My name is Mort Metzger, I am two and a half years old, and in my experience on this earth, I must say I don't like it. It is dark and scary, and I could go on all day about everything we should be afraid of but that's not the point of this story. In all my life I have never said a single word, I just find it completely unnecessary, mommy and daddy always know what I want so I don't have to voice it, and to be honest people's voices scare me so it stands to reason that my own voice would be too. Due to the fact that everything and everyone who inhabits the world is just downright scary, I will be spending whatever time I have on this planet, in the safety of my parents' company. My mom and dad are both attorneys and due to the fact that I won't be left with anyone but them. I have spent my whole life in and out of court, until that fateful day, it was the worst and best day of my life, it changed everything.

The day started like normal, mom and dad packed me lunch, a coloring book, and crayons. Everything was going fine and then we stopped at the daycare. They have tried to leave me here before, but I always manage to get out of it. Now as the car came to a stop I prepared for war. I put everything I had into making it impossible to leave me, I mustard all the tears I could bring out, and the tightest death grip a two-and-a-half-year-old could manage on my dad's leg. They seemed determined. I saw my life flash before my eyes. It was terrifying, I could vaguely hear my mother saying it would be ok, but I knew better than that. Everything was spinning out of central, I looked around for something to hold on to and then everything stopped.

She was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen; I could sense my parents looking at me trying to figure out why I stopped, but I did not care. She had light brown hair, and beautiful blue eyes, she wore a yellow sun dress with white shoes.. I walked up to her and handed her one of my cookies and said, my name is Mort Metzger and I believe in love at first sight.

I could hear my dad gasp and my mom held bake a sob. I would have turned and looked but all my attention was on the angel in front of me. She made the most adorable face I have ever seen as she took the cookie and then said, I'm Adel and I think I believe that too.

In that moment everything changed. I finally had a reason to talk, and the world didn't seem so scary anymore. I knew right then she was going to be my wife, and I would wait forever for her.
