Yujiro can be seen walking on a beach. He had blue trunks with a green and orange tropical pattern depicting palm trees and the sun. His legs seemed to strain them with his full muscles. On his torso he wore a shirt similar to his typical one, only this one was a dark navy blue. Otherwise, it had the same rolled up sleeves.
He wore red oval sunglasses and a normal looking fitted cap as well. His rippling arm muscles caught plenty of attention as he strolled, hands in pockets, but due to his non typical dress, the other beach goers didn't immediately recognize him.
Yujiro decided to get some ice cream. He towered over the other patrons, but surprisingly he resolved to stand in line like an ordinary customer, although unsurprisingly, many decided to leave the line anyway when in close vicinity to him. Rather quickly he ended up in the front of the line and ordered a swirl of vanilla with a swirl of mint on top. "That'll be 200 yen", said the cashier. The aura around Yujiro became menacing as he lifted his hand out of his pocket revealing a fist. The cashier's heart sank and he began to sweat. "A-actually s-s-sir I t-think we can um…" The cashier audibly gulped.
"Here," Yujiro said. He lowered his fist and dropped two hundred-yen coins into the cashier's hand. Contact with Yujiro's hand sent a chill down the cashier's spine, prompting him to thank Yujiro profusely and hurry out his order. Now clad with ice cream, Yujiro continued his stroll. Watching him walk away, the cashier declared "I quit". Eventually finding an empty beach chair and sitting in it, Yujiro began to relax. It wasn't his, but the owner never challenged him for it, instead deciding to go home.
"It's a beautiful day out," Yujiro said to himself, putting his sunglasses to the side.
After finishing his ice cream, Yujiro silently sat down in the sand and began working on something. His hands were delicate and deliberate. It soon became clear that he was working on a sand castle. It was no ordinary castle either. It had extremely beautiful curves and perfect edges. It resembled the style of the typical traditional Japanese style castles from the Edo period.
Many castles from the Edo period were actually rebuilt from the Sengeku period. The earlier castles were meant to be fortresses. However they were still primarily built of wood and stone so many were eventually destroyed by natural wear and tear. However, during the Edo period many were rebuilt and fortified to become stronger.
Somehow, the sand castle Yujiro was making seemed to represent a fortress that had never been weak to begin with. In fact, though unfinished, it gave off the aura of a fortress with no weaknesses at all, fitting for the strongest creature on earth.
Yujiro got up to take a brief drink of water and then continued working. Suddenly a small group of teenagers approached him. "Are you serious, old man?" Said the one in front wearing a red shirt. "Only little kids make sandcastles." The other three in the group began to laugh and taunt Yujiro. He ignored, remaining diligent in his work. "What, are you deaf? He must be senile." Continued the teenager. "Maybe he's too weak to stand", mocked another one in a blue sweater and hat. Yujiro was smoothing out the sides of his sand castle fortress.
Suddenly one of them kicked the top of his castle clean off, leaving an odd diagonal break and a gaping hole in the middle. "Maybe this will get him to stop being such a baby", Mocked the teen in a red shirt. When the teen looked up he saw Yujiro standing over him. The teenager's demeanor changed. A couple were sweating bullets. The one in the red shirt wanted to run but he knew Yujiro would catch him. They were all frozen stiff.
Yujiro smiled and the teens began to buckle. "You", said Yujiro to the red shirt teen.
"You may think you know what it is to be strong, but you have no authority to speak on real strength."
Yujiro began to laugh. His face twisted in a comical sense. "Do you want to fight me?" ,he asked.
The boy was too terrified to answer.
"Hey. Brats," he said, addressing the four of them.
"If you can't stand up to my challenge, then you have no right to bother me. I will teach you how to respect the strong."
Later on, Baki arrives at the beach his father told him about. He figured he'd meet him there. When he got there there was a large crowd surrounding something, murmuring and watching in awe. Baki decided to go see what the fuss was about while waiting for his father, Yujiro.
Pushing through the crowd, he eventually see's what the ruckus is about. His father, Yujiro, is seen reclining in a beach chair drinking a smoothie while three teenagers are frantically building him a large and impressive sand castle. Another teen in a red shirt is massaging Yujiro's feet. The sand castle is remarkably in a similar style to that of the Edo period fortresses. Not a detail is missed.
"Is there anything else you need, sir?" Said the red shirt teen to Yujiro, clearly suppressing panic.
"No, I'm fine," replied Yujiro.
"Really dad?" asked Baki. Yujiro turned his head to his son, "Enough already." He remarked, beginning to slightly sweat in his presence.
Yujiro smiled. "What? Isn't it great?", he asked Baki.
Baki places his face in his palm disapprovingly.
I should have stayed home, Baki thought.
