail here!
She pressed her body forwards, her shield cracking even faster, yet she was determined to stop this attack, even at the cost of her own life. Luckily for her she didn't have to. The attack ceased at the exact moment her armor shattered, sending her flying backwards. She gruffly smashed into the ground, exhausted but awake.
"See what I mean," Mirajane stated, a smirk on her face. "Erza can't die here."
Naruto smiled, a sad look in his face. "You're right…I was wrong to doubt her." Mirajane smirked, "Obviously." Naruto rolled his eyes before he turned to glare at the large weapon in front of him. "They won't be able to fire another attack so powerful so quickly," Naruto muttered. "The possibility of them having that much magic at their beck and call is insane."
Mirajane glanced at him. "So what's your plan?"
Naruto smirked, a golden aura highlighting his body. "Defeat everyone on board before they have the chance to hit us again!"
With that Naruto rocketed off, Meteor cloaking his body as he flew, a shining beam of light in the sky. Mirajane watched him with a smile on her face before she looked at the slowly standing Erza.
"Sit tight, Er-chan. It's time for us to take some of the weight off of your shoulders."
With that Mirajane ran forwards, leaping into the sky, and without a second thought, rushed forwards in her Satan Soul, wings unfurled. The sight was something to see. A golden streak of heaven and a dark force of hell rushing towards the powerful structure. However, they were not the only ones as Natsu rushed forwards, flames coalescing around his feet. "Let's go Happy!"
Happy rushed forwards, grabbing Natsu's vest. "Full speed ahead, aye sir!"
Happy allowed his Aera Magic to activate, white, angelical wings sprouting from his back before he rushed off, moving at incredible speeds. Cana and Elfman watched the two with a frown on their face. Both desperately wanted to go help, but they understood their situation.
"We can't fly Elfman. We can only sit and wait."
"I beg to differ." Cana looked at Levy, who was smirking as she wrote in the air. "It might not be very good at it, but I can create some plates for us to run across to reach the guild. Due to my inexperience with such a straining technique though I probably won't be able to do a lot though. Besides…I have some payback to give out."
Cana and Elfman smirked, rushing over to Levy who hurried in creating the words. The three rushed forwards, running across wooden plates towards the large mechanical robot. Lucy, in a desperate fit of emotion, ran behind them, eager to find some way to help.
However, it was obvious Jose had different plans as shades rushed from the machine, charging forwards with obvious mal intent. The four mages rushed on, battling the shades as they ran, their determination showing despite their obvious fear in rushing into such a dangerous situation.
As the shades were either defeated or swarmed forwards the other members of the Fairy Tail guild started launching attacks furiously in an attempt to stop the onslaught of shades. However, no matter how hard the attacks struck the shades reformed.

Jose smirked at the sight of the mages rushing to combat his machine, a dark smile growing on his face. "Cobra…handle the Uzumaki. And Gajeel is seems your wish shall be granted. The Scarlet Swordswoman may have stopped our initial attack but it is unlikely she'll ever be able to fight in this battle. Handle the Salamander as you will. As for the Element Four, we have five unwelcome mages coming aboard. Crush them."
The six mages standing in front of Jose Porla nodded, each bowing to the powerful Wizard Saint, bar one man. Gajeel glared at Cobra but said nothing, simply turning on his heel and stalking out of the room. As the Element Four went to their respective rooms he couldn't help but notice that Cobra held a lacrima in hand, a was talking to a rather shady figure.
"What are you doing, you impurity?"
The lacrima clicked off instantly and Cobra looked at Gajeel, a cold, calculating look in his eyes. "Shut up."
Gajeel's eyes narrowed, and he looked completely ready to punch the man in his face, however Cobra seemed to vanish from thin air and appear behind him. Gajeel's eyes widened at the action.
'I didn't even hear him move!'
Cobra walked on, his feet clacking on the ground audibly. The noise echoed throughout the halls, and only served to mock Gajeel. The Dragonslayer turned, preparing to launch a true attack on the Oracion Seis member, when Cobra simply disappeared. Gajeel growled. The man seemingly had the ability to up and vanish on pure whim. He couldn't smell him, hear him, or see him.
Gajeel growled, his magic power fluctuating in rhythm with his emotions as he stomped back to his section of the mechanism. He was sick and tired of dealing with Cobra. The next time he saw the man, he would go out of his way to defeat him.
XxX
Naruto and Mirajane landed on the building, both of their eyes instantly searching for any possible threats. Naruto frowned, looking at the massive Jupiter Cannon that protruded from the mechanism. "Mirajane, you fly inside and see if you can find a way to destroy this thing. I'll search for Jose."
Mirajane glared at Naruto. "You really think you are in the best condition to be taking on a Wizard Saint. You aren't in top condition you know."
Naruto looked at Mirajane with exasperation. "This isn't my constant drive to put others behind me so I can act like a shield Mirajane. It's more than that. As we speak Jose is already focused on running this operation and controlling those shades. I can get him to stop using those shades, which should let more mages join the battle. More so, I'm the only one capable of matching him. Sasuke hasn't come to grasp how to fight blind, and you, while powerful, are incapable of defeating him. Erza is completely unconscious. I am more than just Kurama's power Mira. I was selected as a Wizard Saint without the Magic Council knowing of my powers."
Mirajane sighed, but conceded. She understood Naruto's point. He was the best fit to fight Jose, at least while Makarov was out of commission.
"I leave it to you then."
Mirajane then took flight, swinging inside the cannon, looking for any way to take it down.
"I find it funny how you didn't mention me in that picture you gave her. I wonder, did you forget about me? Or do you think it'll be such an easy task to defeat me?"
Naruto turned, his eyes glowing a bright gold as he glared at the man before him. "Cobra…I will defeat you handily. Then I will move on to Jose. You'll be my warmup."
Cobra smirked, poison slowly leaking from the pours on his body, coating him slightly in an armor of poison. "Well then, show me what you can do then."
Naruto vanished in a flash of gold, moving faster than most people could track. However, Cobra didn't have to use his eyes, and instead leaned back, dodging Naruto's initial punch. "I can hear you," Cobra said, smirking as he launched a kick. Naruto managed to dodge, however he was unprepared for the surprisingly fast follow-up from the powerful man. Cobra's roundhouse slammed into his face, sending him fling away. Cobra smirked, whistling. Naruto's eyes narrowed as he managed to stop himself in the air, however they widened immediately as a concussive blast of sound hit his chest, forcing the air from his lungs. A piercing ringing reached his ears immediately afterwards, causing him to cry out in immense pain. He lost focus on his Meteor and started to plummet.
Naruto groaned, fighting through the immense pain in his ears before black winds surged around his body, catching him, mid-fall. He then glared at Cobra, looking down on him as if he was his superior.
"I've been fighting since before you were born," Naruto whispered, yet somehow Cobra still heard it. "And you're gonna see all the dirty tricks I've got up my sleeve," Naruto snarled.
Cobra rolled his eyes. "Words of an insolent brat."
Naruto simply raised an eyebrow, his black winds disappearing in order to cloak his body in a golden hue. Suddenly several copies of him formed, clones, each with their own Meteor attached to them. Naruto drew a Thunder God Kunai, smirking. He then rushed forwards, his clones trailing. They began to spiral, forming a large spherical form of light.
Cobra rolled his eyes. "Sound Wave!" Cobra let out a wave of pure sound with his shout, the wave tearing the sky asunder as it rushed forwards. Naruto smirked, halting his flight as his clones flew forwards, a single gap in their formation like the red dot of a scope.
"Meteors Aim!"
A large, dense orb of magic formed in front of Naruto before it shot forwards, slipping right through the gap in Naruto's clones rush. It slammed into the wall of sound, halting it briefly as Naruto prepared another strike. "Ursa Major!" Golden light congregated around Naruto's clones, and in the center of their spherical formation a large, golden bear emerged, rushing forwards, tendrils of magic trailing behind it. The real Naruto smiled, a small, blue ball in his hands. He then threw his Thunder God Kunai before he blitzed forwards.
The sound waves shattered the dense ball of magic that Naruto initially formed, rushing forwards to confront the bear. The clash between the two powerful attacks met at a standstill before they erupted violently, neither able to overcome the other. The clones of Naruto took advantage of the situation, rushing forwards and unleashing a barrage of strikes against Cobra.
As the first clone neared Cobra jumped backwards, easily avoiding the clumsy haymaker attempt. He launched a lazy kick that sent it flying backwards, yet it flipped before firing off a pulse of golden light. Cobra didn't even seem remotely surprised however, instead snapping his fingers.
"Sound Wall."
A wall of sound slowly formed in front of Cobra, and the golden beam slammed into it, halted completely. Cobra smirked as the clone made a confused look. However, suddenly several clones appeared around Cobra, each rushing forwards. Cobra glanced around the circle, walking to the edge of the platform he stood on as he idly watched them.
Slowly, the man pulled his hands back before launching them forwards waves of sound blasting off them. The clones were destroyed on impact, only a few who managed to stop in time remaining. The clones that stopped in time frowned, joining hands as Cobra prepared another strike. A golden hue emanated from them, yet before Cobra could do anything Naruto was behind him, a Rasengan in hand.
"Take this!"
Cobra however reacted instantly, as if he wasn't even surprised, and sent a pulse of sound out from behind him, pushing Naruto back just far enough that his attack missed. The man then launched a kick towards Naruto's head, smirking as he connected, sending Naruto flying. He then turned, completely prepared for the approaching clones, and with a snap of his fingers, a wall of sound formed in front of them, stopping their unified assault. The wall then exploded outwards with another snap of his fingers, destroying the clones.
"No matter what you try, it won't work." Cobra stated. "I can hear your thoughts. Even with these tricks…you'll never beat me. I'm invincible."
The Thunder God Kunai soared towards Cobra's head, and the man was fully prepared for when Naruto appeared, one hand on the kunai while another held the same Rasengan. However, Naruto was to close for Cobra to make a sound barrier and hope to be safe. Instead the man's arm changed, becoming scaly and clawed, with a sheet of poison cloaking around it. His arm gained much more muscle mass, ripping his clothing and turned a deep purple. He raised his arm to block the strike, frowning as the attack attempted to grind into his form.
He held his ground briefly, before he pushed backwards, dispelling the attack and sending Naruto flying backwards. Naruto flipped, halting his flight midair as he glared at the man below him.
"You truly have an impeccable skill set. However, that was just a test. This is where the real battle begins," Naruto stated.
Cobra looked at his lightly wounded arm, irritated that the attack had managed to do so much damage despite it obviously not being the blondes best. He glared at Naruto, a passion in his eyes that he usually lacked.
"I see what he was talking about when he mentioned you. Even without your pet…you truly are a Special War Factor," Cobra whispered. "Luckily for me…I'm the person best suited to taking you down at the moment."
Naruto rushed forwards. Cobra jumped, poison trailing from his feet as both of his arm morphed into monstrosities. The poison jets so-to-speak propelled Cobra through the air, allowing the duo to clash midair.
Their fists clashed midair, resulting in a violent shockwave that sent clouds flying away. However, immediately upon the clash Cobra's poison began to eat away at Naruto's Meteor, slowly degrading its potency. Naruto's eyes widened, feeling his Meteor slowly weakening. 'He's capable of degrading my magic simply through contact? I can't afford to hold back then.'
Naruto lashed out with a kick, yet Cobra raised his other arm, blocking it stoutly. Naruto frowned, pushing off the leg, firing out several beams of light from his feet. Cobra smirked, rushing forwards before he flipped upside down.
"Poison Dragon's Spiral Jaw!"
Poison began to gather in large amounts around Cobra's legs before he spun, and dual poison whips lashed around in trails, shattering the beams of light on contact. Cobra smirked, using the whips to propel himself directly at Naruto, launching a kick that sent Naruto flying backwards. Naruto flipped, irritation on his face. He dropped his Meteor, before black winds surged around his body, hugging him delicately.
Cobra smirked, floating in the air above Naruto. "I suppose this is when the fight truly gets interesting no?" Cobra asked. Naruto simply vanished in a blur of speed. Cobra's eyes widened at the sheer speed, but still managed to block Naruto's initial strike.
'He's so fast! I can hear his thoughts but I can still barely keep up!'
Naruto snarled, and his black winds surged. Instead of Cobra's poison corroding the winds the winds began to shred away Cobra's poison and scales causing the man to howl in pain. Cobra shot backwards, Naruto hot on his heels.
"I thought you said this was where the battle truly began," Naruto roared. "Well come here and face me!"

Mirajane and Natsu, having met up in the center of the Jupiter Cannon stood facing their opponent, glares on each of their faces.
"So who are you exactly," Natsu asked, flames licking his body. The man before them eyed Natsu with disinterest, focusing more on Mirajane. "Me? I'm Totomaru."
'Totomaru huh? He looks like some sort of ninja,' Mirajane muttered. 'If that's true Natsu definitely isn't a good match for him. Fighting guys who use subtly has never been his strong suit.'
Totomaru watched the duo, waiting for who would act first, his two-toned hair of black and white swaying idly in the wind that rushed in from the outside. His hair was styled in a Japanese-style top knot on the back of his head, the black portion overlaying the front and left side of his head. The smaller white portion was concentrated on the left, with the top knot also having the two separate colors correspondingly. The, horizontal black bars passed across the ridge of his nose and both cheeks in a linear formation, the one in the middle being the longest. He was garbed in ninja-like attire. A long, orange-red gi was wrapped around his body, held together by a black belt with prominent reddish fur around the collar. Both sides were made of thick fishnet, with looser fishnet appearing on his forearms. A simple shirt was visible under the gi, and a pair of loose black pants were tucked inside black boots. A katana was strapped to his left hip.
Mirajane looked at Totomaru with light disinterest. "Go ahead Natsu…I'll handle him."
Natsu looked at Mirajane with surprise. "Mira…alright!"
Mirajane nodded as Natsu rushed forwards, before he shot upwards, blowing through the ceiling before Totomaru could stop him.
"Well that was probably a smart choice," Totomaru stated. Mirajane raised an eyebrow at the statement, confused. "What do you mean?" Totomaru simply smiled, drawing his katana before he rushed forwards at blinding speeds. A golden glow shot from his katana and he slashed downwards, letting a burst of fire arc towards Mirajane. Mira snorted, raising a hand and catching the powerful crimson flame, before her eyes widened as it began to push her back.
"What? There was not enough magic in that to do this," Mira stated, struggling. She resorted to using two hands to stop the crimson flame, yet it still rushed forwards.
"Crimson Fire." Totomaru stated, a smile on his lips. Mirajane frowned, still being pushed backwards, no matter how hard she tried to resist. 'This doesn't make any sense!'
Mirajane growled, sick of being pushed back by someone shouldn't have had the capability to defeat her, despite his unique and strange abilities. Magic gathered around the palms of her hands, the color of the void. She snarled. A blast of Darkness Magic shot off of her hands, fighting against the flame, yet even it was incapable of stopping it's advance.
"It's pointless," she heard from behind her. She turned her head, to see Totomaru preparing another strike with his black, crimson fire flickering off of his blades base. "You can't stop Crimson Fire. It's insurmountable. You should have left the flame brain to fight me."
Totomaru then lashed out, another arc of crimson fire arcing off of his blade, slamming into Mirajane's back. The white-haired mage cried out, pain vibrating throughout her entire body. 'If I can stop it…I'll just avoid it then!'
Mirajane suddenly unfurled her wings and rushed to the side, getting out of Totomaru's trap, several burns on her body. She glared at the man, breathing heavily. Totomaru snorted. "So you managed to dodge it once. You definitely can't do it again."
Totomaru then waved his hands, and the two arcs of flame rushed towards Mirajane. Her eyes widened.
"Pyrokinesis!"
Mirajane frowned, jumping backwards in an effort to avoid the crimson flames, idly watching as even the ground they struck failed to stop their advance. 'These flames are weird. It's like nothing, no matter how powerful, are capable of stopping them. I know for a fact that I should be stronger than this guy. So what the hell is going on here?'
Totomaru smirked, waving his hands and sending the arcs of flame towards Mirajane once again. Mirajane frowned, her wings exploding outwards. She began to gather Darkness Magic in between her palms, her eyes glowing with power. "I'll need some room if I'm to do this," she muttered. She glanced at the large lacrima in the center of the room, obviously the container for the magic required to fire the Jupiter Cannon.
Mirajane smirked, glancing at the approaching crimson arcs before she let loose. "Soul Extinctor!"
Mirajane flung her hands forwards, the void of darkness ripping forwards in a beam, taking in all light and letting nothing escape. The powerful blast connected with the crimson flames, and unlike the attacks before it, managed to completely annihilate the crimson flames, causing Totomaru's eyes to widen. The massive attack soared forwards, forcing him to dash out of the way. However, in his haste he completely forgot about the lacrima behind him and the powerful attack easily shattered it, blowing a hole in the wall right afterwards.
The large building shook violently as its structural integrity was challenged. Parts of it even began to fall off. Mirajane watched the crumbling building, a grin on her face. Her wings extended before she slowly flew up into the air. Totomaru took his eyes off of the crumbling area, turning to face Mirajane instead. He frowned.
'She can stop Crimson Fire, and that's my strongest. There's no way any of the others will be able to handle someone of her caliber. Crap. Crimson Fire is supposed to have the quality of an unstoppable force…but she completely vanquished it. Am I still not strong enough to use it properly?'
Totomaru raised his blade, dashing forwards as Mirajane raced for the hole in the wall. He quickly conjured flames on his blade, however this time they were orange. "Orange Fire!"
The arc of orange flame shot forwards towards Mirajane. However, despite their mass she easily dispersed the flames with a single powerful flap of her wings. She snorted, looking at Totomaru with amusement. "Is this truly the best that you have to offer me?"
Totomaru snarled, his eyes glowing. "You truly are deserving of the title of S-rank, Mirajane Strauss," Totomaru said. "That's why I'll finish you with this one attack!"
Mirajane raised an eyebrow, her body tensing. Slowly, she gathered Darkness Magic in her palms, just in case the attack proved dangerous. Totomaru gathered flames on his blade, however they were not one set color. The flame changed colors, forming a vast multitude of bright flames that circled around his blade and up his forearms, ending at his elbows. Totomaru raised his katana, causing Mirajane to brace herself. She was prepared.
"Face this! The deadliest flame! Rainbow Fire!"
A large arc of flame raced towards Mirajane, who smirked at the flame. She could feel the magic flowing from it. It was indeed powerful, but she could defeat it. She slammed her Darkness Magic together, forming a small orb. A smirk graced her features once again.
"Evil Explosion!"
The crackling orb of Darkness Magic shot forwards, slamming into Totomaru's flames. Briefly it looked like the two would reach a stalemate, yet Mirajane's attack suddenly surged forwards, and struck Totomaru, exploding on contact.
A scream of pain left Totomaru's lips, however it was quickly muffled due to the room collapsing on him. Mirajane smirked, glancing upwards into the sky. She was prepared to go back into the building when she noticed Naruto fighting a man with strange hair in the air.
"That's not Jose," she muttered. Mirajane frowned. "If Naruto's being held up by a man that powerful…Jose is free…I have to stop him."
Mirajane glanced upwards towards the top of the robot before she shot upwards, her mind set on facing one person.
XxX
Jose Porla frowned as news of Totomaru's defeat reached his ears. "I see…" he muttered. "Switch all engines. We're transitioning into Super Mage Giant Phantom MK II form now!"
The engineers in the room with Jose nodded, and the magic fields in front of them slowly began to rotate.
Outside the room the large building slowly shifted. The building turned on one of its sides, stnaidng on the mechanical legs on that side before it changed its layout. Several legs were detached from the body, with a single massive pair remaining where the base stood. Two more limbs sprouted from the top part. Mechanical parts appeared connected to the main body by several pipes. A small, helmet-like head sprouted on the highest part. The building had transformed into a massive humanoid mechanical being.
"Start the Abyss Break!"
XxX
"What the hell," Mirajane muttered as she glanced upon the new monstrosity that was now before her eyes. Mirajane turned away from the machine, noticing Levy, Elfman, Cana, and Lucy all rushing towards it on platforms Levy was barely making in time. She smiled. "Hurry up you four. We'll need all the help we can get."
Mirajane then turned, racing up towards where she presumed Jose would be once again.
XxX
Levy's eyes widened at the massive robot they were now so close to, watching as its arms slowly transitioned so that they were in front of it as it started to slowly draw a seal. Levy frowned, tracing over the massive Magic Circle it was drawing before her eyes widened.
"That's an Abyss Break!" She called out, fear in her voice. Elfman, Cana, and Lucy both glanced at her, confusion in their eyes. "What's that," Cana asked. Levy frowned, speeding up the casting of her platforms. "Just know that it's a spell powered by the four basic elemental magic's, Fire Magic, Water Magic, Earth Magic, and Wind Magic. Someone, or four different people, in that machine are feeding their energy to create that spell. We have to find those four people and defeat them before they can finish that spell. No one here is capable of stopping something that destructive!"
The trio next to her nodded, increasing their pace as they raced towards the building. They were so close, yet they felt a million miles away.
XxX
Natsu groaned as the building stopped shifting, his stomach slowly starting to settle.
"Well look at Master Jose just gifted me…" a dark chuckle rose from the room Natsu was in causing him to slowly turn, still unstable from his motion sickness. "Salamander…I see I'll finally get to fight you."
Natsu groaned as his eyes rested on Gajeel Redfox, before they burned alight with a fire. "Gajeel…" Natsu muttered, flames slowly beginning to lick his body. "Just the person I wanted to see."
Gajeel smiled, a green magical aura spiking off of his body as he walked towards Natsu. Natsu stomped forwards to face him, their foreheads touching as they glared bloody murder at each other.
"These skies are getting kind of crowded you know," Gajeel muttered, an insane grin on his face. "I think I'll have to show you why there's only enough room for one dragon in the sky!"
Natsu snarled, flames licking his skin. "Sure…I'll melt your tin can ass to the ground."
Gajeel snorted. "Good luck with that."

Erza groaned as she awoke, her head pounding. She glanced to her side, Loke kneeling next to her as she woke up.
"Are you okay Erza?" Erza groaned, trying to stand. Loke quickly rushed over, gently forcing her back to the ground. "Careful. You're hurt. You need to rest. Leave the rest to all of us."
Erza groaned. "No," she muttered out. "Everyone needs to get out of here. We can't stop a blast like that again."
"I don't think we'll need to Erza." Erza raised an eyebrow, before her eyes widened as she turned to look at the destroyed Jupiter Cannon that was falling into the ocean.
"No way," she muttered. "Who did it?"
Loke smirked. "Naruto or Mirajane. See what I mean now? You can rest."
Erza smiled at Loke, thankful, yet she still stood despite his protests. "That is good news. But I still cannot rest. Our guild needs out help. Jose is still a dangerous opponent. By myself I cannot defeat him, but I can help Naruto or Mirajane defeat him."
Loke frowned. "Alright…if you're sure. I'll hold the fort down here."
Erza smiled, changing into her Heaven's Wheel Armor before she rushed forwards, flying towards the giant robot. Loke smiled, before he dodged a shade that swiped at his head.
"Keep up the attack," he called out to the remaining Fairy Tail mages. A shout came up, and with renewed vigor they lashed out at the enemies before them.

Naruto grabbed Cobra's ankle, a silent roar in his eyes as he threw the man down towards the waters below. Cobra flipped midair, poison spiraling around his body. Snarling, the Dragonslayer rushed back towards the Godslayer, poison trailing from his fingertips.
"Poison Dragon's Crushing Fang!"
A poisonous mist trailed from Cobra's fingertips as he swiped his clawed hands at Naruto. Naruto however dodged the attack, using his winds to blow away the poison with ease. Naruto then moved in, a blue orb forming in his hands. He thrust it forwards, yet Cobra dodged, simply vanishing in a blur of speed before he appeared behind Naruto, reaching forwards with his arm cloaked in poison. Naruto's eyes widened, and he quickly grabbed a Thunder God Kunai, throwing it before Cobra reached him. Cobra grabbed Naruto before he could get away though, his poison disintegrating Naruto's shirt and burning his back.
Naruto screamed, pain lacing his voice before he crumpled towards the ground. Cobra smirked as he saw the Rasengan disappear, channeling his magic.
"Sound Palm!"
A concussive blast of sound shot forwards as Cobra thrust his hand towards Naruto. It slammed into Naruto forcing him into the water below. Cobra smirked, closing his eyes and taking the opportunity to listen. He knew that that alone would not have defeated the blonde, and he wanted to be prepared for anything.
Thus, he quickly prepared himself when Naruto appeared in front of him, an attack already ready.
"Sky God's Bellow!"
"Poison Dragon's Roar!"
Massive streams of black air met a stream of poison that clashed in midair seemingly reaching a stalemate. However, soon the black wind began to push back the poison, dispersing it on contact. Cobra's eyes widened, and instead of continuing in a futile effort to push the attack back he stopped it.
"Orchestra!"
Cobra then let out a high-pitched shout that echoed in the air, reaching Naruto's eardrums before his attack made contact.
Naruto roared in pain, his ears bleeding from the intense sound, yet he held strong, smirking as he heard Cobra's shouts of pain. As the winds dispersed he saw Cobra flying, blood spilling from several deep gashes on his chest. Cobra however smirked when he heard Naruto.
"You don't look so good."
Naruto looked down and couldn't deny the man. His shirt was gone, revealing several dark purple bruises, along with a burning hand print on his back. His ears were bleeding and he could feel Cobra's poison rushing through his bloodstream. Naruto smirked despite this however.
"That's where you are wrong."
Cobra raised an eyebrow, before he shot forwards in an attempt to stop Naruto's plan. It didn't matter though however, as he didn't make it in time. A storm of black winds erupted around Naruto, hiding his body from view. Cobra snarled, attempting to break the storm with several powerful attacks, yet each one failed.
Slowly the storm began to dissipate, revealing Naruto without a single injury on his body.
"I didn't know Godslayers could heal themselves," Cobra said, an annoyed look on his face. Naruto laughed at the frustrated look. "Not all Godslayers. Sky Godslayers however possess this unique ability."
Cobra rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Admittedly that's a frustrating ability, but your magic power still hasn't grown any. It's only physical damage that you are capable of healing."
"My magic pool is larger than yours…you know this right?"
Cobra snorted. "Your point? My poison will end up crippling you before it proves to play much of a role." Naruto snorted. "Really?" Naruto then opened his mouth, and began to eat the air. Streams of air rushed into his mouth as the air became thinner. Cobra's eyes widened. 'How? I couldn't hear his thoughts! I didn't know what he was planning!'
Naruto closed his mouth, a toothy grin on his face. "Ah…feels good to be back at one hundred percent."
Cobra snarled, feeling Naruto's magic pool be completely rejuvenated. "I was ignorant…" Naruto laughed. "Yes you were…and I've finally figured you out. You can read people's minds, at least to a certain degree, through some method. That's fine. Let's see if you can get passed these mental barriers I have."
Cobra frowned, but nodded nonetheless, and threw himself forwards. He couldn't afford to hold back. He would have to be risky if he wanted to win. He was fighting a god, and it had the home field advantage.
Cobra closed his eyes, gathering his magic, a deep purple glow radiating from his body. Naruto watched carefully, the spiraling black winds increasing in intensity. 'If he's capable of doing what I think he's planning that will be a problem. I might have to use God Drive to actually push back what he is planning.'
Cobra's eyes then snapped open, his eyes glowing a deep purple. "Feel my wrath! A demonic Dragonslayer!"
Cobra rushed forwards, poison leaking from his back before exploding outwards, forming large wings behind him. Naruto snorted, his magic spiking. "Sky God's…" he began. He raised his arm.
"CLEAVER!"
Naruto swung down his arm, and black winds raced forwards in a thin, but highly concentrated blade that carved the very air itself. Tornado's surged behind the strike tearing at the skies themselves, causing the water below them to churn and surge into the sky, surrounding the duo in a watery prison.
The scene was so picturesque that one could claim it was the stuff of legends.
As the blade neared him Cobra's eyes widened. 'I have to dodge that!'
Cobra then vanished, his body moving at extremely fast speeds. Naruto's eyes widened at the sheer speed of Cobra's movements. 'He simply disappeared, and he didn't make any sound!'
Cobra appeared behind Naruto, his arm shrouded in deadly poison. "Poison Dragon's Sharp Horn!"
Naruto's eyes widened, before he formed a thin wall of black wind behind him, stopping Cobra's punch for only a second before he surged forwards, his arm nearly making contact with Naruto's back. However, in that time Naruto managed to draw a Thunder God Kunai and throw it, teleporting away almost instantly. Cobra frowned, disappointed at the missed attack. He thought he would strike the Uzumaki no matter what he did and thus hadn't made a backup plan for if the Jinchuriki actually managed to get away.
Naruto glared at Cobra. "Energy-Make: Surging Storm!"
Naruto's magic surged off him in a bluish-golden wave, forming several large bolts of lightning that rushed towards Cobra, charging the air. Cobra raised his hands at the incoming attack, poison leaking from them. As the attacks struck his hands they weakened, his poison devouring them.
"Devour this! Energy-Make: Choodama Rasengan!"
A massive sphere of energy formed in Naruto's hands as he flew forwards, the massive, spinning form of the Rasengan dwarfing both of them easily in size. Naruto thrust his hand forwards, and as the attack thunder forth Cobra prepared his own spell. "Poison Dragon's Twin Fang!"
Cobra waved his hands in a cross formation, forming two large waves of poison in the shape of a snake's fangs. The two waves clashed with the powerful attack, the two eventually negating each other out after a long moment of equilibrium.
Cobra snarled. "Poison Dragon's Wing Flap!" Cobra waved his hands once more, causing several elongated snaked-shaped streams of poison to rush towards Naruto. Naruto watched the crisscrossing streams of poison, a dull look on his face. "Sky God's Boreas!"
Naruto extended his hand, forming a large black whirlwind contained in a small vicinity before he thrust his hand forwards, a large whirlwind of black wind surging to combat the poisonous streams. The wind forced the streams to dissipate as it surged forwards. Cobra frowned. "Orchestrator!"
Cobra waved his hands in front of him, moving them in a melodious pattern as sound shattered through the sky, green energy clashing with the whirlwind and slowly but surely forcing it backwards as it pressed against it from all sides. Naruto's eyes widened at the display of force, and instead threw his Thunder God Kunai at the sound. The force of the sound, combined with the speed of the wind sent the Thunder God Kunai flying in a random direction, however he clasped his hands together. "Energy-Make: Thunder God Kunai Shadow Clones!"
Several energy copies of the Thunder God Kunai exploded into existence, flying in every direction. Cobra's eyes widened at the vast multitude, concentrating on Naruto's thoughts as to which one he would teleport to. His eyes widened.
'I can't stop this attack! There are too many possibilities that he's thinking of!'
Naruto teleported to a seemingly random kunai, a Rasengan in hand. He then smirked as several copies of him suddenly appeared, each with their own Rasengan in hand at their own respective kunai. Cobra frowned, poison surging around his body. "Poison Dragon's Guard!"
The clones thrust their hands forwards into the shield of poison Cobra conjured, their spheres grinding against the poison. Cobra growled, trying his hardest to hold the attacks back, however the opposing forces faded simultaneously. Naruto smiled, rushing forwards, his Rasengan already in motion. Cobra smirked however, poison forming on his hand. "Poison Dragon's Sharp Horn!"
Naruto rolled his eyes, dodging the strike as he flew to the side, Cobra's eyes widening momentarily. "There's no way. I saw it. You were planning on taking the hit."
Naruto smiled as his Rasengan connected with Cobra's body, expanding upon impact. "You seem to be able to read my mind…so frankly I don't think I'd be capable of hiding my thoughts from you without help that I don't have at the moment. So I simply thought many different strategies to get out of this situation."
The Rasengan then surged outwards, expanding rapidly before exploding sending Cobra flying backwards. Naruto smirked. "Energy-Make: Avenger's Rasengan."
Cobra flew backwards, slamming into the watery depths below the duo. Naruto smirked, gathering magic power. He was going to make sure that this fight was over, completely. "Sky God's Bellow!"
As the massive streams of black air surged towards the water, churning it and sending it flying with their force Cobra emerged, his body shrouded in Poison Dragon Slayer Magic. The two clashed, and for a moment it looked like Cobra might push through, all of his poison somehow managing to erode some of the Sky God Slayer Magic, however with a reinvigorated push from Naruto the blast sent Cobra into the ocean, deeper than before as it expanded and rotated, sending water flying in every direction.
Cobra cried out in blinding pain, his body incapable of moving. He was lucky he was blasted so deeply into the water; otherwise Naruto would most definitely have come for him. However, it was also a double-edged sword. He would drown before he made it to the surface himself.
"You've done your job Cobra. We'll be bringing you back home now."
Cobra groaned, his body overcome with a golden light before he vanished. Naruto sat there, waiting for him to reappear after the golden flash, however nothing happened. As he turned to see the shades still moving he frowned. Jose was still undefeated if those shades were anything to go off of. He turned, rushing towards the head of the massive robot before him.
XxX
Natsu and Gajeel glared at each other, both of their bodies tense and waiting for the other to make the first move. Yet both had notoriously bad patience and thus launched a punch simultaneously, striking each other in the chin and sending both of them stumbling backwards.
Gajeel turned his head, raising his arm like it was a lance. "Iron Dragon's Club!"
Gajeel's arm glowed briefly before it rushed forwards, a large iron club in its place. Natsu saw it approaching with wide eyes before he grasped it, flames dancing off of his hands as he was pushed backwards from the blow. Gajeel's eyes widened.
"Take this!"
Natsu turned on one foot, adjusting his entire body weight into the effort of throwing Gajeel. Flames shot from his elbows in an effort to gain more momentum, and he lifted the heavy teenager, slamming him into the ground. Gajeel groaned, shaking the stars from his vision as he pumped more magic into his club, producing numerous smaller ones that slammed into Natsu, sending the Fire Dragonslayer stumbling backwards.
Natsu growled, shaking his head before he spewed flames from his hands. "Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame!"
Natsu howled, the largest construct of flame he had ever created surging above his head like a star. He then launched the ball of flame, yet Gajeel did not even look remotely worried. "Iron Dragon's Roar!"
A tornado of blunt force winds and shrapnel tore from Gajeel's mouth, shredding the flame like tissue paper. Natsu's eyes widened at the impressive sight, the incoming tornado roaring towards him in rage.
Natsu roared back with defiance. "Fire Dragon's Roar!"
A similar tornado of flame exploded from Natsu's mouth, colliding with Gajeel's own strike with vicious impunity. The flame expanded, forming a large ball of withering heat that slowly began to melt the very paint and steel off of the room the duo were contained in.
Gajeel's eyes widened, and he pushed back harder. As the two tornado's eventually met in equilibrium they exploded, the explosion blasting a wall and the ceiling to pieces, revealing the sky above them. As the dust cleared sunlight rained in on them, illuminating the duo. Both stood facing on another, their eyes filled with rage and battle lust.
Gajeel watched as Natsu rushed forwards, flames highlighting his entire body. Quickly raising a hand Gajeel coated his arm in a thick coat of iron scales, easily catching Natsu's body before he flung him into the ground. Natsu coughed, the flames around his body dispersing. Gajeel leapt at him, slamming his coated fist into Natsu's face, breaking his nose instantly. Blood coated Gajeel's hands as he smiled with glee.
Cocking back another blow Gajeel let loose, slamming another savage punch into Natsu's cranium, yet the Fire Dragonslayer fought back, his body heating up like an oven before he grasped Gajeel's face and let his hands explode in a torrent of intense fire. Gajeel howled, stumbling backwards as the flames on his body increased. Natsu surged forwards, slamming a flaming fist into his gut before he sent a jet of fire from the bottom of his feet, slamming his knee into Gajeel's nose, sending the teenager flying into a wall. Natsu followed, jets of flame propelling him forwards as he slammed into Gajeel's body headfirst.
"Fire Dragon's Sword Horn!"
The duo slammed through the wall, propelling themselves through several chambers of the robot before Gajeel managed to stop himself. "Bastard!"
Gajeel grabbed Natsu's body and forced him into a clinch, slamming a knee into the pinkette's chest. Natsu coughed, spittle flying from his mouth as his body lowered from the intense pain. Gajeel raised his knee again, this time covered by iron scales, although Natsu could not see it. The knee rattled Natsu's brain, black spots and stars spiraling into existence.
Natsu tried to blink out the stars from his eyes, yet they were replaced as Gajeel kept his head in place, landing three more skull shattering knees before he let Natsu's head fly backwards.
Raising his leg Gajeel smiled before he launched a kick. "Iron Dragon's Club!"
Gajeel's leg transformed into a club and smashed into Natsu's chest, breaking two of his ribs as he was sent flying backwards. Gajeel smiled, launching his arm forwards as he retracted his leg. "Iron Dragon's Harpoon!"
Firing off his arm Gajeel gave off a little smile as his hand, connected to a large iron club, grasped Natsu's head before he yanked the pinkette back over to where he was, launching a savage, iron scale-coated punch that cracked the pinkette's solid cranium. Natsu stumbled backwards, blood leaking from his mouth and forehead as he slowly stood, his body battered and his mind confused.
Gajeel smiled, rushing forwards to launch another knee, yet Natsu managed to react, spinning on one foot before he launched a devastating punch that slammed into Gajeel's neck sending the flying through another wall. The sheer force behind the punch nearly caved Gajeel's neck.
Gajeel groaned as he stood, seeing a large orb of red descend on him. "Fuck."
A massive explosion shook the body of the robot as the attack sent Gajeel flying through the room, Natsu rushing behind him, jets of flame shooting from his feet.
Natsu raised his hand, a surging white flame exploding off of it. "Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" The flaming fist slammed into Gajeel's skull, sending him flying out of the pre-destroyed wall and into the open air. Natsu cried out in rage, smiling as he saw burns on Gajeel's body. Quickly rushing forwards, he slammed into Gajeel's body, a torrent of flames following him as the duo descended towards the open water. As they neared the liquid it slowly began to evaporate, Natsu's heat too intense for it to stand up to.
Gajeel groaned, snarling in outrage as he grasped the mage. "Don't underestimate me Salamander!"
His legs transforming into large iron clubs, Gajeel shot them forwards, slamming into the large, metallic legs of the robot. The stunt managed to stop their descent almost instantaneously, but it jarred Gajeel's legs, and he felt his body strain.
Natsu's eyes widened at the stunt before he quickly straddled Gajeel's waist, raising a fist.
"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"
Natsu lashed out with several punches to Gajeel's head that snapped his head to the side, yet Gajeel quickly recovered turning to face Natsu as he endured the blows. He then launched his own punches forwards, fists covered in iron scales. He relished in the cracking sound they made as they collided with Natsu's head and body. The duo remained in that position, savagely beating each other for some time, until Gajeel grasped Natsu's body, a smile on his face.
"Iron Dragon's Roar!"
Natsu's eyes widened before he was blown straight into the air by the attack, shrapnel shredding his skin like tissue paper and blunt force winds sending him flying back into the room their battle initially started in; yet not before slamming through several parts of the robot. Gajeel smiled, reeling himself in to the robot before he slowly began to climb the machine.
"Salamander…" he hissed with venom.
Suddenly his arm transformed into his harpoon and he shrugged himself back up to the room, glaring at Natsu who had his eyes closed.
"Giving up Salamander," Gajeel asked. Natsu snorted, white flames searing off of his skin. "I'm just getting warmed up," Natsu growled. Gutturally he roared, "Fire Dragon's Roasting Bath!"
Natsu howled, his eyes glowing with magical power as flames rocketed off of his form, spreading off of him in a wave and searing the floor the duo stood on. Gajeel's eyes widened as his entire body was instantly covered with iron-scales, protecting him from the intense flash of flames. He raised an eyebrow at the surprisingly weak assault, preparing to mock Natsu until he realized he was surrounded in a vortex of roaring flame.
"What the?"
Natsu smiled, the white flame all around them increasing in intensity. "You're in my domain now…Gajeel!"
Gajeel snarled, rushing forwards hastily. Natsu smiled, flames from around the room coalescing around his arm as he caught Gajeel's punch with a single hand. He then grasped the hand, smiling as the heat and flame sent cracks searing up Gajeel's arm. Gajeel cried out in pain before raising his other arm, the appendage glowing.
"Iron Dragon's Sword!"
Gajeel's arm morphed into a large, jagged blade that he brought down on Natsu. Natsu's eyes widened, his instincts telling him to jump away yet he knew he wouldn't make it in time. Instead he raised his other hand, flames surging around it as he caught the blade. Gajeel's eyes widened at the act. He was right to be surprised. This attack could crush through solid stone, and he'd even destroyed buildings with the power behind this blade, yet here someone was…catching it.
Natsu snarled, flames exploding off of his body, leaving him as just a shadowy figure in a white, flaming, eternity. Gajeel howled, the intense heat and flames burning his body. "Damn you!"
Gajeel slowly looked at his blade, and suddenly the blades on the end of the blade started spinning, giving it the appearance of a chainsaw. The intense power behind each rotation cut the flames away and cut into Natsu's hand. Natsu jumped backwards, his blood evaporating instantly due to the intense heat, leaving behind only a disgusting pile of fat and meat.
The wound quickly cauterized itself, something Natsu had to forcibly due as he was resistant to the flame.
Gajeel snarled, raising his blade once more before he brought it downwards, the floor quaking as he dug a hole in it with his blade. With little care for what damage his actions caused he swung the blade wildly, tearing up the ground and causing part of the floor to fall out beneath them. Natsu suddenly reacted, rushing forwards at insane speeds due to his flame. Gajeel raised his sword, and it extended, slamming into Natsu and shredding his chest.
Natsu cried out, blood pooling beside him as he slowly stood, manually cauterizing his wound. Yet Gajeel appeared above him, lashing out with his blade once more. The Fire Dragonslayer barely managed to avoid the blade as it crashed into the ground, creating a large crevice that caused half of the flaming room to drop into a dark abyss.
Natsu growled at the teen. Gajeel simply smirked back.
Then, the two dragons clashed once more.
XxX
Levy, Elfman, Lucy, and Cana all stepped onto the large robot, their eyes wide.
"Woah," was the only word that truly described what they felt.
The four mages walked through the building until they heard a low chuckle.
"Well salut."
The four instantly tensed, trying to find where the voice was coming from, however they heard nothing. Instead of finding any person, rocks and sand surged from the ground, lashing out at Elfman. The large man was pushed away, the strength behind the attack throwing him away.
The trio of other mages rushed after him in worry, however a large, earthen wall raised itself between them. In her panic Lucy slammed his fist against it, instantly regretting her decision.
"Elfman!"
"Keep going," Elfman cried, looking at his opponent. "I'll handle him. Meet up with Naruto, Mira-nee, or Natsu and take down this shitty guild!"
The trio looked reluctant, yet they nodded. "Don't you die on us Elfman!"
Elfman snorted. "That would be most unmanly."
The trio turned, rushing off. Yet Lucy couldn't help but blame herself for this. Her father had caused all of this, if what Jose had said was true. It disgusted her…that her father could cause so much pain and violence simply through the suggestion of money. The fact that Phantom Lord was willing to go this far even though Jose had no intention of giving her back until her father was poor. Jose was a truly disgusting individual, and so was her father.
She would pay them both back tenfold.
Elfman glared at the man before him, disgusted. Elfman distinctly remembered this man from the tournament, as he was the one sole S-ranking mage that gave up. The man who was supposed to fight Matatabi.
The man stood at an average height, with a tiny, pointy mustache and green hair that pointed upwards. A monocle covered his right eye, attached to a slim chain. A slight part of his eye wasn't hidden by it. His other eye looked strange without anything to cover it, giving his face an uneven look. He sported a brown suit with a ragged collar, six prominent protrusions pointing outwards. A white shirt was visible underneath that contrasted well with his red tie. A short cape was attached to his elbows.
"Sol, am I correct?" Elfman stated, his voice low and deadly. He was serious. He had places to be. Sol frowned. "It is Monsieur Sol!"
Elfman frowned, ignoring the man's odd desire for a title. "Move…you're in my way." Sol smiled, "Non, non, non!"
Elfman frowned, his magic spiking. "Beast Arm: Black Bull!"
Elfman's right arm glowed as he sprinted forwards, becoming midnight black and much more muscular. Sol smiled at the mage, doing a backflip away as Elfman's punch collided with the ground, shattering rocks and sending them flying into the air.
'Wait…those rocks weren't there before,' Elfman noticed, yet he was too late to stop Sol's attack. "Roche Concerto!"
The ground around Elfman lit up in a bright, brown magic circle before large rocks flung from the ground and surrounding area, slamming into Elfman violently. The mage coughed, the rocks battering his form as he made a guard and tried to hang on. He wheezed as one particularly large rock hit him in the back, causing him to drop his arms as he momentarily lost feeling in his entire body.
Sol smirked, forming a large fist of earth and stone before he slammed it into Elfman's chest, sending the man flying backwards into the wall of earth. Elfman groaned, but Sol was not done. "Sable Dance!" Elfman groaned as sand buffeted his form, pushing his body around. As he stood there, unable to move, he heard Sol mocking him.
"So it the rumors are true…you can only perform a Beast Soul Takeover with your right arm. You cannot do a successful full-body Takeover."
Elfman's eyes widened, tears and rage building behind his eyes. "Damn it…" Elfman groaned, surging forwards like a hulking behemoth. The sandy whirlwind intensified, yet Elfman kept moving, eventually sprinting forwards at a rapid pace. Sol momentarily looked worried before he smiled.
"I wonder if the rumors about you killing your sister are true too."
Elfman paused, a cold, hard rage piercing his system. "What did you say?"
Sol simply smiled, repeating his question before he slammed Elfman with larger rocks, pushing the teen away from him. Elfman barely felt the impact, more focused on how Sol knew that. That was not common knowledge…for him to know such a thing…
Elfman's rage intensified, his arm changing. "Beast Soul: Iron Bull!"
Elfman rushed forwards, his right arm changing once more. It was now a large metal fist that cried out as it creaked together, producing a horrid sound. Sol squirmed under the sound, but managed to form a large wall of earthen rock that stopped the punch cold. Elfman's eyes widened, completely dumbfounded that his attack had been halted so easily. Sol smiled, forming another fist of rock and slamming it into Elfman's kidney, bending him over and forcing him to see stars as he felt a blaring pain rip through his body.
Elfman's eyes widened, black spots filling his vision slowly. Elfman raised his other arm, shooting it upwards like a rocket and slamming his fist into Sol's body, smiling as the man went flying. He frowned however when he saw the man's body crumble into earth.
"Non non non, you have failed young Strauss."
Elfman slowly heaved his body upwards, glaring at Sol. Sol simply smiled, a cruel and malicious look on his face. "You first fail at a Full-Body Takeover and kill your sister, and then you disgrace her memory by never mastering the technique…what a failure of a brother you are." Elfman roared, his arm surging and glowing a bright green as magic flickered off of his body in his rage. Sol simply smiled, brown magical energy radiating off of the man. "You're nothing but a disgrace. A stain on the Strauss name. I will erase that stain for your marvelous sister!"
Sol's eyes glowed as his magic spiked further. "And then I'll do marvelous things to her…"
Elfman roared, rushing forwards, an angry bull and his eyes only saw red. Sol smiled, "Platre Sonata!"
A large magic formula appeared in front of Sol before a large fist of plaster rocketed forwards, the fist three times the size of Elfman. Elfman roared, launching his fist. The two fists seemed dead even, however Sol simply smiled, sinking his hands into the ground.
Elfman's eyes widened as he felt his feet yanked from under him. The large fist, taking advantage of the lapse in strength, surged forwards, plowing into Elfman and blasting through the wall of the robot, sending him outside.
Elfman groaned, hanging onto the ledge of the robot with his magical hand. He glared at Sol as the man looked down on him, a cruel grin on his face.
"Just where you belong," Sol stated, a smile on his face. "At my feet. With the worms."
Elfman growled, straining his hand as he attempted to bring himself upwards, yet Sol formed another fist of plaster and had it push down on Elfman's hand, forcing him still. Elfman glared.
"You truly are a despicable human being Elfman. You have failed not only your sister, but everyone you loved and cared for. For being such human filth…you must die monsieur."
Elfman growled, raising his other hand in an attempt to wring Sol's throat, yet the fist raised and slammed down on Elfman, blowing him off the edge of the robot, his skull cracked and several ribs broken. As he fell Sol converted the metal of the robot into earth, sending large pillars of rock to slam into Elfman's body violently.
Sol smiled, turning on his heel and walking away. As he lowered his earthen wall to go find the trio of other mages that escaped onto the robot he felt a large spike in magic power and a bestial roar.
Sol smiled. "Well I'll be…"

Lucy, Levy, and Cana frowned they looked at the woman in front of them. They were dripping wet from the rain that seemed to surround the woman. The woman frowned, a distinctly numb look in her eyes before water formed around her like an octopus and rushed forwards. The trio jumped away, fear in their eyes.
"Be careful," Lucy cried out. She glared at the woman, resentment in her eyes. "She's one of the ones who captured me. She uses some form of Water Magic. She's dangerous."
Levy frowned. "She must be one of the people charging the Abyss Break then! Elfman's likely fighting another member!"
Lucy's eyes widened at the realization. "That's true…" Lucy smiled, drawing one of her keys. "Then let's get going!"
Levy nodded, pulling her club from a small word on her arm they hadn't noticed called Seal. Cana simply drew her deck of cards, her eyes hard as she mentally thought of a way to handle the woman before her.
Juvia looked on, finding the girls before her to be completely irrelevant. "Juvia is a rain woman," she stated, before firing off a pulse of water that sent the trio scattering.
Lucy frowned, glancing at Levy. Levy frowned, rushing forwards, twirling her club as if it weighed nothing more than a toothpick. Juvia saw her coming, the rain swarming around her before it shot forwards. Levy smirked, waving a hand in front of her.
"Shield!"
The word appeared before a large shield appeared before her. Levy smirked, grabbing the shield, forming another word.
"Light!"
The shield suddenly grew much lighter as Levy lifted it, the shield easily stopping the blast of water. Juvia frowned, forming another blast, idly noticing Cana drawing several cards.
"Water Slicer!" Waving her arms in an exaggerated motion, thin, scythe-like blades of water towards Levy. Turning, she faced Cana, who was just now completing her spell. "Thunderbolt's Fate!"
The three cards Cana used, 'Lightning', 'Reverse Tower', and 'Lovers', released a large, green magic formula, releasing a large bolt of lightning that sizzled through the air, surging towards Juvia. Cana smirked. "Lightning trumps water," she said, her hair blocking her vision due to the rain.
Juvia water the approaching lightning dispassionately. A surge of water above her head swirled, colliding with the lightning when it was still far from her. The lightning surged through the water, generating an intense aura of power, yet the defense still halted the attack. Cana frowned, drawing more cards. Lucy then decided to step in.
"Open Gate of The Maiden, Virgo!"
Lucy twirled Virgo's key, smiling as Virgo appeared before her, her eyes focused. "You called hime?"
Lucy nodded, pointing at Juvia. "Help us defeat that woman there." Virgo nodded, and suddenly she was gone in a crack of speed, splitting the rain. Juvia's eyes widened as the pink-haired spirit closed in on her, unprepared for any of her opponents to have such speed.
Virgo was upon Juvia before she could do anything, blowing right through the girl's body with no resistance. At first Lucy was horrified, afraid Virgo had killed her, however her eyes widened when she saw Juvia frown, and release a pulse of water that slammed into Virgo's back, sending her flying away.
"What?"
"She can transform her body into water," Levy stated, finally managing to fend off Juvia's attack. She had light cuts on her cheek and arms that had a thin, glossy, sheen of blood covering them, yet the wounds were minor.
Lucy frowned. "Then how do we hit her? Physical attacks won't work." Levy smiled. "Cana…you have to use that lightning attack again. Lucy and I, along with her spirit, should be able to distract her enough that she will get hit by it."
Cana nodded, her hands focused on her cards. "Then go! Wind Edge!"
With 'Heaven' and 'Wind' on top of one another Cana summoned a large wave of wind. The spell tore through the air, sending water everywhere as Juvia's body reformed, only to be scattered once again by the attack. Juvia turned her nearly dead eyes to Cana.
"Juvia is a rain woman," she muttered, before water swarmed her body. Just as she was about to release her attack she eyed Lucy drawing another key. "Water Lock!"
Lucy's eyes widened as a massive sphere of water suddenly formed around her, trapping her inside. Struggling for breath the girl tried to swim, yet the water weighed on her unnaturally, halting her movements. Levy's eyes widened, forming two words.
"Fire! Heat!"
Two words of fire appeared in the air, one red and the other blue. The words quickly transformed into waves of searing heat and flame, evaporating the surrounding water, along with Lucy's prison, with ease. Lucy sent a grateful look to Levy before quickly firing off a round of golden fireworks at Juvia. Juvia rolled her eyes, letting the explosions impact against her body. However, Virgo was suddenly behind the girl, slamming a fist into her heart, watching with fascination as it exploded yet the girl remained standing, unharmed.
"We can't harm her," Lucy stated, a frown on her face. Levy smiled. "Don't worry about it Lucy. Oil, Air, Fire, Heat!"
The combination of words caused an intense chain reaction. A wave of oil swarmed, splattering down all over Juvia, who was delayed by Cana sending a wave of fire at her. Covered in oil, Juvia quickly tried to free herself. However, she was too late as the dual waves of fire collided against her body, the air simply supplementing the two attacks, making them larger and more powerful.
Lucy's eyes widened, awe in her eyes as she heard Juvia's cries of pain before the blue-haired woman managed to dispel the water, burns over her body and a crazed look in her eyes. Levy smiled. "Not often you actually get hit huh?"
Juvia cried out in outrage. "JUVIA IS A RAIN WOMAN! Water Slicer!" A fusillade of the scythe-like water blades surged through the air, their numbers too numerous to count. Levy's eyes widened with fear, quickly forming words as Lucy tried to stop as many of the attacks as she could with her golden fireworks. Levy luckily managed to form her word just in time. "Bullet!" From the word that appeared midair, a similar fusillade of energy-bullets appeared, exploding upon contact with the attacks. Cana and Virgo took advantage of the situation and rushed Juvia, managing to slightly distract the girl. However, Juvia let one of Virgo's attacks phase through her before sending the pink-haired spirit flying off the robot with a highly pressured blast of water, turning to the helpless Cana.
"Water Geyser!"
A large tower of water exploded from Cana's feet, the water there congregating before said attack. Cana hollered in pain as water slammed into her, throwing her into the air before she landed on the ground with a thud, her shoulder cracking at the violent impact. Levy's eyes widened.
"Cana!"
Lucy growled, closing Virgo's gate as the spirit would be unable to return in time, and instead placed a different key in the pool beneath her feet.
"Open Gate of The Water Bearer, Aquarius!"
The pool erupted upwards, and Aquarius appeared, a furious look on her lovely face. "Lucy…explain to me why I was summoned in someone else's water…"
Lucy paled at the sheer rage she heard in Aquarius' voice but spoke nonetheless. "We're in dire need to defeat her. Or the guild might be destroyed!"
Aquarius snorted. "Why should I care?"
Lucy frowned, losing her already short temper on the spirit. "Listen here Aquarius! I know we haven't always been on the best of terms, and I'm sorry for disrespecting you but I need you now! We need your help to defeat her! She's already caused the guild harm! I won't stand by and let anyone else get hurt, so help me out or get out of my way!"
Aquarius' eyes widened at the outburst, a small smirk forming on her face before she snuffed it out, to quickly for Lucy to see.
She couldn't have the blonde knowing that that stunt actually got her some respect could she?
"Watch who you're talking to brat," Aquarius muttered, water swirling around her. Juvia watched the spirit with mild fascination, water surging around her body.
"Juvia cannot be defeated by that mermaid," Juvia stated. "Juvia is more powerful."
Aquarius' eyes twitched at the insinuation that she was weak. "What do you just say…you bitch?"
Juvia blinked. "Juvia is more powerful than you."
Aquarius let her water explode towards Juvia, slamming into the girl and pummeling her into the ground. Juvia tried to fight back, yet she was easily outmatched by the power of the spirit. Aquarius was easily capable of defeating the S-rank mage as she was. Juvia's magic power spiked as she grew angry, managing to gain some ground and rise, her water swirling into the form of an octopus and lashing out angrily at the water Aquarius controlled, yet Aquarius snorted.
"Don't ever call yourself more powerful than me!"
Raising her arms high above her head and crossing them in a somewhat sensual pose, Aquarius closed her eyes, causing blue magic to radiate around her. Her skin shined at that moment, highlighting her rather curvaceous figure, before water surged around her, forming a large drill that speared directly through Juvia's creation and the girl. Juvia groaned, slamming into a wall, her body in a constant state of pain from the attack.
"Cana, it's now or never!"
Cana rose, her body weak yet she drew her cards and performed her spell. "Thunderbolt's Fate!" The powerful blast of electricity rocketed through the air, impacting against Juvia's body violently. Juvia tried to cry out, yet the electricity coursing through her body didn't let her, and she shuddered to the ground, defeated.
Lucy smiled at Cana before turning to Aquarius. "Thank you Aquarius. I owe you." The spirit snorted. "Just don't summon me in someone's water next time. And get a boyfriend…as if any guy would like you anyways."
Lucy growled. "I can to get a boyfriend!"
"Whatever helps you sleep at night."
With that Aquarius disappeared, returning to the Celestial Spirit World.
XxX
Mirajane gurgled up blood as her defeated for was held up by the neck. Jose smiled, gripping her neck, his empty, midnight black eyes looking through her very soul. "Were you expecting anything less Ms. Strauss? While it is impressive you got your powers back…for you to still be so new with them and try and challenge me by yourself was idiotic. You are a mere demon…I am the Devil."
Mirajane groaned, her Satan Soul transformation fading to reveal her in a tattered and torn barmaid outfit. Black undergarments could vaguely be seen underneath her clothing due to how destroyed it was. Jose smirked, eyeing her form with envy. "You know…a man like myself could make you feel wonderful things…"
Jose reached forwards, his hand a part of her clothing, yet he was suddenly sent flying backwards, a blast of light slamming him into the wall. Jose growled.
"Who has the balls?"
"If you're the Devil than I am a God. And I judge you guilty."
Jose growled upwards at Naruto, black winds surging around him violently as he held Mirajane in his arms. The winds were so powerful they were shredding the very room the trio were in, despite the wind not actually touching anything.
Jose snarled, his black eyes growing darker as a black magical aura surged around the room. "Come boy…show me what you can do?"
A golden magical aura responded in turn. "With pleasure," Naruto stated, sitting Mirajane down.
Jose raised his hand, a globe of darkness swirling in it. "Die boy! Dead Wave!"
A surge of black and purple exploded from Jose's hand, racing towards Naruto, destroying the very ground their battle was taking place on. Naruto's eyes narrowed, his body tensing. A bright golden glow erupted from him before he moved, easily dodging the strike, his eyes narrowing as he looked at Jose, releasing several spheres of energy from his hands towards the Wizard Saint.
"Meteor Shower!"
Jose snorted at the attack, letting his magic rupture off of his body, negating the attack before his hands glower with a dark energy. "Shade Troopers!"
He raised his hands and from them a large amount of shade troopers raged forwards, rushing Naruto, hands outreached.
Naruto frowned, the glow intensifying as he weaved between the numberless enemies, reaching Jose. Yet the Wizard Saint had expected that, a blast of magic already prepared.
The powerful energy blast struck Naruto square in the chest, causing him to explode in a shower of golden energy. Jose raised an eyebrow. He suddenly turned, grabbing a kunai that was flung at him from behind before preparing to toss it back. Yet suddenly Naruto was next to him, Rasengan in hand.
"Odama Rasengan!"
Jose whistled as the attack sailed towards his body before he erupted into a vaguely octopus-shaped monstrosity that easily its tentacles around Naruto's hand. Naruto's eyes widened at the move. The octopus thing flung him towards a wall, turning back into Jose as Naruto's body slammed into the wall. Jose smirked, raising a hand.
"Dark Pulse!"
Swiping his hand an eruption of energy through the floor, sending Naruto flying through the air. Jose smirked, the shades rushing Naruto and slashing him viciously. Naruto's eyes glowed with power, an angry look on his face as blades of wind exploded from his body.
"Grand Chariot!"
The asterism of the Big Dipper formed in the sky before several beams of light shot from the magic seals in the sky, forming the same pattern on the floor. Jose raised an eyebrow as they exploded, shredding the walls and ceiling of the robot's head to pieces.
Naruto watched idly, flying in the sky. As the dust cleared Jose stood there, his army of shades at his side.
"Go."
The shades rushed forwards, causing Naruto to frown.
"Energy-Make: Shadow Clone!"
In the sky, several versions of Naruto formed, each glowing with a particular brand of energy. The shades engaged the clones, causing Naruto to smirk. Jose snorted. "Is that the best you can do? Delay the inevitable?"
Naruto snarled, his body glowing with a shining, bright, blue light. "I'll show you what I can do! Energy-Make:..."
Naruto grasped a Thunder God Kunai, raising it above his head.
"Getsuga…TENSHO!"
Swinging his blade downwards an arc of spiraling blue energy shot forwards like a crescent moon, causing Jose to raise his eyebrows. He swiped his hand in front of him, forming a protective barrier of darkness magic. Yet the power of the attack still sent him flying away. Jose flipped in midair, forming a blast of magic in his hand. "Dead Wave!"
Firing off the blast of dark energy caused Naruto to frown. "I'll show you what I can really do then with my magic…Energy-Make:…"
Naruto cupped his hands to his sides, "Ka…me…"
Jose's eyes narrowed as his attack neared the boy. He had heard of this attack, as of the one most recently used against him. They were on two separate famous shows. Jose snorted. The boy was using gimmicks from shows to fight.
"Ha…me…"
The pulse had nearly reached Naruto.
Yet Naruto thrust his arms forward, his hands opening and releasing an explosion of blue energy that surged forwards, completely eradicating the approaching attack. The roar of the attack muted out Naruto's cry of, "HA!"
Jose's eyes widened as the wave of blue energy rushed towards him, a black arrow forming in front of him. The arrow pointed upwards. The wave of torrential energy collided against the arrow, which gave off a brief pink glow before the wave was directed upwards, quickly sent out of sight.
Naruto couldn't believe his eyes.
One of his most powerful attacks was stopped cold, by a mere arrow.
Jose snorted, several black arrows growing off of his back, whipping around like snakes. Naruto could barely see one injecting itself into Jose's body.
"Vector Magic," Naruto snorted, a glare on his face. Jose merely smiled, changing the direction of the arrow in front of him. It pointed towards Naruto and Jose stepped into it. The man simply disappeared, an audible boom accompanying his movements as a shockwave rolled outwards, sending clouds flying and the mages fighting on the ground far away flying.
Naruto only had time to widen his eyes before he felt a punch impact with his gut, blood flying from his mouth as he was sent flying. Groaning Naruto managed to halt his motion, yet he recovered only in time to see Jose smiling at him, an arrow above Naruto's head as the man raised his fist.
"Fall."
Jose shot his fist down, and the Vector Magic only amplified it, causing Jose's fist to collide with Naruto's head with the force of a magical cannon. Naruto saw stars and a deep, corroding blackness as his skull cracked, a painful noise wracking his ears as he careened into the waters below him. Jose snorted.
"And they called you a Wizard Saint. Only Makarov is of the caliber to fight me…and is his out of commission."
Jose actually began to laugh. "Maybe if Sasuke Uchiha was here to assist you, you would be a challenge. Yet with one of the dynamic duo being blind, the other is hampered. Makarov is out of commission. Your ace is not here. Face it, you've got to admit defeat! I'm a genius! I planned it so that you would all fall before my almighty power!"
An explosion of water surged into the air as Naruto reappeared, magic coating his body. "Almighty power?" Naruto questioned, a confident grin on his face despite being on the losing end of the battle. "If you were truly almighty you wouldn't need any of this strategy to beat us."
Jose's eyes narrowed and his magic spiked as rage filled his body. "You pathetic, insolent, little, boy. You will regret ever saying those words to a god such as myself."
With that the arrows on Jose's back moved, shooting forwards at near impossible speeds. Naruto's eyes widened, a surge of magic shrouding his body, expanding outwards to form a powerful construct. "Energy-Make: Ultimate Defense: Shukaku's Shield!"
The powerful construct of energy rose, forming a toy-like replica of Shukaku that sported a wide-brimmed rural hat. The vector arrows slammed into the creation, yet nothing happened. Jose frowned, an annoyed look on his face.
"I've never seen energy that lacks vectors before." Naruto smirked. "It only applies to my shield-like constructs, but I can stop them from moving at all if I supply enough magic power. Effectively it negates the fearsome power of Vector Magic."
Jose snorted, his vectors giving off a deep pink glow as his Shade Magic surrounded them, cutting the defense to ribbons. Naruto's eyes widened. "Unison Raid: Vector Shade Blade!"
Naruto cursed, retreating immediately as the vectors rushed forwards, moving even faster than before. As he retreated he felt something grab his arm, causing his eyes to widen. "What the?"
Turning he saw a large creature formed of darkness, grabbing his arm. "Shade Troopers: Jellyfish Form!" Jose roared.
The creature was a blob of Shade Magic, formed from numerous Shade Troopers. The blob had eight arms, all of which were swirling around it, a lone arm grabbing Naruto's arm. Naruto's eyes widened as seven fists flew towards his face, each fist nearly thrice his size.
Naruto threw a Thunder God Kunai, teleporting away at the last second, his eyes wide. "Okay then," he muttered. "Energy-Make: Gomu Gomu no Elephant Gun!"
The large blob launched a fist as a tendril of magic exploded from Naruto's back. The tendril formed a massive fist that was a least five times Naruto's own size. Naruto smirked, the tendril cocking backwards in preparation to strike. As the blob's punch sailed forwards Naruto let loose, colliding with the fist and smashing it to pieces. The blob roared, yet more fists exploded from Naruto's back, causing him to smirk.
"Energy-Make: Gomu Gomu no Elephant Gatling!"
Several fists flew from Naruto, each five times his size as they collided with the blob, smashing it to pieces. Jose's eyes widened, launching his vector arrows yet Naruto responded with sending the hailstorm of fists towards Jose. The vectors redirected the blows however Naruto managed to regain control of them quickly enough to continue to send them flying towards the vectors, effectively negating their advancement. With each collision of vector arrow and fist let loose a terrifying shockwave that caused the ocean below to send massive waves flying into the air, which were quickly obliterated by a following shockwave.
Jose frowned at the lack of progression, channeling his magic. Naruto's eyes narrowed, and he quickly began writing in the air, increasing the speed of his attacks simultaneously to stop Jose from noticing his movements.
"Dark Ericture: Reflect."
Naruto smirked as he touched the runes to himself, smiling as they surged onto his energy fists. As he launched his next wave of punches the fists were not stopped, and instead smashed into Jose. Jose's eyes widened as he was sent flying, several broken bones in his body. Naruto smirked, the fists disappearing in wisps.
"How?"
Naruto raised an eyebrow, cupping his ear. "What was that? I'm afraid I didn't hear you over the sound of my own awesome."
Jose snarled. "How did you get passed my Vector Magic boy?"
Naruto smirked. "Oh that? It was easy really. I also have a magic that allows me to control vectors, although not nearly as profound as your own. I can reflect incoming vectors…thus my fists reflected your vectors. Of course you're still better than me at vector manipulation, and they were opposing vectors. Those two combined, plus the fact that both vectors were trying to overpower one another negated them both. With mere arrows left to stop them…well…you know the rest."
Jose looked at Naruto, a mixture of hate and respect in his eyes before his magic aura spiked, forming a large construct of darkness and violent magical energy.
"Child…you shall pay for your transgressions."
Naruto snorted, throwing a Thunder God Kunai and drawing another, a Rasengan already formed in one hand. "As if," Naruto stated, throwing the other Thunder God Kunai in a completely different direction.
Naruto suddenly began to write on himself, his eyes glowing with unrestrained power.
"Dark Ericture: Speed, Strength, Durability, Flexibility!"
The runes settled themselves neatly onto Naruto's clothing, causing Jose's eyes to widen as Naruto shot off, much faster than the man was expecting. Naruto smirked, writing on his Rasengan as he flew.
"Unison Raid: Lightning Rasengan!"
Jose raised an eyebrow, blocking the Rasegan. Naruto smirked, teleporting away instantly. Jose raised an eyebrow, his construct of shadows missing its target as its fist hit empty air.
"I saw no lightning."
Naruto smirked. "Target lock. Fire."
A bolt of lightning rushed downwards, striking Jose as a clap of thunder roared throughout the heavens. Naruto smirked, a superior look on his face. "Handcuffed lightning, thrown thunder in jail," Naruto muttered.
Jose raised his head, his body twitching as he tried to recover from the volts of electricity rushing through his body. Naruto was prepared though and moved, reaching Jose before the man could defend himself due to teleportation. "Dark Ericture: Immobilization."
Tapping his hand on Jose's arms he smiled as he saw the formula immediately get to work. Jose's arms fell limp at his sides, unmoving, even though the electricity and his own attempts to move should have easily made them.
Naruto smirked, writing another formula and lathering it on the air in front of him. "Dark Ericture: Chamber of Gravity!"
The rune exploded, forming a chamber around the duo. Immediately gravity increased, causing both to fall, landing on the barrier of the rune. Naruto groaned, writing despite his pain.
"Dark Ericture: Immune."
Naruto touched himself, a smile coming to his face as he stood, flying once more. Jose growled at Naruto, his defeated form releasing an ominous feel despite the position he was in. "I told you Jose," Naruto stated, "I am a God…and I deem the Devil guilty."
Jose snarled, his eyes glowing a murderous red as his magic violently radiated around him. "You don't make the rules," Jose muttered, his magical aura exploding off of him in malevolent waves. Naruto groaned, being pushed back by the unnatural power. Jose roared, a red magical aura exploding off him like a supernova, obliterating the "rules" Naruto's world had created.
"You'll never make the rules."
Naruto's eyes widened as he saw an ominous figure glare out at him from the shadows, the powerful magical aura pulsating wildly.
He had awoken the Devil.
'The Devil' Jose Porla.
Ok yup. There's no excuse. I have been gone for WAY to long. How do I know? Because the last update was November. I'm gonna have to start picking up my pace. I've just really felt unmotivated for a while. No excuse though. Luckily school is over, meaning I should be able to get more time in. Every story is getting an update soon because of how ashamed I feel. Anyways, yes, I made this chapter amazing (I think), and the battle between Jose and Naruto is an intense one. Frankly speaking, due to Laxus not being there, Gildarts being AWOL, and Sasuke being blind Naruto is the person I was always planning on making Jose fight. I mean, originally Sasuke didn't go blind and the duo were going to tag-team him, but still. I think this is more interesting. Sasuke will get his moment to shine later. This is Naruto's arc damn it! I also hope you all enjoyed the little references in Naruto's Energy-Make. I've been wondering what his gimmick for that would be, because that was the original idea. Now I have one. And I sincerely hope you all got the reference to the GOAT, Muhammad Ali. You will be missed man.
Yes I do know about the lack of Gray in the Juvia fight. You're all wondering about Gruvia. Don't worry. It's cool. More so, I'm not even going to bother trying to defend myself for any grammatical errors. I will say I tried my best, but I'm bound to miss a lot with a chapter this large. I apologize sincerely for any. If you find any PLEASE let me know. It truly does help.
Moving onto the manga, because I wanna do it purely because of the most recent chapter.
...WHAT THE FUCK HIRO? I'M ALL FOR MAKING DARK CHAPTERS BUT SERIOUSLY DUDE WHAT THE HELL? IF I WAS GONNA KILL ANYONE OFF IT WOULDN'T BE HIM! MAYBE BECAUSE HE'S MY FAVORITE CHARACTER BUT STILL DAMN IT!
