Reyna regained consciousness, inhaling sharply from the pain that she was in from her last punishment. Her vision was blurry, and she was fairly certain that she would never use her left eye again. She kept her jaw clenched as she pressed a hand to a particularly large wound on her ribs, trying to pull herself into a sitting position, thinking of the dream she had.

She knew that it wasn't really a dream, and while her heart swelled, she felt annoyed that Peter wouldn't listen to her.

She gasped as black spots appeared in her eyes, her knees shaking violently beneath her. She leaned against the wall of the dank room she was in, tears leaking from her tear ducts despite the way she ignored the pain. Her breathing was harsh as she tried to keep herself steady, all of her muscles quaking in protest. She could make out the faint sounds of screams and she huffed, clearly unimpressed. She took a small step forward, only to yelp as she tripped, a strangled grunt sounded as she collapsed from the small stair fall that she had taken.

"Just my luck," she muttered to herself, remaining curled on the cool concrete for a second, pain making all of her exhausted limbs throb. Her eyes flashing determinedly, she held her breath and rolled onto her stomach, forcing her body to rest on her feet, keeping her legs bent.

Crouching on the floor, a deep wound on her thigh was pulled out, and it began to bleed again. Muttering curses, she collapsed on to her butt, pulling a piece of her torn shirt off to wrap around the cut and try to clot the blood. Once it was bandaged to the best of her shaky ability, she pulled herself to her feet, barely able to hold her own weight.

"This must be a joke," she whispered, half hysterical.

She began to look around her prison. At the center was a hearth, the fire burning tall. Under the screaming, she could hear the sound of water dripping. Drip. Drip. Drip. She could tell by the echoing that she was underground. The room was dark and the air humid and cold. She could sense another presence just as they spoke.

"Stop! That's exactly what he wants. It's a trick. He wants you to think you can escape, but you can't. No one can."

Reyna managed to turn, grimacing in the process, to face the girl that had spoken. Sitting in another elevated box was a brunette, her face dirty, but her blue eyes shone brightly, though they were empty and resigned. She was dressed in a purple cloak, and she was huddled into a corner of her 'room'.

"Which is exactly why I am going to break out," Reyna said matter-of-factly.

Reyna had to balance on one foot, gasping at the electric shocks that ran through her thigh. She clutched at the bloody shirt there, knowing that the wound would be infected soon. She somehow managed to remain upright, but it wasn't without fight, and it became next to impossible to see from the tears that fell from her one good eye. Hesitantly limping, she started towards the opening that lead to a corridor.

"Don't! He'll hunt you down!"

"Look, I don't know who you are, but there is nothing worse that Hades could do to me than he has already done," Reyna hissed, glaring at the weak girl.

Said girl flinched in surprise from Reyna's words, but she quickly recovered.

"I don't mean Hades."

"Then who the bloody hell are you talking about?"

"No. Just don't."

"I don't know if you have noticed, but I really don't have time for this. This isn't my first imprisonment, and it probably won't be my last," Reyna hissed logically, every second that she remained on her feet was making her insides light on fire, though her muscles were already ash in respects to the burning. "I will not just sit around," she spat. "Someone is here for me, and while he is an idiot, he is my idiot, so I have to do what I can to make his life easier."

"How do you know he's here?"

"Does it matter? Why am I even talking to you about this?"

"How do you know it isn't a trick? Hades would do something like this."

"I just know! I take it you've never been in love before. Now, what's keeping us in here?"

"Something you don't want to face."

Reyna groaned in frustration, her eyes rolling skyward. "Have you listened to me at all? Stop speaking in riddles, I do not have the time or energy." Grunting, she raised her free hand. "Time to go."

"Are you mad?" the other girl hissed.

"Definitely, but all the best people are," Reyna said, her smirk showing just how true it was. "I'm your only chance, so come on. I won't ask again."

The girl whimpered, but still stood, her eyes darting around fearfully as she stepped down. Reyna's nostrils flared in annoyance.

"Now, was that so hard?" Reyna asked, her voice taking on a mocking quality like she was speaking to a baby. The brunette nodded furiously, not picking up on Reyna's blatant sarcasm.

She led the terrified teenager out of the room, the girl in the purple cloak clutching her arm as she cowered behind an injured Reyna at every noise, even jumping at her own shadow, though she was even more surprised she noticed that Reyna didn't have shadow.

As they got further, torches lining the walls, Reyna knew that they were nearing the entrance (exit) by the growling that was progressively growing in volume, and the brunette grew more frightened.

"I told you we'll never make it!" she wailed, making Reyna want to slap her.

"Not with that attitude," Reyna mumbled under her breath before looking over her shoulder, the torn flesh of her neck stinging with the slightest movement. "Please shut up, your shouting isn't going to help us stay off the radar," Reyna hissed quietly. "Besides," she said in an offhanded tone. "We won't make it."

"What?" the girl asked, her expression showing no fear as she was too confused. Reyna wondered if she was part fairy and could only feel one emotion at once.

"Did your mother drop you on your head when you were a child?" Reyna asked rhetorically. She was at her wits end, taking her frustration out on the annoying though innocent girl. "You will make it. I'll hold off the Cerberus, and you can run. Once you are free, you'll need to find Emma Swan. My name is Reyna, she'll recognize it. Tell her to deliver a message Pet- Pan and Killian Jones."

"What message?" the girl asked.

"'Find me, you idiots'. Tell Pan 'The game has begun', he'll know what it means," Reyna said, knowing that was all that would need to be said.

Reyna watched the emotions on the other girl's face before her face hardened and she nodded. "Okay."

Reyna smiled, her face crying out in protest. She really didn't want to be a dog toy, or move at all, but it was necessary.

"Go that way!" Reyna yelled, pointing in the opposite direction that she was heading towards. Forcing herself into a jog, even though she knew that her ankle was broken, she ran down the hall, panting as her lungs struggled and failed to keep up with demand. She fell to the ground at the feet of the beast, looking up though her clouded vision to see three heads staring at her, each with two menacing black eyes. They each bared their teeth, revealing razor sharp fangs that dripped with their saliva.

Reyna didn't feel any fear. She was already dead. She stared at the creature, whose black coat was shining.

"I hate puppies," she muttered before she blacked out, the pain and exhaustion too much, though she did have some mythological help, the gods helping to protect her from their brother/uncle.

"Mom! We already covered this trail, it was cold! Why are you so dead set on looking here again? Don't you think we make sure that Hook and Pan haven't killed each other yet?" Henry said, following his blonde mother through the trees of their half of the forest, the sky grey and dreary.

"Then we cover it again, and we keep going until the trail is hot," Emma said firmly. "Nothing unites two people like a common goal, and more so a common enemy: Hades."

"You sound like grandpa," Henry said, scrunching his nose. "Mr. Gold," he explained.

There was a sound of a twig snapping, and they looked up to see Regina and Robin walking in their direction.

"You'd think there'd be more hot trails in the Underworld. There is no sign of Reyna in the North Woods," Regina said dryly.

Emma sighed, stopping in the middle of the hills around them. "Well, maybe we should check out by the Troll Bridge.

"Wait," Regina said, freezing.

"What?" Emma asked, looking over her shoulder.

"There may be a quicker way to search."

"How?"

"In Storybrooke, I have maps of the whole town."

"So you think the equivalent maps of this town are here?"

"Everything else in Bizarro Storybrooke has an analogous partner."

Emma nodded, starting off into the trees.

"Emma?" the blonde heard a few moments later, but she was squatting on the ground, examining a clue.

"Regina, I found something."

Regina walked faster, stopping at her shoulder. "Blood," Regina whispered tensely at the red liquid.

"There's a trail of it," Emma said, pointing off to the left, "It's not dry yet, meaning it is fresh. Reyna," she quickly got to her feet, jogging to the left. "Reyna! Reyna!" she yelled. She stopped at a crumpled cloak at the end of the trail.

"Not Reyna, but I met her," the girl groaned.

"Who are you? Where's Reyna?" Emma rattled off, looking around for Hook's sister.

The girl opened her mouth to answer, only to hear a loud bark and growl. Her eyes widened in fear, and they all looked in the direction of the sound.

"We have to get out of here," she advised.

"What the hell is that?" Regina and Emma asked in unison.

"No time! It's coming, I have to hide. We have to go, now!"

Emma didn't hesitate, and the three disappeared in a cloud of white smoke.

The trio appeared in the Nolan loft, everything in it covered in a thick layer of dust.

"Your parents' apartment? Really?" Regina asked, raising an eyebrow and pursing her lips.

Emma took the plastic that was covering the couch and helping the girl onto it.

"Lie down," she said softly. "It's the first place I thought of," she informed Regina.

"What if whoever lives here, you know, comes home?"

Emma looked around for signs of 'life', only to see a picture of her parents on the side table. Regina followed her gaze. "This place is just waiting for your parents to die?"

"Creepy," Emma muttered. "That seems to be the case. I think we're safe here."

"It's officially a cold day in hell when I move in with the Charmings."

Emma rolled her eyes before sitting on the arm of the couch next to the brunette girl. "What is your name? Are you okay?"

The girl was shaking slightly, but she nodded. "I… I w-will b-be," she stammered. "My name's Meg."

"And Reyna?"

"I…don't know. Are you Emma Swan?" Meg asked.

"Yeah, how did you know that?" Emma said confusedly.

Meg looked relieved. "Reyna told me to find you. She wants you to give a message to…" Meg paused, trying to remember. "Pan and Killian Jones."

Emma nodded. "Okay, do you know where she is?"

Meg's eyes widened with fear. "In an underground prison. I escaped through the tunnels with her help. They let out of a cave in the woods, and next thing I knew, you found me."

"Could you find it again? The cave?"

Meg hesitantly nodded her head. "Well…yes, but it is guarded by something terrible," she said, shuddering.

"What is it?"

"It…has three heads. Its teeth can crush every bone with a single bite. The eyes burn right through your soul as it finishes you off," she whispered. "Reyna went to face it so I could escape and give you the message," she said, on the verge of tears. "Nothing can defeat it."

"You left her," Pan snarled, tightening his fist. Meg doubled over, clutching her throat.

"Pan! Pan, stop!" Emma shouted while Mary-Margaret tried to support Meg. Killian just stood back, glaring at the girl.

Pan looked up at Emma in disbelief. "You've got to be joking. She deserves this. If she hadn't been such a coward, Reyna could have escaped too! She would be here! I would have her back!" he yelled, clearly on the brink of insanity. Emma looked at him sadly.

"S…he…wa…nt…ed…mess…age," Meg choked. Pan flexed his fingers, glaring down as she collapsed completely, gasping for air.

"What?" Pan snapped.

"She (gasp) wanted (gasp) to get a (gasp) message (gasp) to you (gasp) and him," Meg panted.

"Well?" he said impatiently.

"Find me, you idiots," she quoted, eyes darting between the two before settling on Pan. "The game has begun."

Pan tensed for a second before deflating, pinching the bridge of his nose. He snapped his fingers after a second. "Hercules," he whispered in realization. "Reyna, you are a genius," he said, looking out the window sadly.

Mary-Margaret gasped at his words. "Of course! I know what the beast is," she said, seeing everyone's questioning looks. "And how we can defeat it."

"Are you sure you don't want me to go with you?" Peter pouted, flopping onto the bed as he predicted Reyna's answer.

"Of course I want you to come, but it is better if you stay here. Besides, I can handle this. If I need help, you'll know," she said, walking over to where he was laying and sitting on the edge.

He huffed, making Reyna roll her eyes.

"We need to check on it," Reyna said. "Last time we went, Regina was on a war path, and she was getting help from Rumplestiltskin. What if she does something stupid and kills Snow White?"

Peter sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I should have taken the seer's power."

"It wouldn't have worked here," Reyna said. Peter raised an eyebrow. "Neverland exists outside time. You can't see the future in a place that eludes the most fundamental illusion," Reyna explained.

Peter groaned. "Fine! Just be careful."

Reyna put a hand over her heart, looking offended. "Me? Not careful?"

Peter growled, pulling her to lie next to him. Reyna shoved him off, laughing. "I have to go."

"No, you don't."

"We're not having this conversation again," Reyna said, glaring half-heartedly. Peter pushed himself up onto his elbows, giving her a smirk.

"If you must go, at least kiss me goodbye."

Reyna rolled her eyes, but she moved forward, pressing her lips to his in a quick kiss. Before Peter could deepen it, she pulled away, smiling at his dazed expression that quickly morphed into a pout.

"Come on. You can walk me to the beach," Reyna said, holding out her hand. Peter took it, though he grumbled unintelligibly under his breath, clearly put out. Reyna chuckled and pulled him out the door.

At the beach, the shadow hovered over the ocean as Reyna gave Peter a final farewell. She let the purple figure carry her off, watching as Peter's figure got smaller.

Shadow placed her gently on her feet at the center of the forest. Glancing around, she could make out a small light, and she knew it was a fire. Making her way over, she found a boy standing with his sword poised, clearly practicing his movements. His back was to her, and she watched as he swung, hitting the trunk of a tree.

"That isn't really a fair fight," she said, "You should at least give the tree a weapon to defend itself."

The boy spun around, and Reyna would guess he was fifteen. He pointed the sword at her.

"You have a pretty good swing, but you aren't fluid in your movements," she critiqued before he could speak. "You wouldn't win in a fight against everyone. Just those with even less skill."

"Who are you?" he finally spoke when she paused.

"Did I forget to introduce myself? I'm Lily."

"No you aren't," he accused, narrowing his eyes.

Reyna smirked, impressed that he recognized her lie. "What's your name, kid?"

"I'm not a kid. The name's Hercules."

"Ah. The demigod. Nice to meet you, Herc."

"It's Hercules," he grumbled.

"Yeah, but that is such a mouthful. Besides, we're going to be friends, so you need a nickname," she said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"You still didn't tell me your name."

"Names have power. However, it is bad form to be so impolite. My name is Reyna. Call me Lily if we run into anyone else."

Hercules slowly lowered his sword, nodding, though he still looked at her guardedly. "What are you doing out here anyways? Are you lost?"

"Definitely," she said, though her face was amused. Hercules wondered if he missed a joke.

"Where are you from? I can help you get home," he offered. Reyna almost laughed. All the heroes were the same.

"I don't need help getting home. I could go back anytime."

"Where do you live?"

Reyna rolled her eyes. "Are you this nosey with all strangers you meet?" Hercules just stared at her, waiting for an answer. "Okay, not the joking type," she muttered before pointing at the sky. "Second to the right and straight on 'til morning," she answered. Hercules looked confused. "I know, a curious address, but it's home."

"Uh… sure," Hercules said. Reyna laughed.

"You shouldn't lower your sword. What if I'm a threat?"

"You couldn't be a-" He stopped, his eyes wide as she suddenly had a dagger poised at his throat, using her other hand to disarm him.

"I could," she said, angry that he underestimated her. She stepped back, handing his sword back. "You have a lot to learn. Good thing I can teach you," she smirked. Hercules would be able to help her with Snow White.

Pan watched the boy that was easily moving the large boats with disinterest and a hint of jealousy (not that he would admit it). He remembered when Reyna had returned and mentioned him in passing, though she wouldn't share the story until he began to panic about her leaving him. She told the story of Hercules at the campfire that night.

Emma kept a hand on his forearm to prevent him from moving closer. Mary-Margaret stepped closer hesitantly.

"Herc?" she asked. He didn't look a day older.

The young boy looked up from his work, looking confused. His eyes looked at the four that were standing on the docks, though he stared longer at the woman who had used his nickname. Only two people had ever called him that, and the woman didn't have violet eyes that always lingered in his thoughts. The dark-haired woman stepped closer with a sad smile.

"You don't recognize me, do you?"

Hercules stared at her, searching her hazel eyes. The same eyes of the girl he had trained. "Snow?" he said, surprised by the changes in her appearance. She grew up.

Getting to his feet, he ran and threw his arms around his second real friend, even though the circumstances, he was happy to see her. Snow hugged him back just as tightly.

Mary-Margaret pulled away, looking him over. "You're still so young. When…How did…?" she asked, unsure how to word her question.

"How did I die?" Hercules supplied bluntly. It was a characteristic he picked up from Reyna. "That isn't important. What are you doing here? How did you die?"

"I'm still alive, actually. I came here to help my daughter."

"You have a daughter?"

Mary-Margaret nodded, her face glowing with happiness. "And a son. And a grandson too."

Hercules blinked in surprise. "You are not a grandmother."

She chuckled in response. "I am. It's a long story, but it has been quite a life."

"Yeah, I wish I could say the same."

Mary-Margaret blinked back tears. "I'm sorry, that isn't how I meant it. What if I told you there was a way from you to leave the Underworld once and for all?"

"I can't move on because I never finished my Labors."

"I know. And Cerberus is here."

Hercules gulped. "Here?"

"He's guarding a prison where the sister of the man my daughter loves is being held."

"And?" Hercules asked tensely.

"You're the only one strong enough to defeat the beast. It's your destiny," Mary-Margaret said, not understanding Hercules' expression.

Hercules turned his back on her, going back to the boats he was moving a second ago. "That hero died," he said dejectedly.

"Only if you let him! Don't forget what you taught me. You can't let fear of failure keep you from trying. You're our only hope to save Reyna," Mary-Margaret all but pleaded.

Hercules' head shot up, spinning to face his old friend. "Reyna? Reyna Jones?" he asked frantically. Mary-Margaret nodded confusedly.

"How did you know that?"

Pan growled at the boy's expression, and Emma tightened her hand, though she knew that if Pan wanted to, he could easily break her hold. Reyna was his.

Reyna hissed as she was tossed unceremoniously to the floor by two of Hades' henchmen. "Didn't anyone ever teach you how to handle a lady," she snarled up at them, holding a hand over the worst of her new cuts in her shoulder. The two men grinned predatorily at her.

"Oh, this is going to be quite the exciting day," a voice said.

Reyna turned slightly, closing her eyes as she gasped in pain, to face the king of the Underworld. She pulled herself to sit up, glaring at the man standing over her.

"The excitement hasn't even begun. I'll kill you."

Hades laughed humorlessly. "Why does everyone make that threat? You can't kill me. I'm Hades, and this is death."

"You may be Hades, but you aren't dead. You're a god, but you can die. And I'm going to return the favor."

Hades walked forward, kneeling down and forcing her chin up to examine the wounds on her neck. He smirked as she ground her teeth. "I see you've met my pet. You're about to realize his master isn't nearly as friendly."

Reyna met his eyes, glaring. "Do your worst," she replied.

"If you insist."

Eventually, she gave into the pain, and her screams echoed off the walls, shaking the cavern around them.

Hercules made his way through the mine, his breath heavy. He wasn't sure he could face Cerberus again.

"I can do this," he muttered, glad that Mary-Margaret was still following them, that the others had listened to his pleas to stay behind.

"This is for Reyna," he said, feeling determined. "For Reyna," he chanted under his breath.

He turned the corner, his breath catching as all the heads growled, its beady black eyes filled with hate. His sword clattered out of his hand. "I can't do this," he said, his memories flashing at the forefront of his mind. The middle head snapped, and Hercules stumbled back, tripping over his own feet. He cussed as he fell. It stepped closer, and Hercules found that the sword was out of his reach. Scrambling to his feet, he turned and ran, blurring past the people of Storybrooke.

Pan raised a hand, stopping him mid step.

"Herc!" Mary-Margaret said.

Hercules tried to break the spell, but it didn't work. He winced at his nickname, thinking of a certain raven haired beauty.

"Whoa," Emma said, surprised when he materialized and looking at Pan, who glared at the younger teen.

There was ground shaking footsteps and growling, and Mary-Margaret drew her bow, leveling it at the corner. Before the beast entered the hall, there was a loud whistle. Mary-Margaret lowered her bow slowly, looking confused as all sound stopped.

"What the hell happened?" Regina asked.

"I called them off," a man said, stepping out of the shadows.

"Who are you?" Emma asked, not recognizing him. Pan tensed, turning to face the god.

"Hades," he snarled at the time Hercules answered, "My uncle," in a sullen voice.

"Hades?" Emma and Regina asked in unison, surprise coloring their tones.

"Don't sound so surprised," Hades said pityingly. He stopped a few steps in front of the group of five. "Who'd you think was in charge of this place?" he asked condescendingly.

"If this is your realm, why does this place look like Storybrooke," Regina demanded.

"I have my reasons. I don't have to share them with the likes of you," Hades sneered.

"Leave them alone, Uncle," Hercules snapped.

"There's the courage everyone talks about. Did you honestly believe you could face Cerberus again?"

Hercules dropped his eyes.

"Again?" Mary-Margaret asked confused. Hercules avoided her gaze.

Hades faked a dramatic gasp. "You mean he didn't tell you?"

"Cerberus killed you," Mary-Margaret said. It wasn't a question.

Hercules kept his eyes trained on the floor determinedly.

"It's nothing to be ashamed of, nephew," Hades said sympathetically.

"We're not afraid of you," Emma said.

"Trust me, you should be quite afraid of me because the next time you interfere, I'll come after your little family."

"Bring it," Emma snarled. "We will get Reyna."

Pan, who had been watching the encounter closely, his eyes not wavering from Hades, spoke up. "Where is she, Hades?" he said tightly.

"Peter Pan. I thought I had the pleasure of leaving you behind," Hades said with a smirk, ignoring Emma.

"The only people I leave behind are those I kill," Pan snapped.

Hades laughed. "I'm really scared now. As for your pirate, she wanted me to give you a message. Personally." He held up Reyna's charm necklace, coated in blood. Pan saw red, not hearing the gasps from behind him. Pan darted forward as Hades dropped it, catching it worriedly.

"What have you done to her?" he yelled, the blood sticking to his fingers as he held it. He examined the charms quickly, not letting on when he saw one missing. Emma was green, and Hercules wasn't able to stop his tears from following.

"It's not what I have done that you should worry about. It's what I'm going to do," Hades said darkly.

"If you lay one more hand on her, I'll-" Pan started.

"I haven't laid a hand on her," Hades said innocently. "And you should be careful who you threaten. You may be the most powerful sorcerer on a mortal level, but I am a god. I'm in a whole new league of power. You didn't stand a chance in the past, and you don't stand one now." Hades was gone in a blast of blue fire.

"What is he talking about?" Regina said, glaring at the teen on the floor.

Hercules stumbled, about to throw in the towel. He wondered what kind of hero he was if he couldn't even finish his first Labor. Of course the pelt was impenetrable! How could he beat that?

"Come on, Herc! Use your brain!"

He looked up, finding Reyna standing off to the side, a bow poised at the beast. She flashed him a smile, her eyes alight with glee as she watched him battle the Nemean Lion. He stared at her as she blew her bangs out of her face, glad that she would be the last thing he sees.

He suddenly realized that if it finished him off, it might go after her. He couldn't fathom her dying, and he definitely wouldn't be the cause of it. Feeling his resolve thicken, he looked around, racking his brain for a way to destroy it. He couldn't let Reyna down.

Without meaning to, his grip on his torch slipped, and the brush surrounding them lit up. Swearing, he turned to where the smell of burning was strongest, only to gasp as he watched the Nemean Lion hissing and attempting to paw at its fur which was becoming ash. The fire was singeing it off! He realized this, and energy and relief coursed through him.

"Now!" Reyna yelled, releasing the arrow. It hit it in the side, making it roar in agony.

Hercules, stumbling forward, knowing his blunt sword would be useless. He pounced onto the fallen lion, wrapping his arm around its neck, ignoring its razor sharp claws. It rolled and yelped and clawed, but Hercules managed to evade them. Slowly, the lion lost its fight, and with one strong flex and twist, Hercules broke its neck.

Reyna ran forward, driving her dagger through its head, "One more for good measure," she muttered. Hercules stepped back, staring down at the monster's corpse.

"Herc! You did it!" Reyna yelled excitedly, running towards him and throwing her arms around him.

Hercules forgot his horror when she spoke, smiling and wrapping his arms around her waist.

"I couldn't have done it without you," he said, unbothered by the cliché.

Reyna laughed, pulling away. "Please. I couldn't have strangled that thing! This was all you!"

Hercules' let his eyes wander over her delighted face, taking in all of her beauty and the way her eyes shined. He was sure that a sappy smile wormed its way onto his face, but he didn't care. He just loved having her in his arms.

Hercules stopped what he was doing, which was working on the boats at the dock, when metal hit the pavement. He slowly turned around, expecting to see Snow, but instead finding Pan glaring at him.

"Pick it up," Pan commanded.

Hercules set the two anchors he was carrying down. "Don't waste your time. I can't defeat Cerberus, and we shouldn't make my uncle mad."

"Quit with the pathetic self-pity and grab the sword."

"No!" Hercules snapped.

"You're in love with her," Pan said, and it wasn't a question.

"What?" Hercules asked, looking up in surprise.

"Reyna. You love her."

Hercules dropped his gaze. "I don't know what you're talking about," he mumbled.

"Please, I can see it in your face, and no boy cries for a girl he doesn't love."

"What does it even matter? She's with you, she doesn't want me."

Pan pinched the bridge of his nose, wondering why Reyna liked the boy. As a friend, he reminded himself when jealousy flooded him. His glare intensified as he realized that Hercules was everything he wasn't: A hero with great muscles and a kind heart.

"Does that mean you don't care what happens to her? I saw her. Hades is hurting her, and you don't care?" Pan said angrily, wanting to get under the boy's skin.

Hercules flinched. "He's hurting her?"

"Yes! And you need to defeat the Cerberus. If she loved you that way you love her, I would step out of the way," Pan said, unsure if it was true or not. Part of him just wanted her to be happy, but the more selfish side wanted her to be happy with him. "I would do it because it would make her happy, and it would kill me to be the reason she wasn't. She does love you," Pan said bitterly, "It just isn't how you want her to."

Hercules sighed. "He has three heads. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't face all three. I couldn't do it the first time, and it won't make a difference that I'm dead."

"That's why you are going to defeat it this time."

"What?"

Pan smirked. "You aren't taking on three heads; you just have to take on one."

"But the Cerberus has three heads."

Pan frowned, annoyed. "Are you daft?" He waved a hand, making a fire ball appear. "You aren't fighting it alone. I'm not going to stand by and let that thing live."

"You want to face Cerberus with me?"

"I want Reyna back, and this hellhound is a means to that end." Pan bent down, picking up the sword. "We'll defeat that three-headed beast for the girl we both love. For Reyna." He held it out to Hercules, an offering.

Normally, Pan would have faced the beast on his own, and there is a high possibility that he could defeat it that way. However, he knew that it was Hercules destiny, and that Reyna would want her friend to move onto a better afterlife. Besides, he didn't want Hercules anywhere near Reyna when he did find her. With that thought, he knew that he couldn't kill Hercules (again) just for loving her because, honestly, who wouldn't fall in love with her? He sighed internally, pushing down the growth that he had made. He was not changing, growing up.

Hercules' expression hardened as he grasped the hilt, nodding to Pan determinedly. "For Reyna," he agreed.

"Are you okay? What happened?" Hercules asked, seeing the others from Storybrooke rushing down Main St.

"Cerberus," David said, "He found us."

"Where's the prisoner?" Pan asked, his narrowed eyes searching for Meg.

"She ran when the hellhound attacked. We gave her a head start, but we couldn't hold it off for long.

"We should split up," Mary-Margaret sighed. "We have to find her before that monster does."

David nodded. "Let's go."

He, Mary-Margaret, and Regina ran in one direction. Emma, Hook, and Felix (at Pan's command) headed in another. Pan started towards the library, his face stoic.

"Come on," he told Hercules without turning around.

"You shouldn't be here!" Meg whispered when Pan passed her, making him stop in his tracks.

"We're here to help," Hercules replied before Pan could say something mean.

Growling came from Pan's left, and Meg trembled with fear as her eyes widened, pointing toward the dog that was running towards them.

"He found us," she cried.

"What now?" Hercules asked, looking at Pan, who was staring at Cerberus with a bored expression.

"Get her in the library," Pan told him.

Hercules helped her to her feet, pulling her into the boarded up doors. Pan followed them in backwards, shutting the doors. Pan stopped himself from sealing them with magic, reminding himself that they needed the hound to get inside.

"Any bright ideas?" Hercules asked, staring at the doors as he crouched behind a table.

The growling got closer to the door, and Meg was shaking with fear and crying. Pan sneered down at her.

"When it gets in, stab one of the heads," Pan commanded simply.

"What about the other two?" Hercules shouted over one of the shattering windows. Meg screamed.

"I'll handle them."

"What about her?"

"Me? I can't do that!" Meg cried.

"Exactly," Pan snapped. "Which is why I didn't offer." He looked at Hercules. "I'll take one of them, and while the other is distracted with the bigger threat, me, you get the middle one." Pan wouldn't have any trouble taking two of them, but he knew that since it was Hercules' Labor, it would be better have him do most of the work.

Hercules gulped, but nodded, turning to the door fearfully. The demon rammed into the door, making Meg and Hercules jump.

"Ready?" Pan asked.

Hercules nodded, the sword shaking in his hand. "For Reyna," he muttered under his breath. The doors burst open, and Cerberus stepped through them, growling as its six eyes looked at the libraries occupants. Its lips pulled back over its sharp fangs, growling as it lowered its body to pounce.

"Now," Pan said calmly, closing his raised hand.

The right head whimpered, unable to breath. As intended, the middle head growled at Pan. At the same time, Hercules launched at the left head, driving his sword through the roof of its open mouth, impaling its brain. It fell limp and he pulled his sword out. Seeing this, Pan opened his hand, snapping his wrist lazily, making the right's neck break, killing it instantly. The middle tried to move towards Pan, but Hercules was already there, stabbing it.

The beast fell. Hercules, raising the sword again, drove it through where its heart was. "One more for good measure," he growled.

Cerberus disappeared as a cloud of golden sand, and Hercules stepped back, panting as the adrenaline settled. Pan laughed at his shocked expression.

"We did it," Hercules breathed. There was a crash, and both boys looked to see Meg pass out, neither moving to catch her. Hercules chuckled. "We did it," he repeated, turning to Pan. "Thanks for the help." Pan just nodded.

They met with the others at Granny's, and Mary-Margaret wrapped a blanket around a shaken Meg. Hercules sat in front of her, studying her features. He couldn't help but compare her to Reyna. Mary-Margaret was whispering to David, as were Emma and Hook, and Pan and Felix.

Meg glanced up. "What?" she asked.

"Nothing," Hercules said, shaking his head. He looked over. "Can I talk to you, Pan?" he asked, getting to his feet. Pan looked up, as did everyone else. He shrugged and followed after Hercules

Reyna was running through the woods, recognizing them from her visit roughly 3 years ago (actual time). She wondered what Hercules was up to, if he had made it to Olympus, but she didn't have time to dwell on it when there was a growl. She wished that she was in the Enchanted Forest under better circumstances. She from the day she came back, she vowed not to return, knowing that it would only lead to terrible memories. Now she had been there for a few weeks, and she was miserable. She hoped Pan kept his word, though she knew he wouldn't, and that she would survive long enough to see him again.

The growling got closer, and Reyna pushed herself harder. She looked over her shoulder, not seeing the boy that ran into her path. She slammed into the other body in front of her, groaning in pain. Two arms wrapped around her waist to catch her.

She was about to yell, when she looked up to meet a pair of familiar brown eyes.

"Herc?" she panted, her eyes wide with surprise.

Hercules looked at the girl in his arms, equally surprised. "Reyna? What are you doing here?"

Reyna continued to pant heavily. "We have to go," she said, pulling away.

"Hey, what is it?"

Reyna began to pull him along and Hercules followed willingly. Even after three years, he would follow her to the ends of the world.

"Something I'd rather not face."

The growling began to fade, and Hercules forced her to stop. "I have to go find Cerberus! I made it to my final Labor."

Reyna nodded absentmindedly, looking around cautiously. "I'm really happy for you, Herc. I wish we could have met under better circumstances." She then chuckled, thinking at how she had been thinking of him previously. "Speaking of the devil."

"Well, what are you doing here?"

"Running," Reyna answered.

"I thought you went back to Neverland," Hercules said uncomfortably, trying to not sound bitter.

Reyna nodded. "I did, but now-" she froze as a loud roar sounded, followed by pounding footsteps and growling. "It found me," she whispered.

Hercules thought this was the first time he'd seen her look scared. Her face had paled considerably. Despite everything, her torn clothes and small cuts that worried him, or the sweat that was beading on her forehead from running, she was beautiful. He quickly pulled his mind out of the gutter, wanting to take away whatever was scaring her.

He turned to see Cerberus lumbering towards them. Without second thought, he pushed her behind him. "Run! Now! Run!" he yelled.

"What? No! It'll kill you, Herc! You can't take on all three heads!"

"I don't care. Go!"

"You're coming with me or I'm not going at all. I am not going to leave you here to die."

Hercules turned to face her, putting his hands on her shoulders. "I don't care what happens to me. I want you to run and not look back, no matter what you hear."

"Herc…" Reyna muttered, but he cut her off.

"No," Hercules said, shaking his head. "If I die, I want to know that you won't. I'm in love with you, Reyna," he confessed, needing her to know in case he never saw her again.

A lump formed in Reyna's throat, and Hercules quickly leaned in, kissing her softly, lovingly. Reyna didn't kiss back, not only because she was in shock, but because she didn't feel the same way. She hated that she now knew she was hurting him.

Hercules pulled away, giving her a sad smile. "I know you don't feel the same way. Please, run. Promise me you won't come back for me." He lightly pushed her away.

"I promise." Reyna dazedly nodded, tears budding in her eyes. She slowly, unwillingly, turned away, running as fast as she could. She agreed when she thought of how it would hurt Peter for her to die.

Hercules turned back to face the hellhound, charging. He stabbed the middle head, but he wasn't quick enough to stop the other heads from getting him. He screamed in pain, despite trying to not, knowing that Reyna would hear him. He didn't want to cause her any pain. 'I'm sorry I let you down, Reyna. I love you,' he thought as he died. It may be his destiny to kill Cerberus, but Reyna would always be his unfinished business.

Reyna sobbed when she heard him scream, but she kept her promise, evading the giant dog. "I'm so sorry," she muttered to herself, shaking her head. "I'm so sorry."

Pan could only stand there, shocked. Reyna had refused to tell him what had happened before he found her in the Enchanted Forest, and he hadn't stopped asking until he had brought her to tears. She wouldn't kiss him, and had pulled away from him for awhile. He now realized why. The guilt had been eating at her.

"You… died to save Reyna."

Hercules nodded grimly, unable to look Pan in the eye. He was sure that the other teen would kill him for kissing the girl. Pan would be lying if he said he hadn't considered it, but he had to think that if it weren't for Hercules, there wouldn't have been a Reyna to save. He definitely would have destroyed the realms had she died.

"I'm really sorry, Pan," Hercules said.

"What for?" Pan asked, his eyebrows pulling together. "For kissing my girlfriend?" he said, a little anger coloring his tone. "Yes… Well, any other time, and I would have killed you. Again." Pan sighed, looking at the ceiling as he considered his next words. "But," he said, wondering is he would regret. "I'd be a hypocrite to kill you for saving her life. She's everything to me. So…Thank you," he forced at through his teeth.

Hercules met his green-eyed glare with wide eyes. Slowly he smiled. "I can see why Reyna chose you. You're a lucky guy."

"I know," Pan smirked.

Hercules stared over the bridge at the light that would lead to his happy ending. He had agreed to take Meg, not wanting to leave her behind to suffer his uncle's wrath, though he didn't particularly want to take her with him.

Meg was talking to Hook and Emma.

"Do you think you can get to the prison through the tunnels?"

"Aye. Thanks to your map," Hook said.

"If it weren't for her, I'd still be rotting in that cell. You'll tell her that I did the right thing? That she was right to tell me?"

"We will, thank you," Emma said.

On the other side, Hercules was talking to Pan.

"Are you sure you don't want me to stay and help?" he asked again. Part of him wanted to see Reyna again and help her.

"Reyna wouldn't want you to give up your happy ending because of her."

Hercules nodded. "You're right," he sighed. "I… She really loves you, and I didn't think that the kiss would change anything. All she ever did was talk about you, but I still couldn't help but fall for her. Don't let her go. Please, stop my uncle."

Pan nodded. "I'll burn this place and everyone in it to the ground if it means saving Reyna."

Hercules nodded, walking over to where Snow was standing with David.

"I was right, you became an amazing hero."

Mary-Margaret smiled sadly and stepped forward to hug him. Hercules pulled away, nodding to Pan. Meg stepped forward, grabbing his hand, and he had to fight the urge to flinch and pull away. He led her across the bridge, the light beginning to take shape.

"What is it?" Meg asked in awe.

"Olympus," Hercules said with a sad smile. He wished it was Reyna he was bringing home with him.

Taking a deep breath, he led them into the light allowing them to cross over. Outside, the clock ticked.

Pan released a breath he didn't realize he was holding and turned around. "Time to focus and find Reyna," he said, walking out of the high-ceilinged cavern without further adieu.
