Harry and Merope and the Mystery of Forks

Disclaimer: I, sadly, do not own any of these characters, only the plots and situations that you do not recognize.

A/N: Also, I realized after I wrote it that it could be construed that I got the ring idea from Vampire Diaries, but I was really only thinking of the easiest piece of jewelry that both genders would wear. Also, I watched the first couple seasons of VD so many years ago that they were not even part of my thought process when I was considering charmed jewelry.

Chapter 6

The second day of school shined brightly as Harry and Merope struggled to wake up, thanking Merlin that they lived so close to the school and didn't have to rush about getting ready. It had taken them longer than anticipated to sort through all the jewelry and choose the most appropriate ones to use, but they had finally finished them at about midnight.

Harry rolled himself out of bed, stretching all the kinks out as he stood up and made his way to the bathroom for a quick shower, meanwhile, Merope made her way downstairs to start boiling the water for tea the muggle way, planning to add a bit of Pepper-Up before drinking it. After having accomplished her goal, she returned upstairs to surprise Harry in the shower to, you know, help preserve the water for the environment and all.

After breakfast, there was still at least an hour before it would be the time that the two of them needed to leave for school, so Harry decided he would go ahead and pop over to the Cullens' to give them the charmed jewelry before everyone left for school, or work in Carlise's case. Merope opted to stay home to tend to and tweak the illusions for their siblings' departure to Seattle for school.

He arrived at the Cullen property just a few minutes before they needed to head to their cars in order for them to arrive at their respective locations on time.

"Harry, we weren't expecting to see you so soon. Is everything all right?" Esme asked.

"Oh, everything is perfectly fine, it's just that Merope and I went ahead and made you all a set of charmed rings for you to wear with your current appearances, and I wanted to go ahead and bring them to you." Harry answered cheerfully.

Alice jumped up and down, clapping her hands together excitedly, "Oh, goody! I can't wait to see what they do."

Smiling, Harry pulled the charmed rings out of his temporarily expanded pocket and started passing them out to their new prospective owners. "Now," said Harry, "I thought it safer to just make a ring for everyone. When we get around to making you additional charmed jewelry, we'll bring the lot over here so that you can choose the pieces that you like the most, then we'll go about setting the charms on those to include hair and eye colors, should you like."

"Oh, we could have provided you with the jewelry to charm, you didn't need to buy special rings for us," Esme said, as she admired the ring she held in her hand.

"I didn't buy these, Mrs. Cullen," said Harry.

"Please call me Esme, dear, as I'm sure we're to be friends for a great many years," said Esme.

"And you can call me Carlisle," added Carlisle with a smile.

"Of course, thank you," said Harry. Then he began explaining the rings, "As I was saying, I didn't buy this jewelry, I inherited it in my original world and brought it with me when I left. Don't feel bad, I have hundreds more pieces." Harry gauged everyone's response before he continued, "Now, the reason I used these instead of asking you to buy your own for me to charm, is because these rings are goblin-made, which make them more capable of holding the charms needed."

When everyone nodded in understanding, Harry continued, "Now, seeing how strong you all are, if they were ordinary rings, you could easily crush them without trying. The fact that they are goblin-made makes it more difficult for you to crush them, as they are magically reinforced; however, I've also added an indestructible charm on them. I believe you could even bite them and your venom would not destroy them, as goblin-made items will absorb it and make it stronger, though it could cause it to become poisonous to someone else that touches it with an open wound."

Seeing everyone stare at him in disbelief, Harry shrugged and said, "Okay. So I once used a goblin-made sword to kill a basilisk when I was 12 years old. If you don't know what a basilisk is, it's basically a poisonous snake that can kill you if you look it in the eye, like Medusa. This basilisk was huge, in the range of 60 feet long. Basilisk venom is poisonous, and since I stabbed it in the mouth, its venom was absorbed into the blade, rather than destroying it, resulting in even the slightest cut made by that sword to poison the person who was cut by it. The only cure would have been phoenix tears, which are extremely rare."

After a few attempts at speech, Carlisle broke the silence saying, "I would love to hear a bit more about your history, it seems you've led an adventurous life." Then he looked at his watch and saw that he only had a couple more minutes before he needed to leave and said, "I don't want to rush you, but I need to leave for the hospital soon and would appreciate it if you could finish giving us a rundown of the features for these charmed rings."

Harry cleared his throat and said, "Right. So these are just the basic ones, they're indestructible, complete with a warming charm that will automatically adjust your to an appropriate body temperature, will shield you from the effects of the sunshine, so no more sparkling skin," Harry said with a smile, "And we've added charms on them that will prevent anyone from noticing the ring on your hands, unless a person already knows it's there." Harry thought for a moment and added, "Oh, yes, it also gives the illusion of you physically aging on the year anniversary of when you started to wear them. Once you take them off, that particular feature will reset to zero, so don't take them off to wash your hands or shower."

"Wow, all of that?" Emmett asked.

"Just a couple more features," said Harry. "The rings will automatically adjust to the size of your finger, so you shouldn't have any problems with them slipping off. Lastly, I've added a scent blocker, so that other predator species or whatever won't be able to smell you. I didn't do it for any particular reason, other than I thought it might come in handy, and if there's anything I've learned after all my years, it's to go with my instincts. You'll still be able to smell each other, because the rings are sort of linked to the others in a way, but no one else will be able to smell you, except for whatever perfume or cologne you choose to wear."

After many expressions of thanks, the Cullens/Hales all put on their rings and were amazed at the difference in temperature that had taken an immediate effect. Shortly thereafter, the Cullens/Hales were loaded in up their cars to head to either school or work and Harry had said goodbye to Esme and popped back home to Merope.

Nothing exciting happened at school on their second day. Harry managed to not earn another detention. Harry and Merope ate lunch with the Cullens/Hales, under the same charms as their first day, so that they could all talk freely.

Harry and Merope did make an attempt to hang out with Mike and his other friends a couple of times for lunch, but ended up giving up and returning to lunch with the Cullens/Hales after Jessica humiliated herself further by trying to flirt with Harry and give Merope dirty looks every time she thought Harry wasn't watching her.

Lunch with the Cullens/Hales was always interesting, especially after either Harry and Merope would cast their special spells, which meant no one in the room was interested in anything that was going on at their table.

The topic of food had come up and the group was in deep discussion about whether or not Harry's and Merope's magical books would have a solution. Merope had been the one to point out that it would only be a matter of time before someone started watching the Cullens and Hales closely enough to take notice of the fact that they only picked at the food and never ate, which caused Harry to mention something about blood-flavoured lollipops that he once saw sold in the Wizarding World. That then opened the door about what other culinary options their world had for vampires and if there was anything mentioned in any of their books.

Until Harry and Merope had a chance to study and look through the books they had with them, Harry suggested that he could just charm something, like a tooth or that could be hidden in the mouth, that would automatically vanish any food and yet give the appearance that they are actually eating.

Merope then suggested that perhaps if they're able to accomplish that, they might spend further time actually developing something that could be placed on the food to actually make food nutritious for the vampires, eliminating the need for hunting at all, unless they really enjoyed the thrill of it and all, as was likely the case with Emmett.

Rosalie was all for anything that helped them appear to be more normal, the rest of the family were just curious to see if it was actually something that could be accomplished.

Friday found Harry and Mike discussing plans to meet up as a group the next day to drive over to First Beach at La Push, while Merope stood nearby with a group of kids from one of her classes.

Originally, Merope was going to go with them, too, but when she realized that this was the place where the Cullens/Hales were forbidden to go by treaty, Merope decided she would spend that day with them, who were more than excited to explore hers and Harry's cache of magical books. The fact that Jessica was likely to be going to La Push was also a good enough reason for her to decide to not go as well.

"So, are you still planning to come with us to La Push on Friday?" Mike asked excitedly. "There's only a few more weekends left that the weather is going to be tolerable enough to enjoy the weather. It's supposed to be really sunny, too, in the 70s."

"Yeah, sure. I said I would go. Merope decided she was going to pass this time around, though," responded Harry with a shrug. "She's already made plans to spend the day with the Cullens."

"You're not worried she'll want to leave you for Edward?" Mike asked confusedly. "I sure would be," he added quietly.

"No," said Harry shaking his head with a short laugh. "We've made fast friends with them and she enjoys spending time with Alice, but we do really like all of them. They're great once you get to know them."

Mike shook his head and said, "I'll have to take your word for it. They've been here for a least two years and have always kept to themselves. How is it that the two of you were able to impress them enough for them to allow you into their circle?"

Harry laughed and said, "Oh, magic, I guess."

Mike laughed in response and shook his head, "Yeah, ha ha! I'm sure."

"All right. Well, I'm sure you all plan to meet up at Newton's Olympic Outfitters to carpool, but I'm not sure if I'll decide to stay more or less time than the rest of you, so I'm going to just drive myself down to La Push and meet everyone there." Harry said. He was thinking he would also do some investigating into the werewolves that the Cullens claimed were part of the local tribe. Maybe he'd explore along some of the trails, too.

"Yeah, if you're sure," said Mike. "We're going to meet up at the Outfitters around nine o'clock in the morning."

"All right." Harry said with a nod. "I'll plan to meet you all down there by around nine-thirty to ten, then."

"Sounds like a plan, dude," said Mike, offering his hand to Harry for a handshake, to which Harry responded by shaking his hand. "We'll see you at the beach tomorrow." Then Mike headed off to his car, leaving Harry to wander over to Merope, wrapping his arm around her waist, while she wrapped up the conversation with her classmates.

The walk home from school was uneventful for Harry and Merope. The neighbors smiled and waved, but didn't attempt to approach them. The police chief, Charlie Swan, could be seen driving down the road towards the nearby diner that he tended to eat at more times than not.

The word around school was that Chief Swan had a daughter, Isabella, who currently lived in Phoenix, Arizona with her mother. Isabella's mother had recently gotten married and wanted to travel with her new husband, so there were plans being made for the 17-year-old to move in with her dad here in Forks.

Edward claimed to have "overheard" that there had been bets being made amongst the other students that she wouldn't be able to cope with such a drastic change in the weather. He also informed that the other male students were fantasizing about fresh meat, and the female students were more or less bristling about the additional competition.

Though he had yet to say anything to Merope about it, Harry had the feeling that this Isabella's impending arrival was what was causing his instincts to flare a bit. Not that her arrival would be a bad thing, but he just had a feeling that there was something about this girl that was going to be important. If only he could figure out what.

Meanwhile, they had arrived home while Harry was a little lost in his thoughts. Merope noticed he had been quiet, but figured it would probably tell her what was bothering him after he had worked it all out in his head first.

After going inside the house and changing into something comfortable, they spread out their respective homework assignments and got started on them. Merope had an English essay to write on Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice, while it looked like Harry just had some studying to do for Biology II.

Harry thought it was interesting having homework again, though he found himself drifting again and he tried to decipher the feelings he was having. He wouldn't go so far as to say he was a Seer, but there had been enough times in his past where he just instinctively knew that something big was getting ready to happen, even before the Hallows, that he could admit to himself that maybe he had a little bit of talent in that area that he should try to develop.

That then let do the thoughts about Alice's problems with her visions and what he could possibly do to help bring them back to her. Edward was able to read his mind after he adjusted his occlumency shields, but for some reason, Harry didn't believe that that would help with Alice's inability to See, now that he and Merope were here.

He signed and put down his homework when he realized that he had been staring at the page for ten minutes without absorbing any of it.

When Merope noticed Harry starting to fidget, she placed her pencil down on the table in front of her and said, "Okay. Out with it."

Harry looked over and said, "Sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you."

Rolling her eyes, Merope said, "Harry, I can tell that something is bothering you, so just tell me about it and get it off your chest."

Harry shook his head and said, "I just keep having the feeling that something is going to happen, I'm just not sure if it's going to be good or bad."

Merope furrowed her eyebrows in thought and asked, "Can you not elaborate more than that?"

Shrugging, Harry said, "No, not really. I do know that I'm starting to regret never trying to become an animagus though, I'm having the feeling that ability may become an important skill to have."

Blinking in mild shock, Merope said, "That seems to be a strange reason to suddenly try to become an animagus after more than 200 years of no interest in it. Is there a particular animal you think you'll become?"

"Yeah, don't I know it," Harry laughed ruefully. "I know this is going to sound cliche, but I suspect I'll become a phoenix."

Merope nodded and said, "Yeah, well, with you being Master of Death, that seems to be a likely possibility, but what if you are actually an animal associated with death, like a Grim or Thestral?"

"I hadn't thought that far, to be honest," said Harry.

"Well, did you at least pay attention when Padfoot was training Talon?" Merope asked curiously.

"Well, yes," said Harry. "But I'm not sure we have the ingredients we need for the beginning stages, and I highly doubt we'll find the ingredients in this world."

"Yes, that's true," nodded Merope. "But do I need to remind you that we can travel worlds and dimensions at will, so you can go back to our Edward's world and purchase some ingredients, and then come back here."

Harry smiled and said, "I did not forget that. Thank you." He picked his pencil up and rolled it back and forth in his fingers as he thought, then he added, "I was considering the length of time it would take and if we would be able to accomplish it before whatever has been causing these feelings actually happens."

"Does our Room of Requirement not have a time compression option?" Merope asked with a raised eyebrow in amusement. "Can you not simply pop over to the Wizarding World, stay however long you need to in order to get the ingredients, rest if you need to, and then simply pop back here a few moments after you left?"

"I had not considered doing this under time compression, as I'm not sure how that would work with the Mandrake leaf, as it's to be kept in the mouth from full moon to full moon." Harry responded. "Would it work under a false full moon under the time compression?" he asked a brief moment after.

"Hmm. You may be right." Merope said thoughtfully. She chewed on her bottom lip as she thought. Then she looked up after a couple of minutes and asked, "What if you stay in the Wizarding World for the length of time it would take you to become an animagus?"

"But what about you?" Harry asked incredulously.

"What about me?" Merope asked, brows furrowed in confusion.

"Don't you want to come with me?" Harry asked with a frown.

Merope rolled her eyes and said, "I don't really feel the need to become an animagus. Besides, it's not as if you'll be gone very long, as you only need to make yourself arrive back about five minutes after you left."

"Yes, but I'll still be away from you for at least a month," said Harry with a frown. "I haven't been away from you for more than a day in many years."

Merope smiled at Harry fondly and said, "Well, if you want to become an animagus before tomorrow, that's what you are going to need to do and come to terms with. Why do you feel so strongly about becoming an animagus, specifically, becoming a phoenix animagus?"

"I have the feeling we're going to need phoenix tears in the near future. I can't tell you why, because I don't know, but we'll need those tears and they will have to be fresh. No tears could be fresher than straight from the phoenix's eye itself." Harry said, with a slightly faraway look in his eye.

"Then you need to make sure your backpack is still stocked with everything you're going to need, including your tent." Merope said, as she bit her lip. She was still a bit nervous, even knowing he won't be gone very long.

Harry smiled and leaned over to give her a kiss, which turned a little heated, and he said cheekily, "Well, you know, I could postpone my trip for an hour or so, so you can give me a proper send off."

Merope said a little breathlessly, "Perhaps, but I think I would rather wait until you're back, so you'll have a reason to leave and come back quickly."

Harry frowned and said, "That's still going to be too long without your company. Are you sure you won't come with me?"

Merope nodded, "Yes, I'm sure." Then she kissed him again and turned her attention back to her homework, while he double-checked his backpack and left with a silent pop.

Jasper heard Alice's surprised intake of breath, before she then sighed in disappointment. "What's wrong, darlin'?" he asked.

"Well, I was able to See flash of something before it was gone again," said Alice with a pout.

"Well, darlin', maybe Harry's just trying to experiment with his magic to try to allow your visions to come back." Jasper said soothingly.

Alice nodded and sighed, "I hope so, Jazz. I'm tired of feeling as if I'm blind."

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry:

At the exact moment that Harry arrived in stealth mode in the middle of the Great Hall at Hogwarts, saw a piece of paper shoot out of the Goblet of Fire, then heard Dumbledore shout, "HARRY POTTER!"

The hall went silent, but before the Harry of this world could more than sit in shock, Harry dropped his stealth mode and said, "Damn it, not this shit again." Then he looked over at Harry and said, "Give me just a moment and you and I are going to have a talk." Harry was in too much shock to move or even say anything.

Dumbledore stared at Harry in dumbfoundment and asked, "What is going on?"

Harry held out his hand and the Elder Wand flew to him, "I'll take that off your hands, thank you." Then it disappeared with a flash, much to everyone's disbelief. Dumbledore was speechless. Harry ignored him and turned his attention to the fake Moody and said, "Barty Crouch, Jr., come down here before I make you."

Crouch, Jr., realizing the game was up, cried out, "Forgive me, Master!" Before he threw a killing curse at Harry in his attempt to escape.

Harry rolled his eyes as he caught the spell in his hand, rolling it around in his fingers until it dissipated, and said, "I swear that's the only spell you idotic Death Eaters know."

Crouch, Jr., didn't know what else to do. He was frozen in fear. How had this person that looks like Potter been able to catch the killing curse barehanded and continue to live?

Harry looked at the student audience, who were all staring in awe, and said with a grin, "Don't try that at home, folks." Then he returned his attention to the fake Moody and he added, "Don't try this at home, either." Then he gestured with the flick of his finger, and Crouch, Jr., came flying towards him. Then Harry stopped him in midair and left him hovering there as he summoned the man's wand. He had considered snapping it, but thought it might be the real Moody's, so he pocketed it for now.

For the benefit of his audience, Harry spoke clearly, "I know what you thought to accomplish by entering Harry's name into the Goblet, but for some reason it summoned me instead. Pity for you that it was I that was in transit between worlds when the artifact spit out Harry's name."

Dumbledore interrupted, trying for a grandfatherly tone, "Young man, surely you are mistaken. This man is Alastor Moody, a retired auror and our Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. This Barty Crouch, Jr., you speak of has been dead for several years."

"You can cut the act, Dumbledore, you know just as well as I do that this is a Death Eater posing as your 'good friend' Mad-Eye Moody. The real Moody is currently in his office locked in his own trunk, while this waste of breath is masquerading as Mad-Eye by the use of polyjuice." Harry raised an eyebrow in challenge and added, "Or did you conveniently forget to renew the wards of the school that would prevent such a thing, so that you would have plausible deniability?"

The audience collectively gasped in surprise. Harry noticed Neville Longbottom's sudden glare at the man.

"Oh, and I see Crouch, Sr., is also up there at the table, but by the glazed look in his eyes, I'd say that he's now suffering from the same imperius curse that he had been subjecting his son to for the past several years after helping to break the scum out of Azkaban." Harry chuckled at the sound of gasps that he heard. Then, so that Crouch, Jr., couldn't make any attempts to control his father, Harry placed a binding spell on Crouch, Sr., so he would be unable to use his wand.

"Just so you all believe me, I'm going to leave the scum hanging here. None of you will be able to remove him, so I wouldn't bother trying." Then Harry turned to Harry and said, "You and I have some errands to run, while the Order of the Avians try to figure out what to do about me."

"Harry, I forbid you from going anywhere with this stranger," Dumbledore announced.

Noticing Harry's eyes starting to glaze over, Harry turned to Dumbledore and said, "I see you decided to feed him loyalty and compulsion potions this time around." Then he waved his hand and vanished it all from Harry's system, causing Harry to blink in confusion and a hush to come across the Great Hall.

"Don't try me, Dumbledore," Harry said firmly. "I have more power in my pinky toe than you have in your entire body, and I've taken back my wand."

"It's for the Greater Good -"

"You can shove your Greater Good up your arse." After everyone's gasp, Harry added, "I'm here to fix your screw-ups, since Fate saw fit to pull me here. And I guess I can get the supplies I was traveling to get from this world just as well as I could have from another, so I'll be here for a few weeks. You'll be lucky if you're not dead and buried by the time I'm gone."

"Is that a threat?" Dumbledore asked through gritted teeth.

Harry shook his head and said, "No, that's a promise."

Then Harry turned back to Harry and said, "Come on, kid. We're going to go find Padfoot and Moony, then I'm going to tell you what's been going on."

Harry looked at Harry and then back to Ron and Hermione and back to Harry again. Noticing this, Harry did a quick scan of Ron and Hermione and said, "Hermione is free to come, but that backstabbing thief and the rest of the Weasleys are forbidden to follow."

Ron's face turned red and yelled, "Who are you calling a backstabbing thief?"

Harry raised an eyebrow, "What else do you call someone whose sole job was to befriend the Boy-Who-Lived, so that the family could benefit by pretending to love him, so that he felt no qualms with giving your mother his trust vault key so that she could sneak extra money away while supposedly shopping for school supplies?

"What else do you call the family and supposed best friend, whose plans revolved around helping the 'Leader of the Light' keep the Boy-Who-Lived firmly on the side of the Light by spying on him and reporting every little thing to the benevolent Headmaster?

"What would you call someone who was planning to force feed love potions, so that he would fall in love with your sister, marry her, knock her up, and then kill him off so that you all could inherit the riches that you feel so entitled to?"

When each accusation was made, Ron's face got redder and redder.

The twins appeared to be getting angry, too, so angry that they forgot to use twin speak. One of them, Harry believed to be George, asked, "Who do you think you are to be throwing out the kinds of accusations that could ruin a good family's reputation?"

Harry noticed that his audience waited silently, some even holding their breath in an effort to not miss hearing anything. Oh, what the hell, he thought to himself. In for a sickle in for a galleon. "I am Hadrian James Potter, Master of Death," Harry said, infusing his words with power, vaguely amused as the widening of Dumbledore's eyes. "Survivor of the multitude of manipulations by one Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore and one Tom Marvolo Riddle, better known as Lord Voldemort or You-Know-Who or He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

"I could go on and on, but I hope you catch my drift. I've already lived through this and I've already read your minds and confirmed you are the same as the Weasleys from my original world."

Turning back to Harry, he said, "Harry, Hermione, let's go find Snuffles."

Suddenly, the doors to the Great Hall were slammed shut and Dumbledore began stalking down the aisle menacingly. "I'm afraid I cannot allow you to leave with my students." His eyes were glowing with power. Harry and Hermione had frozen in place in their fear.

Harry rolled his eyes in exasperation. "Oh, now you want to try to play protector? I don't think so." With a wave of his hand, shackles appeared from the floor, clamping around Dumbledore's wrists and ankles. Then, just like that, Dumbledore's power was cut off, causing him to draw in breath as if he had just finished running a marathon and was out of breath.

Harry silenced Dumbledore and briefly looked up at the head table where all the professors and distinguished guests were staring in open-mouthed shock at the display.

"I can't be sure that it's happened here the same way it's happened in other worlds I've visited or not, because I haven't been here long enough, but I suggest all of you get to St. Mungo's and get tested. The Dumbledores I have known, had a nasty habit of messing with people's minds, making sure you would never question his judgment and making you all believe that everything he did was right, all for his wonderful Greater Good.

"Now, I'm taking these two students with me. Where we go and what we do is none of your concern. Rest assured, they will be returned unharmed. We just need to run a few errands and take care of a certain Dark Lord that is trying to come back."

Ludovic Bagman, blinked in confusion and then said hastily, "But his name has been chosen by the Goblet of Fire, if he leaves before accepting his place as champion, he will lose his magic!" He didn't really know that, but he found the idea of the Boy-Who-Lived competing in this contest making him loads of galleons.

Harry said, "Stop being an idiot. Did you not hear me when I said that the stupid thing summoned me instead? He won't be competing. He didn't put his name in."

"But, but -" was all Bagman was able to get out before Harry summoned the Goblet to him and disintegrated it in his hand. "He will not be competing." Harry reiterated again.

"That was a priceless artifact!" someone screamed.

Harry shrugged and said, "I don't give a shit. Find a new way to choose champions that is not able to be confunded into choosing four champions for a tournament that is only meant for three champions." Shaking his head he said, "I swear, this world is full of too many idiots."

Then Harry turned to Harry and Hermione again and said, "Let's go, you two. Time's wasting." The two quickly jogged to get close enough to follow along behind him. With a flick of the wrist, the doors flew open and they walked through.

"Harry, do you have your invisibility cloak?" Harry asked. Harry shook his head in the negative. "All right. First things first, then. We're going to Gryffindor Tower to get it, but also to put wards on your trunk, so that only you can open it."

Harry just nodded silently, but Hermione, the ever curious one asked timidly, "Did Ron and his family really do that?"

Harry grimaced and nodded, "Yes, unfortunately. But fortunately for me, through some sort of lucky coincidence, I was able to escape the fate they planned for me. I was immune to the love potion, you see, after I became Master of Death, which is a long story."

"While I would be fascinated to hear your story, I'm confused as to why you asked me to come along." Hermione said with a confused frown.

Harry said, "You're Harry's true friend and had not yet begun a relationship with the Weasel." Upon noticing Hermione's widened eyes, Harry added, "Oh, yes. In my world, you had married Ron. I never did find out if you were a victim of love potions, by the time I had even considered it, it was far too late to investigate. But as to why you're here, Harry is going to need your support, now more than ever." Nodding to Harry, Hermione noticed he was looking a little depressed.

At Hermione's recognition of Harry's depression, she slipped her hand in his and gave it a supportive squeeze and said, "Don't worry, Harry, I'm your friend and I promise to help you get through this. Even if we never make other friends, we'll always have each other. I promise."

Harry squeezed her hand in return and gave her a grateful look.

After getting Harry's cloak, with Harry allowing it to retain it's normal powers rather than absorbing them, Harry showed them the way to the Room of Requirement, which brought forth tons of questions from Hermione, which Harry answered patiently.

Harry showed them how the room worked and opened the way that led to the Room of Lost Things, then right to where Ravenclaw's diadem was located. Noticing the vanishing cabinet, Harry went ahead and destroyed it beyond repair. One never knew if someday in the future another group of terrorists after the Death Eaters discovered a way to use it to invade the school.

Afterwards, Harry considered doing a summoning charm to collect all the valuables, but decided to make the suggestion to Harry and Hermione to keep the room a secret and clean it out during their spare time. He knew Harry did not need the money, but there was no use for all the stuff stored here to go to waste.

Upon leaving the RoR and the door disappearing, Harry sent a patronus to Sirius and Remus each, directing them to meet him at 12 Grimmauld Place in about 30 minutes.

— brief time skip —

Next, Harry took them to the Gaunt shack, instructing the two to remain silent and under the cloak while he popped inside to get the ring and back.

— brief time skip —

The reunion at Grimmauld Place was interesting. Harry checked for curses on Walburga's painting and to his shock, found one and removed it, leaving behind a much more docile and loving Walburga, to Sirius' immense shock and disbelief.

Harry called Kreacher and the story of the locket and Regulus Black was revealed, leaving Sirius extremely emotional at the loss of his brave and foolish younger brother.

— brief time skip —

Harry left Harry and Hermione at Grimmauld Place with Sirius and Remus as he left to retrieve Hufflepuff's cup, choosing to bypass the Goblin security and just take it.

— brief time skip —

Finally, all that was left to take care of was Voldemort and Nagini, oh, and of course, Harry. The parties Harry had chosen to involve were completely appalled when they were told that Harry was also one of the vile horcruxes, but deeply grateful that Harry was able to remove its taint with such ease.

Harry gave everyone the option to come with him to the graveyard, as he planned to deliver Voldemort straight to Hogwarts before destroying him in front of everyone. Dumbledore would need proof the idiot was gone after all. Plus, he was certain that the place would be crawling with the Minister of Magic and aurors by now, so he could show proof that Wormtail was still alive and that he was found in the presence of Voldemort. Although he expected Fudge to still be an idiot, he wouldn't be enough of an idiot to deny Sirius' innocence in front of so many witnesses.

Sirius was all set to go help capture the rat, but Remus, being the voice of reason, reminded him that he was still a wanted criminal with a "kiss on sight" order against him. Harry and Hermione also chose to remain behind and wait for Harry to capture Voldemort and Wormtail tail, and return to Hogwarts with him afterwards.

Capturing the idiot and the stupid lord was absurdly easy. Harry just apparated through the wards in stealth mode, stunned them, then beheaded Nagini, as she was already corrupted by having been host to Voldemort's horcrux too long.

After grabbing his prisoners, Harry returned to Grimmauld Place for Harry and Hermione, promising to return to inform Remus and Sirius of the outcome.

— brief time skip —

Deciding for a bit of dramatic surprise, and after determining that everyone should still be in the Great Hall, as they had only been gone for roughly an hour, Harry apparated all of them directly into the Great Hall.

Their appearance was not immediately noted, as everyone was cowering away from the pair of dementors that had appeared with the Minister. Minister Fudge had apparently been attempting to get Crouch, Jr., kissed but the dementors were unable to reach their intended victim and were getting agitated.

"Really, Fudge, you're still stupid enough to bring dementors into a school full of children, without even having them removed from the Great Hall first, no less?" Harry shook his head in disappointment as everyone turned their attention to him and his entourage. Whispers began breaking out. "I keep hoping that just once, in one of these worlds, I'll actually meet an intelligent Minister Fudge, but I suppose I'll just be doomed to a life of disappointment on that front."

Fudge blustered and started to complain, but was interrupted by Harry when he noticed the pink toad. "Oh, it just keeps getting better and better." He mumbled. "You've brought the pink menace, whose hobby is using blood quills on children."

"How dare you make that accusation! I am the Senior Undersecretary to the Minister, you will show me respect." Umbridge bristled. "Aurors, seize that individual this instant."

Harry ignored the aurors and said, "Oi, you two." Getting the dementors' attention, who now appeared to be torn between fleeing in fear, or obeying like good little puppies. "I've got a nice treat for one of you," he said as levitated baby Voldemort and unstunned him.

"Who dares to attack Lord Voldemort?" Baby Voldemort hissed menacingly.

"Riddle, put a can in it. I'd like to get all of this nonsense taken care of as quickly as possible so I can run my other errands and get back to my wife." Harry said with an impatient tone. "Now, I've already taken care of all your little trinkets, including the bit of soul that you left in Harry Potter that's from this world. So all that's left is you, which won't be here for much longer, as you're about to become a dementor snack."

There was a lot of shock and excitement rippling through his audience. Dumbledore's mouth was hanging open in shock. The aurors stopped mid step on the way to try to arrest him. Crouch, Jr., had tears in his eyes from where he was hanging, as he looked at his master apologetically.

Looking at Crouch, Jr., reminded him, "Ah, yes, I see you have all seen I was correct about this individual's identity," said Harry, nodding to Crouch, Jr. "I'll leave the decision on his being kissed to the aurors, as I really don't care."

Then Harry nodded to Crouch, Sr., and said, "If I were you, I would bring Senior over there in for questioning. He's the reason his son was out of Azkaban, who was later able to escape the imperius, because Bertha Jorkins was unfortunate enough to stumble upon this idiot," indicating Peter Pettigrew, "who then took her to Voldemort, where he ripped through the obliviates that were performed by the Senior Crouch, because she stumbled on the secret of Crouch, Jr., being held prisoner in his own house by his own father, which in turn gave Voldemort knowledge that he would have access to another servant to help him plan his return, etc."

Ignoring his astonished audience, Harry returned his attention back to the dementors and asked, "All right. Who is the lucky one?"

Fudge finally found his voice and said, "You have no authority over the dementors, they are bound to the Ministry to do the Ministry's bidding!"

Harry said drolly, "I'm Master of Death, which gives me all the authority I would ever need." And then to prove his point he said, "All right. You on the left. You're up." Then he levitated the screaming baby Voldemort to the dementor. And then all that was left was a hollow baby construct. Harry shook his head and said sadly, "I wish I had found out whose baby he stole to get this much of a body." Then he went ahead and vanished the body, so the free DEs would not have one single piece of the idiot's body to try to resurrect, not that it would have been possible.

After a moment of silence, Harry clapped his hands and said, "All right. Now to take care of a little bit of injustice. Harry's godfather and legal guardian is currently a wanted criminal on the run because this idiot," showcasing the still stunned Pettigrew, "sided with Voldemort, was the Potters' secret keeper, and framed Sirius Black for that betrayal and the murder of himself and13 muggles.

"As you can see, he is alive and well. He is a rat animagus and lived with the Weasleys as their pet rat Scabbers for years, before he was revealed last year. Due to Fudge's idiocy, and likely the fact that he is being bribed by the Death Eater Lucius Malfoy, who thinks his son stands to inherit the Black fortune, when it's actually Harry that is the heir, Sirius was not exonerated. Though he never received a trial either, he was just unceremoniously chucked into Azkaban, the pureblood heir to an ancient and noble house, no less, chucked into Azkaban without a trial. Even the Lestranges were given a trial, but not the sole and remaining heir of the House of Black, godfather to the Boy-Who-Lived. Seems fishy to me." Harry said, while alternating meeting the eyes of Fudge, Umbridge, Dumbledore, who was still shackled and silenced, and Madam Bones.

Madam Bones cleared her throat and said, "You're sure of your facts?"

Harry nodded and said, "I'll leave you a copy of my memories to view in a pensieve at your convenience. It will be up to you to investigate and make sure the history of this world matches the history of my world; however, based on what I've observed so far, it's identical."

Madam Bones nodded solemnly.

"You need to investigate Dumbledore, too. I'm sure you'll find plenty of evidence against him in his office. You'll see all the plans he had laid out with the Weasleys and the plan they formed for Harry, from the way he was raised, to the contingency plans they had in place if he didn't die defeating Voldemort." Harry turned to Harry and gave him a comforting squeeze on his shoulder.

Harry ended up spending about three months in this world, making sure that the cleanup and fallouts went through without a hitch.

He shook his head in mirth as he remembered how they attempted to force him to compete in the Triwizard Tournament, because his name came out. Harry laughed in their faces and told them he had no intention of competing. The real champions would be at a severe disadvantage, considering he had already won the thing when he was 14, now that he was an ageless immortal, they wouldn't stand a chance of winning at all.

Fudge and Umbridge were investigated and found guilty of tons of crimes, including the acceptance of bribes and being behind the disappearances of many muggleborns over the years.

The free death eaters were all tried with veritaserum this time and the only one that was found remorseful and redeemable was Severus Snape. While the others were sentenced to life in Azkaban, Snape received community service. He was ordered to provide St. Mungo's with potions for the next several years. He was thankful for the opportunity and glad to be finished teaching the dunderheads.

Sirius was freed and officially given custody of Harry, who was ecstatic to never have to darken the doorstep of the Dursleys again.

Harry gave Harry and Hermione a ring each that was blood bound to them, so that only he or she could remove it. The ring would render harmful and mind altering potions useless, that way neither one would ever have to worry about love potions or any other mind-altering potion.

While Harry knew what he needed to do to become an animagus, he was grateful to have Sirius there with him to walk him through it. Surprise, surprise, he was a black-colored phoenix with green eyes.

The wizarding world was still in the process of cleaning itself up, but Harry didn't feel the need to stay and oversee everything. It was enough for him that Voldemort was no more and Dumbledore had been carted off to Azkaban along with Molly Weasley, the fact that they had taken care of the free DEs while he was still here was just a bonus.

Sirius, Remus, Harry, and Hermione knew to be wary of any remaining Weasleys, but retaliation from them was not really expected after they were thoroughly tested by mind healers. It seems that only Ron and Ginny would need to see a mind healer every week for the rest of their lives. Harry hoped they stuck with it even after they were adults.

Harry shook himself out of his thoughts and gave Sirius and Remus a final hug goodbye, he had already gone to Hogwarts to tell Harry and Hermione goodbye when he gave them their rings.

Then after firmly setting the time and location in his mind, along with feeling for his connection to Merope, he left this world with a silent pop and returned back to Forks.

Back in Forks, Washington:

Harry arrived where he was planning to this time and he let his breath out in relief. Merope felt and heard his arrival and smiled in affection, "Trip go well?"

Harry rushed over to her and pulled her up into his arms and breathed in her scent, oh how much he had missed it, "My luck caused me to travel at the exact point that the Goblet of Fire shot out my name, so I arrived in the middle of the Great Hall, rather than where I was aiming for."

Merope giggled and asked, "And did you get them all set straight?"

"How do you know I didn't just leave them to their own mess and pop to somewhere else?" Harry asked curiously.

Merope smiled and said, "Because I know you. You'll help everywhere you can." Then she gave him a passionate kiss, which he returned enthusiastically. When they pulled away to breathe, Merope asked, "Well, did you become an animagus?"

Harry smiled and said, "Yes, I'm a black-colored phoenix with green eyes. I'll show you as soon as I've given you a proper greeting.

Then he popped them to the bedroom where he continued to show Merope just how much he missed her while he was gone.

A/N: I apologize that this chapter took so long for me to produce and post, but hopefully you'll be satisfied due to the length of this chapter. I won't promise that I'll manage to make any of the other chapters this long, but I'm going to try to produce the longer chapters (4-5,000 words or more) more often than I do the shorter chapters. It all depends on how the story is flowing for me as I'm writing it. I'm expecting my next chapter will include Bella's introduction and probably a few of the wolves.

Also, I didn't proofread the Goblet of Fire/Hogwarts portion of this chapter as well as I did the rest of the chapter, but I did try to proofread it as I was typing it section by section. If you see any major errors, let me know and I'll go back and fix it. I'm not worried about a missed comma or anything like that, but I'll fix anything that is glaringly obvious if you see it and want to tell me about it.
